With the world focused on the Olympics, the American elections, the war in Gaza, and the shifting balance of war in Ukraine, the topic of assisted dying is flying under the radar.

But in the United Kingdom, it is high up on the political agenda. Lord Falconer, a former Lord Chancellor who has been lobbying for legalisation of assisted dying for years, says that with Sir Keir Starmer as Prime Minister, Britons have a once-in-a-lifetime chance to change the law.

“This is such an opportunity,” he told The Observer. “The last time this was voted upon, there was a clear vote against it in the Commons. But of the 650 MPs who were present in 2015, 477 of them have gone. It’s a completely new House of Commons with a wholly new atmosphere, with a prime minister who is saying: ‘You must decide as a free vote – and if you decide in favour, the government will make sure that procedural stratagems don’t doom the bill.’”

As columnist Polly Toynbee, an ever-reliable voice for progressive policies, put it: “It will join the roll call of great liberal reforms that only happen under Labour.” (These include abortion and divorce reform, gay rights, ending the death penalty, decriminalising suicide, and reform of obscenity laws.)

At its core, professing the Christian faith means believing with all our heart that God brings light out of darkness.

Thus, it should not surprise us when we see it happen, but it still has the power to amaze.

At a press conference on Friday at the woke and blasphemous Olympics in Paris, gold medalist Yemisi Ogunleye of Germany responded to a moderator’s question by breaking into a gospel song in praise of Jesus.

To his credit, the moderator prompted Ogunleye with a question seemingly designed to call forth a worshipful hymn.

“Yemi, is it true you sing in the gospel choir?” he asked.

On Thursday, the National Right to Life Committee, Inc. (NRLC) issued requests for records relating to the Army’s designation of it as a “terrorist group” during a training event at Fort Liberty, North Carolina, on July 10, 2024. Shockingly, the training event included a slide listing National Right to Life under the bold, all-caps heading, “TERRORIST GROUPS,” as well as bullet points listing examples such as “Pro Life” and “Oppose Row [sic] v Wade.” Were these baseless and sweeping vilifications of NRLC and pro-life people in general not appalling enough, the slide also mentioned peaceful pro-life activities, such as sidewalk counseling.

In a scathing indictment, Representative Jim Banks (R-IN), Chairman of the Subcommittee on Military Personnel, together with numerous Republican colleagues, sent a letter to Christine Wormuth, Secretary of the Army, demanding answers about who vetted these training materials, whether this was an official Army policy, and whether Secretary Wormuth would commit to actions ensuring such outrageous “terrorist” classification of pro-life groups like NRLC and its members would not occur again.

A male golfer who competes in women’s events has blasted female athletes who complain about being forced to compete against transgenders.

Hailey Davidson, a man who claims to be a “transgender woman” to compete in female events, almost qualified for the U.S. Women’s Open earlier this year.

Earlier this year, Davidson was banned from the NXXT Women’s Pro Tour as the organization changed its eligibility standards.

In a post on Instagram Monday, Davidson attacked female athletes, seemingly out of the blue.

He argued that female athletes are only angry about competing against men because they aren’t good enough to beat them.

A 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals panel in a two-sentence order on Friday vacated a July decision by
U.S. District Judge Rolando Olvera refusing to reconsider an earlier ruling transferring the case from his
Brownsville, Texas, court to Los Angeles.
The appeals court issued its decision without prejudice, however, citing a related appeal that is still
pending. That means the NLRB can again move to transfer the lawsuit to California, where SpaceX is
based and the company is facing an administrative board case claiming it illegally fired engineers critical
of CEO Elon Musk.

During an X Spaces with Donald Trump on Monday, Elon Musk offered to serve on a Government Efficiency Committee to rein in wasteful spending at the federal level.

Trump and Musk floated the idea of the government efficiency commission as they were speaking, and Musk then offered, “I’d be happy to help out on such a commission.”

