A suspect in the Wednesday fatal shootings of two members of the Israeli Embassy near the Jewish museum in Washington, D.C., has been identified as a Chicago man.

Elias Rodriguez, 31, of Chicago was being held for questioning, authorities said Thursday. He was being interviewed early Thursday by D.C.’s Metropolitan Police Department as well as the FBI, according to officials.

Authorities alleged he walked into the museum after the shooting, was detained by event security and began chanting, “Free, free Palestine,” officials said.

At an address for him on the North Side, police could be seen blocking the street. By 8:15 a.m., a stream of heavily armed men, the letters FBI inscribed on their backs, were seen leaving the apartment building. More agents remained.

Neighbors on the block were startled to open their doors to the sight of federal agents clogging the street. “That’s terrifying,” one woman said when told why they were outside her home.
On Thursday morning, Gov. JB Pritzker said in a statement he was “horrified” to hear of the shooting and disclosed that a member of his staff was attending the event.

World leaders reacted Thursday morning to the killing of two Israeli Embassy staffers outside the Jewish Museum in Washington, D.C., as the Israeli government blamed the attack on “antisemitic incitement” by other countries, “especially from Europe.”

Washington’s chief of police said the suspect in the attack, identified as a Chicago man, shouted “free, free Palestine,” as he was taken into custody.

The victims were identified as a young couple, Sarah Lynn Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky.

“These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA,” President Trump said in a statement on his Truth Social platform. “Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things as this can happen! God Bless You ALL!”

European Union foreign policy chief Kaja Kallas said she was “shocked by the shooting of two Israeli embassy staff in Washington DC.”

JERUSALEM: Israeli Foreign Minister Gideon Saar accused unnamed European officials on Thursday (May 22) of “toxic antisemitic incitement” he blamed for a hostile climate in which the fatal shooting of two Israeli embassy staffers in Washington took place.

Israel has faced a blizzard of criticism from Europe of late as it has intensified its military campaign in Gaza, where humanitarian groups have warned that an 11-week Israeli blockade on aid supplies has left the Palestinian enclave on the brink of famine.

Saar did not name any countries or officials but said the climate of hostility towards Israel was behind the shooting of the embassy staffers Yaron Lischinsky and Sarah Lynn Milgrim outside a Jewish museum in Washington on Wednesday.

Saar, at a news conference in Jerusalem, said the attack was a direct outcome of “toxic antisemitic incitement against Israel and Jews around the world” since Hamas militants’ cross-border attack on Israel in October 2023.

“There is a direct line connecting antisemitic and anti-Israel incitement to this murder,” he said. “This incitement is also done by leaders and officials of many countries and organisations, especially from Europe.”

Last week, a federal grand jury indicted Milwaukee County Circuit Judge Hannah Dugan on two counts stemming from an April incident where witnesses said she helped 30-year-old Mexico native Eduardo Flores-Ruiz, an illegal immigrant, evade an arrest from ICE that would have taken place outside of her courtroom.

As we’ve reported, Dugan allegedly steered Flores-Ruiz and his attorney out of her courtroom, where Flores-Ruiz had been for a pre-trial hearing on three misdemeanor counts of battery, and through the jury doorway instead of the main courtroom door, where members of ICE were waiting outside for his hearing to conclude.

Per the FBI charging document, Dugan stands accused of two U.S. Code violations: “Obstructing or impeding a proceeding before a department or agency of the United States” and “Concealing an individual to prevent his discovery and arrest.”

Dugan has pleaded not guilty. After her indictment, her attorneys filed a motion to dismiss on the grounds that “she is entitled to judicial immunity for her official acts.”

Radical Democrat Rep. Ilhan Omar (D-MN) has refused to condemn the shocking murder of two Israeli Embassy staffers on the streets of Washington, D.C. on Wednesday evening.

Omar was asked for comments about the fatal shooting by reporters.

However, Omar, the first Somalia-born lawmaker elected to Congress, refused to address the fatal shooting and angrily walked away.

“I’m going to go for now,” Omar told reporters when asked if she would react to the shooting.

Trump slammed antisemitic hate and offered condolences to the bereaved. Vance extended his prayers for the victims, Christian Israeli Yaron Lischinsky and his girlfriend Sarah Milgrim, along with their families and co-workers.

On Truth Social, Trump posted, “These horrible D.C. killings, based obviously on antisemitism, must end, NOW! Hatred and Radicalism have no place in the USA. Condolences to the families of the victims. So sad that such things as this can happen! God Bless You ALL!”

