Courts in Michigan and North Carolina on Monday rejected separate lawsuits from the Republican National Committee that sought to ensure only individuals who have actually stepped foot in the states can participate in elections there.

The lawsuits, both brought in part by the RNC, took “issue with how the states apply the Uniformed and Overseas Citizens Absentee Voting Act (UOCAVA), which requires states to allow certain overseas citizens … to register and vote absentee,” as The Federalist previously reported. The lawsuits alleged that election officials in the states are violating their respective constitutions by opening the door for individuals who have never resided in these states to vote there.

In the Michigan case, plaintiffs, including the RNC and the state GOP, specifically challenged what they alleged to be “unlawful instruction” from Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson’s Election Officials Manual which says that “a United States citizen who has never resided in the United States but who has a parent, legal guardian, or spouse who was last domiciled in Michigan” to vote in the state “as long as the citizen has not registered or voted in another state.”

In her ruling on this case, Michigan Court of Claims Judge Sima Patel essentially argued that plaintiffs filed the suit too late. Patel sided with, as she referred to them, the already “busy” election official defendants, suggesting they should not be expected to “create an entirely new process” to separate ballots “issued to members of the subject group who have
never resided in Michigan and remove them before tabulation” in the upcoming election.

In a press release, Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton announced troubling findings in his office’s investigation into left-wing fundraising arm ActBlue. Several states have opened investigations into ActBlue after James O’Keefe and other independent investigators uncovered highly questionable donations across the country.

On Monday, Paxton announced that he will sent a Petition for Rulemaking to the Federal Election Commission (FEC) “detailing how suspicious actors appear to be using ActBlue’s political fundraising platform to make a large number of straw political donations.”

In December 2023, Paxton opened an investigation after a number of reporters uncovered dozens of highly suspicious donations. Investigative researcher Parker Thayer, who works with the Capital Research Center, shared a screenshot showing tens-of-thousands of donations allegedly sent by the same Michigan individual.

“A single donor in the small town of Monroe has supposedly donated over 20,000 times since 2019, totaling >$40,000,” Thayer wrote. “They live in a 1,000 sqft house built in 1956.”

“There are dozens more donors like the examples above, and there are two explanations,” Thayer wrote. “1. [ActBlue] is preying on seniors with poor memory by repeatedly sending them requests to sign up for stacking monthly contributions. 2. Some sort of straw-donor scheme is happening.”

Donald Trump has taken a narrow lead over Kamala Harris with less than two weeks until election day, according to a Wall Street Journal poll published Thursday.

Trump has pulled out in front with a 47-45 lead, a change from the Journal’s polling in August, which had Kamala ahead by two percentage points. The two percentage points are within the poll’s margin of error.

Harris’s favorability and job performance numbers have dropped since August while Trump’s job performance numbers has risen. In August, half of voters viewed her favorably. Now, as of late October, 45 percent view her favorably compared to 53 who view her unfavorably, according to the poll.

Harris is also seeing her worst job performance ratings as vice president since WSJ started asking voters about her performance. Fifty-four percent of voters disapprove of her performance compared to 42 percent who approve.

Time is running out before Election Day, and Democratic nominee Kamala Harris appears to be increasingly desperate.

As President Donald Trump’s advantage grows in nationwide and battleground state polls, Harris has latched on to a widely debunked claim that Trump once voiced his admiration for Adolf Hitler.

Not only did the Trump campaign unequivocally deny any such allegation, but CNN pundit Scott Jennings offered a scathing assessment of Harris’ latest line of attack.

While both the former president and his presidential campaign have responded accordingly, GOP strategist/political analyst Scott Jennings, fresh off of triggering his colleagues on the Doug Emhoff abuse scandal, brought up another great point during a Wednesday CNN segment about why Harris’ argument about Trump bombs so badly:

It probably will shock Kamala Harris and the rest of her campaign staff to learn that there are incumbent Democrat US Senators in this country right now running television ads touting all their work with this “modern-day Hitler.”

Trump complains about rising prices but only Harris has come forward with realistic plans to rein in costs for food, housing and energy, he said. He touted her proposals to crack down on price gouging, increase housing supply and support domestic production of both renewable energy and fossil fuels.

“What did she say? ‘Let’s solve the problem.’ What did he say? ‘Let’s lay the blame,’” Clinton said. “I’m telling you, if you want a president to do a real job, you have to find somebody who will take responsibility and find a better way.”