Appeared to be pleased by the idea, saying, “Well, you you’re the greatest cutter. I mean, I look at what you do.” The GOP nominee spoke about how Musk has gone into companies in order to make them more efficient and cut down costs.

Trump and Musk then spoke about how inflation is affecting everyday workers and people who have saved money throughout their lives. Trump then slammed Harris on the economy as well as the topic of energy needs in the United States.

Former President Donald Trump pledged to unleash American energy production with new oil and gas operations approved in Alaska’s Arctic National Wildlife Refuge (ANWR).

In a Monday night interview on X with platform CEO Elon Musk, Trump promised to get oil and gas production on Alaska’s north slope up and running “quickly” four years after President Joe Biden suspended plans for drilling.

“I’ll get it going very quickly because not only is it big for Alaska,” Trump said, but also “for the United States.” It’s “pure, really good stuff.”

The Republican president had previously opened the 1.6-million-acre stretch on Alaska’s north coast for oil and gas development through the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. The administration issued the first leases to drill in ANWR’s coastal plain on Trump’s final full day in office before Biden halted projects and ultimately terminated the leases last summer.

Democrat New York judge issued a ruling Monday that blocks independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr from the New York ballot in what is part of the left’s latest efforts to try and prevent Kennedy from spoiling Vice President Kamala Harris’ chances of winning.

Judge Christina Ryba issued a 34-page decision stating the bedroom that Kennedy allegedly rents in Katonah, New York is not a “bona fide and legitimate residence, but merely a ‘sham’ address that he assumed for the purpose of maintaining his voter registration” and assisting his presidential bid. Kennedy contends his primary residence has been New York since 1964 and that he pays New York state taxes and possesses a state driver’s license.

Ryba argues Kennedy’s primary residence is in California but that Kennedy has a “long-standing pattern” of using the addresses of friends and family to maintain his voter registration in New York.

“Kennedy’s designation of the 84 Croton Lake Road address as his ‘place of residence’ was a false statement requiring invalidation of the petition,” Ryba ruled.

Independent presidential candidate Robert F. Kennedy Jr. cannot be on New York’s presidential election ballot because he used a “false” address for nominating petitions, a judge has ruled.

Judge Christina Ryba says Kennedy falsely gave a New York address as his place of residence and consequently his request to be included on the ballot had to be rejected. Kennedy, in turn, has rejected the judge’s decision and says he will appeal.

Minnesota grandma slapped with 90-day prison sentence in 2021 over Covid violations says ‘Tim Walz will take your rights away’

Former wine and coffee bistro owner Lisa Hanson was sentenced to prison for 90 days for violating Kamala Harris‘ vice-presidential pick Tim Walz’s Covid-19 lockdown orders in Minnesota in 2020. In a recent interview, Hanson told Fox News that Walz “shut down and destroyed” her small business in the state, and that Americans “do not want tyranny at this level.” Hanson is the mother of eight children and 18 grandchildren.

Hanson at one time owned The Interchange Wine & Coffee Bistro in Albert Lea, which is about 90 miles south of Minneapolis. Her small business had been open for eight years prior to the Covid-19 pandemic and lockdowns. In March 2020, Hanson complied with the laws initially, but then saw that liquor stores, strip clubs, and big box stores all stayed open as they were deemed “essential.”

“He shut down a lot of the mom-and-pop shops, those folks that were just trying to make a living and provide a great product and a great service,” Hanson told Fox News. “In contrast, he allowed big box stores, etc. to stay open. Really incredible, an incredible use of tyranny against the people.”

Tim Walz’s ‘Free Meals for Kids’ Scheme Handed $250 Million in Taxpayer Money to Fraudsters, 70 People Charged So Far

As Minnesota governor, Democrat vice presidential nominee Tim Walz oversaw a “free meals for kids” scheme that saw a whopping $250 million in taxpayer money handed to fraudsters and blown luxury goods and overseas real estate.

70 people have been charged so far in connection with the fraud scheme since 2022.

