Not long after Lindsey Graham had spoken to President Trump, he had a sudden medical emergency he would not recover from. It was later learned he had a heart attack due to a ruptured aorta. His sister, Nordone Graham, was appointed by the Republican South Carolina Governor to finish his term.

She said of her acceptance of the appointment. “It is such a privilege to get to finish some of his important work, and I promise to work hard over the next several months to support the president and carry forward the efforts of my brother on behalf of the citizens of South Carolina and the United States.” She added she was sure he would have wanted her to finish his term.

Darline Graham Nordone, Lindsey Graham’s younger sister and close confidant, will serve the remainder of the late senator’s term in Washington.

“It’s my honor to ask his little sister Darline Graham to finish his work for him now,” South Carolina Gov. Henry McMaster said Monday, formally appointing Nordone after recounting stories of Graham’s legacy.

President Donald Trump and Senate Majority Leader John Thune both publicly expressed support for McMaster choosing Nordone as a tribute to Graham.

Her appointment as an interim caretaker triggers a wide-open race ahead of the Aug. 11 primary. Several Republicans are already weighing bids to take over Graham’s place as the GOP Senate nominee.

“It is such a privilege to get to finish some of his important work, and I promise to work hard over the next several months to support the president and carry forward the efforts of my brother on behalf of the citizens of South Carolina and the United States,” Nordone said at the press conference alongside McMaster. She added that the decision is one that “Lindsey would have wanted.”

The FCC is signaling it is about to get rid of a rule that prevented one company from having more than a 39% presence in the local tv market. The rule is being nixed, in part, to make way for a deal between Tegna and Nexstar that will give Nextar 80% presence in the local tv market.

The FCC Chair, Brendan Carr, said the rule will not be completely removed, but exceptions, such as the Nextar deal, will be allowed, when it is in the “public interest” to do so. The decision is sure to be challenged in court, where opponents assert only congress can make such changes, including adding exemptions.

The chair of the Federal Communications Commission said Wednesday the agency will vote to rescind the 85-year-old rule that bars broadcasters from reaching more than ‌39% of the total number of U.S. TV households.
FCC Chair Brendan Carr confirmed Wednesday the agency will vote to lift the cap in favor of a new case-by-case approach. “Our new proposal would allow the FCC to approve deals that exceed the 39 percent cap, but only if doing so would promote the public interest,” Carr said in a essay published Wednesday.
Under current rules, stations with weaker over-the-air signals can be partially counted against a company’s ownership cap.
Critics say only Congress can lift the cap and argue it will lead to excessive concentration among station owners.
In March, the FCC approved the $3.54 billion sale of local television station owner Tegna to Nexstar (NXST.O), opens new tab despite objections from Democratic-led states.
The acquisition, if not reversed by courts, will expand Nexstar’s presence to cover 80% of U.S. TV households. ‌The FCC said it was waiving the 39% rule in approving the deal.

President Donald Trump delivered a Prime Time Speech this past Thursday night that failed to deliver rumored smoking guns but hinted at ones to come. In addition to calling for a DOJ investigation of alleged voter fraud in Michigan in 2020, the President also identified vulnerabilities in the election system that put them at risk of foreign influence, including from China. He also claims China affected the 2020 election. China has already denied the claims.

The speech’s main moment came with Trump’s claim that a set of documents “proves that for many years, Americans were blatantly lied to about the security of our election infrastructure, including electronic voting machines and ballot counting systems. They’re vulnerable, and they’re easily compromised, and people within our government knew that.”

President Donald Trump has called on the Department of Justice (DOJ) to investigate alleged voter fraud in Michigan during the 2020 election, revealing during his Thursday night address that the FBI uncovered criminal activity in a probe that was “killed” by the Biden administration.

Trump’s evening speech focused heavily on election integrity, culminating in a renewed request for Congress to finally pass the SAVE America Act. As the president delivered his remarks, the White House dropped a series of declassified documents showing that government agencies were aware of alleged attempts to influence the results of the race between Trump and former President Joe Biden.

According to Trump, that set of documents “proves that for many years, Americans were blatantly lied to about the security of our election infrastructure, including electronic voting machines and ballot counting systems.”

