Evidence of a Biblical city have been found by archaeologists as experts unveil secrets about the story of Moses leading the Israelites to the “Promised Land”.

Findings released by the Israeli Antiquities Authority, reveal artefacts such as stone walls and pottery from Zanoah – a town mentioned in the Old Testament.

The items date back more than 3,200 years, which coincides with the Bible when it stated that the Israelites reached the Promised Land – known as Canaan – around 1406 to 1407 BC.

More evidence of the Biblical story of Moses was also uncovered when a broken jar handle with the name of a king described in the Holy Book was found.

Teams located walls with rows of large, white rocks, which they believed were retaining walls for farming terraces.

The terraces were reportedly used to make level areas for planting and to protect steeper soil from erosion.

A piece of pottery which read “of the King,” was thought to be in honour of King Hezekiah’s reign in Judah in 701 BC.

The Department of Defense has informed the public this past Wednesday, July 10, that Pro-Life groups are terrorist organizations. They revealed this information at Fort Liberty’s Directorate of Emergency Services.

Citizen journalist Sam Shoemate on X revealed this fact in X posts where he said “An anti-terrorism brief was held on Fort Liberty (Bragg) today where they listed several Pro-Life organizations as ‘terrorist organizations.’ The slide you see here followed right after a slide about ISIS, a terror group in the Middle East.” The slide listed pro-life organizations and labeled them “TERRORIST GROUPS.”

The flipping of morality from one of finding shock at the very idea of murdering unborn children to finding shock at the very idea of being opposed to murdering unborn children is indicative of how far we’ve come as a people from valuing the sanctity of each individual life. Seeing our security institutions so dominated with such dark moralities should give all of us Americans pause, for if the government now openly seeks to criminalize the very thought of not sub-humanizing life, what chance is there it will value your human life?

The Biden administration’s Department of Defense has made a ridiculous move, labeling pro-life groups as “terrorist organizations” during an anti-terrorism briefing at Fort Liberty’s Directorate of Emergency Services (formerly Fort Bragg) on Wednesday.

This deeply concerning slide from an anti-terrorism brief was first exposed by citizen journalist Sam Shoemate on X.

“An anti-terrorism brief was held on Fort Liberty (Bragg) today where they listed several Pro-Life organizations as “terrorist organizations.” The slide you see here followed right after a slide about ISIS, a terror group in the Middle East,” Shoemate wrote on X.

The presentation slide, which has since circulated widely on social media, lists these pro-life organizations that oppose “Roe[sic] v. Wade” under a headline reading “TERRORIST GROUPS.”

The presentation specifically focuses on organizations such as National Right to Life and Operation Rescue, both longstanding pillars of the pro-life movement.

These organizations are dedicated to peaceful advocacy against abortion, grounded in the belief that every life is valuable and worth protecting…

The slide also displayed a New York license plate bearing the text “IM4IT” and a design promoting the “Choose Life” message.

“They also included a screenshot of a license plate with “IM4IT,” which is a plate many Pro-Life citizens put on their car which implies normal citizens are terrorists if they display this plate,” Shoemate wrote.

“Keep in mind they’re not labeling them as extremist organizations (which would still be crazy), but as terrorist organizations. The military and Dept of Defense are insanely out of control. Service-members are being indoctrinated to view Pro-Life groups as the enemy,” Shoemate added.

(LifeSiteNews) — As Hungary assumed the rotating presidency of the European Union on July 1, self-styled “Christian illiberal democracy” leader Viktor Orbán has announced a new vision for Europe.

“What Europeans want is three things: peace, order, and development,” Orbán said on June 30. “And what they are getting from the elite in Brussels today is war, migration, and stagnation.”

Orbán addressed a huge pro-peace rally earlier in June in Hungary and has called for the return of Donald Trump to the U.S. presidency to secure peace in the world. Yet these are not values shared by the E.U., nor in the wider liberal-global West.

Josh Hawley’s Christian Nationalism is not authoritarian Christian nationalism, but Mediaite hopes you won’t notice that – “Where a Christian majority exists, public life should be rooted in Christianity and its moral vision, which should be honored by the state and other institutions both public and private.” – Hawley’s brand of Christian Nationalism

Sen. Josh Hawley (R-MO) spoke at 2024’s National Conservatism conference — better known as NatCon — and made a bold declaration in support of Christian Nationalism.

Speaking from the podium during NatCon 4’s gala dinner on Monday, Hawley stated: “Some will say I am calling America a Christian nation, and so I am. Some will say I am advocating Christian nationalism, and so I am.”

…Hawley was one of several sitting U.S. Senators invited to speak at NatCon, which promotes far-right views on nationalism and states on its site: “Where a Christian majority exists, public life should be rooted in Christianity and its moral vision, which should be honored by the state and other institutions both public and

private.” (Just a couple of sentences later, it also states: “Adult individuals should be protected from religious or ideological coercion in their private lives and in their homes.”) While it does not specifically mention Christian Nationalism, it appears to go right up to the line. Hawley, on the other hand, appeared to step right on the line in his remarks.