Meanwhile, Vance posted a photo of the victims, who were set to be engaged as Yaron had bought an engagement ring, and wrote, “My heart breaks for Sarah Milgrim and Yaron Lischinsky, who were murdered last night at the Capital Jewish Museum. Antisemitic violence has no place in the United States.” He added, “We’re praying for their families and all of our friends at the Israeli Embassy, where the two victims worked.”

It is time to stop pretending that the “pro-Palestinian” movement is anything but a pro-terrorist movement with people who are either malicious antisemites or the most gullible, ignorant bleeding hearts who consume every bit of terrorist propaganda put in front of them.

Two Israeli Embassy staffers were murdered in Washington, D.C., on Wednesday by a left-wing terrorist. The terrorist yelled, “Free, free Palestine!” after being detained and donned a keffiyeh. Too many on social media decided to call this “senseless violence” when, in reality, it makes all the sense in the world. Murdering Israeli civilians is what Hamas, which governs Gaza, does. Murdering Israeli civilians is what started this latest war, when Palestinians invaded Israel and massacred 1,200 Israeli men, women, and children. A pro-Palestinian terrorist gunning down two civilians in Washington, D.C., is a logical continuation of pro-Palestinian violence.

Pro-Palestinian students hold separate ‘People’s University for Palestine’ ceremony off campus

Columbia University plans to hold its traditional institution-wide commencement ceremony on Wednesday after cancelling it in 2024 due to pro-Palestinian protests.

On Sunday, a group of pro-Palestinian students held their own, independent commencement off campus under the name “People’s University for Palestine.” Still, some in the university community fear there will be disruptions at the Wednesday event, the Westside Rag reports.

“The University has been preparing for Commencement and taking precautions to ensure safe and successful events,” Columbia President Claire Shipman’s office said in a statement to the news outlet.

“Commencement will honor more than 16,000 new graduates, and our hardworking students deserve a joyful day of celebration with their families,” Shipman’s office stated.

George Washington University student banned after pro-Palestinian graduation speech

A graduation speech at George Washington University has resulted in the graduate being banned from the campus after she used the platform to criticize the university’s ties to Israel and express support for Palestinians.

During Saturday’s commencement for the Columbian College of Arts & Sciences, part of GWU in Washington, DC, graduating senior Cecilia Culver delivered remarks to the graduating class of nearly 750.

Culver condemned the deaths of Palestinians in Gaza, criticized GWU’s connections to Israel, and urged the audience to withhold donations from the college and push for financial transparency, as well as for the college to divest from Israeli-linked companies.

“I am ashamed to know my tuition [fee] is being used to fund this genocide,” Culver said from the stage. “I call upon the class of 2025 to withhold donations and continue advocating for disclosure and divestment.”

The Trump administration has said it is halting Harvard University’s ability to enroll international students.

On Thursday, the New York Times reported that the Trump administration notified Harvard about its decision following ongoing correspondence regarding the “legality of a sprawling records request”, according to three people familiar with the matter.

The records request comes as part of an investigation by the homeland security department in which federal officials are threatening the university’s international student admissions.

The homeland security secretary, Kristi Noem, posted a copy of the letter on X, formerly known as Twitter. In it Noem said: “I am writing to inform you that effective immediately, Harvard University’s Student and Exchange Visitor Program certification is revoked.”

Former FBI Director sent out a not-so-veiled signal to far-left progressive terrorists to continue their efforts to assassinate Donald Trump by posting a picture on social media that said, in seashells on a beach, “86 47.” Response from the DNC criminal media incudes headlines like this from the Boston Globe – “James Comey calls controversy over Instagram post ‘a bit of a distraction’.”

Former FBI director James Comey says that he’s still a bit bewildered over how a seemingly innocent Instagram shot of shells arranged in the sand led to allegations by Donald Trump among others that he was calling for the president’s assassination and to an interview with the Secret Service.

“It’s been a bit of a distraction, honestly,” Comey said with a weary laugh Monday night during an appearance at a Barnes & Noble on Manhattan’s Upper West Side.

Comey was promoting “FDR Drive,” a crime novel coming out this week. One of the book’s themes, ironically, is weighing the potential of speech to incite others to violence.

Comey, whom Trump fired in 2017 amid an FBI investigation into potential ties between Russia and Trump’s first presidential campaign, explained Monday that he and his wife, Patrice, had been returning from a walk on the beach last Thursday when they came upon some shells organized in a way that resembled numbers, including “86.”

