A group of about 1,500 migrants are rushing to the Southern Border in hopes of securing the Democratic Dream before Trump is inaugurated.

Wow. They must have been really desperate to walk all that way in flip-flops.

According to the New York Post:

A new caravan of at least 1,500 migrants formed in southern Mexico on Wednesday — with some openly admitting they were desperate to cross into the US before President-elect Donald Trump takes office.

The migrants — mainly from Central and South America and including large numbers of young children — began marching from the city of Tapachula near the Guatemalan border, where thousands of migrants have been stranded after being stopped by Mexican authorities from going farther.

“It is going to be more difficult, that’s why we are going in hopes of getting an appointment quicker so we are able to cross before he (Trump) takes office,” said Yotzeli Peña, 23, one of many migrants from Venezuela in the caravan. “That would be easier.”

A new poll from Napolitan News Service shows a majority of Americans support deportation, with 31 percent strongly supporting it.

A new poll finds that a majority of Americans support Donald Trump’s plan to declare a border emergency and to begin deporting millions of illegal aliens.

This is exactly what the 2024 election proved when Trump won in a landslide with border issues being his top concern.

Per Just the News:

The Napolitan News Service survey of 1,000 registered voters was conducted online by pollster Scott Rasmussen Nov. 18-19. It asked: “President Trump has said that he will declare a national emergency because of the illegal immigration problem. This would let the Trump Administration use military force to help with a mass deportation of illegal immigrants. Do you favor or oppose declaring a national emergency to address the problem of illegal immigration?”

In response, 31% of those polled said they strongly favor declaring a national emergency, and 24% said they somewhat favor it. Combined, 55% of Americans support Trump’s plan. Those in favor include 62% of Hispanic voters, 57% of white voters, and 50% of Black voters.

TAPACHULA, Mexico — About 1,500 migrants formed a new caravan Wednesday in southern Mexico, hoping to walk or catch rides to the U.S. border. The migrants are mainly from Central and South America. Some say they are hoping to reach the United States before Donald Trump’s inauguration in January, saying they think it might be more difficult after that. They started out walking from the city of Tapachula, near the border with Guatemala, where thousands of migrants are stranded because they do not have permission to cross further into Mexico.

Migrant caravans began forming in 2018, and they became a final, desperate hope for poorer migrants who do not have the money to pay smugglers. If migrants try to cross Mexico alone or in small groups, they are often either detained by authorities and sent back to southern Mexico, or worse, deported back to their home countries. In that sense, there is safety in numbers: it is hard or impossible for immigration agents to detain groups of hundreds of migrants. So police and immigration agents often try to pick off smaller groups, and wait for the main body of the caravan to tire itself out. Usually the caravans stop or fall apart within 150 miles (250 kilometers).

There is no safety in numbers, however, against threats, extortion or abduction by drug cartels in Mexico, which have become heavily involved in migrant trafficking. The cartels charge migrants or their smugglers for permission to cross their territories along the border. In addition, the gangs often kidnap migrants, hold them in terrible conditions or torture them until they call relatives to send money for their release. The biggest obstacle, though, is the searing heat, dehydration and distance: it is over 1,100 miles (1,780 kilometers) from Tapachula to the nearest border crossing at Matamoros, across from Brownsville, Texas. And that is the shortest, but also one of the most dangerous routes. It would mean 16 days of straight walking even for an adult with no rest stops; many of the migrants come with their children.

Democrat Mayor Mike Johnston of Denver, Colorado has declared war on President Trump’s efforts to enforce immigration policies.

Mayor Johnston has made it clear that he will go as far as using city police and local volunteers to physically prevent the deportation of illegal immigrants, including those with potential gang affiliations.

In a recent interview with Denverite, Johnston unapologetically declared his intention to turn Denver into a fortress of resistance against immigration enforcement, framing his actions as a moral crusade.

“We won’t change that, because those are one of our core values,” Johnston said, adding, “We’re not going to sell out those values to anyone. We’re not going to be bullied into changing them.”

“I think we are gonna continue to be a welcoming, open, big-hearted city that’s gonna stand by our values,” Johnston added.

The State of Texas is ready to help President-Elect Trump’s campaign to send the recent flood of illegal immigrants back where they came from, starting with criminals first. Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham has offered the incoming Trump administration 1400 acres of land on the border with Mexico to use as a staging area for operations.

Buckingham said, “My office is fully prepared to enter into an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or the United States Border Patrol to allow a facility to be built for the processing, detention, and coordination of the largest deportation of violent criminals in the nation’s history.”

