It’s been a long week for the gerrymandering Democrats.

On Monday, attorneys representing Virginia Democrats’ absurdly gerrymandered rewrite of the commonwealth’s congressional maps faced some pointed questions from a skeptical-sounding Virginia Supreme Court.

On Tuesday, the high court denied a motion brought by Virginia Attorney General Jay “Two Bullets” Jones to appeal Tazewell County Circuit Court Judge Jack “Chip” Hurley Jr.’s immediate ruling declaring unconstitutional last week’s referendum to change Virginia’s constitution. Voters narrowly approved a ballot question seeking to “temporarily” rip out a 2020 amendment that put political map-making in the hands of an independent commission — an inconvenient impediment to Democrats’ drive to change the current congressional maps to grab four more seats in Congress in the midterms. If all goes as the Dems planned, the new maps would give them a 10-1 advantage in Virginia’s congressional delegation.

Also on Tuesday, a three-judge panel dismissed a leftist lawfare group’s “novel” lawsuit seeking to rewrite Wisconsin’s congressional maps further to the Democratic Party’s advantage. The ruling marked the second rejection of the Democrats’ efforts to nix congressional maps drawn by the Red China-sounding People’s Maps Commission, handpicked by far-left Gov. Tony Evers. They have hopes a liberal-led Wisconsin Supreme Court will come to their rescue.

The Trump administration has removed the entire board of independent overseers for the National Science Foundation (NSF), CBS News reports. The decision, announced Friday, eliminated all 22 members of the board, which had planned to meet next week.

“I wasn’t entirely surprised, to be honest,” said one dismissed board member in an email.

Another dismissed board member noted the vast changes the Trump administration hopes to accomplish regarding the move.

“I think this is one more indication of the sweeping changes that the administration has in mind for the NSF.”

The board members were released via an email from the Presidential Personnel Office which noted that “on behalf of President Donald J. Trump,” their positions were to be terminated, “effective immediately.”

“The First Amendment does not protect vandalism, criminal trespass, or obstruction of law enforcement,” wrote Judge Kenneth Lee in the court’s decision.

The US Ninth Circuit Court of Appeals has ruled against a group of anti-ICE protesters, blocking a lower court judge’s order that barred federal officers from using less-lethal munitions to disperse unruly crowds at the US Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) facility in Portland, Oregon. The facility has been the site of ongoing violent demonstrations since June 2025.

The 2-1 panel decision, issued on Monday by judges Kenneth Lee, Eric Tung, and Ana de Alba, the last of whom dissented, states that protesters failed to show that federal officers deployed crowd-control munitions as a means of retaliation, rejecting the plaintiffs’ arguments that their First Amendment rights were violated. The decision is a permanent administrative stay granted to the Department of Justice (DOJ) pending further appeal proceedings, in which the panel ruled that the Trump administration is “likely to succeed on the merits” of the case.

Public School Teachers Unions have contributed more than $1 billion to progressive organizations, causes, and candidacies in the last 10 years alone. The two heaviest hitters are the American Federation of Teachers (AFT) and the National Education Association (NEA), who combined to account for $669 million alone. This means progressives could count on teachers’ unions to give them $100 million a year for the last 10 years.

Representative Chip Roy (R-TX) is still trying to kill what is being called the Biden Vehicle Kill Switch. This is a requirement by the government that all car manufacturers create a vehicle kill switch that car owners cannot deactivate. So far, he has failed. This latest effort has also failed, with the Johnson-led House passing FISA renewal ahead of Thursday’s deadline.

Roy proposed an amendment to the FISA renewal act that effectively kills the Biden kill switch. Roy said, “Republicans should not be continuing a blatantly invasive Biden-era policy that enables round-the-clock monitoring of Americans in their own cars. That’s why I introduced an amendment to FISA to eliminate the ‘kill switch’ and stop this Big Brother technology from being built into new vehicles.”

The vehicle kill switch may be getting another chance to be killed in Congress this week as a member of the House Rules Committee wants to repeal legislation that directs automakers to install surveillance technology on all new vehicles starting in 2027.

Rep. Chip Roy, R-Texas, a committee member and influential congressman on the conservative House Freedom Caucus, says the Biden-era mandate poses “a direct threat to our Fourth Amendment rights.”

