The House Oversight Committee is seeking answers from top Biden administration officials—including the 46th president’s doctor—about Joe Biden’s apparent mental decline while in office and his staff’s use of an “autopen” to put his signature on official documents.
The investigation on Capitol Hill deepens days after leaked audio of the then-president’s interview with special counsel Robert Hur and Biden’s announcement of an advanced prostate cancer diagnosis.
House Oversight and Government Reform Committee Chairman James Comer, R-Ky., sent a letter Wednesday to five former Biden administration officials, calling them to appear before the committee for transcribed interviews.
“The cover-up of President Biden’s obvious mental decline is a historic scandal,” Comer said in a statement.
Biden’s own Cabinet said he was “on top of his game.”
Now Jake Tapper cashes in and says they privately admitted he was “disoriented,” “out of it,” and kept away from them.

There can be no doubt now that the past four years contained arguably the most egregious cover-up in the history of American politics.
The term “soft coup” is probably more appropriate than cover-up, as the latter implies insiders were privy to information the general public was not. But any nonpartisan observer could see that from the very beginning of his 2020 presidential run, Joe Biden was not fully in command of his mental faculties. It only got worse from there until the curtain was lifted in front of the entire world on the debate stage in June 2024.
Yet even though we could clearly see the president mentally collapsing, those inside his administration and the dutifully pliant propaganda press tried to convince us that this man who wandered off aimlessly in the middle of photo ops with world leaders, meandered into the Amazon, and inquired if a deceased congresswoman was present at a conference was in reality a whirlwind who was energetic and on top of things. “I can’t even keep up with him!” claimed then-Press Secretary Karine Jean-Pierre.
This is not the first time a president has been incapacitated due to mental decline. Woodrow Wilson suffered a debilitating stroke 17 months before leaving office. In shades of Dr. Jill Biden, First Lady Edith Wilson acted as de facto president in her husband’s stead. Unlike today, however, there were far fewer press outlets in 1919, so Wilson’s condition was successfully buried by a complicit media. Old habits die hard, it seems.
Several vulnerable House Democrats representing swing districts held intimate meetings with former president Joe Biden at the White House during the same timeframe his senior aides were hard at work concealing his rapidly deteriorating mental acuity from the public. Most of those Democrats had nothing to say about Biden’s fitness to serve—even after his disastrous debate performance.
That includes Rep. Vicente Gonzalez (D., Texas), who participated in three meetings with Biden at the White House in 2023 and 2024, including an eight-person meeting with the former president on June 4, 2024, archived visitor logs show. Biden’s rapidly deteriorating mental acuity was evident to the public and became impossible for the Democratic Party to ignore following his disastrous debate performance in late June. But Gonzalez told a different story to the public following his intimate meetings with the president.
Gonzalez praised Biden’s mental acuity in a Feb. 2024 statement, saying the former president “still seems pretty sharp and focused on the task of the day.” And later, in July, Gonzalez attacked the first House Democrat to call on Biden to drop his reelection bid, saying it was “ironic” that the elderly Rep. Lloyd Doggett (D., Texas) had lost faith in Biden’s fitness to serve following his debate against Trump.
“We have a 77-year-old asking an 81-year-old not to run,” said Gonzalez, who represents a toss-up district in southern Texas. “I really believe folks are jumping the gun.”
Until Democrats start naming names and apologizing for their reckless, craven conduct as it relates to Joe Biden, I don’t want to hear another word about Pete Hegseth’s Signal chats.
It was fine timing to get news over the weekend that the former president, a well established dotard, has an advanced and aggressive form of prostate cancer that has reached his bones. There’s a strong likelihood that Biden was diagnosed with some stage of the disease before he was even elected president, and he almost certainly had it while in office. Yet the public knew nothing until Sunday.
Prayers up for Biden, but this is an appalling scandal. And it comes just as the dying news media are finally acknowledging that, yeah, Biden’s brain was rapidly browning over as he sat in the Oval Office, where he was losing track of space and time as the commander of the United States military, the point person for nuclear war.
Recall that now-Republican Rep. Ronnie Jackson, when he was serving as Donald Trump’s first-term White House physician in 2018, rendered a medical summary on the president that more or less described Trump as in good health, if a little overweight and in need of some exercise. The dying media questioned him for an hour at a press conference. They were sure that Jackson was deceiving the public by not divulging some mental affliction that would have affirmed their feverish desire to see Trump removed from office by way of the 25th Amendment.