On Tuesday, Texas Land Commissioner Dawn Buckingham formally offered the incoming Trump Administration the chance to make use of just over 1,400 acres of Texas land in the planned mass deportations of illegal aliens.

As ABC News reports, Buckingham sent a letter to President-elect Donald Trump on Tuesday, saying that 1,402 acres of land, located along the southern border and purchased by the state of Texas, can be put to use in the construction of “deportation facilities.” The land had been purchased from a farmer by the Texas General Land Office, with the original purpose of constructing a state-funded wall along the border.

“My office is fully prepared to enter into an agreement with the Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, or the United States Border Patrol to allow a facility to be built for the processing, detention, and coordination of the largest deportation of violent criminals in the nation’s history,” said Buckingham’s letter.

In an interview on Fox News, Buckingham reaffirmed that she is “100% on board” with the planned deportation operation. She explained that the 1,400-acre area in question is “essentially farmland, so it’s flat, it’s easy to build on.”

“We can very easily put a detention center on there, a holding place as we get these criminals out of our country,” she continued.

The offer from Texas comes as Democratic governors and mayors have vowed to resist the planned deportation operations, choosing to double down on their so-called “sanctuary” status as they intend to harbor illegal aliens and refuse to cooperate with federal authorities.

On Monday, President-elect Trump confirmed that he was strongly considering the use of a national emergency declaration to carry out the deportations, which would grant him broader executive powers including the use of the military in doing so. He has vowed to begin “the largest deportation operation in American history” on his first day in office.

“Local and state officials on the frontlines of the Harris-Biden border invasion have been suffering for four years and are eager for President Trump to return to the Oval Office,” said Trump campaign spokeswoman Karoline Leavitt, who was recently announced as the president-elect’s pick for White House Press Secretary. “On day one, President Trump will marshal every lever of power to secure the border, protect their communities, and launch the largest mass deportation operation of illegal immigrant criminals in history.”

The vicious Venezuelan prison gang Tren de Aragua has expanded its territory to at least 16 US states — an area that includes half of America’s population, The Post has learned.

Homeland Security officials last week were warned in an internal department intelligence memo about TdA’s growing presence across the country, most recently in Washington, DC, Virginia, Montana and Wyoming.

The gang already has footholds in California, Colorado, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Louisiana, Nevada, New Jersey, New York, North Carolina, Tennessee, Texas and Wisconsin, according to the memo and previous reporting by The Post.

An internal Homeland Security memo obtained by The Post warns of TdA’s expanding footprint across the US.

The gang has only increased its “violent tendencies” as it spreads, the memo added.

Tren de Aragua’s arrival in the nation’s capital and nearby Virginia coincided with “increases in migrant populations” there, the memo stated.

“As the population of Venezuelan nationals continues to increase, the potential for violent TdA migrants is highly probable,” the memo warned.

In one run-in with the cutthroat gang in Virginia, cops in Fairfax County arrested three suspected members in August 2023 for shoplifting.

One of the suspects had a fake Venezuelan ID, and all three bore the gang’s signature tattoos.

There is probably no group that has caused more terror for Americans than the cartels. This is why it is odd that our government has yet to label them as a terrorist organization and implement policies that benefit them in some of the most evil ways.

The cartels would not be able to run their criminal organizations in America if the government did their job. That is why Homan claims the new administration will treat these people like the scum they are, as “criminal cartels in Mexico have killed more Americans than every terrorist organization in the world combined.” This means you should “Take 911 and times it by a hundred.”

The Mexican cartels commit the most evil crimes known to humanity and it’s unfathomable how they are still operating. It’s also unsettling that they can make a profit in America because the government had the power to shut them down yesterday.

Futurity reported on a “study” that suggests immigrants might be more willing to serve in the military than Americans. Futurity’s de facto content marketing piece for the Pentagon suggests “The nation’s all-volunteer military depends on a constant influx of recruits, yet the US armed services have struggled to meet recruitment goals in recent years, raising serious questions about military readiness in an increasingly turbulent world. According to the new analysis of existing survey data, immigrants to the US and Canada express a greater willingness to serve in the armed services of those countries than their native-born citizens.

Christopher Simon, a professor of public affairs at the University of Utah and lead author on the study said “There’s growing evidence here that non-native born individuals are a pool of individuals who clearly are a group that we should focus on more in terms of recruiting into the military,” This writer suggests if you can’t get Americans to serve in the military, it might be because your military doesn’t serve Americans. Perhaps a Trump-led Pentagon might change that attitude.

New research suggests residents who weren’t born in the United States may be an important overlooked source of potential soldiers and sailors.