“Republicans should not be continuing a blatantly invasive Biden-era policy that enables round-the-clock monitoring of Americans in their own cars,” Roy told The Daily Signal while the possibility of the amendment was still being discussed by the Rules Committee.

“That’s why I introduced an amendment to FISA to eliminate the ‘kill switch’ and stop this Big Brother technology from being built into new vehicles.”

This is Roy’s second attempt at killing the kill switch this year.

The need for an amendment already has large support from House conservatives, including Reps. Thomas Massie, R-Ky.; Scott Perry, R-Pa.; and Keith Self, R-Texas.

“The government should never have the ability to remotely kill your car or anything else you own,” Self told The Daily Signal. “When a group of us conservatives in the House tried to repeal this Joe Biden-era mandate set to take effect next year, 57 Republicans teamed up with 211 Democrats to stop us. That’s unacceptable.”

A powerful surveillance authority that the U.S. government uses to spy on foreigners cleared the House on Wednesday, resolving one stalemate that threatened to derail its renewal before it expires this week.

It now faces hurdles in the Senate.

The controversial spy tool, known as Section 702 of the Foreign Intelligence Surveillance Act, is set to lapse Thursday. Congress approved a 10-day extension ahead of the original April 20 deadline.

After House GOP opposition forced days of delay, the lower chamber advanced the measure earlier Wednesday in a procedural vote that was held open for about two hours as leaders worked to convince holdouts to flip their votes.

The House passed the measure — which is formatted as an amendment to an unrelated bill — in a 235 to 191 vote later in the day.

Section 702, which was first authorized in 2008, allows the government to collect the communications of noncitizens located outside the U.S. without a warrant, though it can also sweep up the data of Americans who are in contact with the targeted foreigners. The FBI is able to search Americans’ data gathered through the program without a warrant.

National security officials have long argued that the law is vital for disrupting terrorist plots, foreign espionage, international drug trafficking and cyber intrusions.

This is not about one law in one country. It is about a global redefinition of “harm” that criminalizes the very act of holding traditional religious beliefs. Räsänen’s case reveals the new logic: Offense is violence. Disagreement is hate. And the state now decides which doctrines are permissible and which are punishable.

President Trump says Iran is “in a State of Collapse” and wants the Strait of Hormuz opened “as soon as possible” while talks continue.

That is the pressure point right now: Tehran wants relief, global energy markets want the waterway open, and the U.S. blockade is still being used as leverage.

Fox News highlighted Trump’s latest comments Tuesday afternoon:

Axios put Trump’s Tuesday claim in the larger negotiating picture:

Trump said Iran had told the United States it wanted the Strait of Hormuz opened quickly while it worked through a leadership crisis. The key caveat is that Tehran has not publicly confirmed Trump’s version of the message, so the claim still sits inside a live diplomatic standoff rather than a settled public agreement.

President Trump has rejected the latest proposal by Iran to continue the ceasefire, which seems to be de facto over. The Supreme Leader has allegedly emerged and promised to free the Strait of Hormuz from U.S. presence. The progressive media is casting doubts on U.S. power while Trump’s base buckles in its support for the war.

The alleged, but missing, “supreme leader” of Iran Mojtaba Khamenei reportedly issued a written message on Thursday declaring that his country will impose a “new legal framework and management system for the Strait of Hormuz” that will result in a future “free of America” in the waterway.

Khamenei’s message declared the Strait, in which Iran has for over a month attempted to endanger commercial traffic, a “divine blessing” for his nation that the Islamist terror regime takes seriously. His statement, issued on the occasion of Iran’s “National Persian Gulf Day,” also contained a commitment to continue the regime’s illicit nuclear development — the main issue that the administration of President Donald Trump is seeking to settle with Iran.

The message follows weeks of attempts to end hostilities between Iran and America that began on February 28, when the Pentagon launched Operation Epic Fury and killed Khamenei’s father, longtime brutal dictator Ali Khamenei. President Trump announced a ceasefire this month that was initially intended to last two weeks, but has since been extended indefinitely. In public statements on his website, Truth Social, President Trump has explained that the extension was necessary given the large number of senior leaders in the Iranian regime that have been killed, resulting in unclear leadership and an intense power struggle within the terror state’s government apparatus. Iranian officials have attempted to deny the discord among their ranks but also have not at press time been able to organize a coherent response to the White House’s attempts to construct a long-lasting peace agreement.

