If you are like more than half of America, you are finding it harder to pay your bills. For most of us, that is because our annual incomes are no longer adequate to pay our bills. And the soaring amount it takes to be in the middle-class is one reason we are falling behind.

According to the website GOBankingRates.com , Americans are really falling behind during the Biden junta.

In fact, the amount that Americans need to be considered middle-class has risen a whopping 42 percent since 2012 (during the middle of the Obama term).

The minimum average amount to be middle-class in the U.S. is now $50,099 annually. Of course, that does not mean $50K is middle class in every part of the nation. The site notes that in Mississippi that income level is $35,323, yet in Maryland it is $65,641.

The Chinese Communist Party’s (CCP) premier automaker, BYD, is selling a $12,000 Electric Vehicle (EV) that “could be a nightmare” for the United States auto industry without an all-out ban or steeper tariffs on such cars made by Chinese companies.

A report from the Detroit News, which interviewed several industry insiders, details the impact that BYD’s all-electric Seagull — which sells for just $12,000 in China and about $21,000 in Latin America — may have on American auto workers without fierce trade protections.

Currently, former President Donald Trump’s 25 percent tariffs on China-made cars are the only reason BYD and other Chinese automakers have not flooded the U.S. market with cheap EVs to sell to American consumers.

Warner Bros. Discovery Inc. announced on an earnings call that the game Suicide Squad: Kill the Justice League lost the company $200 million.

On the Q1 2024 earnings call, investors heard from President and CEO David Zaslav and CFO Gunnar Wiedenfels.

Zaslav broke the bad news first and stated that “unfortunately,” the studio’s Q1 financials were overshadowed by the tough sales in the games department “following the great performance of Hogwarts Legacy last year and the disappointing release of Suicide Squad in Q1 in our gaming group.”

“On the advertising front,” Zaslav continued, “total company ad sales were down 7% in the quarter.”

President Joe Biden suggested Tuesday it is false that his administration is restricting consumer choice in the automobile market, but his administration recently finalized a rule that will force electric vehicles (EVs) to make up a much larger share of overall auto sales over the next decade.

Biden made the remark during a Tuesday speech about his administration’s decision to significantly bolster tariffs against Chinese products including steel, semiconductor chips and EV batteries. The Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) finalized a rule in March that requires manufacturers to make EVs constitute between 35% and 56% of new cars sold in 2032, according to CNN.

“Americans, I want to make this clear, notwithstanding what the other guy is saying, can buy any kind of car they want, whether it’s gas, electric or hybrid,” Biden said, referencing former President Donald Trump. “But we’re never going to allow China to unfairly control the market for these cars, period.”

Donald Trump warned in a recent video that the left is trying to bring back Covid lockdowns and mandates ahead of the 2024 election. “The left-wing lunatics are trying very hard to bring back Covid lockdowns and mandates with all of their sudden fear-mongering about the new variants that are coming. Gee whiz, you know what else is coming? An election,” Trump said.

“They want to restart the Covid hysteria so they can justify more lockdowns, more censorship, more illegal drop boxes, more mail-in ballots and trillions of dollars in payoffs to their political allies heading into the 2024 election. Does that sound familiar? These are bad people. These are sick people we’re dealing with.”

Trump issued a message to “every Covid tyrant” who wishes to re-implement these measures and “take away our freedom.”

The Republican National Committee (RNC) appears to have little to no on-the-ground operations in key battleground states despite former President Donald Trump narrowly leading President Joe Biden, local GOP and conservative group leaders tell The Federalist. They expressed optimism, however, that the RNC will step up its efforts and suggested it’s “typical” for the RNC not to have its ground game going until about now.

Grassroots organizations are targeting key states such as Arizona, Pennsylvania, Georgia, Wisconsin, Nevada, and Texas to improve “election processes at the administrative level well before Election Day,” director Josh Findlay of the Texas Public Policy Foundation’s Elections Protection Project told The Federalist.

Findlay touted the groups’ “huge successes” throughout battleground states with regard to drop box security, absentee ballot procedures, observer access and absentee processing centers. But despite all the work being done on the ground to elect Republicans, the RNC doesn’t seem too involved – though grassroots leaders are hopeful that won’t be the case for long.

As panic continues to fester within the Biden campaign, the president and his handlers are trying a new tactic: Lifting Donald Trump’s policies.

Pale, senile, and not ready, Joe Biden took to the podium in the Rose Garden on Tuesday to talk tariffs. Of course, as we’ll get to, the possible need for them is the result of yet another terrible policy instituted by the president. No one is better at shooting themselves in the foot than Biden.

Michael Cohen, the key witness in Donald Trump’s criminal trial, was confronted Tuesday with his own foul-mouthed statements about Trump and his lawyers as the defense got its first opportunity to question him.

Cohen was calm but occasionally combative while fending off attacks from Trump attorney Todd Blanche, who targeted his motivations and credibility. Confronted with recent statements in which he called Blanche a “crying little s–t” and Trump a “dictator d—–bag,” Cohen replied dryly: “Sounds like something I would say.”