The nation’s all-volunteer military depends on a constant influx of recruits, yet the US armed services have struggled to meet recruitment goals in recent years, raising serious questions about military readiness in an increasingly turbulent world.

According to the new analysis of existing survey data, immigrants to the US and Canada express a greater willingness to serve in the armed services of those countries than their native-born citizens.

“There’s growing evidence here that non-native born individuals are a pool of individuals who clearly are a group that we should focus on more in terms of recruiting into the military,” says Christopher Simon, a professor of public affairs at the University of Utah and lead author on the study published in the journal Armed Forces & Society.

“Immigrants’ commitment to the US may be a lot stronger than people realize, and their appreciation for the values and opportunities provided by the US are things that they may feel they’re willing to fight for and protect and defend.”

These findings cut sharply across a harsh narrative perpetuated by some Republicans this election cycle, including presidential and vice-presidential candidates Donald Trump and JD Vance, characterizing immigrants as parasitic. In fact, many immigrants seek to contribute to their host nations, and some actively pursue military service.

The research offered by Simon and his team indicate that more could and should be done to channel immigrant willingness to protect the US through military service.

That anti-immigrant attitude may actually undermine national security, according to coauthor Nicholas Lovrich, a professor emeritus of political science at Washington State University and currently an affiliate researcher at the University of Utah.

“We used to get a broader swath of Americans from all kinds of areas, geographic and otherwise, willing to serve, and that’s declining virtually everywhere. The one place that is the strongest support is in immigrants coming to this country,” Lovrich says.

“We saw that the tie between military preparedness and secure borders and fixing the immigration system, which is broken, is a very close one. Our nation’s family formation rate is down, our average number of kids per family is down. We know that the fewer kids you have, the less the parents want them to be in military service. All these indicators are going in the wrong direction except for immigrants. So it doesn’t make a lot of sense for us to be closing our borders for anybody from the outside at this time.”

The United States employs 1.3 million active-duty service members, or 2 million when reserves are counted. That’s around 1% of the adult population, and that portion shrinks every year as recruitments sags behind recruitment targets.

For the new study, the researchers examined immigrants to both United States and its northern neighbor Canada. Both countries are multi-ethnic democratic societies that have relied on all-volunteer forces for decades, and they experience strong in-migration, while their populations are hewing older. Immigrants make up 14% of the US population and 23% of Canada’s. About 8,000 non-citizens join the US military each year, out of less than 150,000 total in recent years.

Both countries offer inducements to serve in their militaries, and for immigrants that includes an expedited pathway to citizenship. The US Citizenship and Immigration Services naturalized 109,321 service members between 2001 and 2015. In 2012, 24,000 immigrants were on active duty, according to the National Immigration Forum.

The new research, which was an independent study not funded by any source, tapped an existing database known as the World Values Survey maintained since 1981 by a global network of social scientists who study changing values and their impact on social and political life. The researchers used the WVS’s Wave 7, a 290-question data set covering 87,000 respondents from 60 nations fielded between 2017 and 2022. Their study focused on the 4,018 respondents from Canada and 2,596 from the United States. The data included the respondents’ immigration status and country of birth, but not the year of immigration.

“We use social identity theory and deep psychology theory to look at and to explore the idea of how immigrants might be different in their response to a question about willingness to serve versus native born,” Simon says.

“And that actually produced a pretty strong study by enlarging our theoretical framework beyond the existing military sociology literature.”

Immigrants to both countries were significantly more likely to express a willingness to fight in uniform than native-born citizens. Those in the US coming from the following countries showed the most willingness: China, Colombia, Cuba, Dominican Republic, Ecuador, Germany, Mexico, Philippines, Taiwan, and the UK.

Willingness to serve in war appeared to be tethered to the nature of the conflict and tended to be motivated by a desire for civic connectedness, as opposed to militarism or nationalism.

“The people aren’t blindly saying they’re willing to serve,” Simon says. “In some cases, for instance, people are saying they’re less willing to fight if it’s a war between countries, but more willing to fight if it’s an issue around terrorism.”

Because the study is based on WVS surveys the researchers did not design or control, their new findings cannot be considered definitive without additional enquiry.

“We were stuck with what questions they asked,” Lovrich says. “But the panels tell us something important and indicate important next steps for study. We have to talk to real people. We have to do a lot of focus groups and qualitative research to back up what we have found in the survey data to see if what we’re seeing in the most recent WVS surveys is panning out with real people.”

Accordingly, Simon and Lovrich hope to leverage their findings to land grant funding to support more in-depth inquiries into immigrants’ willingness to serve.

