The US Embassy said the killed US officials were “supporting Chihuahua state authorities’ efforts to combat cartel operations.”

Two Central Intelligence Agency (CIA) officers were killed in Mexico over the weekend while returning from an operation targeting Cartel-affiliated drug labs in the northern state of Chihuahua. They died in a vehicle crash along with two Mexican investigators, who were also involved in the operation, authorities said.

The circumstances surround the crash are under investigation, according to CNN. This comes as President Trump has repeatedly stated his intention to dismantle the Cartels, pressuring Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum to crack down on their drug labs. The US Embassy said that the killed US officials were “supporting Chihuahua state authorities’ efforts to combat cartel operations.”

President Sheinbaum claimed during a Tuesday press conference that her administration was “not aware of any direct work or coordination” between the state of Chihuahua and the US Embassy in Mexico. She added that Mexico does not permit joint operations with foreign governments and that work is limited to intelligence sharing.

A Canadian tourist was shot and killed Monday while visiting the Teotihuacán pyramids in Mexico, according to local authorities.

Mexico’s security officials said a gunman opened fire at the popular tourist spot, killing a Canadian woman and injuring at least 13 people, including six Americans. The shooter later took his own life, the Security Cabinet said.

In a video posted on X, verified by CBS News, a man with a gun is seen pacing near the top of the Pyramid of the Moon. In another video, gunshots can be heard as visitors of the archeological site are seen walking at the bottom of the pyramid.

At least seven people suffered gunshot wounds and at least two people were injured from falls, officials said. Two of the people who were shot, a 29-year-old man and a 61-year-old woman, were Americans. Eight people were still hospitalized as of Monday night, Mexico’s Interior Ministry said.

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum vowed Tuesday to take a harder line against the U.S. over the deaths of Mexican migrants in its immigration detention centres.

Sheinbaum had previously responded to U.S. President Donald Trump‘s anti-immigration provocations by defending Mexico’s sovereignty while meeting his requests to crack down on drug cartel activity. At the same time, the threat of tariffs and other economic or military-style sanctions loomed.

The Progressive-led Mexican government is looking to aggressively push towards a cashless society and a national digital ID system.

Mexico Advances Plans to Eliminate Cash, Mandate Digital ID – slaynews.com

Mexico’s far-left government is accelerating globalist plans to roll out a sweeping biometric ID system while laying the groundwork for a cashless society, raising serious concerns about privacy, surveillance, and government control.

Under President Claudia Sheinbaum, officials are framing the initiative as voluntary modernization.

However, the details of the plans tell a different story.

Biometric ID Push Tied to Everyday Life

At the center of the plan is the new CURP Biométrica, an upgraded national identity system that goes far beyond traditional ID.

The program will require citizens to submit:

  • Fingerprints (all ten)
  • Iris scans
  • Facial recognition data
  • Digital signature

(LifeSiteNews) — Mobs of feminists across Mexico attempted to attack and vandalize several prominent Catholic churches during marches to commemorate International Women’s Day on Sunday.

A video posted across social media shows masked leftists torching the doors of an unidentified church in Querétaro. Other videos in Guadalajara and Puebla, Mexico, show dozens of Catholics forming human chains or standing in front of churches to protect them from vandalism while being screamed at and, in some cases, being hit with eggs and other objects.

Mexico has certainly hit a rough patch this year.

Earlier this week, the killing of a cartel kingpin led to widespread violence and disruptions by gangs throughout the country.

Now, hackers reportedly “jailbroke” Anthropic’s Claude chatbot and used it to help steal roughly 150 GB of sensitive data from multiple Mexican government entities, including tax and voter records.

Stealing 195 million taxpayer records shouldn’t be this easy, yet one hacker just proved that Anthropic’s Claude makes government data theft almost routine. Between December 2025 and January 2026, an unknown attacker exploited the popular AI chatbot to automate cyberattacks against multiple Mexican agencies, walking away with 150GB of sensitive data including voter records, employee credentials, and civil registry files.

The breach reads like a cyberpunk fever dream, but the method was disturbingly simple. The hacker jailbroke Claude by framing malicious requests as a “bug bounty” security program, convincing the AI to act as an “elite hacker.” Once fooled, Claude produced thousands of detailed attack plans with ready-to-execute scripts, specifying exact targets and credentials needed.

When Claude hit limits, the attacker switched to ChatGPT for lateral movement and evasion tactics—turning two consumer AI tools into a sophisticated hacking arsenal. This tag-team approach leveraged each platform’s strengths while bypassing their individual safeguards.

Mexico is flooding the United States with Marxist anti-American textbooks to ideologically weaken its northern neighbor and indoctrinate immigrants away from properly assimilating, President of the Government Accountability Institute Peter Schweizer details in his latest book The Invisible Coup: How American Elites and Foreign Powers Use Immigration as a Weapon.

