President Donald Trump issued a rebuke of the state for allowing a 16-year-old transgender runner to compete. Trump said the inclusion of a biological male was “totally demeaning to women and girls” and threatened to pull funding from the state. McMahon confirmed on Fox & Friends that this would be a reality unless the state makes immediate changes.

“We are giving them 10 days to remedy the situation. We have a remedy for them, but if they do not comply within 10 days, we will refer this to the Department of Justice,” McMahon said. “They really need to send a letter of apology to all of the female participants in sports. They need to return the titles that were taken away from these women who competed and lost to the males in sports, and they just have to make it right to those women competitors.”

This follows Trump’s “Keeping Men Out of Women’s Sports” executive order, which clarified that Title IX, a law banning sex-based discrimination, would be enforced on the basis of biological sex. His administration argues that requiring biological females to compete against a transgender woman instead of having biological female-exclusive sports constitutes a civil rights violation.

Federal funding comprised over one-third, or $152.8 billion, of California’s 2024-25 budget, according to the California Budget and Policy Center. While McMahon did not detail how much federal funding could be lost due to this violation, she said it would be a “substantial amount.”

“They run the risk of losing their federal funding, in their K-12 schools, that’s where these infractions were committed,” McMahon said before paraphrasing Gov. Gavin Newsom’s (D-CA) take on the matter. “It’s very interesting to hear Gov. Newsom say it’s a matter of fairness. It is easy. Talk is cheap. I think he needs to put his money where his mouth is.”

A California man who was accused of conspiring with the man who blew himself up in an explosion that damaged a California fertility clinic was found dead in prison where he was awaiting trial.

Daniel Park, 32, faced conspiracy charges after being accused of sending explosive materials to Guy Edward Bartkus, who exploded a car bomb at American Reproductive Centers in Palm Springs last month, according to the New York Post.

Park was arrested in Poland after the attack and later returned to the United States.

“Daniel Park was found unresponsive at the Metropolitan Detention Center (MDC) in Los Angeles, California. Responding employees initiated life-saving measures. … Mr. Park was transported by EMS to a local hospital and subsequently pronounced deceased,” the Federal Bureau of Prisons said in a statement.

No further details were revealed.

According to the complaint against him, Park bought ammonium nitrate six times between October 2022 and May 2025, according to USA Today.

He is accused of shipping 180 pounds of ammonium nitrate to Bartkus in January. He paid for another 90 pounds of the chemical to be sent to Bartkus in May, the complaint alleged.

The FBI alleged that Park and Bartkus experimented with the explosives in January and February at Bartkus’ residence in Twentynine Palms. The FBI also alleged Park sent Bartkus money via PayPal.

Bartkus left behind extremist writings.

“A manifesto allegedly written by the man was posted online before the bombing. It has some similarities to the rantings of the far-left, who also hate Christianity and view being pro-life as fascist,” journalist Andy Ngo posted on X.

The state of Washington declared war on the Roman Catholic Church in May when Democrat Gov. Bob Ferguson signed Senate Bill 5375 into law. The bill requires Catholic clergy to break the seal of confession and inform on a penitent who confesses to child abuse.

The law gives priests a choice: Violate the sanctity of the confessional and suffer excommunication, or refuse to report the abuse and go to prison.

The sanctity of the confessional has been recognized in America since 1813, when a New York court refused to compel a priest to reveal what a man accused of stealing jewelry told him during confession.

Senate Bill 5375 “adds clergy to Washington’s list of mandatory reporters for child abuse but explicitly denies them the ‘privileged communication’ exemption granted to other professionals, such as nurses and therapists,” reports The National Catholic Register.

Two other states, New Hampshire and West Virginia, also require priests to report abuse without offering the confidentiality exemption for confession. Washington is different because it still affords attorney-client privilege and similar privileges for other professions.

“Senate Bill 5375 unconstitutionally forces Catholic priests in Washington to choose between their obligations to the Catholic Church and their penitents or face criminal consequences, while treating the priest-penitent privilege differently than other well-settled privileges,” Assistant Attorney General for Civil Rights Harmeet Dhillon said. “The Justice Department will not sit idly by when States mount attacks on the free exercise of religion.”

Prominent MAGA-aligned commentators launched xenophobic attacks on Zohran Mamdani over the 33-year-old state lawmaker’s Muslim religion following his apparent Democratic primary win in the New York City mayoral race.

