To call euthanasia a slippery slope would be an understatement.
Euthanasia typically goes a little something like this. First, the powers that be claim it will solely be used for the terminally ill who are moments away from dying, but the patient is in unbearable pain. This then moves to patients with illnesses with no known cures. The bureaucracy then moves on to the mentally ill. And in the Netherlands, officials have gone so far down the slippery slope they are now applauding the first state-sanctioned killing of a TODDLER. YES. LET THAT SINK IN. And no, the young child was not terminally ill, according to reports.
According to Decision Magazine:
A Dutch review committee has determined that the decision to euthanize a nearly 2-year-old toddler with severe disabilities was “handled well”—while multiple Dutch doctors involved in the case opposed the decision, arguing the child could have improved under different medication.
To call this evil would not even begin to describe it.
The toddler, whose gender has not been disclosed, was the first child to be killed under an expanded euthanasia law in the Netherlands that extended the age limit of euthanasia to include children aged 1 to 12, if their parents agree.
