Briscoe Cain (R-TX) demanded the “immediate termination” of Bredt. Following a December 30 letter, 62-year-old Bredt escaped being fired by submitting retirement paperwork on January 7.

Bredt had been employed in this public capacity since 2012, earning $185,000 annually. According to his resumé, he was working for Planned Parenthood South Texas in 2011 — even before he began fulfilling his public role with the state licensing board.

Last week, the U.S. Second Circuit Court of Appeals unanimously ruled to reinstate a legal challenge brought by several pro-life organizations against a New York law that undermines their First Amendment rights to employ people who agree with their religious beliefs and mission. The Second Circuit reversed a district court’s 2020 dismissal of the case and sent it back to the lower court with instructions to adjudicate the challenge under a more recent 2023 precedent that may give their First Amendment claims merit.

In CompassCare v. Hochul, the case centers around New York Labor Law Section 203-e, which remains effect, and prohibits employers from engaging in “discrimination based on an employee’s or a dependent’s reproductive health decision making.” CompassCare, a pro-life pregnancy care center, the National Institute of Family and Life Advocates (NIFLA), a nationwide association of pro-life pregnancy care centers, and First Bible Baptist Church brought the case to protect their ability to employ only like-minded people who will not take part in abortion themselves. The organizations seek an injunction to render the law unconstitutional by contending the law infringes on their First Amendment freedoms of expressive association. They argue the law forces them to employ and associate with those who do not share the organizations’ beliefs regarding abortion, contraception, and sexual morality.

Babies murdered in Planned Parenthood Clinics whose bodies manage to survive the slaughter intact are being sold to a University that is conducting “experiments” on the murdered child’s body. The report came from The Center for Medical Progress (CMP).

They learned of this program through emails obtained through a FOIA request that reveals a “Research Plan” to find and harvest the babies needed for these experiments. The plan was formally approved in 2018 by the University of California San Diego, who would purchase the dead children from Planned Parenthood.

Planned Parenthood has been providing “viable nonanomalous” babies killed in “elective abortions” to the University of California San Diego (UCSD) for experimentation, according to a new report.

Published by The Center for Medical Progress (CMP), the emails detail a “Research Plan” that documents the harvesting of babies for experimentation on their bodies. The plan was submitted to and approved by UCSD’s Institutional Review Board (IRB) in 2018. The heavily redacted communications were obtained by the group via open records request.

According to the records reported by CMP, researchers unveiled plans in their submission to “collect tissues from fetuses ranging from 4 to 23 weeks gestational age from subjects undergoing elective surgical pregnancy termination at Planned Parenthood in San Diego.” The researchers further noted that patients with “viable nonanomalous … fetuses” would partake in the analysis.

Planned Parenthood will gather “evidence of fetal heart activity by ultrasound immediately prior to the dilation and evacuation procedure,” the submitted plan reads. The abortion provider aimed to harvest babies from “up to 2,500 patients,” according to the plan.

As noted by CMP, the “majority of healthy infants born at 23 weeks can survive with modern medical care.”

One of her flagship policies is the creation of a “Choice Protection Unit” that would specifically target pro-life activists with potential prosecution, according to her campaign platform. Pro-life demonstrators have long faced prosecution from federal and state authorities for protesting near abortion clinics.

“Illinois has had a 70% increase in out-of-state visitors coming to our state for abortion services. The monthlong closure of the Asheville Planned Parenthood has forced patients to travel hours for care. Massive Democratic-aligned dark money networks, the Soros family, D.C.-based liberal advocacy groups and public-sector unions have rallied behind Floridians Protecting Freedom (FPF), spending millions to support the group’s effort to repeal Florida’s prohibition on abortion after fetal heartbeats are typically detected, campaign finance records show. FPF is the primary group supporting an initiative on November’s ballot to amend the state’s constitution by creating a constitutional right to terminate one’s pregnancy.

To be added to the state’s constitution, the amendment would need to attract 60% support on election day. A poll in June found that 69% of voters supported that amendment, though an October poll recently found that just 60% of voters reported supporting the abortion initiative, according to the Tallahassee Democrat.

“Now, just barely reaching the 60% it needs to pass, it looks like the fate of abortion in Florida will come down to turnout on Election Day,” University of North Florida political science professor Michael Binder told the Tallahassee Democrat.
