James Talarico Refused to Support Bill to Stop Infanticide– www.lifenews.com
News Source
EXCERPT:

Texas Senate candidate James Talarico refused to support a 2019 Texas bill that would stop infanticide.

He refused to vote for legislation that required doctors to give life-saving medical care to infants born alive after an abortion, a measure pro-life lawmakers said was necessary to stop infanticide.

Talarico, then representing Round Rock and now the Democrat nominee for U.S. Senate, recorded his vote as “present, not voting” on House Bill 16, the Texas Born-Alive Infant Protection Act. He did not vote yes to mandate that physicians treat a child who survives an abortion the same way they would treat any other infant born at the same gestational age.

Texas Right to Life gave Talarico a 0 percent pro-life score for the 86th Legislative Session. The group cited his present-not-voting stance on the born-alive bill and his opposition to expanding the state’s Alternatives to Abortion program.

The born-alive bill, authored by Rep. Jeff Leach, R-Plano, created criminal and civil penalties for doctors who withhold appropriate care. A physician who failed to act after a failed abortion could face a third-degree felony punishable by two to 10 years in prison and a civil fine of at least $100,000. Gov. Greg Abbott signed the measure, and it took effect Sept. 1, 2019.

This is a stunning moment captured on video. Talk about saying the quiet part out loud.

Republican Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton privately said that the Republican National Convention (RNC) midterm convention hurt his Senate bid, The New York Times reported Wednesday.

Audio captured Paxton saying Republicans’ numbers dropped after the convention, according to the Times. The alleged audio was shared with the Times by an attendee at a private fundraiser in Washington, D.C.

“So to be honest with you, the numbers — when we did that convention — it dropped our numbers. Everybody’s numbers dropped. Right now, yeah, not good,” Paxton reportedly said. (RELATED: Republicans Pouring Unprecedented Amounts Of Money Into Midterms To Save GOP Candidates In Red States)

James Talarico woke up one day and decided to declare himself as moderate. While no one fell for it, there is more than enough evidence to conclude that he is as woke as ever before, and he has no intention of appealing to the sensible voters of Texas.

On undercover footage published by The Daily Wire, Talarico was asked by a woman if he would support her trans niece in competing in sports. He affirmed all of that and more on Sept. 13.

“The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is the way I will fight for them in the U.S. Senate. My position hasn’t changed,” Talarico confirmed.

EXCERPT:

Texas Democrat James Talarico has made Jeffrey Epstein a campaign weapon against Republican Senate rival Ken Paxton, but new scrutiny is turning back on the Democrat over financial ties to a major donor with a documented association to the disgraced financier.

Talarico has repeatedly invoked Epstein on the campaign trail, including during a September appearance with survivors at a Dallas exhibit featuring millions of pages of Epstein-related records.

He used the event to accuse Paxton of failing to do enough to force the release of additional Justice Department records tied to Epstein and his network.

Talarico has also accused Paxton of offering “Epstein-style sweetheart deals to pedophiles,” making the scandal a recurring part of his campaign message.

But the Paxton campaign has pointed to outside groups supporting Talarico that have received major financial backing from Democratic megadonor Reid Hoffman, who has acknowledged past interactions with Epstein.

A new poll of likely voters shows Republican Ken Paxton leading Democrat James Talarico 48 percent to 45 percent in the Texas U.S. Senate race.

The Pulse Decision Science survey, conducted Sept. 24-27, was identified as a Republican internal poll.

Paxton, Texas attorney general since 2015, has drawn endorsements from major national pro-life groups that praise his record of defending unborn children. National Right to Life endorsed him earlier this month.

“National Right to Life is proud to endorse Ken Paxton for the U.S. Senate,” said Carol Tobias, president of National Right to Life. “Throughout his service as Texas attorney general, Ken Paxton has consistently defended life. We are confident he will bring that same commitment and leadership to the U.S. Senate.”

Talarico Pledges in Video to Use Senate Seat to Fight for Trans Children– www.breitbart.com

EXCERPT:

Texas Democratic U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico told a woman posing as a supporter on Sept. 13 that his position on transgender issues “hasn’t changed,” according to an undercover video clip.

The recording, captured at Houston’s Wheeler Avenue Baptist Church, shows the Democrat responding to a woman who asked whether he would defend her “niece who is trans” and her ability to compete in women’s sports, the Daily Wire reported.

Talarico assured her he would carry his legislative record into the Senate.

“Always,” he said. “The way I fought for trans kids in the legislature is how I will fight for them in the U.S. Senate. And my position hasn’t changed.”

The candidate added that transgender sports eligibility should be handled locally and insisted his approach remained the broadest in the field.

“I still think these should be local decisions, sport by sport, athlete by athlete, and I think I have the most inclusive policy of any candidate who’s running,” Talarico said. “So I know things are getting clipped and stuff, but my views, my position hasn’t changed.”

The comments came four days after the Senate candidate told Fox News on Sept. 9 that he opposed transgender athletes in girls’ sports.

“Every sport has to be safe and fair,” Talarico said in the interview. “And so, I will oppose trans athletes playing in girls’ sports if it risks safety or fairness.”

During the same appearance, Talarico walked back his past claim that there are six biological sexes and pledged to “absolutely” support a national ban on gender-transition surgeries for minors. As a state representative, he voted against Senate Bill 14, the 2023 Texas law restricting such procedures, and against Senate Bill 29 in 2021, which would have tied school athletes to the sex on their birth certificates. He has previously argued that such restrictions stem from a “Christofascism movement.”

Jennifer Miranda, a manager with Texas Together and the Texas Democratic Party, characterized the shift as strategic in separate footage released by the outlet.

“Right now he’s trying to target a wider net, which unfortunately means being more palatable to Republicans here in Texas,” Miranda said. “He does believe the things that he’s said before.”

Rev. Babs Miller, a minister at Talarico’s longtime Austin church, predicted in her own recorded exchange that he would revert after the election.

Paxton campaign spokeswoman Madison Cercy claimed the footage confirmed the candidate’s record.

“James Talarico can’t outrun his own radical record, and this bombshell video proves it,” Cercy said. “Now, even he admits his position ‘hasn’t changed.’”

The footage follows separate undercover video obtained by Breitbart News showing Talarico’s pastor and mentor, Rev. Jim Rigby, welcoming atheists to his congregation. Talarico faces Republican Ken Paxton in November.

EXCERPT:

Texas Democrat U.S. Senate nominee James Talarico has called St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin home since he was two years old. It has been led for 35 years by Rev. Jim Rigby, whom Talarico calls a “mentor,” according to The Christian Post.

Undercover video obtained exclusively by Townhall shows Rigby musing about his economic philosophy — a philosophy that has undoubtedly been impressed upon Talarico for virtually the candidate’s entire life.

“I think capitalism is in death throes,” Rigby says in the video. “You’re gonna have to throw everything overboard. It’s like, that’s the next chapter of human rights. It’s like, life, liberty, pursuit of happiness is not capitalism. That every person has a right to medicine, to a livable wage, stuff. That’s not radical.”

Rigby asserts the United States is the only developed nation “that doesn’t have that stuff. And they’re calling that communism.”

“So, to me, just stop looking at the label and what is it that you want?” he continues in the video.

“Gandhi and Martin Luther King were democratic socialists. That’s the next chapter, and it’s not this horrific thing. It’s like, that’s what the rest of the civilized world calls sanity.”

We’ve seen a lot of wild statements from Texas Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico.

But Talarico posted a screed on Sunday about how his healthcare positions were based on “biblical grounds,” then misused Jesus to justify his takes.

When Jesus healed the sick, he didn’t ask for a deductible. So when I fight for universal healthcare, I’m doing it on biblical grounds.

When Jesus fed the hungry, he didn’t price gouge to turn a profit. So when I say that no child in the state of Texas should go to bed hungry, I’m doing it on biblical grounds.

