The Secret Service gave senators a report on its investigation into the security failures at Donald Trump’s rally where someone tried to kill him.

Sen. Richard Blumenthal (D-CT) fumed about the report to reporters.

I’d say he’s itching for the Senate to release their interim report:

“I think the American people are going to be shocked, astonished and appalled by what we will report to them about the failures by the Secret Service in this assassination attempt on the former president,” Blumenthal told Fox News. “But I think they also ought to be appalled and astonished by the failure of the Department of Homeland Security to be more forthcoming, to be as candid and frank, as it should be to them in terms of providing information.”

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) made an unknown number of arrests in Nantucket, Massachusetts, this week for “immigration violations,” specifically targeting “violent offenders,” according to a press release from local officials Thursday.

The Nantucket Police Department revealed that ICE agents had contacted local Nantucket officials on Sept. 9 “concerning their planned arrival on island,” according to the press release. Local officials stated that ICE agents’ purpose was to “serve administrative arrest warrants for immigration violations,” adding that the local detective unit assisted by providing “requested addresses.”

“Their purpose on island was to serve administrative arrest warrants for immigration violations. The arrest warrants were specifically for ‘violent offenders.’ The U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement Agency, not unlike many local, state or federal agencies, requested our assistance with local knowledge of geographical areas of our town,” the press statement reads.

Queens, New York has recorded a massive surge in gruesome animal sacrifices, as scores of chickens, pigs, and rats have been found with signs of torture, mutilation, and ritual sacrifice in “twisted” rituals, according to a report from the New York Post.

In just over a month, at least nine severely wounded animals or carcasses have been discovered in the federally-managed Spring Creek Park in Howard Beach and the Jamaica Bay Wildlife Refuge in Broad Channel, the outlet reported. At least five of the wounded animals were pigs that were found with partially severed ears.

Additional findings from the gruesome scene include a barely alive baby rat that was found tied in a bag with chicken bones, a severed chicken head, and a live hen in distress. Authorities also found a dead dog with its neck snapped.

CNN Host Got Massively Triggered by the Cat Memes About Haitian Migrants– townhall.com

The liberal media and their partners in crime—the Democratic Party—had a total meltdown over the Haitian migrant story coming out of Ohio. There have been multiple reports of these people reportedly hacking up people’s pets, ducks, and geese. Tens of thousands were imported into Springfield, Ohio, thanks to the Biden-Harris immigration policy.

The story about pets being eaten has been debunked, but for a time, it produced excellent memes on social media that triggered liberal America to no end. CNN’s Dana Bash was particularly shocked by these memes, declaring cat memes to be racist. Rep. Eric Swalwell (D-CA) had a total meltdown over them.

Florida Attorney General Sues Biden Administration Over Policy Allowing Release of Dangerous Criminals Into U.S. Communities – conservativeroof.com

Florida Attorney General Ashley Moody filed a lawsuit against the Biden administration on Tuesday, demanding accountability for its lack of response to a Freedom of Information Act (FOIA) request.

The request, initially submitted by the Attorney General’s office in March, seeks documents related to the Biden administration’s policies that permit dangerous criminals to be released directly into U.S. communities from prison.

Attorney General Moody voiced her frustration with the Biden administration, stating, “In addition to flat out refusing to secure the border, reports indicate that President Biden and failed Border Czar Kamala Harris refuse to deport dangerous illegal immigrant prisoners once they are released from prison.”

GUATEMALA CITY — The U.S. government announced Thursday that it secured the release of 135 Nicaraguan political prisoners, who have arrived in Guatemala where they will apply for entry to the United States or other countries.

National Security Advisor Jake Sullivan said in a statement that they were released on humanitarian grounds.

“No one should be put in jail for peacefully exercising their fundamental rights of free expression, association, and practicing their religion,” Sullivan said.

Deputy Assistant Secretary of State for Western Hemisphere Affairs Eric Jacobstein, speaking with reporters, said that the Nicaraguan government received nothing in exchange for the prisoners’ release and the negotiation signaled no change in U.S. policy toward the government of President Daniel Ortega.

