President Donald J Trum has given TikTok 90 more days to make a deal with American owners before it once again faces a ban. The President signed an executive order to extend the deadline. He was empowered to do so after SCOTUS upheld the law passed under the Biden administration banning the app.

A federal ban on TikTok will not be enforced for at least another 90 days following an executive order signed by President Donald Trump.

The viral video app, which is linked to the Chinese Communist Party (CCP) and collects massive amounts of personal data on Americans, is supposed to shut down or be sold to an American buyer.

As previously reported by LifeSiteNews, President Joe Biden signed the law last April with the support of many in both parties, due to Chinese parent company ByteDance’s links to the ruling CCP and its military and surveillance operations, sparking national security concerns over the Chinese regime’s access to the personal data of TikTok’s American users. The Supreme Court upheld the law in a 9-0 decision in January, soon before Trump took office.

The Biden administration delayed a decision in the final days in office, deferring to President Trump instead. He previously sanctioned TikTok and essentially banned it but changed his position in 2024 days after meeting with GOP mega-donor and TikTok shareholder Jeff Yass. Biden, for his part, had reversed Trump’s initial ban in 2021 before signing a law to ban it years later.

TikTok praised Trump in a statement. “We are grateful for President Trump’s leadership and support in ensuring that TikTok continues to be available for more than 170 million American users and 7.5 million U.S. businesses that rely on the platform as we continue to work with Vice President [JD] Vance’s Office,” the company told the media.

CHINA has given rare insight into its souped-up DF-5B nuclear missile – a 7,500-mile-range weapon with staggering explosive power.

The missile is said to pack hundreds of times the destructive force of the bombs that devastated Hiroshima and Nagasaki, killing tens of thousands in World War II.

Although China has long kept its nuke programme secret, state broadcaster CCTV revealed details about the upgraded DF-5B intercontinental ballistic missile (ICBM) on Monday.

This missile boasts a maximum range of 7,500 miles and an accuracy of 0.3 miles, as per reports by journalist Li Zexin on X.

This range is enough to reach most of Europe and nearly all of the US from launch sites inside China.

For example, the distance from Beijing to London is around 5,000 miles and from China to New York is roughly 7,000 miles.

The DF-5B is said to deliver a yield of three to four megatonnes.

In the latest conflict between Pakistan and India, Pakistan used weapons systems imported from China, with varying degrees of success. Pakistan is a crucial customer for Chinese weapons exports, with 63 percent of China’s arms exports going to Pakistan between 2020 and 2024. The conflict offered an opportunity to observe how Chinese-provided weapons performed against Western-provided and Indian weapons. We asked four experts: What lessons are Pakistan and China — as well as their partners and adversaries — learning from the recent Indo-Pakistani conflict, in terms of how Pakistan used Chinese-supplied weapons and technology? China said it is “gravely concerned” about President Donald Trump‘s ambitious Golden Dome project, and warned that it could upset the global strategic balance.

On Tuesday, Trump announced the Golden Dome project — a concept initially pitched during his campaign that reflects Israel’s Iron Dome but is now more analogous to former President Ronald Reagan’s Strategic Defense Initiative, better known as Star Wars. Trump explicitly drew connections to Reagan’s project in his Tuesday presentation, leading some analysts to describe the project as “Star Wars on steroids.”

Expectedly, China is playing the role that the Soviet Union previously played, and it has expressed concern over the project’s strategic implications.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Mao Ning expressed her country’s concerns during a Wednesday press conference, saying the “unconstrained, global, multilayer and multidomain missile defense system” will “expand the U.S. arsenal of means for combat operations in outer space, including R&D and deployment of orbital interception systems.”

“That gives the project a strong offensive nature and violates the principle of peaceful use in the Outer Space Treaty. The project will heighten the risk of turning the space into a war zone and creating a space arms race, and shake the international security and arms control system,” she added, according to a transcript from the Chinese Ministry of Foreign Affairs.

A new Chinese drone carrier that can release up to 100 smaller drones at a time could take to the skies for a test flight within days, state broadcaster CCTV has said.

The unmanned “drone mothership,” known as Jiu Tian or Nine Heavens, will be deployed by the People’s Liberation Army (PLA) air force and aims to lay the groundwork to expand the reach of aerial combat.

When it is fully operational, Jiu Tian will release vast swarms of drones that would work together to overwhelm an enemy’s air defence systems.