And when the Hebrew prophets saw corruption in high places, they spoke truth to power. So when I take on the politicians who are serving themselves and not the people, I’m doing it on biblical grounds.

Democrat Texas Senate nominee James Talarico is once again attempting to rewrite the gospel, and this time it was while sitting down with Jimmy Kimmel — who claimed that they could only air it on YouTube “because of Trump.”

In the interview, he explained to Kimmel that Scripture “tells us that you can’t love God and hate other people.”

“You can’t love God and abuse the immigrant. You can’t love God and oppress the poor. You can’t love God and bully the outcast,” he began.

“Matthew 25 tells us Christians exactly how we’re going to be judged and how we’re going to be saved: by feeding the hungry, by healing the sick, by welcoming the stranger,” he said. “I often wonder: What would Jesus do if he visited the U.S. Senate?”

“I think he would tell the senators on the floor, ‘Depart from me, for I was hungry and you cut my food assistance. I was sick and you kicked me off Medicaid. I was a stranger and you deported me and my family,” he added.

BlazeTV host Pat Gray “can’t” with Talarico’s bizarre interpretation of God’s word.

You know they desperately want Texas Democratic Senate nominee James Talerico to win.

You can’t pay someone to vote for a candidate, but apparently the PAC discovered a way around the rule.

From the video:

MCADAMS: We are paying people $25 to attend a one-hour Zoom class to learn why voting is important and why the Republicans are causing all of these bad things. So it’s like a roundabout way of paying people for their votes, essentially, which is interesting.

PERSON RECORDING THE VIDEO: What’s the – what’s this called?

MCADAMS: It’s called the Paid Relational Program. I think rally Texas is the official name. You can’t pay someone to vote for someone. You can’t be like, “Here’s $25, go vote for me.” You can say, “Attend a one-hour class and you can receive $25.” And then the class just talks about the importance of…it’s a little gray.

PERSON RECORDING THE VIDEO: But right now we could use all the help we can get.

MCADAMS: If I was a Republican, I would be pissed. I would be like, “That’s shady as f**k.”

Relentless’s website admits that it recruits “low-propensity voters and compensates them for their time as they reach, persuade, and mobilize their friends and family to vote.”

For weeks, Republicans have accused Texas State Rep. James Talarico (D-50th District) of faking a rightward shift on transgender issues to win a statewide race. Now the public doesn’t have to take our word for it.

Why? His own pastor just confirmed it.

An undercover journalist for the Daily Wire caught Rev. Babs Miller, a “minister” at St. Andrew’s Presbyterian Church in Austin, Talarico’s longtime “church,” on hidden camera discussing exactly what we’ve suspected all along.

Talarico has drawn Republican criticism for his professed love for “trans children,” claiming that there are seven genders, and that “God is non-binary.”

Miller knows who Talarico is, and isn’t buying his attempt to rebrand himself.

“He’s getting some advice that I don’t think he should be following.” She predicted he’d drop the act the moment he’s safely in office, telling the undercover journalist, “I can guarantee you that once he gets elected, he’ll change his tune back to where he was.”

That’s the whole scam, according to the guy’s own “minister.”

If Karl Rove thought he could publicly announce that he’s voting for a Texas Democrat this November without getting some serious blowback from President Trump, he seriously miscalculated the situation.

The president came in from the top rope in a Monday evening Truth Social post after news broke that Rove, the longtime Republican strategist and one-time adviser to former President George W. Bush, planned to cross party lines in the Texas Railroad Commission race and vote for Democrat Jon Rosenthal over the Republican nominee, Bo French.

Rove, wrote Trump, is a RINO and “a stone cold loser” who has suffered from Trump Derangement Syndrome for the past decade. Furthermore, declared the president, Rove is “bad for the Republican Party” after being “completely wrong so often.”

