President Donald Trump told reporters on Air Force one shortly after signing a peace deal that ended the Gaza War that he doubts his own salvation. Peter Doocy of Fox News asked if ending this war might help him get to heaven. Trump replied, “I don’t think there’s anything gonna get me in heaven. I think I’m not maybe heaven bound. I may be in heaven right now as we fly in Air Force One. I’m not sure I’m gonna be able to make heaven.”
President Donald Trump gave remarks aboard Air Force One about his salvation, and the response is predictably divided.
After a peace deal between Hamas and Israel over the fighting in Gaza was signed, with the United States acting as a mediator and the Trump administration bringing about a plan for peace, there has understandably been great cause to celebrate and rejoice in an end to violence and hostages being returned home to their families after years in captivity.
Trump answered Fox New’s Peter Doocy on what that historic moment meant for him personally in a clip posted to social media platform X on Sunday.
“You talked about how you hoped to end the war in Ukraine because it might help you get into heaven. How does this help?” Doocy asked. “Does this help?”
The U.N is alleging to be preparing to enact a tax on international shipping in the name of global warming. This tax will also target U.S. shipping. The move is seen by Americans as being “taxation without representation” especially given the sentiment that the UN does NOT work in the interest of the American people.
Governor Ron DeSantis (R-FL) said of the scheme, “No taxation without representation. Being taxed by the UN would be far more offensive than the taxes imposed by Great Britain against the American colonies more than 250 years ago. Those taxes sparked the American Revolution. The UN should be defunded, not seeded with new tax revenue.”
The United States boasts plenty of coal, wood, and fowl — enough to provide all the tar and feathers required.
Indeed, the globalist bureaucrats at the United Nations should remember how Americans deal with unconstitutional attempts at taxation.
According to the Wall Street Journal, the U.N. this week stands “poised to impose what amounts to a global tax on carbon emissions” — what the WSJ called “the ultimate in taxation without representation.”
Despite lacking both sovereign authority and enforcement power, the U.N.’s London-based International Maritime Organization could attempt to saddle ships with taxes ranging from $100 to $380 per metric ton of carbon dioxide that exceeds a certain emissions level.
DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Leftists are calling for veterans of “the George Floyd revolt” to join upcoming “No Kings” rallies against President Donald Trump on Saturday.
CrimethInc, an international anarchist group, encouraged supporters on Thursday to engage in “anti-authoritarian” uprisings similar to the 2020 Black Lives Matter riots when the nationwide anti-Trump rallies take place. The post recommended “direct action planning,” a phrase CrimethInc defines as mobilizing people to cause a public disruption even if it risks arrest.

The US Senate on Tuesday rejected a bill to reopen the government for the eighth time, meaning that lawmakers are still far from reaching a consensus, and the shutdown will continue into its third week.
In a 49-45 vote, senators approved the GOP’s continuing resolution, which would keep the government afloat until the end of November, well short of the 60 votes required to move forward.
The government shutdown revolves around a debate over health care policy—particularly the Affordable Care Act subsidies that are expiring for millions of Americans who rely on government aid to purchase their own health insurance.
Roads were seen with moving tanks as intense clashes continued between Afghanistan and Pakistan, with both sides claiming damage and casualties. This latest confrontation left 15 Afghan civilians dead, officials in Kabul told AFP on Wednesday. The fighting broke out overnight in Spin Boldak, a southern Afghan district.Ali Mohammad Haqmal, a local spokesman, confirmed the casualties to AFP, while Abdul Jan Barak, an official at Spin Boldak district hospital, verified that dozens had been injured.
According to the Pakistan Army, its forces killed at least 15–20 Taliban fighters in the Spin Boldak area, stating that “the attack was effectively repulsed by Pakistani forces.”
Israel restricted aid into Gaza and kept the enclave’s border shut on Tuesday while re-emergent Hamas fighters demonstrated their grip by executing men in the street, darkening the outlook for U.S. President Donald Trump’s plan to end the war.
