In an ongoing climate of political violence, you would think that the legacy nightly news would devote significant air time to a threat to assassinate a senior member of the Cabinet. But, alas, that did not happen. CBS and ABC both omitted the story from their evening newscasts.

KELLY O’DONNELL: Tonight, a disturbing threat discovered by a scrolling tiktok user. A post that offered tens of thousands of dollars to kill Attorney General Pam Bondi. A 29-year-old Minnesota man, Tyler Maxon Avalos, now faces one federal charge for transmitting that threat that investigators tracked on social media. According to the FBI, a TikTok post linked to Avalos read in part: “Wanted. Pam Bondi, preferably dead,” and referred to a reward of $45,000. Court documents include an image which we are not showing, with a photo of Bondi with a sniper’s scope red dot on Bondi’s forehead. TikTok, Google and Comcast, parent company of NBC, helped the FBI trace the suspect, according to the affidavit, which also states Avalos has a criminal history, convicted of stalking and domestic battery. Bondi declined comment, but has pledged the DoJ will root out threats in this heated environment.

The anti-science, DNC-serving (allegedly) site Phys.org is raising alarms about the rise of “far right” communities in rural areas that are in some way, shape, or form, self-sustaining. The article “Far right extremists are setting up rural enclaves around the world” warns, “Close-knit networks and insular communities, which can characterize these projects, have been shown to play a role in deep ideological entrenchment. This can mean the ideology of these communities can become deeply ingrained within its members.”
MIA would not endorse any completely self-isolating and violence-justifying communities; however, the overwhelming majority of these communities are a threat to phys.org because self-sustainability is immunity from the party’s favorite soft power weapon, economic assassination. The fact that they are noticing meaning the “movement” is further along than we had hoped it was.

The Trump administration announced Wednesday that a group of far-right media outlets have been given press access to the Pentagon.
The announcement comes a week after actual journalists staged a walkout and refused to sign on to new rules that require all reporting to be pre-approved by Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth. Even Fox News stood against the new rules.
The October 16 poll from Trafalgar showed Democrat Abigail Spanberger had only a two-point lead over her Republican challenger, incumbent Lt. Governor Winsome Earle-Sears. Trafalgar was the closest in polling for the 2024 election, with their final poll being 0.01 points off from the actual election results.
With that in mind, we have to wonder if the Democrats aren’t a little concerned about this race. A recent panel on MSNBC seems to think Spanberger is struggling, although they totally miss the reasons why Spanberger might be in trouble.

It’s why liberals were so mad about this move made at the network. Its staffers were going to be forced to report on what actually happens. The head of CBS News’ standards and practices unit — who presided over some of the network’s recent controversial, woke reporting — is out as new boss Bari Weiss looks to bring more balance to the left-leaning network.
Claudia Milne, who ran the division responsible for the moral, ethical and legal implications of CBS programming, is the first senior executive to leave the network since Weiss arrived as editor in chief earlier this month.
Although Milne’s job had been “slowly phased out,” a CBS source called her departure “significant.”
“She was part of the woke mob at CBS News. It shows an editorial shift in how CBS will operate,” the person said, speculating that “this is Bari’s first scalp.”
For many years now, CBS News’ 60 Minutes has served as a clear-cut example of left-wing media propaganda. So, it wasn’t completely shocking when the program ran to a discredited ex-Justice Department official to trash the Trump administration amid its ongoing legal battles.
This past weekend’s episode included a sit-down interview with Erez Reuveni, who served as acting deputy director for the Office of Immigration Litigation until early April, when he was suspended and subsequently fired for failing to “zealously advocate on behalf of the United States” in court, according to Attorney General Pam Bondi. As The Federalist previously reported, his dismissal purportedly centered around his conduct in the DOJ’s efforts to deport Salvadoran national Kilmar Abrego Garcia, a credibly accused wife-beater and MS-13 gang member.
New York Times reporter Anemona Hartocollis blamed Republicans for the supposed suppression of free speech on campus lately – as in, why aren’t pro-Hamas campus activists able to disrupt classes, occupy buildings, and harass Jewish students — in Tuesday’s “What Happened to Campus Activism Against the War in Gaza?”
The war in Gaza was started by Hamas when they invaded Israel and killed or kidnapped over 1,000 Israeli civilians. But there was no attempt at balance. The only quoted material came in support of the pro-Hamas campus activists, with no dissenters from the one-sided tone.
Pro-Palestinian demonstrations swept through campuses across the country in the spring of 2024, leading to the arrests of more than 3,100 people. But in the more than a year and a half since, the protests have dissipated, even as the war in Gaza intensified.
Why the shift?
A major factor is the strict crackdown that universities waged on student protesters who built encampments on college campuses, beginning with Columbia and spreading across the country.
After federal agents raided an apartment building in Chicago to arrest Tren de Aragua gang members, MSNBC personalities repeatedly spread the fake news that agents zip-tied children. And, even though no one died in the raid, they also promoted hyperbolic comparisons to the Gestapo, the Tulsa killings of 1921, and the MOVE Philadelphia bombing of 1985.
Fox News not only highlighted DHS’s fact check that debunks Democrat misinformation on the subject, but Fox reporters also informed viewers that most of those living in the building were illegal squatters.
Trump held a White House event late on Friday afternoon, supposedly about drug prices, that, if it were covered by an objective media that was complicit and collaborating with the current administration, would sound alarm bells about whether any Democratic president ever sounded as incoherent as Donald Trump did.
The video can be easily glossed over, especially when someone has told as many lies and babbled as many words as Donald Trump has over the past decade, but transcripts of the words that the man actually puts together are more revealing.