There were three big wins this month for the Republicans in the Gerrymandering Wars that culminated with a major SCOTUS ruling on race-based gerrymandering.

First, the Virginia Supreme Court continues to refuse to certify the special election that saw the Progressives win the “right” to use gerrymandering to eliminate 4 GOP U.S. House Seats.

Second, SCOTUS has confirmed the Texas gerrymander map that switches 5 Democrat-held seats to 5 likely GOP seats. In Florida, a gerrymander plan is advancing in the legislature that would net the GOP 4 more seats in the U.S. House.

Third, SCOTUS has struck down race-based gerrymandered districts in a move that is existentially threatening to the Democrat Party in its current iteration.

The Supreme Court reinstated Texas’s redrawn congressional map Monday, resulting in a huge win for Republicans, which could help them keep control of Congress.

The map was originally redrawn in August 2025 at the behest of President Donald Trump to add up to five additional House seats for the GOP as they head into a critical midterm election cycle this November.

It was instantly met with legal challenges, with a lower court issuing an injunction blocking the new map.

In December, the Supreme Court stepped in and issued a stay, keeping the map in place until a final ruling could be issued.

The justices initially faulted the lower court for committing “serious errors,” the main one being that it “failed to honor the presumption of legislative good faith by constructing ambiguous direct and circumstantial evidence against the legislature.”

Monday’s 6-3 vote reversing the lower court ruling fell along ideological lines, with the conservative justices ruling in the state’s favor, and the three liberal justices dissenting, according to Reuters.

For those familiar with the Old Testament narrative surrounding the ancient city of Sodom, a recent announcement from the Israeli government might sound like evidence that history is repeating itself.

Near the site many believe to be where that city was destroyed by God, largely due to the sexual immorality of its citizens, there will soon be a four-day LGBT “pride” event that the Israeli government noted would even include “children’s activities.”

TheBlaze provided this report:

The promotion of the event by the Israeli government — just one day after the Israel Defense Forces confirmed that one of its soldiers smashed a statue of the crucified Christ outside a church with a sledgehammer — prompted significant backlash among some conservative Christians.

American theologian and pastor Dale Partridge tweeted, “The devil couldn’t have written it better. ‘The lowest place on earth’ ‘The Dead Sea becomes pride land.’”

BlazeTV host Auron MacIntyre raised the matter of whether his tax dollars might be subsidizing the event, then asked, “Can anyone very carefully explain to me why American Christians owe anything to this?”

Conservative commentator Michael Knowles insinuated that the Israeli government’s announcement answered the question recently posed by the New York Times about the cause of the recent increase in meteor sightings overhead.

Knowles’ colleague, Matt Walsh, called the planned festival “absolutely evil and disgusting.”

Pressure mounts on the disgraced chief prosecutor of the International Criminal Court (ICC), Karim Khan, who was forced to “step aside” from his position in May 2025 after serious sexual assault allegations. Newly revealed witness testimony states that Qatar promised to “look after” him if he continued the witch hunt against Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, The Wall Street Journal reported Monday

Following a May 2024 request by Khan, the Hague-based ICC issued arrest warrants for Prime Minister Netanyahu and former Israeli Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for the crime of overseeing a military operation to free 240 hostages from Hamas’ captivity in the aftermath of the October 7 massacre. A new Issues & Insights (I&I)/TIPP poll is showing increasing disunity, especially among — you guessed it — the left.

Each month, the national online I&I/TIPP Poll asks Americans across the nation whether they would say the U.S. is “very united,” “somewhat united,” “somewhat divided,” “very divided,” or simply “not sure.”

From this, I&I/TIPP creates a national Unity Index, which allows for comparisons over time.

What is it saying? Well, for one, Americans over the past five years or so have never been unified, even though there have been times the Unity Index has trended up.

Indeed, the Unity Index has never breached the neutral 50 level in the past half-decade. In August of last year, not too long after Donald Trump took office, it briefly touched 40.8, its all-time high. But since then, it has dropped back to April’s current reading of 32.1.

While that might seem dramatic, it’s in fact in keeping with the long-trend range for the index, as the chart below shows.

The administration urged the House of Representatives to move quickly on a budget resolution already approved by the Senate, describing the situation as increasingly urgent.