The Feeding Our Future program used a quarter-billion in federal tax dollars from the Minnesota Department of Education (MDE).

The federally funded meal assistance plan was meant to help give free meals to eligible children and adults who were struggling due to shutdowns during the pandemic.

However, the federal taxpayer money was instead used to fund the lavish lifestyles of criminals.

In a statement regarding the scandal, Billy Glahn, an adjunct policy fellow with the Minnesota-based Center of the American Experiment, said:

“At least a quarter billion dollars was stolen by fraudsters.

Leader of Walz’s unit breaks his silence: When demands got real, ‘he chose another path’

The leader of Minnesota Governor Tim Walz’s unit while he was in the National Guard is speaking out to give his perspective about Walz’s decision to retire sooner than planned in order to avoid deployment to Iraq so that he could run for Congress.

The Democrats’ new vice presidential nominee’s military service and comments he has made about it have come under intense scrutiny, as he made it appear, on multiple occasions, that he served in a combat zone, when he did not, and retired as a command sergeant major, when he instead officially retired as a master sergeant.

John Kolb would have been Walz’s boss if he had not left the service before the deployment.

The issue has followed Walz since he started his political career.

In a Facebook post, Kolb said, “I do not regret Tim Walz retired early” because the man who replaced him, Thomas Behrends, turned out to be an exemplary leader and was needed during their unit’s tough mission to Iraq. He went on to criticize Walz for falsely claiming to be a retired command sergeant major for years.

Minneapolis Police Sergeant Said Tim Walz Told Them to Give Up Precinct During Riots

More and more keeps coming out about Minnesota Gov. Walz, now the presumptive Democratic VP candidate, and his failure during the BLM riots after the death of George Floyd in 2020.

A Twitter account unearthed a video of Minneapolis Police Sergeant Anna Hedberg saying that she heard Walz telling them to abandon the Third Precinct, which burned during the riot.

“I was in the command post, and I heard it. I heard the governor say, ‘Give it up.’ It wasn’t directly to me. It was through a phone call, and when the governor says to give up the precinct, I mean, that’s…that’s demoralizing for the whole state.”

Officer Rich Walker Sr. expanded on the feelings.

“I believe I speak for every Minneapolis police cop when I tell you that I’ve never been more publicly humiliated.”

Walker added more on the crime.

“The crime is rampant in Minneapolis right now.”

Voters in Crucial Swing State PA Are Not Buying Harris’s Flip on Fracking

Voters in battleground Pennsylvania aren’t buying Democratic presidential nominee Kamala Harris’s promise to not ban fracking, the Washington Post reported on Tuesday.

The last time Harris ran for president, in 2019, she was a vocal advocate of outlawing the practice, saying, “There’s no question I’m in favor of banning fracking” during a CNN town hall. As a senator, she also sponsored the Green New Deal, which includes a ban on fracking.

Harris’s new campaign, without explaining the candidate’s shift in thinking, said the vice president will not ban fracking, but swing-state Pennsylvania voters—whose livelihoods largely rely on the state’s fossil energy industry—aren’t buying her change of heart.

Emanuel Paris, a Pennsylvania resident with a sustainability degree whose family owns a 400-employee construction firm, told the Post he will be voting for former president Donald Trump this November, calling Harris’s fracking flip-flip a “grab for votes.”

“It’s not like we can just shut off everything else and switch to solar and wind,” Paris told the Post. He also condemned numerous Biden-Harris administration policies he believes are hampering growth in the local energy sector, such as permit restrictions and unmanageable regulations.

41% of voters say it’s fair to call Kamala Harris a DEI hire: Rasmussen poll

A recent survey conducted by Rasmussen Reports found that 41 percent of likely US voters believe it is fair to label Vice President Kamala Harris as a “DEI hire.” Meanwhile, 45 percent of respondents do not think the label is fair, and 15 percent remain unsure.