In a series of posts, conservative social media personality Laura Loomer wrote “New York City will be destroyed,” Muslims will start “committing jihad all over New York” and that “NYC is about to see 9/11 2.0.”

If elected in November, Mamdani would become the first Muslim mayor in New York City’s history. And while many conservatives have criticized Mamdani’s progressive policies, others have taken aim at Mamdani for his religion.

“24 years ago a group of Muslims killed 2,753 people on 9/11,” conservative activist Charlie Kirk posted on X, referencing the number of people killed in New York. “Now a Muslim Socialist is on pace to run New York City.”

“New York City has fallen,” Donald Trump Jr. wrote, quoting a post by Michael Malice about when New Yorkers “endured 9/11 instead of voting for it.”

The recent Israeli and American strikes on Iranian nuclear facilities have been “extremely successful” in significantly delaying Iran’s nuclear program, according to Robert Greenway, a former senior intelligence officer at the Defense Intelligence Agency’s U.S. Central Command.

Greenway, who also served as a senior director for the National Security Council and principal architect of the Abraham Accords during President Donald Trump’s first term, questioned leaked intelligence assessments suggesting limited damage.

Speaking to Fox Business host Maria Bartiromo today, Greenway said the Israeli and U.S. operations damaged Iran’s most protected facilities and left the country with no meaningful air defenses.

“The United States and Israel enjoy complete freedom of action in the air over Iran,” Greenway said on “Mornings with Maria,” emphasizing that Iran “has no air defenses to speak of and no air force.”

Greenway expressed optimism that the weakened Iranian position creates favorable conditions for expanding the Abraham Accords, potentially including Saudi Arabia, and represents a fundamental shift in regional power dynamics.

He also suggested the strikes send important signals to other U.S. adversaries like Russia and China, particularly through renewed American influence over global energy markets.

Over the course of his third presidential campaign, President Donald Trump repeatedly presented himself as a defender of American Christians and his rivals, then-President Joe Biden and then-Vice President Kamala Harris, as opponents and even persecutors of the Christian faith. A new survey is showing that American Christians largely agreed with Trump’s rhetoric, even if not with all of his policy decisions. Change Research conducted what Time Magazine called “one of the largest polls of Christian voters ever to quantify the mood of the nation’s largest voting bloc,” and found that American Christians broadly do not trust the Democratic Party.

According to the survey, 75% of Christian voters say that they have “little or no trust in the Democratic Party,” while 58% say that party elites and leaders are “hostile to Christianity,” 54% say that even Democratic voters are “hostile to Christianity,” and 62% say that they would “never consider voting for a Democrat.”

Doug Pagitt, the “progressive pastor” who commissioned the study, told Time that Democrats have crippled their electoral prowess by ignoring and denigrating American Christians and Christian values. “You can’t be the majority party if you ignore the majority faith in this country,” he said. Pointing to the success Republicans have had with Christian voters, he continued, “Republicans have made a concerted effort. Democrats have done everything they can never to name that [Christian] identity. They have a built-in bias against these identities in the Democratic Party.” Pagitt opined that Democrats “squandered” their chances with Christian voters in the 2024 election. “They just walked away,” he said.

Every so often, an academic wrapped in the robes of theory decides to rewrite history — not to correct it, but to commandeer it.

The latest example comes from the Conversation, in which a University of Iowa scholar, Sarah Barringer, claims that Christianity has a “transgender” heritage. You heard that right: Saints who renounced the world to live in chastity and devotion are now being posthumously enlisted in a modern identity crusade they never chose.

The modern obsession with identity — splintering the self into ever-narrower categories — is antithetical to the Christian ethos.

Let’s acknowledge the truth up front: There is no such thing as a “transgender saint.” There are saints who disguised themselves, fled arranged marriages, and shaved their heads and donned robes to live among men in monasteries because that was the only place they could escape danger, obligation, or temptation.

But calling this “transness” is like calling Joan of Arc gender-fluid because she wore armor. It’s historical trespassing and spiritual identity theft dressed up as scholarship.

(LifeSiteNews) — U.S. government agencies have never engaged in open coercion to force down the birth rate, at least within the borders of the United States. (USAID’s past actions overseas are another matter.)…

The blueprint for this assault on American families and American fertility was drawn up way back in 1972 by something called the Commission on Population Growth and the American Future.

