While taking questions from reporters after her closed-door deposition before the House Oversight Committee on Thursday, former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton was asked why Ghislaine Maxwell — the convicted sex-trafficker and Jeffrey Epstein’s former mistress — was a guest at her daughter’s wedding in 2010.
“Why was Ghislaine Maxwell at Chelsea’s wedding?” the former secretary was asked shortly after the deposition wrapped up. “She came as plus one with a guest who was invited,” Clinton responded shortly before the press conference wrapped up.