The warning comes as the House faces internal divisions that have slowed progress on legislation aimed at restoring full funding to the department. Charles will address Congress later Tuesday. Scroll to the bottom of the story for a slideshow from the event.

Thank you very much, everybody. What a beautiful British day this is, and it really is.

Your Majesties, members of the British delegation, friends, service members, and distinguished guests, welcome to the beautiful White House. Great honor to have you. Melania and I will never forget the spectacular honor Your Majesties showed us during our extraordinary visit to Windsor Castle last September. Now it is our tremendous privilege to host you, and you’re going to have a wonderful short stay, but stay nevertheless. Then you’re going over to Congress, and you’re going to make a speech that’s going to make everybody very envious of that beautiful accent of yours. Very elegant. He’s a very elegant man.

Here in the shadows of monuments to George Washington, Thomas Jefferson, honoring the British king might seem an ironic beginning to our celebration of 250 years of American independence, but in fact, no tribute could be more appropriate.

Long before Americans had a nation or a constitution, we first had a culture, a character, and a creed. Before we ever proclaimed our independence, Americans carried within us the rarest of gifts: moral courage, and it came from a small but mighty kingdom from across the sea. For nearly two centuries before the revolution, this land was settled and forged by men, women who bore in their souls the blood and noble spirit of the British. Here on a wild and untamed continent, they set loose the ancient English love of liberty and Great Britain’s distinctive sense of glory, destiny, and pride, and that’s what it is: glory, destiny, and pride.

The American patriots who pledged their lives to independence in 1776 were the heirs to this majestic inheritance. Their veins ran with Anglo-Saxon courage. Their hearts beat with an English faith in standing firm for what is right, good, and true.

In recent years, we’ve often heard it said that America is merely an idea, but the cause of freedom did not simply appear as an intellectual invention of 1776. The American founding was the culmination of hundreds of years of thought, struggle, sweat, blood, and sacrifice on both sides of the Atlantic.

Fate drew a long arc from the meadow at Runnymede to the streets of Philadelphia that ran through the lives of people born and bred on the British code that no man should be denied either justice or right. American patriots today can sing, “My country ’tis of thee / Sweet land of liberty,” only because our colonial ancestors first sang “God save the King.”

We see today a living symbol of this centuries-old bond just a few dozen feet to the left where I stand — there her Late Majesty, Queen Elizabeth, an incredible woman who I had the privilege of getting to know. Queen Elizabeth II, a very, very special woman who is very greatly missed on both sides of that mighty Atlantic, long ago, planted a young tree. It was a very young and beautiful tree, and look at it now. It’s tripled in size and tripled in strength, very much as our nations have, even more than tripled. Like our nation itself, it was laid with British hands, but grew in American soil. Today it stands tall and proud, reaching ever higher, and this morning, it reminds us that the mightiest of trees, like the greatest of nations, must be anchored by the strongest and deepest of roots.

In the centuries since we won our independence, Americans have had no closer friends than the British. We share that same root, we speak the same language, we hold the same values, and together, our warriors have defended the same extraordinary civilization under twin banners of red, white, and blue.

My wonderful mother, Mary McLeod. Mary McLeod was born in Stornoway, Scotland, the Hebrides, and that’s what they call very serious Scotland. There’s no question about it. Some places, they say, ‘Well, it wasn’t really Scotland.’ The Hebrides, that’s real serious Scotland. That’s where they had their greatest of warriors, their greatest of warriors. She came to America at 19, met my incredible father. We loved him so much. We all loved him. We loved her, we loved him, Fred, and they were married for 63 years. And excuse me, if you don’t mind, that’s a record we won’t be able to match, darling. Sorry, just not going to work out that way. We’ll do well, but we’re not going to do that well. Sixty-three years and my mother, I just see it so clearly. She loved, I told the king that she loved the royal family, and she loved the queen. And any time the queen was involved at a ceremony or anything, my mother would be glued to the television, and she’d say, “Look, Donald, look how beautiful that is.” She really did love the family, but I also remember her saying, very clearly, “Charles, look, young Charles. He’s so cute.” My mother had a crush on Charles. Can you believe it? Amazing. How I wonder what she’s thinking right now?