The survey also explored public opinions on DEI policies more broadly. It found that 27 percent of voters believe that it is racist to criticize DEI policies, whereas almost half (49 percent) disagree, saying that criticism of these policies is not racist. An additional 24 percent of respondents were uncertain.

When asked about how educated they were on DEI policies, 49 percent of those surveyed said they were “very familiar,” while 14 percent admitted they were not familiar with them. Among those who claimed to be very familiar with DEI policies, 59 percent believe that criticism should not be considered racist.

The poll highlighted partisan differences on the issue. Among Democrats, 44 percent believe it is racist to criticize DEI policies, compared to just 17 percent of Republicans and 18 percent of unaffiliated voters. Conversely, 63 percent of Republicans, 33 percent of Democrats, and 53 percent of unaffiliated voters do not consider criticism of DEI policies to be racist.

“I am a trans man and I’m gay and I have been pregnant:” Kamala Fans Describe Why They’re Voting For Her

The only people excited to vote for Kamala Harris are trans men who are also gay and have been pregnant and also had an abortion but don’t want to lose their rights. Unclear how any of those are “rights” and how a person can be one thing but also its antithesis, but here we are in 2024, where insanity is more common than sanity.

The fear-mongering of “trans men” not being able to get abortions has been going on for quite some time now. This makes no sense because the amount of people claiming to be a trans man who are also seeking an abortion is probably not even a percentage of the population but the Harris campaign would be nothing without that voting base.

TENET Media asked voters, “Why are you voting for Kamala Harris?” Rather than discuss policy or lack thereof, a couple of “trans men” discussed their fears of losing “rights” that are not in any founding document.

Harris Rally Attendee: “I don’t want to lose my rights. Like I am a trans man and I’m gay and I have been pregnant and had an abortion before and I don’t want to lose that.”

Harris critical of Biden-Harris border policy

It’s been a weird year and it got weirder yesterday. VP Kamala Harris spoke of the border and how she was going to fight gangs and fentanyl. Let’s check it out:

After officially securing the Democratic nominee despite not winning a single primary vote, Harris has doubled down on her immigration plans.

However, critics accuse Harris of “unburdening” herself from the responsibility of securing the U.S.-Mexico border.

House Committee on Homeland Security Chairman Mark E. Green, MD (R-TN), wrote an op-ed criticizing Harris for failing to resolve the self-inflicted crisis on the nation’s borders.

Harris could be closing gap with Trump on the economy: Poll

Vice President Kamala Harris is making headway with voters on the economy, according to a poll released this month.

While former President Donald Trump garnered the majority of support over economic matters in previous surveys, Harris appears to be picking up steam after taking the reins from President Joe Biden as the Democratic Party’s presidential nominee.

A new poll conducted by the Financial Times and the University of Michigan showed voters trust Harris to handle the economy over Trump by 1 percentage point. The vice president captured the slim lead after prior polling showed Trump leading Biden on the matter by 6 percentage points.

Latest TIME Magazine Cover Takes Mainstream Media’s Creepy Kamala ‘Worship’ to a New Level

Only the establishment media could follow its own predictable patterns while still finding new ways to beclown itself.

Early Monday morning, Time magazine released its latest cover, which featured Vice President Kamala Harris, the Democratic Party’s 2024 presidential nominee, in a pose seemingly designed to convey statesmanlike gravitas.

On the social media platform X, supporters of former President Donald Trump — as well as other honest observers — marveled at the establishment media’s pro-Harris “propaganda” and cult-like “worship” of a notorious buffoon.

Time shamelessly peddled its cover as “The reintroduction of Kamala Harris.” It did this despite the fact that she already has served four unimpressive years as vice president.

Kamala Harris’s Competency Makeover, Magic or Media Manipulation?

Vice President Kamala Harris’s recent transformation from second fiddle to president Biden into a competent “joyful warrior” for the Democratic Party is a classic example of big media and big tech creating reality.

But how much of the glowing headlines, inclusive puff pieces and fawning coverage is rooted in reality and how much of it is simply talking points downloaded from the Democratic National Committee?