Israel told the United Nations it will only allow 300 aid trucks into Gaza – half the agreed daily number – from Wednesday, and that no fuel or gas will be allowed in, except for specific needs related to humanitarian infrastructure, according to a note seen by Reuters and confirmed by the United Nations.
“We have taken the power,” Colonel Michael Randrianirina, who led a mutiny of soldiers joining anti-government Gen Z demonstrators, said on national radio.
Randrianirina added that the military was dissolving all institutions except the lower house of parliament or National Assembly, which voted to impeach Rajoelina minutes earlier.
“During a search of his residence in Vienna, Virginia, authorities recovered more than a thousand pages of documents marked “TOP SECRET” and “SECRET,” as per court filings…Federal officials further alleged that Tellis met with Chinese government representatives several times over the past few years..”
What happened to people going to jail for this?
Ashley Tellis is a Chinese spy. The man who single-handedly poisoned many in DC think-tanks against India with his 2023 article in @ForeignAffairs, America’s bad bet on India. The latest of his appalling and spiteful screed was India’s great power delusions. Now we know why. pic.twitter.com/hNxwKNSRwA
Just this morning, I wrote that the reason Democrats can’t moderate their unpopular political positions on things such as transgenderism and immigration is that they’ve backed themselves into logical corners that do not allow any moderation or compromise. This is why they can’t move on the budget. To them, $3.9 million in “LGBTQ+ democracy grants” for the Balkans is as important as welfare checks at home.
And today, as if by magic, one of my leftist Facebook friends re-posted one of the most insane and extreme pro-abortion things I’ve ever seen. (Many have wondered why I continue to have leftist friends on Facebook. The reason is that I’m a writer and they provide me with endless inspiration.)
The Trump administration is looking for alternative ways to ensure federal law enforcement officers are paid as the government shutdown enters its third week.
With Democrats and Republicans locked in a stalemate over the shutdown, officials in government are exploring alternative ways of paying for some key programmes, including a food programme for women and children.
Members of the US military, meanwhile, will be paid using funds previously allocated to the Pentagon following an order from President Donald Trump.
Ed Davey, the Lib Dem leader, asks for more detail of what the UK is doing to help ensure more aid gets into Gaza.
He says all the bodies of dead hostages need to be returned.
And he asks what the UK is doing to ensure that the expansion of illegal Israeli settlements on the West Bank stops.
Starmer thanks Davey for the “content and tone” of his response. (He is making a contrast with Badenoch’s.)
On aid, he says there is a need for more trucks be admitted to Gaza.
On the bodies of hostages, Starmer says he agrees with Davey.
He says, when the media are finally admitted to Gaza, he thinks there will be ‘“quite some debate” in the Commons about “the full horror” of what happened.
Nuclear stocks rallied Wednesday after the U.S. Army launched a program to deploy small reactors.
Shares of NuScale, a small reactor developer, soared 17%. Oklo and Nano Nuclear were up nearly 7% and 4%, resepectively. The uranium company Centrus was up 13%.
The U.S. Army on Tuesday launched a program to build micro nuclear reactors in partnership with the Defense Innovation Unit. The microreactors will be commercially owned and operated with the goal of helping developers scale up their businesses, according to the Army.
22 U.S. states provide in-state tuition for illegal immigrant students, with 18 of these states also offering additional financial aid, despite federal restrictions established by the Illegal Immigration Reform and Immigrant Responsibility Act of 1996.
The Trump administration has challenged these state policies via lawsuits, citing the need to enforce existing laws prohibiting residency-related benefits for illegal immigrants.
Critics of the legal challenges claim that denying in-state tuition undermines state economies and education systems, as it restricts access to affordable education for a significant number of students.
In a fiery press conference Tuesday, House Majority Leader Steve Scalise (R-LA) accused Senate Minority Leader Chuck Schumer (D-NY) of intentionally extending the ongoing partial government shutdown in order to wait for a fresh round of “No Kings Day” protests on October 18, which Scalise referred to as a “hate America rally.”