Vice President JD Vance called Supreme Court Chief Justice John Roberts’s comment that the role of the judiciary branch is to check both the executive and legislative branches of government “profoundly wrong.”
Speaking withNew York Times columnist Ross Douthat, Vance was asked about court cases that have hampered the Trump administration’s deportation efforts.
“I saw an interview with Chief Justice Roberts recently where he said the role of the court is to check the excesses of the executive,” Vance said. “I thought that was a profoundly wrong sentiment.”
Chief Justice John Roberts said earlier this month that the high court’s role is to “check the excesses of Congress or the executive” as an independent and coequal branch of government.
Vance disagrees.
“That’s one-half of his job,” Vance said on Douthat’s podcast. “The other half of his job is to check the excesses of his own branch.”
On Sunday night, right-wing podcast host Clint Russell took to X to accuse the Democrats of forging an “evil” plan to get Biden elected into office and strategically drop out because of his diagnosis, to pave the way for Kamala Harris to take the reins.
The former President was diagnosed with an “aggressive” prostate cancer on Friday, according to a spokesperson on his behalf.
“So the plan was to run Biden, lie about his cancer and dementia, get him back in the WH, and then have him immediately step aside so Kamala’s reign of terror could begin.
“All while trying to jail or kill DJT. Just making sure we’re all on the same page, here. These people are evil,” the Liberty Lockdown podcaster scorned on X.
Joe Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer before last week and previously had a blood test for the disease 11 years ago, a spokesperson for the former US president said Tuesday.
The statement came after Biden’s successor, President Donald Trump, fueled claims of a cover-up by saying that he was “surprised” the public was not told about the cancer earlier.
Biden’s office announced on Sunday that the 82-year-old had been diagnosed with an aggressive form of prostate cancer, a few days after a nodule was found on the gland.
“President Biden’s last known PSA was in 2014,” a Biden spokesperson said in a statement to AFP.
“Prior to Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer.”
On May 18, former President Joe Biden’s staff announced he has an aggressive form of prostate cancer. In response, several social media users began circulating a three-year-old video clip of Biden as evidence that he knew about his diagnosis years before.
“WOW: Joe Biden said literally over TWO YEARS AGO that he had cancer. The Biden regime at the time called it a ‘gaffe.’ Have they been covering this up for YEARS?” one user posted May 18 on X.
Other prominentconservativecommentators including Donald Trump Jr. shared similar posts about the 2022 speech and a cover-up. Biden’s prostate cancer diagnosis overlaps with the release of the book “Original Sin: President Biden’s Decline, Its Cover-Up, and His Disastrous Choice to Run Again,” by journalists Jake Tapper and Alex Thompson, about how Biden’s inner circle worked to conceal signs of decline.
The viral clip comes from July 20, 2022, remarks Biden delivered in Somerset, Massachusetts, about climate change and clean energy. But, according to a White House spokesperson at the time, Biden’s comments referenced the removal before his presidency of several non-melanoma skin cancers, disclosed in the president’s 2021 health report summary. We found no evidence that Biden’s spokesperson or others from the White House called the comments a “gaffe.”
Former ‘President’ Joe Biden has prostate cancer. It’s not in its early stages either—it’s stage four. It’s metastasized to his bones. And we’re supposed to believe that no one knew or ever tested for this during his time as president? The Biden health care cover-up got worse. WASHINGTON — The revelation that former President Biden has advanced prostate cancer generated more questions than answers on Monday, prompting debate among experts in the oncology community over the likely progression of his disease and resurfacing concerns in Washington over his decision last year to run for reelection.
Biden’s private office said Sunday afternoon that he had been diagnosed earlier in the week with an “aggressive form” of the cancer that had already spread to his bones, after urinary symptoms led to the discovery of a nodule on his prostate.
But it was not made clear whether Biden, 82, had been testing his prostate-specific antigens, known as PSA levels, during his presidency — and if so whether those results had indicated an elevated risk of cancer while he was still in office or during his campaign for reelection.
With all of the news surrounding former President Joe Biden over the weekend and into this week, his term as president is coming under considerable scrutiny. Discussion of the administration’s heavy use of the autopen is making a comeback, with “Autopen” trending over X this week. President Donald Trump himself has spoken up about it, in a post over TruthSocial, but also in the Oval Office when speaking to reporters on Tuesday.
As Jeff covered, the president made quite the claim, which is that Biden wasn’t even for open borders, a low mark of his administration, but rather that that was whoever was in charge.