“They’re vulnerable, and they’re easily compromised, and people within our government knew that,” he continued, before sharing that an intelligence assessment showed that adversaries of the United States, “including at a minimum Russia, China, Iran, North Korea, as well as non-state groups,” have the capability to compromise American elections.

A portion of the declassified materials released by the White House revealed that the Michigan State Police uncovered fraudulent activity within a large-scale Democrat get-out-the-vote effort, and that the case was being investigated by the FBI. It is unclear who might have been prosecuted as a result.

“Even when significant evidence of fraud has been detected, it has been buried and covered up,” Trump said. “Among the disclosures tonight are FBI files detailing evidence of alleged fraud by a large-scale voter registration operation in Michigan. In 2020, Michigan State Police raided a Democrat get-out-the-vote organization — a corrupt group in Muskegon — and were so concerned by what they found.”

He continued, “They were just so concerned they couldn’t believe it, actually, that they contacted the FBI in Detroit.”

According to the newly released files, canvassers admitted to FBI agents that they signed voter registration forms in other people’s names, submitted fraudulent registrations for people who did not exist, and received commission based on the number of applications that they produced in the form of monetary gift cards.

“In other words, it was pay, play, and cheat,” Trump stated. “The FBI agents working on the cases believe that crimes were committed, yet the Biden Department of Justice slow-walked the investigation and killed it.”

“Tonight, I’m asking the FBI director to ensure that the matter is fully investigated, and to work with the Department of Justice to prosecute those responsible for any crimes,” the president added.

The Michigan State Police first stated that it was examining “irregularities in voter registration forms” in Muskegon in October 2020, the Detroit News reported

Michigan Democratic Party Chairman Curtis Hertel criticized Trump’s speech on social media, writing, “I liked this speech better when it was between a crematorium and an adult book store.”

He later released an official statement via the state party’s X account, calling Trump’s claims “reckless and unfounded conspiracy theories.”

“In Michigan, Republicans at every level have lined up behind Trump’s attempt to undermine our elections and disenfranchise voters,” Hertel wrote. “While Republicans attack voting rights, Michigan Democrats remain steadfast in our commitment to protecting Michigan’s elections and ensuring they remain secure, fair, and free.”

The FBI has yet to release a statement regarding Trump’s call for renewed attention on Michigan.

DNC Chair Ken Martin Made Democrat Officials Sign Non-Disclosure Agreements Before Viewing the Party’s Finances * The Gateway Pundit * by Mike LaChance www.thegatewaypundit.com

Ken Martin, the chairman of the Democratic National Committee (DNC), made Democrat officials sign non-disclosure agreements before they could view the party’s financial records at a recent meeting, according to a new report from Axios.

It has been widely reported for months that the DNC is struggling to raise money. Donors are not exactly lining up to hand over their cash to the party that blew through two billion dollars in a matter of weeks in 2024, only to come up empty handed in the end. Also, now that USAID is effectively over, there are no more dollars flowing from that source.

Still, why would Martin make party leaders sign NDAs to simply view the family check book? This raises all kinds of red flags.

From Axios:

Scoop: DNC officers asked to sign NDAs amid financial woes

The Democratic National Committee asked its leadership team to sign non-disclosure agreements before a recent meeting about the party’s finances, two people familiar with the conversations told Axios.

Why it matters: The move — a break from past practice for such officers — underscored DNC chair Ken Martin’s sensitivity about the party’s money woes and the persistent criticism about his leadership.

Driving the news: The DNC made the request ahead of a private meeting of senior officers late last month, the sources said.

The legislation, signed into law on Tuesday, is a one-year pause on permitting and construction of new “hyperscale” (larger than 50 megawatts) data centers, facilities that power large AI systems, while the state develops stricter rules on energy use, environmental impacts, local control, and rules on mitigating AI’s effect on jobs.

“These hyperscale AI data centers consume enormous amounts of power, truly threatening to outpace our grid’s capacity, and they drive up costs for local ratepayers,” Gov. Kathy Hochul said on Tuesday.

“I refuse to let those costs be passed on to New Yorkers who already pay too much for their utility bills.”

The legislation follows widespread fearmongering about AI data centers, including concerns about their water and energy usage that have been massively overblown.

