SCOTUS CHIEF ACCELERATES JUDICIAL-EXECUTIVE WAR – Chief Justice John Roberts injected himself into matters not directly in front of his court in defense of a district judge being threatened with impeachment for ruling against President Trump’s deportation operation decisions. Specifically, the district court judge ruled that a planeload of Venezuelan convicted felons should be immediately returned.

Chief Roberts wrote, “For more than two centuries, it has been established that impeachment is not an appropriate response to disagreement concerning a judicial decision. The normal appellate review process exists for that purpose.”

After Roberts’ missive, Representative Brandon Gill (R-TX) introduced articles of impeachment against that same federal judge, U.S. District Court Judge James Boesberg. ISRAEL CONDUCTS SURPRISE ATTACK ON GAZA AFTER ACCUSING HAMAS OF BREAKING CEASEFIRE – The Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) conducted multiple airstrike operations targeting Gaza after previously announcing Hamas had violated the ceasefire agreement. Scores, perhaps hundreds, are reported killed, including key Hamas leaders.

Defense Minister Israel Katz wrote about the surprise assault, “This decision comes after Hamas repeatedly refused to release our hostages and rejected all proposals presented by U.S. President’s envoy, Steve Witkoff, as well as the mediators.”

SCHUMER BOW AVERTS GOVERNMENT SHUTDOWN – Chuck Schumer (D-NY), the Senate Minority leader, led 9 other Democrats to cross the aisle to help a Trump-endorsed funding bill pass the Senate. The bill passed 54-46 and was later signed by President Trump. It increases defense spending by $6 billion while cutting non-defense spending by $13 billion.

The decision by Schumer to avoid the government shutdown over opposing Trump has led Democrats to call for his removal as minority leader. The key takeaway from the passage was an observation by some Democrats that the Republicans just followed their playbook. They froze the opposition out of negotiations and whipped the party to barely pass the bill, putting extreme pressure on the Senate to pass it lest they be the ones to be blames for the government being shut down.

The fact that another continuing resolution, rather than a fiscal year budget, once again kept the government, has some republicans questioning the leadership of House Speaker Mike Johnson (R-AR).

GERMANY’S HISTORIC DEFENSE BUDGET LEAVES $3 BILLION FOR UKRAINE – Chancellor-in-waiting Friedrich Merz has scored a huge victory in the form of an historic defense and infrastructure budget deal which happened only after a deal was struck with his future dance partner in power, the Green Party.

The budget, which is now expected to pass after the barrier to its passage was removed, will include $1 trillion for defense and infrastructure, including $3 billion in aid to Ukraine. CONNECTICUT BILL WOULD BANKRUPT GUN MANUFACTURERS, AND THAT’S THE INTENT – Connecticut’s House Bill 7042 would effectively allow victims of gun violence to sue the gun industry, from seller to manufacturer, for violence committed by a gun they helped bring to market in any way, shape, or form.

The draconian law, which, on its face, is an overt violation of the spirit of the second amendment, would not only destroy the gun industry, but it would also destroy any industry that produces any product or service that can be used malevolently by one of their customers. The bill is expected to pass.

TORNADOS STRIKE U.S. MIDWEST AND SOUTH, KILLING SCORES – Tornadoes struck in both the U.S. Midwest and South, with the bulk of those striking the state of Missouri. So far, 42 people have been confirmed dead, with fatalities recorded in Missouri, Texas, Kansas, Oklahoma, Arkansas, Alabama, and Mississippi.

The weather conditions also led to numerous wildfires, with the worst happening in Oklahoma. More than 320,000 people were without power at one point, with 57,000 included in PA. The Governor of Missouri, Mike Kehoe (R) said “… the scale of devastation across our state is staggering. Hundreds of homes, schools, and businesses have been either destroyed or severely damaged.”

During the Covid-19 Pandemic, any information that went against the official narrative was deemed “anti-science” and “misinformation.” Now, many of the justifications for the official narrative, scientific papers, are now being retracted.

Retraction Watch reports 505 studies on Covid-19 have been retracted as of February 17, 2025. Retraction Watch Co-Founder Ivan Oransky told The College Fix, “Why do they feel the need to rush papers through? Well, it’s because that’s how they get or keep their jobs, that’s how they get grants, everything is based on that. When you know that your whole career depends on publishing papers in particular journals, you’re going to do what you have to do to publish those papers. Most of the time that means you work hard, you hire the smart grad students and postdocs.”

