Pro-CCP sites like “Bastille Post Global” are producing a narrative around the recent U.S.-China tariff deal that suggests world leaders should reconsider moving too fast to concede to Trump’s demands on tariffs given China’s “success” in bringing Trump’s initial tariffs to heel with counter-tariffs of their own.

Anonymous analyst “Deep Throat” writes: “The initial breakthrough in US–China trade negotiations has set a precedent, with China’s unwavering stance in the face of Trump’s so-called ‘reciprocal tariffs’ policy serving as a model for other countries in their own tariff talks with the US. China had refused to yield throughout the process and maintained a ‘not backing down’ posture.”

Watch for China’s continued pressure to create a world coalition response to Trump’s tariff actions. It remains to be seen if China’s spin on this deal will look like anything more than bluster. China initially claimed it would not negotiate at all with Trump and would not lower any of its pre-Trump tariff levels, yet ended up doing both in this same deal its trying to spin as a defeat for Trump.

The tables can be turned on China, as other nations might look at what the U.S. has done to bring China to heel, at least in part, and choose to do the same. If Trump were wise, he would be pushing for an anti-China-tariff response from the many nations currently being hammered by Xi’s policies.

Starmer Makes First Move to Undo Brexit

The Anti-British PM of Britian, Kier Starmer, announced a new “trade deal” with the EU that essentially reintegrates Britain back into the EU orbit. The new deal sees Britian surrender, once again, its sovereignty to the EU bureaucracy. This is in open defiance of the democratically passed referendum called Brexit, the British Exit from the European Union.

They claim negotiations went “down to the wire” with a breakthrough less than 12 hours from the deadline. A symbolic central plank of the new deal is the surrendering of British fishing waters to EU boats, a key motivation for many British voters to vote yes to Brexit. The move is seen by the waning British population as another overt act of treason against Britain by its own self-hating PM.

It appears the predictability of the DNC Criminal Media allowed the Trump administration opportunity to set the trap the South African President and his Progressive media allows walked right into.

Former FBI director James Comey says that he’s still a bit bewildered over how a seemingly innocent Instagram shot of shells arranged in the sand led to allegations by Donald Trump among others that he was calling for the president’s assassination and to an interview with the Secret Service.

“It’s been a bit of a distraction, honestly,” Comey said with a weary laugh Monday night during an appearance at a Barnes & Noble on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Comey was promoting “FDR Drive,” a crime novel coming out this week. One of the book’s themes, ironically, is weighing the potential of speech to incite others to violence.

Comey, whom Trump fired in 2017 amid an FBI investigation into potential ties between Russia and Trump’s first presidential campaign, explained Monday that he and his wife, Patrice, had been returning from a walk on the beach last Thursday when they came upon some shells organized in a way that resembled numbers, including “86.”

They speculated over whether it was a home address, or a political message. His wife noted that “86” in some restaurants means they had run out of an ingredient. Comey remembered it was slang for saying something was boring and should be “ditched.”

“And she said, ‘You should take a picture of it.’ So I took a picture of it, and then we walk home and she said, ‘You should really put that on Instagram. It’s kind of a cool thing.’ I said, ‘You’re right. It’s a cool thing,’” he explained.

To many viewers, the numbers seemed to spell out 86 and 47. Merriam-Webster, the dictionary used by The Associated Press, says 86 is slang meaning “to throw out,” “to get rid of” or “to refuse service to.” It notes: “Among the most recent senses adopted is a logical extension of the previous ones, with the meaning of ’to kill.’”

This is not the first time a president has been incapacitated due to mental decline. Woodrow Wilson suffered a debilitating stroke 17 months before leaving office. In shades of Dr. Jill Biden, First Lady Edith Wilson acted as de facto president in her husband’s stead. Unlike today, however, there were far fewer press outlets in 1919, so Wilson’s condition was successfully buried by a complicit media. Old habits die hard, it seems.

The comments by Iranian Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi come after multiple rounds of talks between the two nations, including at an expert level over the details of a possible deal. However, none has been reached yet and American officials including President Donald Trump, Mideast envoy Steve Witkoff and Secretary of State Marco Rubio maintain that Iran must give up enrichment — something it didn’t do in its 2015 nuclear deal with world powers.

“We have never abandoned diplomacy. We will always be present at the negotiating table, and the main reason for our presence is to defend the rights of the Iranian people,” Araghchi said. “We stand against excessive demands and rhetoric at the table.”

Araghchi’s remarks came a day after Iran’s supreme leader, Ayatollah Ali Khamenei, said he didn’t expecting the negotiations to produce a deal.

“I don’t think nuclear talks with the U.S. will bring results. I don’t know,” Khamenei said.

The talks seek to limit Iran’s nuclear program in exchange for the lifting of some of the crushing economic sanctions the U.S. has imposed on the Islamic Republic, closing in on half a century of enmity.

Trump has repeatedly threatened to unleash airstrikes targeting Iran’s program if a deal isn’t reached. Iranian officials increasingly warn that they could pursue a nuclear weapon with their stockpile of uranium enriched to near weapons-grade levels. Meanwhile, Israel has threatened to strike Iran’s nuclear facilities on its own if it feels threatened, further worsening tensions in the Mideast already spiked by the Israel-Hamas war in the Gaza Strip.

Iran’s 2015 nuclear deal with world powers capped Tehran’s enrichment level at 3.67% and reduced its uranium stockpile to 300 kilograms (661 pounds). That level is enough for nuclear power plants, but far below weapons-grade levels of 90%.

Since the nuclear deal collapsed in 2018 with Trump’s unilateral withdrawal of the U.S. from the accord, Iran has abandoned all limits on its program and enriched uranium to up to 60% purity — a short, technical step from weapons-grade levels. There have also been a series of attacks at sea and on land in recent years, stemming from the tensions even before the Israel-Hamas war began.

Late Monday, interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba announced assault charges against far-left Congresswoman LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) in relation to a physical confrontation outside an Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) facility.

But through Wednesday morning, ABC’s top news shows — Good Morning America and World News Tonight — had yet to cover it while their competitors on CBS and NBC ran cover for McIver standing up to illegal immigrants.

CBS had one minute and 53 seconds on its flagship shows CBS Mornings and the CBS Evening News. That number balloons to four minute and 49 seconds if the Plus editions of both shows were included.

Tuesday’s CBS Mornings opened with the chaotic scene as McIver, two other House Democrats, and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, followed by co-host Nate Burleson boasting McIver “is strongly disputing the charges.”

Despite having offered years of vociferous coverage of every nook and cranny of January 6 prosecutions, Justice correspondent Scott MacFarlane was up in arms about this prosecution (click “expand”):

We could see those charging documents as early as this morning in this case of 38-year-old Lamonica McIver, a first-term Democrat from New Jersey. The video from earlier this month outside the Delaney Immigration Facility shows the confrontation with federal agents, McIver, a couple other members of Congress, and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. The group was there for a routine inspection of the facility, but after Baraka was arrested, the scuffle ensued. McIver calls this a “purely political prosecution,” and says it was the agents who “created an unnecessary and unsafe confrontation.” The misdemeanor case against Baraka was dropped Monday by the U.S. Attorney, she said, “for the sake of moving forward,” but at the same time the U.S. Attorney announced this assault prosecution of McIver. The Department of Homeland Security argues the group stormed the gates and that no one is above the law, but Democrats are rallying behind McIver. And Gayle, they’re saying this is an attempt by the Trump administration to intimidate members of Congress.