For example, few people know that all current AI data centers combined use less than 0.5 percent of the United States’ freshwater for cooling. Typically, even a large data center uses less fresh water than a single square mile of farmland.

Another common concern, what I’d call a myth, is the power usage of AI data centers. While they are massive consumers of electricity, that’s simply a reason to build more power generation. And so far, data centers have failed to drive residential price increases on any scale larger than your average Democrat-driven climate policy, according to groups like the Manhattan Institute. Other critics have likened the concern about power usage to halting the construction of computers because they use electricity.

President Donald Trump told the nation from the White House Thursday that the Chinese government has interfered with American elections and gained access to “sensitive” voter data of tens of millions of Americans.

Trump also accused deep-state bad actors of “deliberately massag[ing]” his daily briefings and even of attempting to run a “shadow government” during his first term to keep the information about “China’s election meddling” from him, other lawmakers, the media, and the American public.

Trump reiterated his demand that Congress pass the SAVE America Act and accused Democrats of stalling on the bill because it would keep them from cheating in elections.

The president said evidence of his claims are available for review at the White House website.

“The documents … show that over a period of years, starting during the 2020 election cycle, the People’s Republic of China carried out what is believed to be the largest compromise of election data in history — resulting in China’s illicit acquisition of 220 million U.S. voter files,” said the president.

According to a Pew survey, 44% of American Muslims recently surveyed expressed a favorable opinion of Hamas.

The United States designated Hamas a foreign terrorist organization long before it killed 1,200 Israelis on Oct. 7, 2023, raped women, burned families alive, tortured civilians, and kidnapped children and elderly grandparents. Its leaders have repeatedly declared that Israel should cease to exist.

Yet nearly half of Muslim Americans surveyed said they view the group favorably.

Many Muslim Americans have publicly condemned terrorism while backing the rights of Palestinians. But 44% support is significant.

Imagine if a comparable percentage of any other religious or ethnic group expressed favorable views toward a different U.S.-designated terrorist organization, such as ISIS.

Justice Amy Coney Barrett — who, in a slap in the face to American-born citizens, just ruled in favor of birthright citizenship — told the House Appropriations Committee that the mounting threats against her have taken a toll on her children.

“They have required my children to think about and see things that children should not have to see or think about,” Barrett testified, sharing that her security detail gave her a bulletproof vest to wear.

When she brought it into her bedroom, her young son asked what it was.

However, BlazeTV host Steve Deace doesn’t have much sympathy for the Supreme Court justice.

Deace explains that he asked Grok how often Barrett has voted with the Democrat block of justices, to which the AI answered 50% to 75% of the time.

“So, my Grok account literally said to me, if, based on how you typically propose such questions, you need to consider that within that 75% she’s often voting on things that are obvious to the majority of the court, that are 7-2 decisions or greater,” he says.

“But, Grok said, if you’re factoring in the more contentious kinds of issues that, given what you typically ask me about, are really what you care about, it’s about 50-50,” he continues.

This means, Deace says, that “Amy Coney Barrett, on the most important things, is essentially a coin flip.”

A coalition of current and former Meta employees have sued the social media giant, alleging that the company used artificial intelligence in its latest round of layoffs in a way that was discriminatory.

In a lawsuit filed Monday, plaintiffs allege that Meta violated various protected-leave laws and discrimination acts related to pregnancies and disabilities, among others, and said they wish to pursue their claims individually in arbitration.

Attorneys representing the 26 unnamed workers said in a legal complaint filed in the United States Northern District Court of California that the plaintiffs were among the 10% of Meta’s workforce cut in the company’s May layoff round.

The plaintiffs allege that Meta’s “constellation of internal artificial-intelligence systems” failed to take approved absences into account when determining which employees to cut.

“Those tools draw on inputs—performance ratings, calibration scores, productivity and output metrics, ‘AI-native’ ratings, and AI-token consumption—that, by design, cannot be accumulated by an employee who is on protected medical or family leave, or whose output is reduced by a disability,” the lawyers wrote in the filing.

France’s National Assembly gave final approval Wednesday to a bill allowing adults with incurable illnesses to receive lethal medication, the culmination of years of debate over end-of-life care.

