Russia has sent a heavily armed warship close to a NATO island in the Baltic Sea.

The ship is fortified with cruise and hypersonic missiles and has been deployed to a German island, according to reports from The Telegraph.

The frigate is equipped with nuclear-capable Zircon hypersonic missiles and was seen last week off the coast of the island of Fehmarn after the Kremlin threatened to attack British and EU vessels. Fehmarn is a popular tourist spot.

The ship, the Admiral Kasatonov, was built in 2020 and is reported to be one of the most advanced warships in Russia possession. It is capable of long-range strikes as well as anti-submarine warfare.

The movement in the warship in the Baltic, a vital shipping zone, marks the latest tensions between Russia and NATO.

The memorandum of understanding with Iran was initially signed in June at the Palace of Versailles in France, as Trump was wrapping up his attendance at the G7 summit. The agreement was meant to “instantly reopen” the Strait of Hormuz and“immediately lift” the U.S. naval blockade on all Iranian vessels.

But the 60-day deadline passed without either side agreeing on how to end the Iran war that began on Feb. 28.

On Monday, Trump signaled that no extension of the agreement would occur, although the ceasefire had already fallen apart between the two sides.

“Look, we’re in there for one reason: Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, you understand that?” Trump told reporters while speaking in the Oval Office. “Iran cannot have a nuclear weapon, and they won’t have a nuclear weapon.”

He also told Fox News yesterday he has “no time schedule” and is “not in a hurry” to negotiate with Iran.

The ban can also apply to citizens who have “participated in illegal activities” or “threatened national security and interests” while abroad.

The new articles also state that Chinese citizens can be prohibited from leaving the country if they “violate” regulations on the import and export of technology, and if these violations endanger China’s “industrial or technological security”.

A powerful 7.7-magnitude earthquake struck Indonesia’s eastern region this weekend, killing at least 53 people and triggering nearly 1,000 aftershocks.

In July, Trump and the Justice Department asked the Supreme Court to overturn an $83 million (€71 million) defamation verdict won by writer Carroll.

Carroll testified twice before New York juries that Trump sexually assaulted her in a dressing room at a department store in 1996. The former journalist and columnist first made the allegations public in a 2019 memoir.

Trump has repeatedly denied any wrongdoing.

Treasury yields rose on Tuesday, with long-dated fixed income hitting their highest level in more than two decades amid a worsening U.S. fiscal situation and persistently higher inflation.

The yield on the U.S. 30-year Treasury added more than 1 basis point to trade at 5.323%%, nearing the highest level since 2002.

The 10-year Treasury note yield — the main benchmark for mortgages, auto loans and credit card debt — was less than 1 basis point higher at 4.732%.

The yield on the 2-year Treasury note, which typically reacts in line with short-term Federal Reserve interest rate decisions, edged up less than a basis point to 4.186%.

One basis point equals 0.01%, and yields and prices move inversely to one another.

The moves follow news that the U.S. fiscal deficit jumped to $432.3 billion in July, its highest monthly total since March 2021, pushing the year-to-date shortfall to nearly $1.8 trillion. Interest paid to finance the nearly $40 trillion national debt has cost the government about $1.2 trillion this year.