Fifty years ago, an Amanpour type would have greeted American POWs coming out of Vietnam by suggesting our tortured POWs were “probably treated better than the average Vietnamese.”
In a CNN News Central special, anchor Kaitlan Collins asked about Western journalists being denied access to covering Gaza, which cued Amanpour to lecture:

And I pretty much can assure you that one, that once those I those doors are opened, it will be a scene of absolute, abject horror.
Disney’s late-night funnyman Jimmy Kimmel said he didn’t see what the “problem” was with his comments about slain conservative icon and free speech martyr Charlie Kirk, and blamed “right-wing media networks” for the backlash he received, claiming conservative reporters “intentionally” and “maliciously mischaracterized” his controversial remarks.
“I didn’t think there was a big problem, You know? I just saw it as distortion on the part of some of the right-wing media networks, and I aimed to correct it,” Kimmel said of his comments about Kirk’s assassination during a Wednesday interview with Bloomberg’s Lucas Shaw for Bloomberg Screentime.
“Sometimes you think, ‘Oh, this is not a problem,’ and then it turns into a big problem, and then sometimes it goes the other way, where you think, ‘Uh oh, this is going to be a problem,’ and then nobody really notices.”
One of Donald Trump’s defining traits as a human being is constant neediness. There has never been a president who needed as much praise and support as Donald Trump. Trump is in many ways the ultimate fragile snowflake.
The current president seems to have no convictions or core principles. He needs to fill that void inside himself by getting applause from others.

Former Secretary of State Antony Blinken is under fire for attempting to “steal” credit for the Trump-negotiated 20-point peace deal between Israel and Gaza, which secured the release of all living Israeli hostages who were abducted by Hamas during the October 7 attacks and brought an end to the two-year conflict.
In a lengthy X post, Blinken argued that the ceasefire was only made possible due to previous efforts undertaken by the Biden Administration. The former secretary noted that key regional partners like Turkey and Qatar have said “enough” to Hamas, adding that Iran-backed groups like Hezbollah in Lebanon and the Houthis in Yemen have been effectively de-fanged.

Major CBS, ABC, PBS Shows Silent on Jay Jones Scandal

Over the course of the five days after the controversy broke, major CBS, ABC, and PBS broadcast shows refused to discuss Democrat Jay Jones’ violent text messages in which he fantasized about assassinating a political opponent, a new analysis revealed.
NBC alone dedicated a mere 63 seconds to the Virginia attorney general candidates’ texts, Media Research Center’s study of major NBC, ABC, CBS, and PBS segments revealed. The analysis included the shows ABC World News Tonight, CBS Evening News, NBC Nightly News, ABC’s Good Morning America, CBS Mornings, CBS Saturday Morning, CBS Sunday Morning, NBC Today, NBC Sunday Today, ABC’s This Week, NBC’s Meet the Press, CBS’s Face the Nation, and PBS’s NewsHour. MRC analyzed the programs from Friday, the day the National Review broke the story about Jones’ messages, through Tuesday morning.
National Review revealed messages Jones sent to a former colleague in 2022 in which he said, “Put Gilbert in the crew with the two worst people you know and he receives both bullets every time.” The hypothetical Jones proposed put Gilbert on par with Hitler and Pol Pot.

On Wednesday, the Trump administration held a roundtable with journalists who have been documenting and reporting Antifa activity specifically in the United States for at least a decade. President Trump and key leaders within his administration attended this meeting to hear first-hand accounts of the violence and mayhem caused by members of this group, but for CNN’s Erin Burnett, Antifa barely exists and “right-wing extremists” are worse.
Burnett played a clip of DHS Secretary Kristi Noem discussing Antifa networks, saying that it’s “just as sophisticated as MS-13, as TDA, as ISIS, as Hezbollah, as Hamas, as all of them.” Burnett was incredulous, indicating that Hamas was more legitimate since they’ve been engaged in a two-year war against Israel. Hamas’ efforts have been supported on American and international streets by Antifa, but Burnett didn’t mention that.
“And ISIS? These are incredible things to say,” Burnett said with a smirk. “And obviously I’m not going to sit here and defend anybody who considered themselves part of an Antifa movement, such that it is, but ‘such that it is’ is the operative part of that sentence. Antifa is far from a major sophisticated terror organization like Hezbollah, Hamas, or ISIS. In fact,” she went on, “it’s not even like far-right groups like The Proud Boys or Oathkeepers, which have national leaders like Antifa.”
“There is no organized hierarchy to the group,” Burnett went on. “And according to the Center for Strategic and International Studies, compared to right-wing extremists, Antifa-linked violence is rare and limited.” A study from the Center for Strategic and International Studies in September reads “2025 marks the first time in more than 30 years that left-wing terrorist attacks outnumber those from the violent far right.”
Masked, armed law enforcement agents who regularly violate the law and strip people of their constitutional rights is nothing new in America. They have, in fact, a long and well-documented history, including states — after years of abuse by masked men — passing laws specifically to prevent them from concealing their identities when performing law enforcement operations.
In this era, we call them Immigration and Customs Enforcement agents; during the late 19th and early to mid-20th centuries they called themselves the Ku Klux Klan. They often operated with the blessing of both federal and state governments, deputized and given badges and guns, and “enforced the law” while wearing their famous white hoods to conceal their individual identities.
ICE operates today with a level of anonymity, impunity and intimidation that closely parallels the Ku Klux Klan’s tactics as masked, semi-official enforcers in the late 19th and early 20th centuries. Both used legal or quasi-legal authority, masked identities and violent or coercive tactics to carry out their missions, all without individual accountability while targeting vulnerable minorities and subverting legal norms to do so.