While it’s no secret that mainstream media have been openly aligned against Donald Trump since before he was elected president in 2016, the pro-Harris narrative-building is becoming too obvious to ignore.

WH press sec says Biden supports Trump’s No Tax on Tips policy now that Kamala has stolen it

The Biden White House has said that it supports Donald Trump’s No Tax on Tips policy that Kamala Harris recently copied when she went to her campaign rally in Vegas over the weekend.

White House press secretary Karine Jean-Pierre made the comments during a White House briefing in response to a reporter asking about the policy.

Jean-Pierre commented, saying that this is a policy that Biden “supports — eliminating taxes on tips for service and hospitality workers.”

When asked by another reporter if Harris got the idea from Trump, the press secretary laughed off the question, saying that she would not answer for the Harris campaign, adding, “What I can say is this President, this Vice President, have always had the backs of the working people.”

Networks Fawn Over Harris “Momentum”, Still HIDE Walz’s Stolen Valor

The Regime Media continue to do the bidding of their new figurehead, Vice President Kamala Harris, by enabling her lack of press conferences and interviews, fawning over her “momentum”, and continuing to ignore the ongoing scandal surrounding her Democrat running mate Gov. Tim Walz’s military service and subsequent embellishments.

ABC, in firm possession of the title of “Most Harris-sycophantic News Division” now that President Joe Biden is out of the picture, is most emblematic of the media boot-licking on egregious display. A sample, from Senior White House correspondent Selina Wang:

SELINA WANG: Tonight, new battleground polling shows a radically changed race for The White House, with 85 days to go. Vice President Kamala Harris now leading former President Donald Trump in three crucial Rust Belt States, states where Trump and President Biden were virtually tied, with Trump having the edge. Now in Pennsylvania, Michigan, and Wisconsin, Harris leading Trump among likely voters 50 to 46%, within the margin of error. Harris and running mate Minnesota Governor Tim Walz fresh off their first week together, blitzing the battle grounds.

KAMALA HARRIS: We have the momentum and I know exactly what we are up against.

Kamala Harris Will Not Sit with Any Real Journalists, Only ‘a Soft Democrat Interview’

PALM BEACH, Florida — Former President Donald Trump told Breitbart News that his general election opponent, Vice President Kamala Harris, will not agree to an actual real interview at all during the campaign, only “a soft Democrat interview” with someone like ABC’s George Stephanopoulos.

Asked during an hourlong interview at his luxurious seaside resort and club Mar-a-Lago to react to Harris telling reporters that she would schedule an interview by the end of August, Trump said she would only sit down with someone who would ask her easy questions and not someone who would press her on the issues for real.

Trump compared it to how post-debate outgoing Democrat President Joe Biden went to Stephanopoulos — whom Trump calls “Slapadopoulos” — for an easy interview. Stephanopoulos, before he went to work for ABC, of course, worked as a top adviser for former President Bill Clinton, a Democrat.

“She’ll go to a soft Democrat interview like Biden did — he went to Slapadopoulos,” Trump said. “That was the softest interview. I saw him go after Byron Donalds, who’s fantastic. It was vicious the way he went after him. Byron handled it like a fly on your back, just shoved him aside — Byron is very good. Did you see that interview? The viciousness and the way he handled Biden — it was like he was trying to answer the questions for him.”

Harris Campaign Falsely Claims Tim Walz ‘Chaired Veterans Affairs’ as Congressman

The controversies surrounding Democrat vice presidential nominee Tim Walz are continuing to emerge as Kamala Harris’s campaign attempts to inflate the Minnesota governor’s political career.

Walz has been at the center of a growing scandal after multiple allegations of stolen valor have surfaced.

As Walz’s military record comes under scrutiny, the Harris campaign released a statement supporting the vice president’s running mate.

The statement from the Harris campaign points to Walz’s time as a U.S. congressman.