A video circulating on X shows a visualisation of Jiu Tian’s capabilities and its ability to deploy several drones at the same time from both sides of its fuselage.

China Is Determined to Hold Firm Against Trump's Pressure ...

In a move that seems to be an absolute reversal of his previous policies, President Trump has announced plans to allow 600,000 Chinese students to go to American universities, though they can only stay for 4 years.  Trump defended the decision, claiming “We’re getting along very well with China…it’s very insulting to say ‘students can’t come here.”

He offered more defense, further claiming “Because they’ll go out and start building schools … but I like that [China’s] students come here. I like that other countries’ students come here. And you know what would happen if they didn’t? Our college system would go to hell, very quickly. … And it wouldn’t be the top colleges; it would be colleges that struggle on the bottom. …

And I told this to President Xi: That we’re honored to have their students here. Now with that, we check, and we’re careful, and we see who’s there … But we have a tremendous college system, the best in the world. Nobody even close — that’s why China sends them here. You can call it an industry if you want … I’m honored to have the students from China come here.”

President Trump and his administration are facing blowback for their plan to allow hundreds of thousands of Chinese nationals to continue studying at U.S. universities — and rightly so.

Throughout the past several days, America’s commander-in-chief has doubled down on his ill-advised infatuation with granting these individuals access to the United States’ premier academic institutions.

After first claiming on Monday that it’s “very important” to allow 600,000 Chinese students to attend American colleges — more than double the estimated number admitted annually — Trump reaffirmed his support for such a policy during a Tuesday cabinet meeting. Speaking to reporters, the president contended that “it’s very insulting to say [China’s] students can’t come here.”

“Because they’ll go out and start building schools … but I like that [China’s] students come here. I like that other countries’ students come here,” Trump said. “And you know what would happen if they didn’t? Our college system would go to hell, very quickly. … And it wouldn’t be the top colleges; it would be colleges that struggle on the bottom. … And I told this to President Xi: That we’re honored to have their students here.”

According to Townhall’s Katie Pavlich, a White House official has since claimed that “President Trump isn’t proposing an increase in student visas for Chinese students,” but that “[t]he 600k references two years worth of visas.”

“It’s simply a continuation of existing policy,” the official reportedly said.

Developing world is awash in pesticides - does it have to be?

Chinese gangs are allegedly running illegal marijuana farms in Northern California through which they are smuggling in dangerous pesticides that threaten the flora and fauna of the region, including humans themselves. The intent behind it seems two-fold, to efficiently grow their cash crops and ruin the American ecosystem. Operations have also been reported in Maine, Oklahoma, and New Mexico.

Lt. John Nores Jr. of the California Department of Fish and Wildlife said, “These criminal organizations use such a  deadly, potent, toxic chemical because it absolutely keeps everything off their cash crop.”

Chinese criminal organizations have infiltrated California’s black-market marijuana industry, smuggling toxic pesticides that authorities warn could cause decades of environmental damage, NewsNation reported Sunday.

The illegal pesticides are killing wildlife and destroying ecosystems across northern California, where Chinese cartels operate large-scale marijuana growing operations using trafficked migrant workers, authorities told NewsNation.

“A lot of the chemicals that are being used are hazardous to humans,” Matt Kendall, Mendocino County Sheriff, stated.

Kendall confirmed authorities have identified a pattern of Chinese cartels controlling these operations and potentially using violence to protect their enterprises, the outlet reported. The criminal organizations allegedly rely on migrant workers trafficked into the United States specifically to cultivate black-market marijuana.

President Donald Trump’s plan to allow 600,000 Chinese student visas to be issued drew strong criticism from the right on Monday and Tuesday.

The proposal comes as the president is amid trade talks with China, and backers of the plan could be necessary to keep certain universities afloat, whereas others say it could hinder the opportunities of American students.

“I hear so many stories that we’re not going to allow their students,” Trump told reporters as trade talks with China are ongoing.

“We’re going to allow their students to come in. It’s very important, 600,000 students. It’s very important. But we’re going to get along with China,” he continued.

Trump expanded on his comments during a Cabinet meeting at the White House on Tuesday.

I think it’s very insulting to say students can’t come here because they’ll go out and start building schools and they’ll be able to survive it. But I like that their students come here. I like that other countries’ students come here. And you know what would happen if they didn’t? Our college system would go to hell very quickly. And it wouldn’t be the top colleges, so it’d be colleges that struggle on the bottom. And you take out 300,000 or 600,000 students out of the system,” Trump said.

