The second and final day of the historical Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas kicked off Thursday afternoon, after a hard charging first day, with speakers emphasizing the high stakes of the upcoming November election.
Featured speakers for Day 2 of the “Trump-a-palooza” include Speaker Mike Johnson (R-La.), Senator Ted Cruz (R-Texas), Health and Human Services Secretary Robert Kennedy Jr., Donald Trump Jr., Vice President JD Vance, and once again, President Donald Trump.
One of the first speakers, Baptist Pastor Robert Jeffress took the opportunity to excoriate James Talerico, the woke Texas Democrat running against Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton for Senate.
“The beliefs of James Talarico are certainly wrong, but they’re more than wrong. The beliefs of James Talarico are blasphemous. They are evil. And they are not beliefs that any true Christian can support,” preached Jeffress, the Senior Pastor at the First Baptist Church Dallas.
The far-left Talerico has been a frequent target of GOP barbs throughout the convention.