Karl Rove is so bad for the Republican Party, and completely wrong so often. He suffers from a major case of Trump Derangement Syndrome primarily because, for almost 10 years, I beat back and won against so many of the people and things that he wanted and espoused. James Talarico Claims We Are All “Just Really Big Kindergartners” In Bizarre Clip– www.louderwithcrowder.com

EXCERPT:

James Talarico has no shortage of foolish clips. From claiming God is nonbinary to claiming there are six genders, the man really would do himself a lot of favors if he just stopped talking. Nonetheless, the internet continues to prove just how unqualified this man is to serve the great people of Texas.

According to James Talarico, we are all just “big Kindergartners” and we should run “our world like we run a kindergarten classroom.” It is unclear what he means by this but we can be certain it is no less foolish than his previous asinine takes.

To call this bizarre would be an understatement. But are you surprised? This is coming from the same man who once voted to accuse some parents of abuse if they refused to affirm their kids’ gender transitions.

Yes, he really is that evil. And the worst part is that he thinks he can now lie his way out of accountability.

EXCERPT:

In an unearthed article, Democrat Senate candidate James Talarico revealed that he visited a mosque following the 9/11 terrorist attacks in 2001.

Talarico revealed the news in a profile piece published by Texas Monthly in January of this year, saying that the visit was a “solidarity thing” following growing “vitriol and distrust” of the Muslim community in the United States. Talarico’s mother, who is deeply involved in Democrat politics in Texas and holds a joint bank account with her son, led the trip and brought along Talarico’s sister and two best friends.

Since that fateful trip, Islam has become a centerpiece in Talarico’s faith and political life. In 2021, Talarico filed a bill to allow Imams to perform weddings in the state of Texas. One year later, an Imam was invited to deliver a sermon at Talarico’s notorious St. Andrews Presbyterian Church. The church, which is considered to be extremely politically-active, is credited as the place where he learned to “see politics as a way of loving your neighbor.”

In a newly resurfaced video, Talarico says Islam and Christianity are “equal pathways to truth,” rejecting the Christian teaching that Jesus Christ is the only path to salvation. Talarico said he views all religions as different paths leading to the same truth.

“I find that they’re all kind of equal pathways to truth. You know, that’s how I think, you know, I always think of all of the world’s faith traditions as like a circle with,” Talarico said. “That divine mystery of the universe in the middle. And we all have different names for that mystery.”

Talarico specifically included Allah, Nirvana, and the Great Spirit among the names he said people use for what he called the same “divine mystery.”

“Whether it’s God or Yahweh or Allah or Nirvana, the Great Spirit, whatever you call it, this is all, you know, different pathways to the same kind of fundamental truth of reality,” Talarico continued.

Sometimes the GOP establishment is fairly crafty at hiding its disdain for voters. Other times, not so much.

Sen. John Kennedy, R-La., took a break from making folksy quips to let the mask slip during a Sunday interview about Texas’ Senate race between Republican Ken Paxton and Democrat James Talarico. While often unpredictable in its accuracy, public polling has shown the race to be one of the most contested in the country.

Yet, despite the race’s apparent closeness and major fundraising disparities between the two candidates, the milquetoast Kennedy wouldn’t commit to the Senate GOP deploying money to aid Paxton’s election. He said that the Senate GOP’s campaign arm simply doesn’t have the money to spend in Texas (after pouring millions into the state primary alongside other establishment forces to try and save incumbent Sen. John Cornyn).

“There’s no sense bubble wrapping it — we’ve got a race in Texas. … [Paxton] is going to have to point out the deficiencies of Mr. Talarico. … [But] you can’t win an election by saying the other guy’s worse than me. Money is an issue,” Kennedy said. “We in the Senate don’t have the money budgeted for Texas. We need help from the president. The president says he has $850 million in his campaign accounts. That’s a lot of jack.”