“Though the pressure itself has been consistent, the planning and execution of this release was rapid, and we’ve worked quickly to facilitate the travel of these individuals and really ensure their safety at every step of the journey,” Jacobstein said, adding that Nicaragua continues to “unjustly” detain people.

New York Paying Migrant Familes $4000 to Aid Transition Out of Shelters – www.thegatewaypundit.com

Migrants arrive at the Roosevelt Hotel in NYC, which serves as a central processing center.

While millions of Americans are suffering in a disastrous Biden-Harris economy, illegals in New York are getting extra help that is not available to citizens.

On Friday, city officials confirmed to Fox News Digital that a pilot project has been launched that provides migrants $4000 to help transition out of city shelters.

Per Fox:

The NYC Department of Homeless Services (DHS) offered 150 families cash assistance through the Asylee Moveout Assistance (AMA), a pilot created in December last year to help find permanent housing for asylum seekers. The pilot was launched in partnership with some city shelters providing services for asylum seekers.

“The city is using every tool at its disposal to implement innovative and cost-effective solutions to help recently-arrived asylum seekers residing in shelters take the next steps in their journey,” a Department of Social Services (DSS) spokesperson told Fox News Digital.

DHS officials in December started dispensing $4000 to 150 households who live in the city’s emergency DHS shelters.

“Since December, DSS has been working with a few not-for-profit providers operating emergency sites to pilot a new effort to reduce barriers to obtaining housing by helping asylum-seeking families who have identified permanent housing with the upfront cost of moving into their new home,” the DSS spokesperson said.

The program is only available to asylum-seeking families and pregnant women who are residing in select DHS emergency shelters.  Struggling U.S. citizens need not apply.

Officials claim the funds are coming from “leftover” money from existing DHS budgets.

The assertion of “leftover” funds is ridiculous when looking at the astronomical cost of housing and caring for migrants.

During a City Council hearing in March, Social Services Commissioner Molly Wasow Park reported that it now costs $388 per day for NYC to house and care for a single migrant household.

According to The New York Times, as of August, more than 210,000 migrants have arrived in New York City since the spring of 2022.

NYC has provided a variety of goodies to migrants, including passing out pre-paid debit cards.

That pilot program provides migrant families of four with two children under 5 with up to $350 each week until the end of their stay, costing an estimated $53 million.

Migrant Surge a ‘National Problem’, People Believe They Get Benefits if They Come Here– www.breitbart.com

On Friday’s broadcast of the Fox News Channel’s “Special Report,” New York City Councilman Kalman Yeger (D) said that the influx of migrants is “an absolute national problem that is foisted upon cities like ours where people believe that they can come here, they’re going to get a room at the Roosevelt Hotel, they’re going to get a phone, and they all seem to have motorcycles and they seem to be doing just fine.”

Yeger began by saying, “Well, anybody who says that every single person who comes over the border, lawfully or unlawfully, is here to commit crimes is simply wrong. But, at the same time, it’s naive and false to say that nobody who comes here is committing crimes. And the reality is, when a city like New York, with the numbers at approximately, as of two months ago, over 205,000 migrants have come to New York City in the last two years, that is — it’s simply not believable to say that our crime numbers are not seeing the result of that policy.”

He added, “Well, to put this in perspective, the number of migrants who have come into New York City exceeds the number of residents of [the] council district that I represent and that [Joe Borelli (R)] represents. Each of our districts have about 170,000 people. So, we’ve already taken in more than an entire New York City Council district into our city in the last two years. It’s just simply not sustainable. And when we talk about this $5 billion number, think about what New York City can do with $5 billion. We just adopted a budget three months ago. And the biggest fight on the table was whether or not we can keep our libraries open, that’s the battle, whether or not we can afford to keep our cops on the street, to hire more cops for retiring cops, because they’re leaving the job, to hire firefighters, to hire teachers. The services that are required by the migrants who are coming to New York City are immense. They’re costing us an enormous amount of money. We just simply do not have the resources to keep on footing this bill.”