They speculated over whether it was a home address, or a political message. His wife noted that “86” in some restaurants means they had run out of an ingredient. Comey remembered it was slang for saying something was boring and should be “ditched.”

“And she said, ‘You should take a picture of it.’ So I took a picture of it, and then we walk home and she said, ‘You should really put that on Instagram. It’s kind of a cool thing.’ I said, ‘You’re right. It’s a cool thing,’” he explained.

To many viewers, the numbers seemed to spell out 86 and 47. Merriam-Webster, the dictionary used by The Associated Press, says 86 is slang meaning “to throw out,” “to get rid of” or “to refuse service to.” It notes: “Among the most recent senses adopted is a logical extension of the previous ones, with the meaning of ’to kill.’”

Top ABC Shows Ignore NJ Democrat Facing Charges for Assault Outside ICE Facility– www.newsbusters.org

Late Monday, interim U.S. Attorney for New Jersey Alina Habba announced assault charges against far-left Congresswoman LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) in relation to a physical confrontation outside an Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) facility.

But through Wednesday morning, ABC’s top news shows — Good Morning America and World News Tonight — had yet to cover it while their competitors on CBS and NBC ran cover for McIver standing up to illegal immigrants.

CBS had one minute and 53 seconds on its flagship shows CBS Mornings and the CBS Evening News. That number balloons to four minute and 49 seconds if the Plus editions of both shows were included.

Tuesday’s CBS Mornings opened with the chaotic scene as McIver, two other House Democrats, and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka, followed by co-host Nate Burleson boasting McIver “is strongly disputing the charges.”

Despite having offered years of vociferous coverage of every nook and cranny of January 6 prosecutions, Justice correspondent Scott MacFarlane was up in arms about this prosecution (click “expand”):

We could see those charging documents as early as this morning in this case of 38-year-old Lamonica McIver, a first-term Democrat from New Jersey. The video from earlier this month outside the Delaney Immigration Facility shows the confrontation with federal agents, McIver, a couple other members of Congress, and Newark Mayor Ras Baraka. The group was there for a routine inspection of the facility, but after Baraka was arrested, the scuffle ensued. McIver calls this a “purely political prosecution,” and says it was the agents who “created an unnecessary and unsafe confrontation.” The misdemeanor case against Baraka was dropped Monday by the U.S. Attorney, she said, “for the sake of moving forward,” but at the same time the U.S. Attorney announced this assault prosecution of McIver. The Department of Homeland Security argues the group stormed the gates and that no one is above the law, but Democrats are rallying behind McIver. And Gayle, they’re saying this is an attempt by the Trump administration to intimidate members of Congress.

Defense Secretary Pete Hegseth ordered the creation of a special review panel on Tuesday to investigate the Biden administration’s “chaotic” 2021 Afghanistan withdrawal.

“President Trump and I have formally pledged full transparency for what transpired during our military withdrawal from Afghanistan. The Department of Defense has an obligation, both to the American people and to the warfighters who sacrificed their youth in Afghanistan, to get to the facts,” Hegseth wrote in an agency memo released on Tuesday.

In his directive, Hegseth disclosed that the Defense Department has been conducting “a review” throughout the past three months of what the secretary described as a “catastrophic event in our military’s history.” Based on the probe’s findings, Hegseth “concluded that we need to conduct a comprehensive review to ensure that accountability for this event is met and that the complete picture is provided to the American people.”

The memo tasks Assistant to the Secretary of Defense for Public Affairs and Senior Advisor Sean Parnell to “convene a Special Review Panel (SRP) for the Department who will thoroughly examine previous investigations.” As noted in a Defense Department press release, Parnell spent 485 days stationed in Afghanistan and was “wounded in action” along with many of his fellow soldiers.

CNN anchor and slick-haired blowhard Jake Tapper’s tell-all book on how Democrats covered up President Joe Biden’s mental decline the past four years was just released today. Not surprisingly, website traffic cop NewsGuard is still giving the liberal media outlets that helped perpetuate this cover-up stellar marks for journalistic credibility.

Outlets like CNN, Politico, Bloomberg News, Slate and others have falsely tried to cast Biden’s conservative critics on his deterioration and on the media’s complicity in burying the story as peddling “unfounded” “conspiracy” theories, which now look utterly ridiculous in retrospect of Tapper’s new book. As syndicated radio host Chris Plante has repeatedly noted on his show, Biden’s “brain? She’s-a Broke! She’s-a no good!”