However, the statement falsely claims that during his time in Congress, Walz “chaired Veterans Affairs.”

Walz spent over a decade in the House before he was elected governor.

The ATF’s ban on pistol-brace-equipped firearms has hit another wall in court.

On Friday, a panel on the Eight Circuit Court of Appeals ruled two-to-one that the agency violated the Administrative Procedure Act (APA) when trying to reclassify the guns. The majority found the rule, imposed at the request of President Joe Biden, exceeded the ATF’s authority under federal law. It determined the agency’s rule was simply too vague to stand.

“[T]he Final Rule makes it ‘nigh impossible for a regular citizen to determine what constitutes a braced pistol, and … whether a specified braced pistol requires NFA registration,’” Judge L. Steven Grasz wrote for the majority in FRAC v. Garland. “For those reasons, the Final Rule is arbitrary and capricious.”

The ruling puts the ATF and Biden Administration further on the back foot when it comes to their effort to expand gun restrictions through unilateral federal lawmaking. The brace ban, which potentially impacts millions of American gun owners, has already been blocked by several other federal courts in the year and a half since it was adopted. The brace ban’s prospects were further dashed when the bump stock ban, which was implemented under the Trump Administration via similar federal rulemaking, was struck down by the Supreme Court in June’s Cargill v. Garland.

Judge Grasz specifically referenced that Supreme Court decision in his opinion. He argued the same standard of review should apply in both cases.

Representatives of a citizen advocacy group were blindsided by an effort to invalidate voter-backed initiatives for the November ballot that made it all the way to the Washington State Supreme Court without anyone informing them.

On Friday, a reporter who happened to be looking at the case docket asked Let’s Go Washington for a comment about the group’s initiatives being challenged at the high court, which came as a total surprise to the organization. In an exclusive interview with The Ari Hoffman Show on Talk Radio 570 KVI, Brian Heywood of Let’s Go Washington called the effort to challenge the initiatives “very hush, hush.”

This November, voters will decide on the initiatives that would repeal the state’s capital gains tax, repeal a carbon tax that has spiked gas prices, allow residents to opt out of the state’s long-term care program, and prevent state and local governments from banning natural gas. Let’s Go Washington and volunteers gathered millions of signatures to qualify the measures for the ballot.

Alvin Bragg’s office faces lawsuit over records related to Trump prosecution

A lawsuit was filed Tuesday against Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg‘s office, alleging the elected Democrat illegally withheld records related to the felony hush money case against former President Donald Trump.

The complaint, filed by the conservative group America First Legal, was prompted by Bragg’s repeated denials of AFL’s Freedom of Information Law requests, which sought communications between Bragg’s office, the Biden administration, and other parties potentially involved in what AFL described as the “partisan persecution” of Trump, the Republican presidential nominee.

“There should be nothing to hide,” AFL Vice President Daniel Epstein said in a statement. “If improper ex parte communications influenced what is supposed to be nonpartisan prosecutorial conduct, all Americans are at risk.”

Tim Walz pick excites hopes of taking US healthcare beyond Obamacare era

When Kamala Harris picked the Minnesota governor, Tim Walz, as veep for the Democratic presidential ticket, advocates for healthcare reform felt a jolt of electricity.

Here, they saw a man who proclaimed healthcare a “basic human right”, reformed medical debt collections, and who laid the groundwork for expanded government insurance and denied corporate health insurers contracts with Medicaid, a state-run health insurance program for the poor. Walz even once joined Harris at an abortion clinic in support of abortion rights.

It was a sense of possibility some had not felt since the Obama era, and hard for some to contain their excitement.

“We’re celebrating here at the cabin,” said the Democratic Minnesota state representative Liz Reyer, who helped Walz pass a medical debt collection reform bill in 2023. She was on vacation in northern Wisconsin, sipping coffee next to her sleeping dog – a quiet, midwestern kind of celebration. Reyer felt compelled to stress “how absolutely strongly I was pulling for Governor Walz to be the VP pick”.
