On June 10, 2025, a former student who did not graduate walked into the BORG Dreierschützengasse high school in Graz, Austri and shot 22 people, injuring 11 and killing 11. He would then kill himself in the school bathroom. He was 21. His victims were aged 14-17 among the students. One teacher was also killed.

As of right now, no motive for the shootings has been released, though some rumors suggest he might have been bullied. Austria has lax gun laws compared to many nations, but one provision would not meet the constitutional standard in America.