But beneath those beautiful flags, eight decades ago, Prime Minister Winston Churchill and President Franklin Roosevelt famously met on a ship in the North Atlantic to outline a vision for the free world after World War II. That understanding of our nation’s unique bond and role in history is the essence of our special relationship, and we hope it will always remain that way. The ship where the two great leaders met was called the Prince of Wales, the very title that His Majesty the King held longer than any other individual in British history, and he held it with great pride and respect.

It said that when Prime Minister Churchill first met this future king, many decades ago, he was so impressed. He made the statement, “He is so young to think so much and so well,” and the bust of your great prime minister rests proudly again in the Oval Office. Very proud to bring it back. We brought it back.

Throughout His Majesty’s life, the world has witnessed that same thoughtfulness which first struck Britain’s greatest prime minister. His Majesty’s intellect, passion, and devotion have been long, really a long blessing, a blessing to the British people, but not only to his own country, but to the cherished bond between the United States and the United Kingdom. And I am very certain that it will continue that way long into the future.

In a few hours, His Majesty will stand in the heart of the United States Capitol as the very first British king ever to address a joint session of the United States Congress. So he’s going to be addressing Congress, and I’m going to be watching. I was thinking of going, but they said, ‘I don’t know, that might be a step too far.’ I would love to go. It’s not supposed to be protocol, but I would love to be with you.

But there, the direct descendant of King George III will speak to the direct successor of the very body that gathered in Independence Hall on July 4, 1776. If John Adams and George Washington or the king’s fifth-great-grandfather could see that sight, they might be absolutely shocked, but probably only for a moment. Surely they would be delighted that the wounds of war healed into the most cherished friendship. Think of that, very, very long ago, difficult war, and yet those wounds did indeed heal into the most cherished of friendships, most cherished. They would be moved beyond words to know that the soldiers who once called each other redcoats and Yankees became the Tommies and the GIs who together saved the free world as brothers in arms and brothers in eternity, and nobody fought better together than us.

If they could see us today, our ancestors would surely be filled with awe and pride that the Anglo-American revolution in human freedom was never, ever extinguished, but carried forward across centuries, across oceans, and across history, until it became a fire that lit the entire world.

So today, we look back on 250 years. Let us remember what has made our countries the two most exceptional nations the world has ever known, and together, let us go forward with even stronger resolve to carry on our sacred devotion to liberty and to the traditions of excellence that have been our shared gift of all mankind.

Your Majesties, thank you once again for making this important visit. We are so honored.

May God forever bless the United Kingdom, Great Britain, and Northern Ireland, and may God bless the United States of America. Thank you very much, everybody, thank you.

But then I saw something where the Trump administration sort of pulled a thread from that situation, and it’s at least indirectly tied to another situation—and now the whole thing is unraveling.

Ever since President Donald Trump returned to the White House in January 2025, he and his administration have not wasted a minute trying to implement an agenda that is even larger and more ambitious than the one he laid out on the campaign trail in 2024. Most politicians over-promise and under-deliver. Trump has done the opposite.

The latest example of this comes to us courtesy of the Federal Communications Commission (FCC), which announced on April 28 that it is moving up its review of the ABC network’s eight local broadcasting licenses over the network’s diversity, equity, and inclusion (DEI) practices.

Federal authorities raided over 20 locations across Minnesota, in connection with an ongoing investigation into massive public assistance fraud. The story should have run across all three major broadcast network evening newscasts but only made it to air on one. The Elitist Media does not like this story.

Watch the report in its entirety, as aired on NBC Nightly News on Tuesday, April 28th, 2026:

TOM LLAMAS: In Minnesota tonight, federal and state agents executing more than 20 search warrants at businesses across the Twin Cities, raids linked to a growing fraud scandal that has reached the steps of The White House. Maggie Vespa has been following this one for us and has this story.

MAGGIE VESPA: Tonight, new raids rocking Minnesota, with video showing federal and state authorities executing more than 20 search warrants at sites across the Twin Cities, including autism centers, child care facilities and at least one senior center. All, federal authorities say, tied to allegations of widespread welfare fraud within Minnesota’s large Somali community.

NICK SHIRLEY: It’s just a simple question: where are the children at?

VESPA: Allegations reignited by this viral video posted four months ago by a right-wing influencer claiming multiple Somali-run child care centers in Minnesota were fraudulently collecting state subsidies while sitting empty. But according to the state agency in charge, those centers were operating “as expected.” Today’s raids marking the boldest move yet by a White House fraud task force led by Vice President Vance.