The Commission was the brainchild of one of America’s original population bomb fanatics, John D. Rockefeller III, who also happened to be one of the wealthiest men on the planet.

Like many of his fellow globalist elites—think Bill Gates and Warren Buffet—Rockefeller had long been convinced that Americans were having way too many babies. And he decided that it was past time to use a whole-of-government approach to put a stop to this reckless reproduction.

Rockefeller badgered President Richard Nixon into setting up the Commission on Population Growth in 1970 and appointing him as chairman. Over the next two years he steered it with an iron hand, using it to concoct a comprehensive plan that he hoped would stop America’s population growth dead in its tracks.

The report that he issued, called Population and the American Future, was a population controller’s dream. It began—as such screeds always do—with a stark warning: Unless something was done to stop America’s high birth rates, the population of the U.S. would explode from 203 million in 1970 to 300 million by 2000.

Grim consequences would follow, the report warned: Cities would become overcrowded cesspools of poverty and racial tension. Inequality would grow. Hordes of children would strain schools and other social services to the breaking point. Pressure on natural resources like water and energy would escalate as cities sprawled across the landscape, full of people sowing pollution wherever they went.

Starmer is taking the UK down a dark path.

The culture of death is taking hold of the United Kingdom.

A mere two days after the UK House of Commons voted to decriminalize late-term abortion ‘up to birth’, the Labour party of failing Prime Minister Keir Starmer has approved a bill legalizing assisted suicide.

Starmer was glad to vote for the bill, and – as proof of just how committed the UK has become to the culture of death – a good deal of Tories (including failed Globalist, former PM Rishi Sunak) and even Reform UK MPs also backed the bill.

The ‘Terminally Ill Adults (End of Life) Bill’ was approved in the House of Commons by 314 votes with 291 against, a majority of 23 (down from a majority of 55 in the last reading of the bill).

The Bill now goes to the House of Lords for further scrutiny, and if approved in the upper house it will ‘pave the way for assisted dying services to be introduced by the end of the decade’.

But there’s ongoing pushback from the right-thinking decent folk of Britain.

The Telegraph reported:

“Andrea Williams, chief executive of Christian Concern, said: ‘This should not be treated as a conscience issue. It is assisting a person to kill themselves. We need political parties and leaders to rise up who will speak clearly on this point and refuse to implement a state suicide service’ […] Ross Hendy, CEO of the charity, CARE, described the result as ‘a blow to human dignity and people whose legitimate fears have been dismissed as irrelevant’.

Author and communications strategist Joel Rosenberg is praying for the “liberation of Iran,” encouraging Christians to join him in asking God to change the tides inside the Islamic Republic.

“I don’t want to just destroy or neutralize the Iranian threat,” he said. “I want to see this wicked, demonic regime fall.”

Rosenberg, a bestselling author and the founder of The Joshua Fund, a group that provides humanitarian aid, said the current conflict between Israel and Iran is unlike anything he’s seen in the region during his more than 11 years living in the Jewish state.

“I have never seen a war as intense,” he said. “This is the most consequential war that Israel has ever fought since the War of Independence, in which seven Arab countries were attacking.”

Rosenberg said Iran’s purported nuclear ambitions posed a dire threat to Israel and created a situation that necessitated Israel’s military response — a preemptive reaction many never thought would happen.

“Nobody outside the country thought that Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu had the courage to do it, the will to do it … to attack Iran’s nuclear program when no one else would, and the ballistic missile program, and try to take out all of Iran’s top military leadership,” he said. “Even if Bibi Netanyahu was crazy enough to do it, everybody — all of our enemies and many of our allies — thought that every American president would stop Netanyahu from doing it the way President Obama stopped Netanyahu from doing it, President Biden stopped Netanyahu from doing it, and, in the last few months, it looked like President Trump did not wanna see a military attack, but here we are.”

Pope Leo XIV called the increasing tensions in the Middle East “alarming” and pushed for diplomacy as a path forward.

In a message that did not directly reference U.S. military action in Iran but came just hours after it, Leo said, “Today more than ever, humanity cries out and calls for peace.”