Schweizer, who has written several New York Times bestsellers exposing political corruption and dirty dealings, lays out how Mexico sends anti-capitalist textbooks through more than 50 consulates in the United States, which far exceeds the number of other countries. The effort, he writes, can be traced to the political ruling class’s belief in “Reconquista,” or “the reconquering of the American Southwest…territories lost to the United States in the nineteenth century.”

At her Wednesday morning press conference, President Claudia Sheinbaum spoke about her government’s transfer to the United States on Tuesday of 37 cartel figures. (Read Mexico News Daily’s report here.)

She also offered some advice to cell phone users to help them avoid becoming victims of crime, and took a moment to endorse the speech Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney made on Tuesday at the World Economic Forum (WEF) meeting in Davos, Switzerland.

It launched from Naval Air Station Whidbey Island in Washington, flying over Oregon and California. It then looped several times off the coast of Mexico and Southern California before returning to base. The P-8 has been used to monitor suspicious ships and movements in the ocean as it’s equipped with with sensors that can detect targets on the surface and underwater.

President Claudia Sheinbaum on Wednesday reiterated Mexico’s opposition to foreign interventions and interference as the United States ramps up its aggressive posture against Venezuela.

Speaking at her morning press conference, Sheinbaum also called on the United Nations to assume its “role” and prevent bloodshed in Venezuela.

Her remarks came a day after U.S. President Donald Trump announced on social media that he was ordering “a total and complete blockade of all sanctioned oil tankers going into, and out of, Venezuela,” a move the Venezuelan government called a “grotesque threat.”

Trump also wrote that “the Venezuelan Regime has been designated a foreign terrorist organization” by the U.S. government, and declared that “Venezuela is completely surrounded by the largest armada ever assembled in the history of South America.”

At her Tuesday morning press conference, President Claudia Sheinbaum responded to U.S. President Donald Trump’s latest threats of intervention in Mexico, as well as new travel advice for Mexico that was issued by the Canadian government.

Among other issues, Sheinbaum spoke about the people who remain in custody after being detained in Mexico City’s central square on Saturday for allegedly attacking police at the end of a large anti-government protest march.

Here is a recap of the president’s Nov. 18 mañanera.

Mexico’s far left anti-Americanist President, Claudia Sheinbaum, continues to invite direct war with the U.S. The cartel-controlled President is now accusing the U.S. of being fascist for daring to go to war with the drug cartels wreaking havoc on American soil. Sheinbaum claimed, “Returning to the war against the narco is not an option — first, because it is outside the framework of the law.”

She went on to elaborate that going to war with cartels violates their due process rights even as cartels in her own country continue to openly murder elected government officials in what can only be described as an insurrectionist act of war. Her comments are sure to continue to push Americans towards supporting an eventual war with Mexico should Sheinbaum remain in power.

According to Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum, “Returning to the war against the narco is not an option — first, because it is outside the framework of the law.” In the next breath, she proceeded to mock those on the right by claiming that going after the cartels is against the rule of law.

She claimed this would be “permission to kill without any trial.” In fact, she argued it would be moving toward authoritarianism—or “fascism,” if you will. It’s unclear exactly who she thinks she’s convincing with these lies, but she has made it clear who she intends to represent, and it certainly isn’t the law-abiding citizens of Mexico.

A Mexican mayor known for his outspoken stance against drug cartels and his push for tougher anti-trafficking laws was shot and killed during a Day of the Dead celebration over the weekend.

Carlos Manzo, the mayor of Uruapan in Michoacán State, was gunned down Saturday night during a public vigil, according to state officials.

Authorities said Manzo was struck seven times.

He later died from his injuries at a nearby hospital.

Before his death, Manzo had repeatedly warned that local officials were being targeted by cartels.

He had criticized Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum for failing to take stronger action against organized crime.

President Donald Trump has finally named the enemy: Mexican drug cartels. Declaring them unlawful combatants and recognizing a “non-international armed conflict” marks one of the most consequential national security shifts in modern history.

For decades, Washington treated cartel violence as a crime — a problem for prosecutors, not generals. Indictments were filed, assets seized, and sanctions imposed. But the cartels fought a different kind of war, one that combined terror, intelligence, and territorial control. Calling it “crime” guaranteed defeat.

We refused to define the cartels as belligerents — and fought the wrong fight.

According to the Armed Conflict Location and Event Data Project, Mexico ranks among the world’s most violent conflict zones — behind only Palestine, Myanmar, and Syria. It is also the second-most dangerous country for civilians. Those numbers are not from a failed state overseas. They come from our southern border, where cartel wars spill into American communities daily.

MEXICO CITY — The U.S. Treasury Department on Thursday sanctioned members of a Sinaloa cartel faction known as Los Mayos, one of the groups that has tormented Sinaloa’s capital in an ongoing war for control.