9/22. Dementia Joe mutilates The Pledge of Allegiance- During a campaign speech on Monday, Biden attempted to quote the Pledge of Allegiance and delivered a mutilated version of it. Biden’s errors were not done on purpose but were more likely a result of his worsening Dementia. Beyond disagreeing with Biden on most issues, the fact that he is losing his cognitive ability makes the thought of him in the White House extremely frightening.

Was this another brain freeze? With Biden failing mental facilities, how can we be sure? Perhaps Dementia Joe gave the 180-year response and realized it was wrong as he said it and giggled out of embarrassment. He also said he was Vice President for ten years.
10/13 Joe Biden’s Dementia Particularly Evident On Monday. If Trump made half the errors that Joe did in a single day, the media’s cries for the 25th Amendment would be deafening. Along with the socialist leanings of the Democrats who seem to control his policies, Columbus Day was a particularly frightening day for those who see Joe Biden’s Dementia as another reason he should never be elected President.
With the recent revelation that on top of his senility, Joe Biden also has a fatal diagnosis of Stage 4 cancer, it is useful to remember that his famed cancer research charity never actually did any cancer research and spent ALL its millions on salaries for the people running the fake charity.
The story broke back in November of 2020 when the New York Post reported that tax filing showed that more than $4 million was spent on those running the charity and not a penny went to the research they claimed to be pursuing.
The Biden Cancer Initiative was founded in 2017 by the former vice president and his wife, Jill Biden, to “develop and drive implementation of solutions to accelerate progress in cancer prevention, detection, diagnosis, research and care and to reduce disparities in cancer outcomes,” according to its IRS mission statement. But it gave out no grants in its first two years, and spent millions on the salaries of former Washington, DC, aides it hired.
The charity took in $4,809,619 in contributions in fiscal years 2017 and 2018, and spent $3,070,301 on payroll in those two years. The group’s president, Gregory Simon, raked in $429,850 in fiscal 2018 (July 1, 2018, to June 30, 2019), according to the charity’s most recent federal tax filings.
Joe Biden hadn’t received a commonly used blood test to check for prostate cancer for more than a decade before his recent diagnosis, the former president’s office said Tuesday amid questions about his health while in the White House.
Biden last received a prostate-specific antigen test to screen for prostate cancer in 2014, according to a brief statement.
“Prior to Friday, President Biden had never been diagnosed with prostate cancer,” it said.
The statement came as President Donald Trump and his allies have challenged the timing of the diagnosis, which came as Biden faced questions about his health with the release of a book asserting that aides worked to hide his physical and mental decline while in office.

We wish former President Biden the best. I pray for his recovery. Honestly, I hope that Jill plans to go to confession and admit that she loved the title of First Lady a lot more than being a devoted wife. My guess is there a lot of ladies in the country who can’t believe her disregard for Joe Biden’s health and well-being. Again, she loved the title and staff.
And now there is prostate cancer:

His team said the cancer had been graded a Gleason score of 9, suggesting his form was among the most aggressive.
A handful of medical experts were quick to question how the former president could be diagnosed at such a late stage — especially given that prostate cancer can be detected early with routine bloodwork, which is recommended for men over the age of 50.
A group of top medical experts is casting doubt on the timing of recent somber news involving Joe Biden’s diagnosis of aggressive prostate cancer. The cancer, it was reported on Sunday, has metastasized to his bones.
Without diminishing the seriousness of the situation or deflecting from the well-wishes sent to the former President and his family, a group of doctors spoke about the news on social media. And they don’t seem to be buying into the narrative that this is recent news within Biden’s inner circle.
Dr. Howie Forman, a professor of radiology and biomedical imaging, public health management and economics at Yale, finds it “inconceivable” that this aggressive cancer was not being followed before Biden left office.
Forman indicated that the cancer being at this advanced stage would have been monitored “for some time before this diagnosis.”