“This is a cry that requires responsibility and reason, and it must not be drowned out by the din of weapons or the rhetoric that incites conflict. Every member of the international community has a moral responsibility to stop the tragedy of war before it becomes an irreparable chasm. There are no ‘distant’ conflicts when human dignity is at stake,” he said after reciting the Angelus prayer in front of thousands of people in St. Peter’s Square.

“War does not solve problems; on the contrary, it amplifies them and inflicts deep wounds on the history of peoples which take generations to heal,” he added.

The U.S. strikes came nearly two weeks after Israel began attacking Iran’s nuclear facilities and its military infrastructure. Iran’s health ministry has said at least 430 people have been killed so far as a result of Israeli missiles, with Israel saying 24 people have been killed from Iranian strikes.

“Trust in the Lord with all your heart, and do not lean on your own understanding. In all your ways acknowledge him, and he will make straight your paths. Be not wise in your own eyes; fear the Lord, and turn away from evil. It will be healing to your flesh and refreshment to your bones.” Proverbs 3:5-8

  1. NOTE: Here is a special editor’s commentary from our publisher, Bill Collier, about what it means to trust God, a challenge for many during these trying times, and yet a source of comfort in the midst of chaos for many others.

Trust in God.

It’s so easily said. It just rolls out of your voice, almost as predictable as the tide.

But do we trust God?

I have been experiencing something like I haven’t experienced since I was maybe 10 years old. This “feeling” had been dormant in me for years, though I only realized it recently. It was a specific and unique feeling of joy/peace and quiet certainty that if I but stewarded my life and actions with honor to God as the driving energy behind that, God would take care of an outcome that serves my eternal good, even if suffering and loss in this life are needed to shape me into who He wants me to become.

Of course, I’m paraphrasing here; the kid version of me would have used much different language. Still, looking back, I realize, in essence, this is what I was really thinking in that incredible moment of joy/peace.

I do trust God, overall, but I have not been living in that joy/peace I experienced back then. I have not experienced the trust in God that gives you the REST within, replaces anxiety with peace, and gives a heart thankfulness, filled with the simple joy of following and knowing Jesus Christ.

Of course, this was not a deliberate choice, to kill this joy/peace within me, and it didn’t happen overnight. It was a gradual ebbing out of the spirit of peace as I struggled to finitely figure out for myself how to essentially save myself.

I trust God. I trust the outcomes. I trust when I am merely suffering the consequences of my own failing or mistake, knowing He has grace and mercy and that whatever is resetting me, if I give it to Him, He will transform me as I seek to obey Him until I can put those traits or flaws behind me.

I trust when I suffer for something that was not true, something that was a total lie (yet is laid at my charge), that God’s provision will give me exactly what I need to fulfill His purpose and intentions for my life.

I trust Him when the outcomes are good and bring joyful results, success, and prosperity. But I also trust Him when it seems that in every direction, there is bad news and failures.

I trust when I have more than I need or when I am totally lacking and overwhelmed by the needs I cannot at present meet.

I trust in Jesus Christ to shape and utilize me through this life experience to be prepared for my eternal destiny and to fulfill His scroll of destiny and purpose for me in this life as well.

I rest in that trust.

When anxiety comes because I want an outcome, fear an outcome, or am just confused and uncertain how to proceed, I just focus my heart and mind on the fact God oversees my life BECAUSE I have surrendered to Him. While I need to be a good steward through my worship of Him, He truly is in total control of my outcomes, and I surrender that to Him.

Being a good steward means you take responsibility for your actions, and you utilize all God has given you according to His design, His blueprint, and His purpose, to the best of your understanding and through the means God has given you.

Even if you fumble your stewardship in some way, seeking God and trusting that He will always control your outcomes for your eternal good, allows you to recover and be transformed until you no longer fumble in that manner.

Trust comes as we obey, and as we learn and grow through knowledge and experience over time, we become ever more attuned to God’s voice, understanding of God’s Word, and surrounded by wise Christian counsel through fellowship, and thus, we suffer less for our mistakes.

When we do suffer, it is not necessarily because we made a mistake or a bad choice, but we trust it serves God’s purpose.

As we learn to trust in bad times, we also learn to trust in good times. When riches increase, we do not set our hearts upon those riches. When we are praised and honored, we acknowledge our honor comes from God and goes back to God. When we no longer have the urgency of needing to retreat within ourselves to the Presence of God, we remember this need to abide under His shadow during good times as well, lest we become tempted by our own sense of well-being and our pride.

“Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution, or famine, or nakedness, or danger, or sword? As it is written, ‘For your sake we are being killed all the day long; we are regarded as sheep to be slaughtered.’ No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us. For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”Romans 8:35-39

I survey the unresolved problems I do not know how I will overcome, but yet, even here, I trust in God. I can see that when I lacked the ability, resources, or knowledge to solve a problem, it becomes resolved through God’s provision and/or guidance in sudden, unexpected ways.

Deus Ex Machina isn’t just a dramatic device, it’s real. I can attest to this fact, even through my marriage (maybe even especially through it).

I consider all the impossible things and trying things and what I must face or do that will be hard or have uncertain outcomes, and I yet trust in God. In suffering, the fellowship of His suffering is a place of honor. In happy prosperity, victory, and abundance, I guard my heart but revel in a thankful heart toward God for all He has done.

When I have abundance, I enjoy and take pleasure in distributing the benefits of living for Jesus and of His Kingdom to others. When I lack, I trust in Him and endure knowing these outcomes too serve God’s eternal purpose for my life, and I bear up, seeking counsel in the Word, the meditations of my heart, and the support and encouragement of my circles of family, friends, and fellow saints.

I say these things as a statement of faith, for I am not different than most in that I do not always do these things. But as I am learning to do these things more, I am experiencing more trust and more peace, and therefore more joy. Even in the midst of great blessings (and I have had plenty of those lately as well), I set not my heart upon them but stay in a place of seeking the JOY of HIS Presence.

It is easy for success to make you confident in your own false self-salvation powers; even great Kings of Israel fell to such snares. Remember Joash? He was the King who was saved from the only Queen of Judah, Athaliah, by Jehoiada the Priest.

She had murdered all the male descendants of Judah, save one (Joash), so she could take power for herself. Jehoiada protected the child Joash and worked to finally get him restored to the throne. He saved his life and his Kingship. These blessings were through God.

Under Jehoiada’s guidance, Joash was a righteous King, and his Kingdom prospered. After Jehoida died, Joash let men satisfy his ego, and he turned away from the Lord, ending his days by killing Jehoida’s son, Zechariah, for challenging his unrighteous ways (2 Chronicles 24).

I sense that old pure, innocent, and unquestioning faith in Jesus Christ in its joy and peace is growing anew, at a deep level to where I feel more fearless and overcoming, without fretting over results which, ultimately, I must acknowledge are in God’s hands. That is JUST where I WANT them to be. This means I surrender my expectations or desires as to outcomes, not that I don’t make my requests known or seek to be a good steward and work toward goals.

This isn’t laziness or pacifism. We bear stewardship responsibility for our actions; this includes how we manage and use everything God gives into our hands (stewardship).

Yet God knows we are a work in progress and ultimately, if we let Him, if we TRUST in Him and HIS ways, HIS timing, He will control the outcome for our eternal good. That is rock solid, and the more you live in that, the better your decision-making abilities will become, and the more peace and joy you will experience.

“At that time Jesus declared, ‘I thank you, Father, Lord of heaven and earth, that you have hidden these things from the wise and understanding and revealed them to little children; yes, Father, for such was your gracious will. All things have been handed over to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and anyone to whom the Son chooses to reveal him. Come to me, all who labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. Take my yoke upon you, and learn from me, for I am gentle and lowly in heart, and you will find rest for your souls. For my yoke is easy, and my burden is light.’”Matthew 11:25-30

Emmanuel Macron is facing a furious public backlash after his government refused to amend incest laws. Recent polling shows that there is high public support for a change to current legislation on incest.

A poll by Ipsos for Face à l’Inceste, the anti-incest association, found that 93 per cent of respondents wanted the notion to include cousins. Incest has remained a thorny social and political issue for France, where the word only appeared in the criminal law code in 2010.

Unlike the UK, there is no blanket ban on the custom, although marriages involving parents, grandparents, siblings and aunts and uncles are outlawed.

Experts in France argue that incest is a contributing factor in rape and sexual assault cases.

A 2020 study shows that about one in ten French people are victims, with father and father-in-laws the biggest perpetrators (32.7%), followed by uncles (17.9%).

While Face à l’Inceste says that up to 20% of incestuous assaults are committed by cousins.