(LifeSiteNews) — Contrary to years of insistence that dissent from the medical establishment’s pandemic advice was “anti-science,” no less than 500 studies and articles related to COVID-19 have been retracted for various defects of accuracy and objectivity, according to junk-science watchdog website Retraction Watch.

As of February 17, Retraction Watch’s ongoing “Retracted coronavirus (COVID-19) papers” database lists 505 studies that have been retracted, plus 19 amended to include “expressions of concern” about their findings. The subjects of the papers (including essays, studies, and clinical trials) ranged from diagnosing COVID cases, hospital treatment, and vaccine effects to therapeutics, masking, social distancing, lockdowns, and more.

“Why do they feel the need to rush papers through? Further, the biggest problem “is when papers aren’t retracted,” he said. “The problem is when papers sit in the literature, people know there’s a problem, but everybody refuses to do anything about them.”

WASHINGTON, D.C. (LifeSiteNews) — The U.S. Army has indicated that President Donald Trump’s executive order banning gender-confused individuals from entering the military has gone into effect and that the “transitioning” of military members has been halted.  

“The U.S. Army will no longer allow [professed] transgender individuals to join the military and will stop performing or facilitating procedures associated with gender transition for service members,” stated a Valentine’s Day post by the U.S. Army on X.   

“Effective immediately, all new accessions for individuals with a history of gender dysphoria are paused, and all unscheduled, scheduled, or planned medical procedures associated with affirming or facilitating a gender transition for Service members are paused,” read a subsequent post, adding, “Individuals with gender dysphoria have volunteered to serve our country and will be treated with dignity and respect.” 

The posts by the Army closely echo a memo by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, circulated on February 7. 

“Effective immediately, all new accessions for individuals with a history of gender dysphoria are paused,” wrote Hegseth. “All unscheduled, scheduled, or planned medical procedures associated with affirming or facilitating a gender transition for Service members are paused.” 

While pro-transgender activists claim there are currently 15,000 military members who claim that they are “transgender” – out of a total 1.3 million active duty personnel – officials say that the actual number is a fraction of that.  

During his inauguration speech, President Trump promised that the federal government would only acknowledge two sexes – male and female – while vowing to “defeat the toxic poison of gender ideology.”  

Trump then signed an executive order on Day One of his presidency, rescinding a Biden administration executive order that had allowed gender-confused people to join the military. 

As reported earlier by LifeSiteNews, the Biden order made it “the policy of the United States to ensure that all [so-called] transgender individuals who wish to serve in the United States military and can meet the appropriate standards shall be able to do so openly” and without alleged “discrimination.” 

The Biden order revoked President Trump’s first-term decision to prohibit gender-confused individuals from enlisting in the military. 

As commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, on January 27, Trump ordered the Pentagon to craft a policy to ensure the readiness and effectiveness of the Armed Forces, which included addressing the issue of gender-confused individuals in the military.  

“The United States military has a clear mission: to protect the American people and our homeland as the world’s most lethal and effective fighting force,” wrote Trump. “Success in this existential mission requires a singular focus on developing the requisite warrior ethos, and the pursuit of military excellence cannot be diluted to accommodate political agendas or other ideologies harmful to unit cohesion.” 

“Recently, however, the Armed Forces have been afflicted with radical gender ideology to appease activists unconcerned with the requirements of military service like physical and mental health, selflessness, and unit cohesion,” he explained. It is the longstanding policy of the Department of Defense (DoD) “to ensure that service members are ‘[f]ree of medical conditions or physical defects that may reasonably be expected to require excessive time lost from duty for necessary treatment or hospitalization.’”   

As a result, many mental and physical health conditions are incompatible with active duty, from conditions that require substantial medication or medical treatment to bipolar and related disorders, eating disorders, suicidality, and prior psychiatric hospitalization. 

Consistent with the military mission and longstanding DoD policy, expressing a false “gender identity” divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service.  Beyond the hormonal and surgical medical interventions involved, adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life.  A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member.  

For the sake of our Nation and the patriotic Americans who volunteer to serve it, military service must be reserved for those mentally and physically fit for duty.  The Armed Forces must adhere to high mental and physical health standards to ensure our military can deploy, fight, and win, including in austere conditions and without the benefit of routine medical treatment or special provisions. 

“If you want to have a ‘sex change’ or a social justice seminar, then you can do it somewhere else, but you’re not going to do it in the Army, Navy, Coast Guard, Air Force, Space Force, or the United States Marines — sorry,” warned then-candidate Trump at a campaign rally in North Carolina in August.