The move came on the same day that U.S. Under Secretary of the Treasury for Terrorism and Financial Intelligence John K. Hurley is visiting Mexico, and after the Trump administration designated the Sinaloa cartel as a terrorist group earlier this year.

Hurley is meeting with Mexican authorities and business leaders to discuss strategies for combating drug trafficking, cartel operations and illicit financing. The U.S. Treasury Department said in a statement that the official’s main message will be that the department “will not allow Mexico-based drug cartels to access the U.S. financial system.”

It’s part of an ongoing effort by the Trump administration to crack down on cartels. In addition to pressuring Mexico’s government to more aggressively pursue the criminal groups, the administration has also doled out rounds of sanctions to cartel leaders, banks it alleged facilitated money transfers for cartels and a rapper accused of laundering money for the groups.

Prime Minister Mark Carney on Thursday acknowledged the issue of Mexican drug cartels operating in Canada, but also that “there are Canadian gangs that operate in Mexico” and that more cooperation is needed to combat them.

Carney made the comments while speaking alongside Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum in Mexico City, where the two leaders signed a new comprehensive strategic partnership aimed at strengthening trade and security ties, including tackling transnational organized crime.

“The unfortunate fact is that yes, there are cartels or gangs from one country in another country, but also vice versa,” he told reporters. “I’m going to acknowledge that there are Canadian gangs that operate in Mexico. We cooperate with the Mexican authorities. We share information. We’re deepening that cooperation.

“Surveillance, heightened police cooperation is appropriate in order to ensure that these criminals are brought to justice, and not wavering in the efforts to bring them to justice, whether the activities are in Canada, Mexico or the United States.”

While Americans and foreign nationals continue to protest and riot in the United States under the slogan “no human is illegal,” a very different sentiment is emerging at our southern border.

It turns out that open-border policies are largely a phenomenon of the Western world, while most other countries show little interest in taking on the world’s challenges. Who would’ve thought?

Rioters in Mexico City are demanding that Americans stop moving to the United States, as they claim gentrification is affecting that area and making housing unaffordable for everyone else.

LOL. If legal immigration causes this much trouble, just imagine the toll illegal immigration causes for America.

President Donald Trump’s nationwide raids conducted by Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents have drawn massive praise and criticism alike.

However, other countries are now starting to chime in, including those whose citizens are illegally flooding the United States.

According to Breitbart, the president of Mexico apparently isn’t a fan of the Trump administration conducting raids on illegal aliens.

The ICE raids have been targeting illegal aliens crimials, many of whom are murderers, rapists, human traffickings, and other dangerous offenders.

However, Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum has accused Trump of targeting “honest” and “hardworking” illegal aliens.

During her daily news conference, Sheinbaum made her thoughts on the ongoing immigration raids crystal clear.

The United States’ new tariff on foreign cars is having an impact on the Mexican automotive industry, official data indicates.

The national statistics agency INEGI reported on Monday that Mexico’s exports of light vehicles declined 2.9% in annual terms in May, the month after the Trump administration imposed a tariff on all foreign cars. Domestic production of cars fell 2% last month, INEGI said.

United States content in vehicles made in Mexico is exempt from the 25% tariff the U.S. government imposed on foreign cars in early April, reducing the duty on Mexican cars to an average of 15%, according to Economy Minister Marcelo Ebrard.

Nevertheless, the duty is detrimental to a Mexican automotive industry that had grown accustomed to tariff-free trade in North America thanks to the USMCA and NAFTA. Around 80% of the vehicles Mexico exports go to the United States.

INEGI reported that Mexico exported a total of 301,112 light vehicles last month, while 358,209 vehicles were assembled in the country.

Sheinbaum calls Mexico election ‘extraordinary’ despite low turnout– www.latimes.com

Excerpt:

Mexican President Claudia Sheinbaum was effusive. “Marvelous, impressive “ she told reporters Monday. “Extraordinary. … A great success.”

The superlatives kept coming about Sunday’s historic judicial elections — which Sheinbaum championed — but the president could not conceal a harsh reality: Only about 13% of 100 million eligible voters cast ballots in a vote that the president had labeled a key component of the ruling party’s ongoing “transformation” of Mexican society. She and her allies had spent weeks urging people to vote.

No one expected that Sunday’s polling — which didn’t include contenders for any national or statewide legislative posts — would approach the 61% turnout of last year’s national elections. Sheinbaum won a landslide victory last year, and her Morena political bloc swept to huge majorities in both houses of Congress and in state houses and towns across the country.

This was a festival of voter fraud, and they dare to say that the people rule.

— Jorge Romero, national leader of the National Action Party

The turnout was more disappointing than even the the lowest pre-election turnout estimates of about 15%. Some election advocates had optimistically predicted as many as one-third of voters would make it to the polls.

“Everything can be perfected,” the president conceded.
