
As Lebanon-based and Iran-funded Hezbollah continues to expand its operations against the Israeli north, Prim Minister Benjamin Netanyahu appears ready to pivot from Gaza to Lebanon as he recently announced the war in Gaza is wrapping up just in time for the war against Hezbollah in Lebanon.
Netanyahu said that the current phase of the war in Gaza “is about to end” but “that doesn’t mean the war is about to end.” His comments follow accusations directed at Biden that the administration is still withholding military aid voted on by congress and promised by this same administration.

The Israeli leader said in a lengthy TV interview that while the army is close to completing its current ground offensive in the southern Gaza city of Rafah, that would not mean the war against Hamas is over. But he said fewer troops would be needed in Gaza, freeing up forces to battle Hezbollah.