But these outlets have not corrected the false stories MRC Business uncovered that tried to hide or obscure this and the media and Democrats’ complicity, but yet still managed to attain high scores from 80-100 from NewsGuard for allegedly adhering to the dystopian ratings outfit’s pathetic excuse for “standards for credibility and transparency.”

Over the weekend, Democratic Rep. Ro Khanna held a town hall in Pennsylvania’s 7th Congressional District, where controversy erupted after a speaker openly praised a convicted cop-killer currently on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists list. City Council Member Ce-Ce Gerlach praised Assata Shakur – who is on the FBI’s Most Wanted Terrorists List for murdering a NJ State Trooper – calling her a “freedom fighter.” Shakur, also known as Joanne Chesimard, was convicted of murdering New Jersey State Trooper Werner Foerster in 1973 and later escaped prison, fleeing to communist Cuba where she remains a fugitive.

“In the words of freedom fighter Assata Shakur, ‘It is our duty to fight for our freedom, it is our duty to win, we must love and protect one another. We’ve got nothing to lose but our chains,” Gerlach said during the town hall.

Khanna didn’t object to Gerlach’s remarks, and neither did Lamont McClure or Carol Obando-Derstine—the Democrats vying for the PA-07 nomination to face Republican Ryan Mackenzie—as both have remained silent and refused to denounce the comments.

The U.S. Attorney’s Office for the District of New Jersey has formally filed criminal charges against U.S. Rep. LaMonica McIver (D-NJ) for allegedly assaulting U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents outside a New Jersey facility.

McIver joined Newark Mayor Ray Baraka, two of her House colleagues and a number of additional activists and lawmakers to “inspect” an ICE facility in New Jersey earlier this month. The situation quickly devolved into chaos when the group stormed past an exterior gate and attempted to gain entry to the building, footage shows.

Amidst the chaos, Baraka was charged with trespassing while other members of the group protested and clashed with immigration agents. Footage from the incident appears to show Rep. McIver repeatedly elbowing and shoving an ICE agent, a claim she has denied despite video evidence.

NBC Chief White House Correspondent Peter Alexander just had what one can only define as a terrible day in the Oval Office.

Alexander, who found himself asking questions of President Trump during a meeting with South Africa’s President Cyril Ramaphosa, probably wished he hadn’t rolled out of bed for work this morning.

The only one who might have had a tougher day was Ramaphosa himself.

With South Africa’s leader in the White House, the topic of conversation was bound to pivot at some point to the administration’s admission of a group of 59 South African white people as refugees. The media has been obsessed with the small contingent because of their skin color, pouncing on that fact as if it’s some sort of evidence that Trump’s immigration policies are racist.

Alexander attempted to advance that narrative.

“Can you explain to Americans why it’s appropriate to welcome white Afrikaners here when other refugees like Afghans, Venezuelans, Haitians have all had their protected status revoked?” he inquired.

Decision follows another $450 million federal funding curb

Harvard University’s president will have a smaller paycheck soon, due to his decision to take a 25 percent pay cut.

President Alan Garber, who likely makes at least $1 million, has refused to comply with the Trump administration’s demands concerning DEI and antisemitism. Instead, the university will continue to lose hundreds of millions in federal funding.

President Garber (pictured) made the announcement recently as a show of solidarity with faculty and staff who are facing pay freezes. “More than 80 faculty members — from several schools and academic units — have pledged to donate 10 percent of their salaries for up to a year to support the University if it continues to resist the Trump administration,” The Harvard Crimson reported.

The Ivy League university is also freezing spending elsewhere, according to The Harvard Crimson.

The student newspaper reported:

In March, Harvard hit pause on faculty and staff hiring, directing schools to curb discretionary spending, reassess capital projects, and halt new multi-year commitments. In April, Harvard told employees it would not award merit pay raises to faculty and non-union staff in fiscal year 2026. And earlier this week, Faculty of Arts and Sciences professors were instructed to develop contingency plans for how their departments would handle budget shortfalls — as administrators acknowledge they expect long-term financial fallout.

This is not the first time Garber has reduced his pay in the wake of challenges affecting Harvard. In 2020, as provost, he took a similar 25 percent cut in response to the Covid-19 pandemic. Then-President Lawrence S. Bacow and several deans also accepted temporary reductions as Harvard confronted a projected $750 million revenue shortfall.

In the name of protecting a disenfranchised class from endemic suicide, the state of Colorado has just declared its independence from American rule of law. The rogue state openly defied the 1st amendment to pass House Bill 25-1314, which effectively makes it illegal for Americans to “deadname” a transgender person.

