Legal scholar Jonathan Turley has warned that it is very unlikely that former President Joe Biden’s presidential pardons will be overturned due to an autopen signature.

It comes amid growing concerns about presidential documents being signed by White House handlers using an autopen while Biden was in a cognitively diminished state.

Autopen signatures are automatically produced by a machine, as opposed to an authentic, handwritten autograph.

The use of an autopen means documents could have been signed without Biden being present, or even aware, as his signature was applied.

The scandal has led to speculation that important documents signed with an autopen, such as Biden’s final hour pardons, could be overturned.

A shocking new report claims that the majority of documents signed by Joe Biden during his presidency were signed with an autopen apparatus, reviving concerns over whether or not Biden himself was ever truly in charge of his administration.

As reported by Fox News, the claims were made by the Oversight Project, a branch of the Heritage Foundation that specializes in scrutinizing government in the name of transparency and accountability. The report was titled “Whoever Controlled the Autopen Controlled the Presidency.”

“We gathered every document we could find with Biden’s signature over the course of his presidency,” the report stated. “All used the same autopen signature except for the announcement that the former President was dropping out of the race last year.”

The group then posted three photographic examples of the alleged automatic signatures on X, featuring two executive orders contrasted with Biden’s announcement that he was dropping out of the 2024 race. The first two signatures appeared to be the exact same despite being signed in 2022 and 2024, respectively, including a straight line followed by “R. Biden Jr.” But the signature on his withdrawal announcement differed noticeably from the other two in its overall appearance, being visibly less legible.