Asked about a series of times when he effusively praised Trump in 2015, Cohen said he was “knee deep into the cult of Donald Trump.”

The US government has provided more detail on how a former AT&T executive allegedly bribed a powerful state lawmaker’s ally in order to obtain legislation favorable to AT&T’s business.

Former AT&T Illinois President Paul La Schiazza is set to go on trial in September 2024 after being indicted on charges of conspiracy to unlawfully influence then-Illinois House Speaker Michael Madigan. AT&T itself agreed to pay a $23 million fine in October 2022 in connection with the alleged illegal influence campaign and said it was “committed to ensuring that this never happens again.”

US government prosecutors offered a preview of their case against La Schiazza in a filing on Friday in US District Court for the Northern District of Illinois. A contract lobbyist hired by AT&T “is expected to testify that AT&T successfully passed two major pieces of legislation after the company started making payments to Individual FR-1.”

One of former President Donald Trump’s top critics in Congress is asking major oil companies for more information about a meeting Trump had with their executives in which he allegedly promised to roll back environmental regulations if they spend $1 billion on his campaign.

Rep. Jamie Raskin, D-Md., the ranking Democrat on the House Oversight Committee, announced Tuesday that he sent letters to nine companies including ExxonMobil, Chevron and the American Petroleum Institute, the lobbying arm for oil and gas companies.

The letters came after the Washington Post reported that Trump met with oil executives and told them they would get a good deal if they raised $1 billion for his campaign because they would make far more money when he rolled environmental back regulations once he got in office.

Donald Trump has called the various cases brought against him by the Biden Justice Department and by left-wing district attorneys “election interference,” and on Tuesday, White House Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre inadvertently appeared to confirm that he is correct….

A reporter decided to ask about this during Tuesday’s White House press briefing.

“Was it appropriate for Speaker Johnson to show up at the trial with the former president today?” the reporter asked.

“So look, I’m — I can’t speak to — don’t want to comment, obviously, as this is related to the 2024 elections,” Jean-Pierre said. “And I can’t speak to the Speaker’s schedule. That is something for him to decide on. And let’s not forget, this is also connected to an independent judicial process. So, going to be really mindful. And he makes his choices on what he does, you know, with — with his business. That is his choice to be made.”

In 2022, Axios heralded the arrival of a monumental legal battle: the prosecution of President Trump by the Department of Justice (DOJ) under the leadership of Jay Bratt, the head of the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section.

However, Independent journalist and reporter Julie Kelly notes a tangible friction between the judiciary and the DOJ, with Bratt leading the charge in this contentious legal struggle.

Bratt, esteemed by the corporate media for his powerful handling of national security and espionage cases, was tasked with spearheading the investigation into potential Trump violations. However, amidst this high-stakes legal drama, independent journalist Julie Kelly presents a starkly different narrative of Bratt, shedding light on alleged discrepancies and malpractices in the DOJ’s handling of the case.

Ohio Sen. J. D. Vance reminded the public on Monday that the judge overseeing the Manhattan lawfare case against former President Donald Trump has a daughter who is a Democrat political operative. It’s an entirely true statement, yet it’s one Trump is prohibited from making himself thanks to a gag order from partisan Judge Juan Merchan — which is why congressional Republicans must show up daily to serve as a voice for the former president and 2024 front-runner.

“The thing that the president is prevented from saying, which is a disgrace, is that every single person involved in this prosecution is practically a Democratic political operative. The judge inside, his daughter is making millions of dollars running against Donald Trump, raising money for Donald Trump’s political opponents,” Vance said outside the courthouse. Notably, Judge Merchan himself donated to Biden’s campaign.

Vance’s comments echoed those of Florida Sen. Rick Scott, who joined Trump last week when pornographer Stormy Daniels took the stand. Scott also noted that the daughter of the judge overseeing the case “is a political operative and raises money for Democrats.”

South Dakota Governor Kristi Noem is no longer welcome in about 20 percent of her state after two Native American tribes banned her from their reservations after remarks that tribal leaders benefitted from the drug cartels, according to CBS News. While unclear if this will be politically damaging, it’s another headache for the governor, who has experienced a whirlwind of bad press over her controversial memoir, where she details how she dragged the family dog, Cricket, to a hole and shot it to death.

CBS News added that observers feel that Noem stoking the tensions with tribal leaders could be a way to divert attention from the killing of Cricket. It wouldn’t be the first time the Noem administration has had problems with the tribes; from supporting the Keystone Pipeline, along with establishing COVID checkpoints during the pandemic to prevent unsolicited entries into the reservations, also rubbed tribal leaders the wrong way (via CBS News):

South Dakota Gov. Kristi Noem is now banned from entering nearly 20% of her state after two more tribes banished her this week over comments she made earlier this year about tribal leaders benefitting from drug cartels.

Abortion is all the Democrats have to run on this year. With a beleaguered economy, an unsecure border and rising crime, Joe Biden’s track record is pretty bleak.