The lower house of parliament approved the measure in a 291-241 vote, after backing it in three previous readings, completing parliament’s work on the legislation announced by French President Emmanuel Macron more than three years ago.

According to various estimates, assisted dying is available to around 300 million people worldwide, with euthanasia legal under certain conditions in some countries and assisted suicide allowed in others and in several U.S. states. France has an increasingly aging population, with growing numbers of patients in the country who require care for chronic illnesses.

France, a traditionally Catholic nation, has grappled with legal, medical, moral and religious questions about end-of-life options, including existing legislation that allows doctors to keep terminally ill patients sedated before death, but stops short of allowing assisted suicide and euthanasia.

According to U.S. News & World Report’s most recent medical school rankings, the University of California, San Francisco (“UCSF”) is a Tier 1 medical school for both research and primary care. If that’s the case, all of us need to be afraid, because UCSF’s chancellor just revealed that he believes men can get pregnant.

When I was growing up and still living in San Francisco, I knew UCSF was a premier institution. As a child in the 1970s, we had family friends affiliated with it, and as an adult, I received medical treatment there and had close friends who were students and graduates.

Back then, it was an institution that was justly famous for the quality of its students, faculty, medical training, and medical care. It was undoubtedly one of the best of the best in America, for it was rigorously focused on scientific facts and the scientific process. While there was always a political edge to its functioning, as is the case with any major institution, it was a meritocratic medical school, research facility, and hospital.

However, by the mid-1990s, things were changing. I knew from those of my friends who worked there that a toxic, anti-male, anti-white mentality was beginning to invade the institution. Highly qualified white men were being passed over for positions there in favor of manifestly less qualified minorities and women, and it was beginning to be a hostile work environment for the men already there.

A group of leading medical professionals has provoked widespread concerns after proposing that doctors should be allowed to kill their patients in order to harvest their body parts through a process they call “death by organ donation.”

The bone-chilling call was made in a new article published in the New England Journal of Medicine.

The article, titled “Contextualizing the Dead Donor Rule in an Era of Voluntary Euthanasia,” was written by Harvard University’s Dr. Robert Truog and colleagues.

The authors argue that the medical system has already redefined death to support modern organ harvesting practices.

They now say “death by organ donation” should be viewed as the next step.

At the center of the debate is the Dead Donor Rule.

The rule is supposed to be one of the basic ethical limits protecting patients.

US Secretary of State Marco Rubio is hosting an international summit in Washington on Thursday that aims to address the threat of “far-left political terrorism”.

The administration of President Donald Trump says countries around the world have a blind spot for what US officials see as a rising wave of left-wing political violence.

Mr Trump has clamped down on left-wing groups, particularly Antifa, and has proclaimed that the decentralised anti-fascist movement is a domestic terrorist organisation. Antifa has frequently protested against his hardline immigration enforcement.

Mr Trump has also blamed left-wing extremism for the killing of conservative activist Charlie Kirk in Utah last year.

At least 65 countries have been invited to attend Thursday’s day-long event. A senior State Department official told reporters that some interior or foreign ministers would be among those attending.

The summit would help counter-terrorism officials to discuss what the Trump administration says is a growing and sophisticated global threat, the official said.

“Far-left political terrorism is resurgent, manifesting in violent terrorist acts across the Western Hemisphere, Europe, Asia and beyond,” the State Department said in a statement. “These are not isolated incidents. They reflect a deliberate, ideologically motivated strategy to destabilise free societies”.

The Chinese communist government clearly sees the first of the Ten Commandments, “Thou shalt have no other gods before me,” as a threat.

As reported Sunday in The Telegraph, Chinese authorities have intensified a nationwide campaign against independent Christian congregations, arresting thousands of worshippers and forcing many of China’s “house churches” further underground.

Police have raided churches across the country, detained pastors and lay leaders, and expanded surveillance of believers who refuse to worship in state-approved churches.

Several Chinese Christians who fled the country told The Telegraph that believers increasingly feel they are being treated as enemies of the state simply because their highest allegiance is to God rather than to the Chinese Communist Party.

One Christian told the newspaper that “there is no freedom left,” while another described living under constant surveillance and fearing arrest for attending ordinary worship services. Others said authorities have pressured Christians to join government-controlled churches whose preaching is closely monitored by the Communist Party.