One provision removed exposes the depraved hearts of the authors of this act of insurrection. It would have ordered judges to “consider deadnaming, misgendering, or threatening to publish material related to an individual’s gender-affirming health-care services as types of coercive control.” This is specifically applied when “making child custody decisions and determining the best interests of a child for purposes of parenting time, a court shall.”

According to Colorado Newsline:

House Bill 25-1312, dubbed the Kelly Loving Act in honor of a transgender woman killed during the 2022 Club Q shooting in Colorado Springs, would make it a discriminatory act to intentionally not refer to a transgender person by their chosen name. It also requires school policies be “inclusive of all reasons” that a student changes their name, and it says schools must allow students to choose from any variation contained in dress code policies.

What does “inclusive of all reasons” even mean? And since when can minors decide these sorts of things? Because what if it’s against the wishes of the parents? Is that much of a concern to lawmakers?

The bill includes a provision that says someone does not need a court order if they want to change their gender marker on a driver’s license or other identification a second or third time. Colorado allows an “X” gender marker on state IDs, but that has led to some people having trouble with student loans and passport applications, so some people may want to change their gender markers back. It will also allow a county clerk to issue a new marriage license to someone who has legally changed their name….

Homeland Security Investigations (HSI) has requested fingerprints and the names of the arrested individuals to check their visa status.

Columbia University has suspended at least 65 students accused of participating in the violent anti-Israel Butler Library takeover on Wednesday. Another 33 individuals, including alumni and those from affiliated institutions, have also been barred from campus, a school official said. This comes after the univeristy vowed to take immediate disciplinary action.

Dozens of masked protesters stormed the library while students were studying for finals, with some handing out pamphlets that glorified an alleged terrorist. Members of the group committed acts of vandalism and assaulted two security guards, resulting in an NYPD response to clear the building. According to police, 80 arrests were made, which included 61 females and 19 males. The group chanted phrases such as “Free Palestine” and demanded that the university divest from Israel.

A federal judge in Vermont on Friday ordered the Trump administration to release Tufts University student Rumeysa Ozturk on bail after she was accused of aiding the terrorist group Hamas.

Oturk’s arrest occurred in late March when immigration agents approached her on the street while she was walking with friends outside her home in Somerville, MA. The agents placed her in handcuffs and drove her to Vermont. Afterward, she was transported to a Louisiana prison.

From The New York Times:

In seeking her release, her lawyers have accused the government of detaining her in unconstitutional retaliation for protected speech. The main evidence against her appears to be an essay critical of Israel that she helped to write in a Tufts student newspaper last year.

Video footage of Ms. Ozturk’s detention went viral, leading to public outrage of her treatment by critics who say the government is abusing the immigration system to deport international students.

Ms. Ozturk has spent six weeks in detention in Louisiana and has endured unsanitary conditions that have triggered increasingly severe asthma attacks, her lawyers said in court documents.

Brooklyn College was the scene of violence after anti-Israel protestors switched from protest to violent insurrection, attacking police, 14 people were reported arrested, with only one person reported tased. Dozens of pro-Palestinian protests clashed with police at Brooklyn College on Thursday, prompting the arrest of at least 14 people. The chaos came just one day after 80 protesters who aggressively took over and occupied a library at Columbia University were arrested.

The clashes with police just outside Brooklyn College were frenzied and chaotic, coming after officers had told the students and activists who set up tents on campus to disperse. Several videos of the incident show police and protesters shoving each other in the melee as the situation spilled into the nearby streets.

“Videos show activists, many of whom were wearing keffiyehs, yelling and swearing as police officers attempted to get the unruly crowd under control. ‘Stop shoving people! Stop f–king shoving people,’ one female protester yelled,” according to the New York Post, which reported 14 people had been taken into custody.

The Thursday three network morning shows of ABC’s Good Morning America, NBC’s Today, and CBS Mornings could not and therefore did not downplay the violence that occurred overnight at Columbia University as pro-Palestinian agitators occupied Butler Library during finals week. However, they did manage to sanitize the message used to justify that violence, as it was mostly claimed they simply want an end to the Gaza War.

Today anchor Savannah Guthrie introduced correspondent Sam Brock, “Dozens of pro-Palestinian protesters taken into custody after they stormed a library at Columbia University and refused to leave for hours. NBC’s Sam Brock on the campus there for us. Sam, what’s the latest here?”