The French government is believed to be concerned that any change to the incest law would inevitably force it to ban cousin marriages that are normal practice in some communities.

ROME — ROME (AP) — Pope Leo XIV warned Friday that artificial intelligence could negatively impact the intellectual, neurological and spiritual development of young people as he pressed one of the priorities of his young pontificate.

History’s first American pope sent a message to a conference of AI and ethics, part of which was taking place in the Vatican in a sign of the Holy See’s concern for the new technologies and what they mean for humanity.

In the message, Leo said any further development of AI must be evaluated according to the “superior ethical criterion” of the need to safeguard the dignity of each human being while respecting the diversity of the world’s population.

He warned specifically that new generations are most at risk given they have never had such quick access to information.

“All of us, I am sure, are concerned for children and young people, and the possible consequences of the use of AI on their intellectual and neurological development,” he said in the message. “Society’s well-being depends upon their being given the ability to develop their God-given gifts and capabilities,” and not allow them to confuse mere access to data with intelligence.

LGBTQ advocates have long allied themselves with diversity, equity and inclusion groups. Yet DEI’s legal troubles are causing some corporate sponsors to end their support for Pride activities.

Soon, Pride advocates may have legal problems of their own. That’s bad for Pride organizers, but it’s good for parents because rulings could spell out protections for parents and children from explicit sexual material in schools.

An April survey of corporate executives found that 39% of respondents “plan to reduce Pride-related engagement in 2025,” with 61% of these business leaders citing “pressure” from the White House as the primary reason for dropping support.

Some Pride organizations are reeling: Businesses such as Mastercard, Pepsi, Comcast and more did not contribute to Pride events—in fact, San Francisco’s Pride organizations saw fundraising fall by $200,000. New York City’s Pride fundraising dropped by 20%, while Salt Lake City’s Pride fundraising is down by nearly half a million dollars.

Companies were more interested in supporting Pride events and their DEI partners when federal officials allowed DEI offices in corporations and on university campuses to skirt civil rights laws.

According to Forbes, corporate fundraising for DEI “peaked” between 2016 and 2022, which happened to cover much of President Joe Biden’s administration. That administration did not call companies, universities and other organizations to account for DEI activities that may have violated the Civil Rights Act, such as racial favoritism in hiring.

In a unanimous move, the U.S. Supreme Court on Monday ordered New York’s highest court to reconsider its decision upholding a state mandate that forces religious employers to provide abortion coverage in their health insurance plans.

The Court’s unsigned order in Diocese of Albany v. Harris directs the New York Court of Appeals to reexamine the case in light of Catholic Charities Bureau v. Wisconsin, a recent ruling that reinforced constitutional protections for religious groups under the First Amendment’s Free Exercise Clause.

The ruling stems from a years-long legal battle involving a coalition of Catholic and Anglican nuns, dioceses, churches, and faith-based ministries. These organizations challenged New York’s 2017 abortion insurance mandate, arguing that it compelled them to violate their deeply held beliefs about the sanctity of life.

“When New York created this abortion mandate, it said it would protect religious groups,” said Lori Windham, a religious liberty attorney. “But religious ministries that serve all people, regardless of faith, were left out. Not even Jesus, Mother Teresa, or Mahatma Gandhi would qualify for New York’s stingy definition of religious freedom.”

The original New York law offered only a narrow exemption—limited to religious organizations that primarily employ and serve individuals of the same faith. That meant ministries that provide food, housing, and other essential services to the general public—including those of different faiths or none at all—were left with no protection.

On the heels of a Gallup survey noting that 54 percent of American men identify as pro-life (as opposed to 32 percent of women), a new Ipsos poll from the United Kingdom reveals a similar gender divide.

According to the new poll published on June 16, 71 percent of Britons believe that abortion should be legal “in most or all cases,” but between young men aged 16-34, this number plunges to 46 percent. The Ipsos survey was conducted between May 16 and 19 and surveyed 1,062 British people between ages 16 and 75.

According to Ipsos, 34 percent of Britons think that abortion should be legal in all cases, and 38 percent in most cases. Thirteen percent of Britons believe abortion should be illegal in most cases, and four percent believe it should be illegal in all cases. Ipsos noted that this “level of support has remained relatively consistent since 2022.”

