They tow, they go off-road, they take long road trips. These vehicles have worse aerodynamics, and they’re very heavy, which means very large and expensive batteries.”

The posts by the Army closely echo a memo by Secretary of Defense Pete Hegseth, circulated on February 7.
“Effective immediately, all new accessions for individuals with a history of gender dysphoria are paused,” wrote Hegseth. “All unscheduled, scheduled, or planned medical procedures associated with affirming or facilitating a gender transition for Service members are paused.”
While pro-transgender activists claim there are currently 15,000 military members who claim that they are “transgender” – out of a total 1.3 million active duty personnel – officials say that the actual number is a fraction of that.
During his inauguration speech, President Trump promised that the federal government would only acknowledge two sexes – male and female – while vowing to “defeat the toxic poison of gender ideology.”
Trump then signed an executive order on Day One of his presidency, rescinding a Biden administration executive order that had allowed gender-confused people to join the military.
As reported earlier by LifeSiteNews, the Biden order made it “the policy of the United States to ensure that all [so-called] transgender individuals who wish to serve in the United States military and can meet the appropriate standards shall be able to do so openly” and without alleged “discrimination.”
The Biden order revoked President Trump’s first-term decision to prohibit gender-confused individuals from enlisting in the military.
As commander-in-chief of the Armed Forces of the United States, on January 27, Trump ordered the Pentagon to craft a policy to ensure the readiness and effectiveness of the Armed Forces, which included addressing the issue of gender-confused individuals in the military.
“The United States military has a clear mission: to protect the American people and our homeland as the world’s most lethal and effective fighting force,” wrote Trump. “Success in this existential mission requires a singular focus on developing the requisite warrior ethos, and the pursuit of military excellence cannot be diluted to accommodate political agendas or other ideologies harmful to unit cohesion.”
“Recently, however, the Armed Forces have been afflicted with radical gender ideology to appease activists unconcerned with the requirements of military service like physical and mental health, selflessness, and unit cohesion,” he explained. It is the longstanding policy of the Department of Defense (DoD) “to ensure that service members are ‘[f]ree of medical conditions or physical defects that may reasonably be expected to require excessive time lost from duty for necessary treatment or hospitalization.’”
As a result, many mental and physical health conditions are incompatible with active duty, from conditions that require substantial medication or medical treatment to bipolar and related disorders, eating disorders, suicidality, and prior psychiatric hospitalization.
Consistent with the military mission and longstanding DoD policy, expressing a false “gender identity” divergent from an individual’s sex cannot satisfy the rigorous standards necessary for military service. Beyond the hormonal and surgical medical interventions involved, adoption of a gender identity inconsistent with an individual’s sex conflicts with a soldier’s commitment to an honorable, truthful, and disciplined lifestyle, even in one’s personal life. A man’s assertion that he is a woman, and his requirement that others honor this falsehood, is not consistent with the humility and selflessness required of a service member.
For the sake of our Nation and the patriotic Americans who volunteer to serve it, military service must be reserved for those mentally and physically fit for duty. The Armed Forces must adhere to high mental and physical health standards to ensure our military can deploy, fight, and win, including in austere conditions and without the benefit of routine medical treatment or special provisions.

Although a federal judge found in favor of Kloosterman, allowing her lawsuit to proceed, Michigan Health appealed the case by invoking its right to use arbitration as a way to fight against Kloosterman. The memo passed 46 to 24 in the House and is heading to the Idaho Senate. If it passes the senate, it will be sent on to the Supreme Court as one more formal encouragement that it take up a case that might overturn Obergefell.
The memo excoriates the “illegitimate overreach” in Obergefell, arguing that the decision redefined marriage in direct opposition to its natural, age-old definition, one also enshrined in Idaho’s state constitution.
The argument might seem 10 years late, but it comes at a time when — after the 2022 repeal of Roe v. Wade and the reinstallation of Trump — the Supreme Court might be receptive to such a call.
Back in 2020, sitting justices Clarence Thomas and Samuel Alito argued that the Obergefell decision should be overturned — or at least fixed. The justices agreed that Obergefell had no basis at all in the 14th Amendment. The decision functions as law, overriding state and previous federal law to redefine the essence of marriage in a manner at odds with all major religions on earth. Obergefell rode rough-shod over these religions and dozens of state constitutions on the bases of a moral — not legal — opinion that the traditional definition of marriage espouses “a bigoted worldview,” at the dissenting opinion described it.

Public schools join the CIF. Representatives of California’s Department of Education sit on its board by charter. School board members make up its board. Many sponsors are federal grantees. CIF received Covid money. Schools in the CIF receive federal funds for disabled students and free-reduced school lunches, among many other things. These schools are sponsoring boys to participate in girls’ sports—and state authority abets it.
Not every school in CIF receives federal funds, though. Tucked in at the border of Saint Francis Woods’ historic neighborhood and residential West Portal lies the tony San Francisco Waldorf School. This mostly white and Asian school uses the Waldorf educational style, a progressive system developed by the Austrian occultist and clairvoyant Rudolf Steiner.

AP reports trade between the U.S. and Germany, which has Europe’s biggest economy, ticked up 0.1 percent compared with $264.3 billion in 2023, Germany’s Federal Statistical Office said.
Trade with China, which was Germany’s biggest trading partner every year from 2016 to 2023, dropped 3.1 percent to 246.3 billion euros.
The Netherlands took third place with a total trade volume of 205.7 billion euros, a 4.2 percent drop.
The AP report notes Germany hasn’t seen significant economic growth in five years. The country for years expanded exports and dominated world trade in engineered products like industrial machinery and luxury cars.
An energy foundation linked to Chinese Communist Party officials has poured $630,000 into four American universities for “clean energy” projects, according to a new report.
The University of California Berkeley, the University of California Los Angeles, the University of Maryland, and Harvard University all received a portion of $630,000 from the Energy Foundation, according to a Washington Free Beaconanalysis.
The foundation opened in San Francisco decades ago but split into an American group and a Chinese group. The Energy Foundation China did not respond to an email on Friday seeking comment on the report and what it hopes to achieve with its grants. The Free Beacon identified a handful of foundation executives tied to the CCP, including CEO Ji Zou.
However, UC Berkeley said the money does not influence academic freedom.
“UC Berkeley has strict protocols and policies that protect the independence of university researchers, as well as their academic freedom,” Assistant Vice Chancellor for Executive Communications Dan Mogulof told The College Fix via email. “The terms in UC Berkeley’s research contracts reserve decision-making authority and freedom to publish for the university.”

That broken record syndrome continues with last night’s 60 Minutes segment on the federal workers who were fired by the spending cuts initiated by President Donald Trump. It took the Department of Government Efficiency little time to erase the pork hub that was USAID. Those workers spoke about how their lives were shattered when the agency closed.
It was already an atrocious segment, as if these people were the only ones who had ever lost their job. Those poor government workers who lost their jobs, wasting our taxpayer dollars, aren’t going to gin up sympathy, but it gets better: these two workers technically weren’t even USAID workers. They were communications specialists:
