In a sign that all of Vice President Kamala Harris’s efforts to bust open the 2024 election have failed, Rasmussen Reports said on Thursday that former President Donald Trump has maintained a 2-point lead for a fifth straight week.
In its latest survey shared with Secrets, Rasmussen had Trump at 48% to 46% for Harris.
Trump has led in the Rasmussen survey for 12 straight weeks, back to the weekend President Joe Biden dropped out of the race on July 21 under pressure from top Democrats who felt he couldn’t win. At that point, Trump was leading Biden by 7 points.
What makes the Rasmussen poll different from many others is that it has not changed its formula, which is based on the 2020 turnout and gives the Democrats a slight edge based on Biden’s victory. It is also of likely voters.

Fox News made a last-minute pitch Wednesday to both the Donald Trump and the Kamala Harris campaigns for one more presidential debate before next month’s election.
Fox reported that it sent a letter from the network’s executives proposing to host a debate in Pennsylvania either Oct. 24 or 27, with Bret Baier and Martha MacCallum as moderators.

As The Federalist’s Margot Cleveland previously reported, Kennedy and Nixon electors cast their votes for their respective candidates when a disagreement arose over who won Hawaii’s electoral votes. While the state’s acting governor certified the election for Nixon initially, a legal challenge followed by a court decision ultimately resulted in Kennedy receiving the electoral votes.
APPEALS COURT SIGNALING TRUMP FRAUD CONVICTION MIGHT BE OVERTURNED – Leticia James had a bad day at court this week, with appellate court judges questioning the legitimacy of the charges being filed in the first place given the first overriding fact that there were no victims in this “fraud.” One U.S. attorney, Joyce Vance, is convinced it is more likely than not the charges are about to be thrown out.
Vance declared in her podcast, “My crystal ball is never very good on appellate courts. It sounds like an outright reversal, right, as opposed to a reduction. The U.S. attorney for the Southern District of New York indicted Adams Thursday on federal charges including bribery, wire fraud and conspiracy. The indictment capped one of at least five investigations swirling around the mayor and members of his inner circle over the last year and a half.
In another possible probe, the office of Manhattan District Attorney Alvin Bragg — which first indicted Adams fundraisers in July 2023 — seized yet another Adams official’s phone Friday, the same day federal law enforcement served her a subpoena.
