College students believe that hate speech targeting minorities should be more harshly punished than when it targets white individuals, a recently published study found.
A national survey of 3,065 college students used hypothetical statements from either professors or students, varying the identity of the disparaged group from white, black, Jewish, Muslim, or transgender.
The severity of the speech was also toggled between “objectionable” to “explicitly hateful” as students were asked to rate the statements’ impact and how administrators should respond.
“[I]dentical statements directed at minority groups elicit stronger punitive responses than those targeting white individuals,” according to the study’s abstract.
One in Three Democrats Admit to Wanting to Kill Trump
Nearly one third of Democrats responded yes to a poll question asking them if they’d support President Trump being assassinated to remove him from office. 23% said they’d feel very positive if the President were assassinated, while 8% said they would be somewhat positive. 25% most likely hid their true views, claiming they had no opinion one way or another.
A person who feels neither one way nor another about a political assassination is de facto admitting they approve of violence as a means of political persuasion. No person who disapproves of political violence would respond with no opinion. This poll most likely shows most Democrats (59%) support murder as a means of political persuasion, murder that would not stop with the President.

The majority of Democrats support the Democratic Socialists of America, a Quinnipiac University poll released Thursday found.
The latest survey shows among Democrat, 59% consider themselves DSA supporters, compared to just 30% do not. Out of total voters polled just 26% consider themselves supportive of the DSA, compared to 66% who do not consider themselves backers of the socialist group.
If a candidate for elected office identifies as a DSA supporter, 17% of respondents say it makes them more likely to back that candidate, the survey states. By comparison, 43% of voters say it makes them less likely to vote for that candidate while 35% of respondents say it makes no difference.
The DSA did not immediately respond to the Daily Caller News Foundation’s request for comment.
Several Democratic socialist candidates have notched primary wins in recent months. Darializa Avila Chevalier in New York, Melat Kiros in Colorado and Donovan McKinney in Michigan all defeated incumbent Democratic lawmakers while Chris Rabb in Pennsylvania and Claire Valdez in New York won their open seat races.
DSA supporters generally have high levels of education but tend to fall within lower- to middle-income brackets, the DSA North Star’s most recent survey shows.
“Our candidates are going up against corporate backed opponents, and they’re going to need your help to get over the finish line this November,” the DSA said in a Oct. 3, 2025 X post.
In June, the DSA released a new platform, dubbed “Workers Deserve More,” which in part proposes to “draft a new constitution, and create a democratic socialist republic.” The socialist group’s platform has drawn intense public criticism from congressional Republicans.

The Hawaiian Supreme Court has issued a recent ruling that spent tens of pages excoriating the Supreme Court of the United States. The majority held the Supreme Court was no longer valid because it overturned Roe, the 1973 ruling that decriminalized murdering unborn children.

Newsweek reports that DNC members approved the measure Saturday during the party’s summer meeting in Austin, Texas, calling on congressional Democrats to pass legislation eliminating ICE and winding down the federal immigration detention system.
The resolution also calls for withholding Department of Homeland Security funding unless the administration ends a series of enforcement practices, including workplace raids, large-scale roundups and arrests at courthouses and ICE check-ins.
It additionally demands the closure of immigration detention facilities, the termination of private detention contracts and the release of most immigration detainees while their cases proceed.

CNN feted self-avoided Marxist Hasan Piker on their “Whole Story” episode called “The Left Insurgency.” The show was billed as an objective examination of the rise of the Democratic Socialists. It ended up being a celebration of the rise of the DSA, with Hasan Piker featured in the event at the beginning and the end.
Hasan Piker has endorsed terrorism by Hamas and by Antifa regularly on his twitch streams, where hundreds of thousands of children and young adults regularly hear messages endorsing political violence. Piker ended the “documentary” by declaring “there is 0% chance that whoever the elected Democrat is that wins the primary will be pro-Israel in any way, shape or form. You’ll see.”