The Vatican’s chief prosecutor has strongly defended the integrity and fairness of the city state’s justice system following criticism that Pope Francis’ absolute power and his interventions in the so-called “trial of the century” last year violated the defendants’ fundamental rights.

Prosecutor Alessandro Diddi’s defense comes as the Vatican tribunal finalizes its written reasonings for its December 2023 verdicts. The tribunal convicted a cardinal and eight others of various financial-related crimes related to the Holy See’s 350 million euro investment in a London property, but has not yet explained its decisions.

MILWAUKEE (BP) – A release of the Republican National Convention’s platform reveals a potential shift in the party’s focus on a federal abortion ban. The announcement came hours after the RNC’s platform committee met on Monday morning.

“We proudly stand for families and life. We believe that the 14th Amendment to the Constitution of the United States guarantees that no person can be denied life or liberty without due process and that the states are, therefore, free to pass laws protecting those rights,” according to a document released on The Hill.

The language clearly places the onus on state legislatures two years after the Supreme Court’s reversal of Roe vs. Wade.

“After 51 years, because of us, that power has been given to the states and to a vote of the people,” the platform states. “We will oppose late term abortion while supporting mothers and policies that advance prenatal care, access to birth control, and IVF (fertility treatments),” according to the released document.

A story in the bible about the armies of the Assyrian King Sennacherib being slaughtered by the Angel of the Lord (Christ, to some) has been partially confirmed by new archeological evidence of the army camps that would have existed during that period. The story comes from the Old Testament in 2nd Kings chapter 19 and 2nd Chronicles chapter 32.

Archeologist Stephen Compton has claimed to discover the remains of the camps that would have existed at the beginning of the 7th Century BC. Compton wrote of his discovery “Each was a round site a little over a mile north of the respective old city walls and each bore the same Arabic name on at least one early map, ‘Mudawwara.”

Researchers have discovered an ancient military base that may corroborate a Bible story about God’s angels fending off an attack on Jerusalem.

The tale says that around 2,700 years ago, the Lord sent a messenger angel to fight an army of Assyrian soldiers who came to conquer the Holy Land.

The Angel of the Lord is then said to have descended on the invading military and killed 185,000 soldiers in a single night.

There has not been any archaeological evidence that the supernatural event – or even the battle – actually happened.

Now, using modern mapping techniques, archaeologist Stephen Compton claims he has found more evidence the epic battle took place.

King Sennacherib who ruled the Assyrian Empire from 705 to 681 BC laid siege on Jerusalem to capture all paths leading to the Mediterranean Sea. Pictured: (Top) A 1930s aerial image of Jerusalem (Bottom) The drawings found on Sennacherib’s palace wall
The carvings showed how the military base was laid out, allowing Compton to compare it to photos taken of the area in the 1910s

ISIS has claimed responsibility for recent attacks in the Democratic Republic of Congo (DRC) that resulted in the death of more than 80 Christians and the closure of several churches in the nation.

The Islamic terrorist group said through a post on their Telegram channel, “More than 60 Christians were killed, including a Congolese army officer, in an attack by Caliphate soldiers in eastern Congo.”

It was the latest in a series of attacks where jihadists with the ISIS-affiliated Allied Democratic Forces launched coordinated assaults in North Kivu province.

Agence France-Presse reports nearly 150 people have been killed by the group since the beginning of June, including on June 7th where at least 41 were killed, some of whom were found “tied up” and “decapitated.”

The US Episcopalian Church (ECUSA) is reviving plans for potential full communion with the United Methodist Church (UMC) after the UMC voted to end restrictions on LGBTQ+ clergy and same-sex weddings at its General Conference last month.

UMC Delegates voted to lift a decades-long ban on ordaining “self-avowed practising homosexuals” as priests and marrying same-sex couples.

Last week, ECUSA’s General Convention vowed to “continue dialogue” with the UMC “with the goal of reaching full communion” and to “celebrate” the UMC’s “historic and sweeping changes” to its Book of Discipline and Social Principles.

A plan for unity between the two denominations was paused in 2020, after the UMC’s General Conference was postponed multiple times due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Prior to a vote on full communion, The ECUSA has called for plans to be drawn up that outline how ordained ministry will be recognised by each denomination, as well as “principles for the orderly exchange of ministers”.

The report stated: “swift and impartial justice must be served to restore faith in the legal system… and to hold police officials accountable for their inaction.”

It demanded that “no false blasphemy charges be registered against any Christian and that protection be provided to them.”

The Evangelical church’s place of worship, Breccia di Roma, is not an official church. The congregation should, therefore, pay taxes. On Thursday, the Supreme Court in Italy confirmed the Tax Agency’s decision, settling a five-year-old legal battle.