Again, the surprise from the new Ipsos survey is the pro-life shift among young men. While 76 percent of men between the ages of 35 and 54 think abortion should be legal in most or all cases and 82 percent of men between the ages of 55 and 75, “less than half (46 percent) of men aged 16-34 believe that abortion should be legal in all or most cases.”

The Ipsos survey also revealed that there is no public push to change the law to decriminalize abortion up until birth, as MPs are likely to do this week. Forty-seven percent of Britons “believe the current 24-week time limit for most abortions in England and Wales is ‘about right,’ while almost a quarter—24 percent–think it is “too late.” Only four percent believe it is too early. Over half of those surveyed, 55 percent, think that the party who committed the abortion should receive a penalty.

“While the majority of Britons support legal abortion, with seven in ten in favour, our polling reveals a significant fault line: less than half of young men aged 16-34 agree,” noted Kate Duxbury of Ipsos. “This divergence, coupled with the fact that around half of Britons think the current 24-week limit is ‘about right’, highlights the complexities facing policymakers as they consider decriminalisation. It’s clear that public opinion is far from monolithic, demanding a nuanced approach to this sensitive issue.”

Cardinal Raymond Burke revealed that he has already spoken to Pope Leo XIV about the future of the traditional Mass, hoping that the Pope will follow the example of Benedict XVI.

Addressing participants of the Latin Mass Society’s 60th anniversary conference in London on Saturday, Burke spoke of his personal intervention to the new Pope regarding the future of the traditional Mass:

It is my hope that Leo XIV will put an end to the present persecution to the faithful in the Church who desire to worship God according to the more ancient usage of the Roman Rite, this persecution from within the Church.

I have already had occasion to express that to the Holy Father. It is my hope that he will – as soon as it is possible – take up the study of this question and try to restore the situation as it was after Summorum Pontificum and even to develop what Pope Benedict XVI had so wisely and lovingly legislated for the Church.

Burke, who spoke via a video-link to the conference, has been a leading proponent of the traditional liturgy for many years.

According to Robert Spencer, writing at Frontpage magazine, Iran’s Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps (IRGC) has opened a new theme park, “Heaven Time,” which is — bizarrely and ironically — designed to give visitors an up-close and personal experience of the torments of hell. They even have an exhibit of that name.

He writes that the oddly named Heaven Time theme park is located at the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps base in the northern Iranian city of Fouman.

Iran International, a Persian-language satellite television channel, recently reported that the exhibit is meant to “offer a visceral experience of the afterlife—particularly the torments of hell.”

Doesn’t that sound fun, kids?! I wonder how many rials it costs to get in?

Upon further reflection, the theme park seems redundant. I mean, Supreme Leader Ayatollah Ruhollah Khomeini and the IRGC have made certain Iranians are already living in hell. They don’t need to go to a theme park to see what it looks like.

Bishop Wilfred Chikpa Anagbe of the Diocese of Makurdi slammed the recent brutal attacks on Nigerian Christians by Fulani militias as part of a “genocide” in which the country’s government is complicit.

In a June 4 interview with ACI Africa, the bishop emphasized that the latest wave of Fulani terrorist attacks, which began May 25 and have continued into early June, resulting in the slaughter of at least 85 Christians, are part of a systemic genocide of the country’s Christian population. Anagbe also sharply criticized the Nigerian government for failing to protect the nation’s Christians against the continued attacks.

Nigeria has been named the most dangerous region for Christians.

“No nation watches her citizens slaughtered like animals and says there is nothing to be done. It’s genocide,” the bishop said.

The Fulani terrorists opened their wave of attacks on May 25, a Sunday, by massacring 20 lay Christians, as well as abducting a priest and several nuns. A week later, in another major attack on Sunday, June 1, the Fulani militias killed at least 43 Christians in Gwer West and Apa counties.

Today, Gallup released the results of its annual survey on abortion. Overall, the news is good for pro-lifers. A range of survey questions indicate that there was actually a slight increase in pro-life sentiment in 2025.

Overall, 43 percent of respondents identified as “pro-life,” a two percentage point gain from last year’s Gallup survey. There were also small gains in the percentage of people who thought abortion was “morally wrong” and the percentage of people who thought abortion should either be “illegal” or “legal in only a few circumstances.”