Coauthors include Colonel Kenneth Verboncoeur, Utah-based retired US Army officer with much experience with military recruitment, and Michael Moltz, professor of public administration at Shippensburg University in Pennsylvania.

Kamala Harris’ Biden Administration has been using a “clever” legal loophole to essentially grant amnesty to millions of illegal aliens without having to go through the trouble of even writing a bill for congress, let alone have it pass.

The accusation comes from the GOP-led House Judiciary Committee, which issued a report that says “Instead of adjudicating these cases, denying invalid asylum claims, and ordering aliens removed from the United States, the Biden-Harris Administration has directed its immigration judges to simply not adjudicate them.”

“Instead of adjudicating these cases, denying invalid asylum claims, and ordering aliens removed from the United States, the Biden-Harris Administration has directed its immigration judges to simply not adjudicate them,” the report stated.

The House Judiciary Committee on Thursday released an interim staff report on how the Biden-Harris administration “uses the nation’s immigration courts to advance an open-borders agenda” through a massive backlog in the immigration courts and the dismissal of cases.

The committee wrote that since Biden took office, there have been more than 3.7 million new immigration court cases since the beginning of fiscal year 2021, which began in October of 2020. “The majority of those cases are based on claims that ultimately will prove unsuccessful,” the report stated, noting that of the adjudicated cases in fiscal year 2023, just 14 percent of them resulted in an asylum grant. The remaining cases were “cases denied, abandoned, dismissed, terminated, withdrawn, or administratively closed.”

“The Biden-Harris Administration has used the immigration court backlog as an excuse to allow even more aliens to remain in the country. Instead of actually adjudicating illegal aliens’ cases based on the merits of aliens’ claims for relief—such as whether an alien has a valid and successful asylum claim—immigration judges under the Biden-Harris Administration have been tasked with rubberstamping case dismissals, case closures, and case terminations, all of which allow illegal aliens to remain in the United States without immigration consequences,” the report stated.

Through oversight conducted by the Judiciary Committee and its Subcommittee on Immigration Integrity, Security, and Enforcement since 2023, it has been revealed that the administration “has used administrative maneuvering in immigration court proceedings to allow nearly 1 million illegal aliens to remain in the US indefinitely.”

To “mask” the increase in new cases created by the Biden-Harris admin’s border crisis, the administration “has empowered ICE attorneys to pursue or agree to—and immigration judges to grant—mass dismissals, terminations, and closures of immigration cases.”

A dismissal is “requested by ICE when the agency ‘makes a determination that they’re not going to proceed forward’” in a particular case, termination “ends an alien’s immigration court removal proceedings,” and administrative closure indefinitely “pauses an alien’s removal proceedings by removing the case from an immigration judge’s calendar.” All three of these instances allow “aliens to remain in the US indefinitely,” the report stated.

From the beginning of the administration through July 31, 2023, immigration judges administratively closed 71,465 cases. Immigration judges also dismissed 459,356 cases and terminated 172,645 cases through June 30, 2024. “The pace of case dismissals, terminations, and closures increased every year under the Biden-Harris Administration,” with just over 5,000 cases being administratively closed from Biden’s inauguration through the end of fiscal year 2021, 35,775 cases being closed in fiscal year 2022, and 30,476 cases being closed in the first 10 months of fiscal year 2023. Similar skyrocketing numbers were seen for terminations and case dismissals.

“Without adjudicating cases and ordering aliens removed from the United States, immigration judges’ mass granting of dismissals, terminations, and closures ensures that aliens can remain in the US indefinitely. Even worse, the majority of the aliens in those cases likely never would have been able to establish any legal basis to remain in the country,” the report stated.

“Instead of adjudicating these cases, denying invalid asylum claims, and ordering aliens removed from the United States, the Biden-Harris Administration has directed its immigration judges to simply not adjudicate them,” the report later added.

Border Patrol officials criticized the Biden-Harris administration for its “blatant attempt” to downplay the “optics” of the ongoing border crisis “to protect their image before the election.”

The administration has instructed Border Patrol agents to ship illegal immigrants from the overcrowded San Diego Border Patrol center to border towns in Texas and Arizona, to avoid releasing them onto the streets of San Diego, sources told the New York Post.

San Diego County Border Patrol supervisor Jim Desmond called this migrant transfer a “blatant attempt” by President Joe Biden and Vice President Kamala Harris “to protect their image before the election.”

“This isn’t about securing the border for the Feds—it’s about optics,” Desmond said.

Every week the San Diego Border Patrol center, which is at 122 percent capacity, sends “numerous buses” full of illegal immigrants to Yuma, Arizona, and “three to four planes” to McAllen, Texas, Desmond said.