Schumer has repeatedly accused Republicans of causing the ongoing shutdown, despite the fact that just three Democrats have voted in favor of a House-passed “clean” temporary measure that will fund the government through late November. The measure requires 60 votes to pass in the Senate, meaning that at least seven Democrats must vote in favor.
Conservative members of Canada’s Parliament are investigating the Antifa militant who allegedly threw a smoke bomb inside a Montreal church at which American pro-life Christian singer Sean Feucht was performing.
Last Thursday, a Parliamentary committee grilled Public Safety Minister Gary Anandasangaree about the incident that took place in July.
Conservative MP Dane Lloyd asked the minister, “There have been allegations made that there is an Antifa member who threw smoke bombs into a church service in Montreal this past summer.”
He added that the “allegations are that they’re a government employee that worked at a military base outside of Montreal. Are you aware of these allegations?”
How over the edge is the left in Los Angeles County? A lot. They proved it, big time, with the move they made on Tuesday.
Los Angeles County officials voted Tuesday to declare a state of emergency that gives them power to provide assistance for residents they say have suffered financially from ongoing federal immigration raids.
The move allows the L.A. County Board of Supervisors to provide rent relief for tenants who have fallen behind as a result of the crackdown on immigrants. [….]
The local state of emergency can also funnel state money for legal aid and other services.
Democrats are keeping the government closed for the sake of “No Kings” mass protests scheduled for Saturday, Oct. 18.
We already have a no kings day – it’s called July 4th.
Ironic, is it not, that the far left radicals who refuse to accept the results of the Presidential election are whining about “kings.”
Rep. Tom Emmer (R-MN) correctly calls the Democrat planned ‘No Kings’ rally on October 18 the ‘Hate America’ rally.
He adds Schumer “can’t end this shutdown because this small but very violent and vocal group is the only one that’s happy about this.”pic.twitter.com/yzI8D609LG
On Sept. 30, hours before the federal government shut down, the U.S. Food and Drug Administration had a baffling act to fit in. The FDA stealthily approved a new generic version of the abortion drug mifepristone.
Ironically, the approval came barely a week after the administration warned pregnant women to reconsider taking Tylenol to avoid harm to their unborn children.
State Department revokes six visas over offensive Charlie Kirk assassination comments
The State Department on Tuesday said the United States isn’t obligated to take in foreigners who wish harm on Americans, before posting a list of six individuals whose visas were revoked for making vile comments about the assassination of Charlie Kirk.
The agency noted that the Trump administration will take action against those celebrating Kirk’s death.
“The State Department continues to identify visa holders who celebrated the heinous assassination of Charlie Kirk,” the agency wrote on X. “@POTUS and @SecRubio will defend our borders, our culture, and our citizens by enforcing our immigration laws. Aliens who take advantage of America’s hospitality while celebrating the assassination of our citizens will be removed.”
Woodyard targeted Megyn Doyle and Ava Kwan, the chapter’s treasurer and outreach coordinator, respectively, for removal from their positions within the organization.
Rutgers University director for student involvement Karima Woodyard is asking that two Turning Point USA officers be removed from their positions after their work to call attention to professor Mark Bray, an Antifa financier. Woodyard targeted Megyn Doyle and Ava Kwan, the chapter’s treasurer and outreach coordinator, respectively, for removal from their positions within the organization.
Mexican drug cartels have seen their profits decimated as the Trump administration ramps up its drone strikes on traffickers and pressures the country’s government to root out corruption and supply chains. Now, the drug lords are striking back, offering contract killers five-figure paydays to kill federal agents.
An epicenter of the conflict is Chicago which, although far from the southern border, has become a battleground between U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement and U.S. Customs and Border Protection, and the cartels supplying the windy city with drugs and illegal immigrants.
Back in August, former DOGE staffer Edward “Big Balls” Coristine was beat up by “youths” in Washington, DC after he intervened in a carjacking….
And the teens who assaulted Coristine are proof of that. Despite the violent attack that was allegedly part of an attempted carjacking, they were sentenced to probation:
Former Special Counsel Jack Smith spoke out for the first time about his politically motivated investigations into President Trump during a sit-down conversation with dirty prosecutor Andrew Weissmann at the University of London.