Yeger further stated, “This is a national problem. And just because a city like New York, a city like Chicago, a city like Dallas are the poster [children] and at the forefront of seeing the problem, this is an absolute national problem that is foisted upon cities like ours where people believe that they can come here, they’re going to get a room at the Roosevelt Hotel, they’re going to get a phone, and they all seem to have motorcycles and they seem to be doing just fine. And this is a policy — we do not, in the city of New York, control the borders, all we can control is what’s going to happen to people once they show up in our city.”

Dems Terrified Of GOP Plan Against Noncitizen Voting In Elections– thefederalist.com

Democrats appear to be panicking over Speaker Mike Johnson’s reported plan to link a provision requiring proof of citizenship for voter registration to a government funding bill. On Thursday, The New York Times took to distorting the facts to deflect from the very real problem of a vulnerable federal voter registration system that Democrats refuse to address.

Punchbowl News reported earlier this week that Johnson plans to introduce a continuing resolution (CR) that includes the Safeguarding American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act. This legislation would amend the 1993 National Voter Registration Act and require prospective voters to provide documentary proof of citizenship to register.

While it’s technically already illegal for noncitizens to register to vote (or vote) in federal elections, the only thing standing between them and making it onto the voter roll is a small square box on the federal registration form that requires applicants to attest to their citizenship status under penalty of perjury.

Such a move on Johnson’s part has received almost immediate pushback from Democrats. Axios reported on Wednesday that “three senior Democratic sources” say “they expect a full whip operation against the GOP spending bill,” with Democrats in battleground districts likely to “face considerable pressure from their party not to break ranks.”

President Joe Biden previously expressed opposition to the SAVE Act, claiming the “justification for this bill is based on easily disproven falsehoods.” When the House of Representatives voted on the SAVE Act in July, only five Democrats (Texas Reps. Henry Cuellar and Vicente Gonzalez Jr, North Carolina Rep. Don Davis, Maine Rep. Jared Golden, and Washington Rep. Marie Gluesenkamp Perez) voted alongside Republicans in favor of preventing noncitizens from registering to vote.

The New York Times (NYT) on Thursday began echoing the reported party line, publishing a lengthy piece of propaganda demonizing conservative efforts to prevent noncitizens from voting. The paper reported that a “surge of activity” including the SAVE Act has been “raising a range of concerns.”

“Republicans Seize on False Theories About Immigrant Voting,” the headline for the piece by the Times’ Alexandra Berzon reads (without explicit clarification that “immigrant voting” in and of itself is not necessarily the same as always-illegal noncitizen voting).

Why are Democrats and their media mouthpieces at the Times and Axios so afraid of the GOP plan to keep noncitizens from voting in American elections?

Berzon even concedes in her piece that noncitizen voting and registration does happen.

“There is no indication that noncitizens are voting in large numbers,” Berzon writes, but she acknowledges “[s]tate audits and studies from groups across the political spectrum have repeatedly found that a relatively small number of noncitizens make it onto voter rolls.” It’s a similar admission The Associated Press (AP) made weeks ago, with Ali Swenson writing that while noncitizen voting is not happening “in significant numbers…there have been cases over the years of noncitizens illegally registering and even casting ballots.”

Under the current system, dozens of noncitizens have made their way onto voter rolls — and some have even cast a vote. For example, 41 noncitizens cast a ballot in 2016 in North Carolina — as Berzon also notes — and it was revealed in 2019 that Pennsylvania found 11,198 noncitizens on its voter rolls.

“Republicans argue that even one illegal vote is too many,” Berzon says, without making a convincing argument to the contrary.

That’s why Republicans introduced the SAVE Act, which Berzon only refers to once (and not by name), noting it may be attached to the CR. But her accusations that Republican attempts to keep noncitizens from voting in U.S. elections amount to “echoes of Jim Crow-era practices” reveal how terrified the Democrat Party is of the proposal.