At what point are we going to stop calling James Talarico a Christian? The Apostle Paul warned young Christian leader Timothy about people like Talarico and his fellow-traveling progressive Christians:

But understand this, that in the last days there will come times of difficulty. 2 For people will be lovers of self, lovers of money, proud, arrogant, abusive, disobedient to their parents, ungrateful, unholy, 3 heartless, unappeasable, slanderous, without self-control, brutal, not loving good, 4 treacherous, reckless, swollen with conceit, lovers of pleasure rather than lovers of God, 5 having the appearance of godliness, but denying its power. Avoid such people.

2 Timothy 3:1-5 (ESV)

The Senate hopeful from Texas once used a heretical Gnostic “gospel” to call Jesus a feminist and preach in favor of transgenderism. He grew up in a church with squishy, unbiblical theology. He has repeatedly said that “God is nonbinary” and gushes over a “TransQueer, Latinx” activist theologian.

Talarico has been guilty of eisegesis (reading his own desired meaning into scriptural texts) time and time again. He even claimed to lefty podcaster Ezra Klein that the Bible doesn’t say you have to be a Christian to get into heaven.

Dems Worry James Talarico Lacks Support From Black Voters to Win Texas Senate Race– www.dailysignal.com

EXCERPT:

DAILY CALLER NEWS FOUNDATION—Democrats are warning that their party’s nominee to be the next senator for Texas, James Talarico, apparently lacks the amount of support from black voters he needs to flip the traditionally Republican state.

“Listen, my home state of Texas, we feel incredibly encouraged for two reasons,” Ashley Etienne, formerly the communications director for Democratic Vice President Kamala Harris, told “Meet the Press” host Kristen Welker on Sunday. “But the challenge is: the only way you win the state of Texas as a Democrat is if you overperform with Black voters.”

“I just came back from Houston last night, meeting with operatives on the ground and state elected officials. They are concerned that there’s mild enthusiasm among black voters and that this $25 million that Talarico promised he was going to spend over a month ago has yet to start to flow,” she continued.

“The investments aren’t there yet. And then you couple that with the fact that Elon Musk said he’s going to spend nearly $200 million on these races, and Texas is a huge target for that. And you’ve got a problem with black voters in Texas: you’ve got 34% of black men voting for Donald Trump. So if you’re going to wait until Labor Day to start campaigning with black voters, you’re playing to lose.”

Etienne’s warning follows that of Democratic Texas Rep. Jasmine Crockett, who fell short in the March 3, 2026, Senate primary to Talarico, 52.4% to 46.2%. The lame duck congresswoman similarly questioned whether black voters are energized by his candidacy.

“I personally don’t feel like the excitement necessarily exists within the black community right now, like I don’t feel like they’re excited, right?” Crockett said on Friday’s episode of the “Front Page” podcast.

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton accused state Rep. James Talarico (D-TX), his Democratic Senate rival, of election fraud after a report alleged that Talarico registered to vote at his mother’s Austin address shortly before filing to run for a Texas House seat.

Paxton seized on the allegations Tuesday, accusing Talarico of disregarding Texas election law to secure a safe Democratic seat.

“James Talarico has proven he has zero regard for Texans and the rule of law,” Paxton wrote on X.

The James Talarico campaign is not going well at all. He desperately wants to be the next Senator from Texas, but he’s got Jasmine Crockett supporters yelling at him at campaign stops now, and every day Talarico is changing his positions to better appeal to Texas voters.

Now, in an interview with Just the News, Texas State Rep. Steve Toth is describing how Talarico once mocked him for having childhood dyslexia. Talarico’s despicable attack came when State Rep. Toth introduced the Beckley Wilson Act (TX HB3928). That legislation improves how public schools evaluate and teach students with dyslexia, and it’s named for then-12-year-old Beckley Wilson, who testified to the Texas House Public Education Committee about her struggles in Texas Public Schools as a student with dyslexia.

The Beckley Wilson Act was signed into law by Gov. Greg Abbott in 2023.

In his interview, Toth described Talarico’s arrival to the Texas House and his behavior.

“This is a guy that came into the House in 2019 and he was one of the most caustic—we’re going to show video of him of who he was when he first came in. He was not this congenial, nice, sweet, kind boy-next-door.