So Democrats are hoping that they can rally liberals to the polls by trashing Donald trump on abortion. Even with Trump’s new states’ rights abortion stance, liberals think they can get enough angry leftists to the polls to  overcome Biden’s deficit on the most important political issues to most Americans.

One of these liberal groups is launching a $25 million campaign to bash Trump for appointing the Supreme Court justices who helped overturn Roe.

The North Texas lawmaker who authored the state’s controversial book rating law wants the state attorney general to defend it in front of the U.S. Supreme Court after a federal appeals court blocked its enforcement earlier this year.

In a letter addressed to Attorney General Ken Paxton Friday, Texas Rep. Jared Patterson, R-Frisco, defended HB 900 — which would require booksellers to rate the explicitness and relevance of sexual references in materials they sell to schools — and called the U.S. Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals decision to block the law “ridiculous.”

“We have an opportunity to stand against vendors peddling pornography to children and to reaffirm our commitment to the well-being of all Texas students by appealing this decision to the Supreme Court,” Patterson wrote in his letter.

One feature of wall-to-wall coverage on leftwing cable is that it is unscripted. And on unscripted, not-as-tightly-produced television where you have to fill multiple hours of “analysis” of a single event, such as on this occasion, the trial of former President Donald Trump in New York City, people’s real opinions sometimes just fall out.

Such an occasion happens here, during MSNBC’s Maddow block. Watch as former White House Press Secretary Jen Psaki- fresh off of smearing Gold Star parents, now smears the entire State of Alabama as “crazy” (click “expand”):

Hillary Clinton’s recent criticism of some of the pro-Hamas protesters demonstrating on college campuses across the U.S. did not sit well with Sen. Chris Van Hollen (D-MD).

Last Thursday, Clinton said the students who have been demonstrating on college and university campuses “don’t know very much at all about the history of the Middle East, or frankly about history in many areas of the world, including in our own country.”

The Maryland Democrat, who has been critical of how the Biden administration has handled Israel’s war against Hamas, disagreed with Clinton’s assessment.

“I thought, Margaret, that Secretary Clinton’s comments, in that regard, were quite dismissive of students’ concerns about the awful humanitarian crisis and high civilian death toll in Gaza,” he said Sunday on CBS’s “Face the Nation.”

There are two classic propaganda narratives used by governments when it comes to keeping the public invested in any war campaign that does nothing to advance their national interests:

First, there’s the “commitment” lie, which says that once you step in to support a war effort you then must stay exponentially committed, even if that war effort is exposed as pointless. Anytime the public pulls back from that war in a bid to reconsider what purpose it serves they are ridiculed for potentially “risking lives” and setting the stage for defeat. In other words, you must support the effort blindly. You’re not allowed to examine the conflict rationally, because who wants to be blamed for losing a war?

Second, there’s the “domino effect” lie, which says that if you allow a particular “enemy” to win in one conflict, they will automatically be emboldened to invade other countries until they own the entire planet. It’s the same claim used to trick the American populace into supporting the war in Vietnam and it rarely turns out to be true. In fact, nations that engage in regional wars tend to be so weakened by the fighting that they don’t have the means to move on to another country even if they wanted to.

Allege school officials have ‘militarized’ campus, ‘brutally punished’ student protesters

First it was Columbia University students — now “hundreds” of the school’s faculty and staff are planning to go on strike unless officers from the New York Police Department vacate the campus.

The strike will be limited, however; the Columbia Spectator reports the potential strikers still will “do work that directly serves students.”

This means professors won’t “withhold grades, recommendation letters, or other ‘student-serving’ work.”

Those planning to strike said in a Friday press release that the NYPD “has created an unsafe work environment,” most especially for members of minority communities “who are disproportionately profiled by police.”

After months of telling the global public that the current bird flu outbreak, which has infected animals across the planet and has been discovered in 20% of grocery store milk, was no threat to humans – scientists, medical professionals and health organizations are now singing a very different – and terrifying – tune.

According to an article in The Guardian over the weekend, the threat level to humans appears to be much higher than we were led to believe. According to virologist Professor Paul Digard, who has been studying the current outbreak:

“Flu is constantly evolving, and it is clear that a couple of years ago, the current strain of bird flu changed to become supercharged,” says Digard. “Now that it seems to be fairly widespread in the cow population in the US, that’s a much more direct route where it could transmit to people and gain the adaptations it needs to go pandemic.”

Former Trump adviser Steve Bannon should begin serving a four-month prison sentence now that a federal appeals court has upheld his contempt-of-Congress conviction, the Justice Department told a federal judge Tuesday.

US District Judge Carl Nichols, who presided over Bannon’s trial, had paused Bannon’s sentence while an appeal of his conviction played out. He has given Bannon until Monday to respond to the DOJ’s request, extending an earlier deadline following a motion to delay from the defense team.

Bannon was found guilty in July 2022 by a federal jury of two counts of contempt of Congress for defying a subpoena by the House January 6 select committee in its investigation into the 2021 attack on the US Capitol.