Two days after the White House Correspondents Dinner shooting and people are stumbling all over each other to congratulate the Secret Service over its outstanding performance.

Yesterday we received here at AT an email from the Federal Law Enforcement Officers Association with congrats for:

the extraordinary actions of the United States Secret Service and partnering federal, state, and local law enforcement agencies…

During the high-profile event at the Washington Hilton, an armed suspect allegedly forced his way toward a secured area and opened fire, prompting an immediate response from law enforcement personnel on scene. Within seconds, Secret Service agents and other officers engaged the suspect, returned fire, and subdued him before he could reach the main ballroom where the President, senior administration officials, and hundreds of attendees were gathered.

That sentiment was echoed by none other than Barack Obama: “It’s also a sobering reminder of the courage and sacrifice that U.S. Secret Service Agents show every day. I’m grateful to them.”

Also heard from was Little Timmy Walz, enforcer for the Somalian benefits theft cartel in Minnesota: “I’m grateful for the swift response from law enforcement at White House Correspondents’ dinner.”

The man accused of opening fire during the White House Correspondents’ Dinner is now facing a sweeping set of federal charges, including an alleged attempt to assassinate President Donald Trump, as officials laid out new details Monday about the lead-up to the attack.

Cole Allen appeared in federal court in Washington for the first time but did not enter a plea. Prosecutors say he is also facing two additional firearms-related charges.

Acting Attorney General Todd Blanche stood alongside FBI Director Kash Patel and U.S. Attorney for Washington, D.C., Jeanine Pirro to announce the charges, underscoring the severity of what authorities say was a direct threat against the president and top officials.

According to an FBI affidavit, Allen traveled cross-country by train from Los Angeles to Washington in the days leading up to the event. He checked into the Washington Hilton one day before the dinner, where thousands of journalists, lawmakers and high-profile guests were set to gather.

As of April 20, the DHS reported that 830 TSA officers had quit due to the lapse in funding, according to Politico. In the last eight days, another 300 handed in their notices.

The latest figure is roughly the same number of TSA employees who departed the agency during the historic 43-day government shutdown last fall.

With the current shutdown, airport security is especially taking a toll and could have a serious impact on air travel as the nation hosts the FIFA World Cup and the semiquincentennial this summer.

Last month, President Donald Trump signed an executive order to pay TSA employees until a funding deal comes to fruition. However, the money could run dry if the shutdown lasts much longer.

Over 70 percent of sections for required honors course push ideological content

Arizona’s public universities require their honors students to complete coursework promoting a “diversity, equity, and inclusion” agenda, alongside anti-capitalist and anti-Israel themes, a recent report from a conservative think tank revealed.

Arizona State University’s Barrett, The Honors College, requires honors students to engage with mandatory readings that include discussions of sexually explicit LGBTQ content and explore racially and sexually charged questions, according to the Goldwater Institute’s report called “Desert Brain Drain.”

For example, one instructor requires students to discuss the “relationship between the white female gaze and the eroticized black male body.”

Another professor provides students with “a one-sided view of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict, assigning readings that are exclusively critical of Israel and Zionism,” the report states.

“Over 70% of all Barrett course sections for the mandatory ‘The Human Event’ (HON 272) reviewed by Goldwater” push this ideological content, it states.

Four hundred years ago this year, Spanish conquistador Francisco Pizarro and 160 men departed the small Spanish community of Panama in search of a great and wealthy empire they had heard existed to the south. Although that particular expedition to Peru was largely a failure, Pizarro’s steadfast bravery alongside the so-called Los trece de la fama (the “famous 13”) was enough to gain royal support and inspire enough Spaniards to fund another voyage to Peru a few years later. Pizarro and a few hundred men would conquer the mighty Inca.

Without a doubt, Spanish conquistadors such as Pizarro’s army (and their successors in the ensuing centuries) created an impressive empire, one that eventually traversed thousands of miles from California to Tierra del Fuego, incorporating millions of people. Yet, compared to that of their British rivals to the north, it was a markedly different animal, one whose instabilities, dysfunction, and corruption eventually spelled its doom.

As Americans celebrate our own 250th anniversary, it’s worth contemplating with gratitude what differentiates the “American experiment” from what transpired to our south.