Andrew Weissmann ran Robert Mueller’s Trump-Russia witch hunt, and many believe he was involved in other cases against Trump.
Some Palestinians fear Hamas will not honor President Donald Trump’s Middle East peace plan as footage emerged of the terrorists executing civilians in Gaza’s streets, the New York Post reported Tuesday.
Hamas began rounding up alleged Israeli collaborators and killing them as soon as the country’s military withdrew from Gaza after a ceasefire was announced Oct. 8, an anonymous Gazan activist told NYP. The broader 20-point peace agreement requires Hamas to permanently disarm, but video evidence of its brutality toward Palestinians shows it continues to terrorize Gaza.

Two Venezuelan illegal immigrants were arrested in Chicago on Tuesday after allegedly ramming their vehicle into a Border Patrol vehicle.

Former President Barack Obama and California Governor Gavin Newsom are urging Californians to vote in favor of Proposition 50, a ballot measure that would replace the state’s independent redistricting system with a legislature-approved map projected to eliminate several Republican-held congressional districts.
On Tuesday, California Governor Gavin Newsom posted on X, “Listen to @barackobama,” sharing a new video featuring former President Barack Obama encouraging voters to support Proposition 50 in the state’s November 4 special election.
In the video, Obama says:
“California, the whole nation is counting on you. Democracy is on the ballot November 4. Republicans want to steal enough seats in Congress to rig the next election and wield unchecked power for two more years. With Prop 50, you can stop Republicans in their tracks. Prop 50 puts our elections back on a level playing field, which preserves Independent Redistricting over the long term, and lets the people decide. Return your ballot today. Vote yes on 50.”
The ad marks Obama’s latest effort to promote Gov. Newsom’s redistricting plan, which would replace California’s independent redistricting commission — created by voters in 2008 — with a partisan-drawn map. According to previous Breitbart News reports, the proposal would reduce Republican-held seats in California’s congressional delegation from nine to five, even though roughly 40 percent of voters supported Republican candidates in the 2024 election.
Obama has described Newsom’s proposal as a “reasoned and measured approach,” writing on X in August, “Over the long term, we shouldn’t have political gerrymandering in America, just a fair fight between Republicans and Democrats based on who’s got better ideas. But since Texas is taking direction from a partisan White House and gerrymandering in the middle of a decade to try and maintain the House despite their unpopular policies, I have tremendous respect for how Governor Newsom has approached this. He’s put forward a smart, measured approach in California, designed to address a very particular problem at a very particular moment in time.”
At a fundraiser on Martha’s Vineyard, Obama praised the initiative further, saying, “We’re only going to do it if and when Texas and/or other Republican states begin to pull these maneuvers. Otherwise, this doesn’t go into effect.”
California Republicans have sued to stop Newsom’s plan, calling it unconstitutional and arguing it violates the 30-day public notice requirement for legislation. The California Supreme Court, however, ruled in August that the plan could proceed, allowing the governor to use a “gut and amend” tactic to fast-track the measure through the legislature.
The special election — estimated to cost $250 million — will ask voters to approve the new map and amend the state constitution to permit mid-decade redistricting. The Democratic National Committee has launched bilingual outreach campaigns in support of Prop 50 focusing on Latino voters, while major donors including billionaire Tom Steyer have funded multimillion-dollar ad campaigns promoting the initiative.
Polls indicate that a majority of Californians still favor retaining the state’s independent redistricting commission. A UC Berkeley–Politico survey found that 64 percent of voters prefer the current system, compared to 36 percent who support the governor’s proposed changes.
California’s redistricting fight is part of a broader national battle following Texas’s new “One Big Beautiful Map” which adds five Republican-leaning districts. Obama and former Attorney General Eric Holder, through the National Democratic Redistricting Committee, have pledged to counter GOP-led redistricting efforts, characterizing them as “an existential threat to our democracy.”