Most of the media coverage of this most recent Gallup poll has focused on a growing gender gap in abortion attitudes. From the mid-1990s into the late 2010s, most Gallup surveys found that men and women had fairly similar attitudes on abortion. As recently as 2019, men were actually more likely than women to identify as “pro-choice.” However, this most recent survey showed that 61 percent of women identified as “pro-choice” as opposed to only 41 percent of men — a 20 percentage point gender gap.

Free speech and religious freedom advocates, groups speaking out on the harms of radical gender ideology, and 22 states have filed friend-of-the-court briefs in support of two Vermont families who had their foster-care licenses revoked by Vermont because of their religious beliefs. On May 30, Alliance Defending Freedom attorneys representing the families filed their opening brief with the U.S. Court of Appeals for the 2nd Circuit in Wuoti v. Winters.

Despite a track record of success and high praise from social workers who knew Brian and Katy Wuoti and Bryan and Rebecca Gantt, Vermont’s Department for Children and Families revoked their foster-care licenses after the couples expressed their religiously inspired and widely held belief that girls cannot become boys or vice versa. The state applies this policy categorically—prohibiting families with these views from caring for any child, even if they sought to care for a relative, provide respite care for an infant for just one day, or care for a child who shared their faith.

“Vermont’s foster-care system is in crisis: There aren’t enough families to care for vulnerable kids,” said ADF Senior Counsel Johannes Widmalm-Delphonse. “As numerous states have attested, religious families play a critical role in the foster-care system. Yet instead of inviting families from diverse backgrounds to help care for vulnerable kids, Vermont is shutting the door on them, putting its ideological agenda ahead of the needs of suffering kids. When it comes to finding kids a loving home, everyone should be able to recognize that the needs of kids should come first. And even Vermont agrees that the Wuotis and the Gantts are loving and caring parents willing to open their door to any child.”

A pro-life marketing organization is fighting a lawsuit filed by a Massachusetts abortion facility that seeks to suppress the agency’s pro-life speech.

Four Women Health Services sued Choose Life Marketing earlier this year, claiming that its pro-life marketing efforts mislead women seeking abortions, according to a news release from Thomas More Society. Thomas More Society is a nonprofit legal organization representing Choose Life Marketing and one of the agency’s clients, a pro-life pregnancy center called Abundant Hope.

Choose Life Marketing’s attorneys filed a motion to dismiss the lawsuit in the U.S. District Court for Massachusetts June 3. According to the release, the agency’s marketing practices include promoting pregnancy centers’ resources for women, such as alternatives to abortion, adoption resources, and material assistance.

Last I checked, “pride” was considered the grandaddy of the seven deadly sins in the Christian faith.

Pretty much every one of the thinkers who dealt with this question in the first thirteen centuries of the church — from Pope Gregory I, who called it “the queen of sins” to Thomas Aquinas, who said it is “the cause whereby other sins are rendered more grievous” — agreed, and this was pretty much undisputed until the world started secularizing.

Now, we have a whole month dedicated to “pride” — in which another of the deadly sins, “lust,” is also heartily celebrated — and lo and behold, we have the left’s new favorite Christian prelate celebrating it heartily not just as a thing in itself but as an antidote to President Donald Trump.

Bishop Mariann Budde, the first female to hold that position in the Episcopal Diocese of Washington and now on minute 13.5 of her latest 15 minutes of fame for her version of performative Christianity at the National Prayer Service after Donald Trump’s inauguration in January — announced in an interview with USA Today published Monday that she’s now praying for pride.

A radical bill to expand assisted suicide in Oregon received strong pushback during a public hearing on Monday. SB 1003 would expand Oregon’s “Death With Dignity Act” (DWDA) to make it easier for practitioners to end the lives of medically vulnerable people through assisted suicide.

SB 1003 came before the Oregon Senate for its second public hearing on June 2 following strong opposition and subsequent amendments earlier in the legislative session. Medical and mental health professionals and advocates for the medically vulnerable expressed vigorous opposition to the bill, noting that the amended legislation still poses serious risks to medically vulnerable people in Oregon and nationwide.

“What we’re facing is not a decision on ‘death with dignity,’ we’re facing a decision on death on demand,” Oregon Right to Life political director Sharolyn Smith said in testimony during the public hearing, urging senators to reject the bill.

Smith noted that numerous efforts to expand the bill have taken place since the initial passage of Oregon’s DWDA in the 1990s. And even without expansion, the bill places the lives of medically vulnerable people at risk.