I like having, and I told this to President Xi that we’re honored to have their students here. Now, with that, we check in with careful and we see who’s there,” he added.

Chinese leader Xi Jinping made a rare visit to Tibet on Wednesday to mark the 60th anniversary of the consolidation of Beijing’s long-contested rule over the Himalayan territory.

Xi arrived in Tibet’s regional capital of Lhasa, where he “received a warm welcome from people of various ethnic groups” who waved bouquets of flowers and danced “to joyful rhythms,” the Xinhua News Agency said.

The agency said Xi urged the building of a “modern socialist” Tibet “that is united, prosperous, civilized, harmonious and beautiful.”

Communist forces occupied Tibet in 1951. In 1965, Mao Zedong’s single-party dictatorship established the Tibet autonomous region. Decades of political repression followed, including the demolition of some Buddhist monasteries and the imprisonment of monks.

However, most people have heard of the Uyghurs.

Under both the first Trump and Biden administrations, Washington argued that it needed to limit China’s technological development by barring more and more sensitive products from being exported to its strategic rival. Now, Trump’s decision to allow Nvidia and AMD to sell their advanced AI chips to China in exchange for a 15% cut of their revenue turns the export control regime into something like a bargaining chip.

The Trump administration is already positioning the deal as a playbook for other products and industries. “Now that we have the model and the beta test, why not expand it?” U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent said on Bloomberg TV on Wednesday.

The Chinese Communist Party has now been exposed for building an advanced nationwide digital surveillance system for the Serbian government that is currently being used to shut down the resistance to the regime. Citizens have been protesting since a November 2024 train station canopy collapse that killed 16 people.

The government led by the Serbian Progressive Party (SNS), led by President Alexsander Vucic, is being accused of being corrupt to the point of making Serbia a dangerous place to live due to mismanaged public works projects. Now, protestors are being met with pro-government counter-protestors, with the violence reportedly only increasing in these clashes.

The documents seen by RFE/RL contain contacts with the Chinese technology giant Huawei.

They show large purchases of software and services necessary to increase the scale of a program called Safe City, a project first sold by Huawei in 2017 through a strategic partnership deal with Serbia’s Interior Ministry.

The program aims to provide facial and license-plate recognition and other surveillance capabilities integrated into a unified, citywide system.

Months of protests in Serbia reached a new intensity Wednesday night as riot police intervened to separate rival demonstrations of anti-government protesters and supporters of President Aleksandar Vucic. The president once again accused unnamed foreign powers of orchestrating the protests, which first began after the deadly collapse of a subway station sparked accusations of widespread government corruption.

Supporters of the ruling Serbian Progressive Party (SNS) threw flares and firecrackers at anti-government protesters in Novi Sad on Wednesday evening, prompting police to intervene to end the standoff, a major escalation of nine-month-long protests in Serbia.

The student-led protests in Serbia first started in November after a train station canopy collapsed in Novi Sad, killing 16 people and triggering accusations of corruption in state infrastructure projects.

Protests have since drawn hundreds of thousands of people, shaking President Aleksandar Vucic’s firm grip on power. His supporters have recently started organising counter-demonstrations, fuelling fears of possible violence.

China Limits Critical Mineral Supplies to Western Defense Manufacturers– legalinsurrection.com

Our amazing Leslie Eastman has been reporting on this subject since January:

Defense manufacturers must “stop buying rare-earth magnets that contain China-sourced minerals by 2027.”

Well…it looks like China will make that happen before 2027.

The Wall Street Journal reported that China is now limiting the flow of critical minerals to Western defense manufacturers:

Earlier this year, as U.S.-China trade tensions soared, Beijing tightened the controls it places on the export of rare earths. While Beijing allowed them to start flowing after the Trump administration agreed in June to a series of trade concessions, China has maintained a lock on critical minerals for defense purposes. China supplies around 90% of the world’s rare earths and dominates the production of many other critical minerals.

As a result, one drone-parts manufacturer that supplies the U.S. military was forced to delay orders by up to two months while it searched for a non-Chinese source of magnets, which are assembled from rare earths.

Certain materials needed by the defense industry now go for five or more times what was typical before China’s recent mineral restrictions, according to industry traders. One company said it was recently offered samarium—an element needed to make magnets that can withstand the extreme temperatures of a jet-fighter engine—for 60 times the standard price. That is already driving the cost of defense systems higher, say suppliers and defense executives.