The Protestant church plant Breccia di Roma had been waiting for the Supreme Court to rule on whether its meeting house could officially be considered a place of worship and, as such, exempt from taxes, as the Italian law provides.

On Thursday, June 12, 2024, the court ruled against the church. After winning two previous rulings in lower courts, the church lost the final appeal.

The largest Protestant denomination in the country voted this week to oppose in-vitro fertilization (IVF).

FOX News reported that the Southern Baptist Convention (SBC) “passed a resolution on Wednesday opposing the use of IVF technology due to the regular destruction of human embryos in the process.”

The SBC titled its resolution, passed during its annual meeting in Indianapolis, “On the Ethical Realities of Reproductive Technologies and the Dignity of the Human Embryo.”

“Southern Baptists have historically affirmed the value of every human life and opposed the use of technology that disregards the sanctity of human life,” it stated.

“The [IVF] process routinely generates more embryos than can be safely implanted, thus resulting in the continued freezing, stockpiling, and ultimate destruction of human embryos, some of whom may also be subjected to medical experimentation,” the resolution continued:

[IVF] most often participates in the destruction of embryonic human life and increasingly engages in dehumanizing methods for determining suitability for life and genetic sorting, based on notions of genetic fitness and parental preferences

A Missouri judge has determined that state lawmakers did not intend to impose their religious beliefs on residents when they passed a strict abortion ban. This ruling comes in response to a lawsuit from over a dozen Christian, Jewish, and Unitarian Universalist leaders who support abortion rights.

Last year, the groups sought a permanent injunction to prevent Missouri from enforcing its abortion law. They also requested a declaration that certain provisions violate the state Constitution.

One part of the statute in question reads: “In recognition that Almighty God is the author of life, that all men and women are ‘endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable Rights, that among those are Life.'”

Judge Jason Sengheiser noted in his ruling that similar language is found in the preamble to the Missouri Constitution, which refers to a “profound reverence for the Supreme Ruler of the Universe.” He pointed out that the rest of the challenged provisions do not contain explicit religious language.

The Collin County town of Fairview is fighting back against the proposal by Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to build a temple with a spire over 170 feet tall, according to recent reports.

The church wants to build the McKinney Texas Temple — first announced in October 2022 — next to one of its existing churches in Fairview, according to the church’s website. However, Fairview residents have come out strongly against the proposal.

The controversy is not due to the temple’s religious affiliation but rather its size.

The temple, is planned for a site that is a little more than 8 acres along Stacy Road, next to one of the church’s meetinghouses. It would be about 44,000 square feet and multiple stories, according to the church’s website.

Pope Francis delivered the first-ever papal address at a G-7 conference on Friday, warning about the ethical pitfalls of artificial intelligence.

The pope told the council of world leaders in Fasano, Italy, that AI offers immense benefit to the human race, but also threatens to dehumanize society.

“The question of artificial intelligence, however, is often perceived as ambiguous: on the one hand, it generates excitement for the possibilities it offers, while on the other, it gives rise to fear for the consequences it foreshadows,” Pope Francis said in his remarks.

The following is an update from Leonardo De Chirico and Clay Kannard, pastors of the Breccia di Roma evangelical church in Rome, Italy. Read about their legal process to defend their right to a recognised place of worship in this Evangelical Focus article from July 2023.

Quite unexpectedly, the Italian Supreme Court has decided to annul the two previous rulings in our favor and finally close the case. It ruled that our property is not a place of worship because, after purchasing it, no “structural changes” were made to make it so.

The underlying reasoning went against the previous two courts which, on the contrary, had recognised the principle of religious liberty that the faith community determines the appropriateness of its places of worship.

Amid the escalating Israel-Hamas conflict, many Religious leaders have been asking: Are we witnessing the biblical prophecy of the war of Gog and Magog? This ancient prediction from the Book of Ezekiel has captivated religious scholars and believers for centuries, forecasting a cataclysmic battle preceding the Messianic era. As the conflict in Israel intensifies, this question gains urgency and relevance.

The prophecy of Gog and Magog is found in the Book of Ezekiel (chapters 38-39), describing a future battle where a coalition of nations, led by Gog from the land of Magog, will rise against Israel. This event is said to precede the Messianic era, marking a climactic confrontation between good and evil. The prophecy details a catastrophic war followed by divine intervention, where God will decisively defeat the enemies of Israel, leading to a period of peace and recognition of God’s sovereignty.

ROME — The Rome LGBTQ+ Pride parade celebrated its 30th anniversary Saturday as tens of thousands of people in brightly colored outfits marched through the Italian capital waving banners, dancing and singing as they marked gay rights and poked fun at Pope Francis.

Many of the signs and banners at the parade made fun over a recent comment made by the pontiff.

The Pope had to issue an apology last month after Italian media quoted unnamed bishops saying that Francis jokingly used the term “faggotness” while speaking in Italian during a meeting. He had used the term in reaffirming the Vatican’s ban on allowing gay men to enter seminaries and be ordained priests.
