Trump Deportations

On Monday, Memorial Day, many in the U.S. remembered those who gave the ultimate sacrifice.

Rep. Glenn Ivey (D-MD) did a Memorial Day post on X.

But his next X post revealed that he won the award for the “next Democrat to embarrass himself by going to El Salvador.” He was in El Salvador, trying to see Kilmar Abrego Garcia on Memorial Day.

Ivey posted a video giving an update on their effort to see Abrego Garcia, saying he was the “Congressman who represents Kilmar.”

The Trump administration filed a motion Thursday to end the decades-old legal ruling that established basic standards for the treatment and release of migrant children—a move that immigrant rights advocates say they will challenge.

The Flores Settlement Agreement, which dates back to 1997, requires the government to move migrant children from jail-like detention facilities to state-licensed, child-appropriate facilities as quickly as possible, and to ensure that children are kept in safe and sanitary facilities.

“The fact that the government refuses to be held accountable to even these most basic standards to keep children safe speaks volumes.”

At least a dozen migrants were reportedly deported to South Sudan this week, including illegal immigrants from Myanmar, Vietnam, and Mexico.

A federal judge has ordered the Trump administration to maintain custody of criminal illegal immigrants who were allegedly flown to South Sudan.

Judge Brian Murphy held an emergency hearing Tuesday and issued an order instructing the administration “to maintain custody and control of class members currently being removed to South Sudan or to any other third country, to ensure the practical feasibility of return if the Court finds that such removals were unlawful.”

At least a dozen migrants were reportedly deported to South Sudan this week, including illegal immigrants from Myanmar, Vietnam, and Mexico, despite a standing court order restricting removals to third countries. Attorneys representing the migrants told the court that immigration authorities have sent people from various countries to Africa, potentially violating a prior ruling that guarantees migrants a “meaningful opportunity” to argue that deportation to a country other than their homeland would endanger their safety.

President Donald Trump’s offer to illegal alines of a thousand bucks and a free plane ride back to their homes has been put into motion and the first self-deportation flights have already begin.

The first flight lifted off on Monday as several dozen illegals took Trump up on his offer to help them go back where they belong.

Per The Blaze:

Citing an unnamed Department of Homeland Security official, Axios claimed that the first so-called “self-deportation” flight took off from Houston around 9:30 a.m. The plane reportedly carried 65 illegal aliens from Colombia and Honduras and took the individuals to their respective countries of origin.

Those on the flight apparently took advantage of an offer from the Trump administration known as “Project Homecoming.” In exchange for electing to “self-deport” through the CBP Home app, they each received a free ticket home plus $1,000 upon their arrival, Axios said.

DHS Secretary Kristi Noem has urged all immigrants in the U.S. illegally to participate in the program. “If you are here illegally, self-deportation is the best, safest, and most cost-effective way to leave the United States to avoid arrest,” Noem said in a statement on May 5.

An appellate court handed the Trump administration a small victory Thursday evening by temporarily blocking a lower court’s order that required the government to take steps to return a Venezuelan national it deported to El Salvador.

The U.S. Court of Appeals for the 4th Circuit gave no explanation for its decision but granted the administration the stay until Thursday. Justice Department attorneys argued to the appellate court that the government legally deported Daniel Lozano Camargo to a terrorist prison in El Salvador under the Alien Enemies Act.

Trump invoked the powerful wartime law in March as a means to bypass routine immigration proceedings and quickly deport alleged members of Tren de Aragua.

The United States government says that a deal reached with Panama to pay for charter flights and airline tickets to deport migrants without status in Panama has led to nearly 2,000 migrants exiting the country

PANAMA CITY — The United States government says that a deal reached with Panama last year to pay for charter flights and airline tickets to deport migrants without status in Panama has led to nearly 2,000 migrants exiting the country.

The administration of U.S. President Donald Trump is touting it as a factor in the steep decline of migration through the Darien Gap, but the deal was reached by the administration of his predecessor, President Joe Biden.

The most recent of the 48 charter flights came Tuesday and carried 81 migrants from Cameroon, Nepal, India, Bangladesh, Vietnam and Sri Lanka, according to a statement from the U.S. embassy.

The latest ICE target has been the Lima Lopez Transnational Criminal Organization, also known as the Lopez Human Smuggling Organization (LHSO), is a Guatemala-based human smuggling network tied to money laundering, cartel alliances, and the trafficking of migrants into the United States.

Since 2020, the group’s operations have expanded rapidly across Guatemala, Mexico, and the U.S., fueled by rising migration flows under the Biden administration’s open border policies and strategic partnerships with criminal syndicates like the Juarez Cartel.

Democratic lawmakers and mainstream media have recently criticized ICE for its April 24, 2025, raid on a home in northwest Oklahoma City, part of Operation Take Back America, a long-running investigation into transnational human smuggling.

Surveillance confirmed that members of the Lima Lopez Transnational Criminal Organization remained tied to the property through utility records and legal ownership.

For years, Democrats have wielded the phrase “no one is above the law” like a cudgel, particularly when it suited their political vendettas against Donald Trump and other political opponents.

Of course, they never really meant it. All animals are equal, but some animals are more equal than others. Joe Biden, Hunter Biden, Hillary Clinton, Anthony Fauci, and other “allies” are above the law — as are illegal aliens (amazingly).

But never let hypocrisy get in the way of a good talking point, right?

During his first term, they chanted it as they pushed the Russia collusion hoax, impeachment circuses, and endless investigations built on evidence so weak that if I had to choose between standing on a wet paper towel suspended over the Grand Canyon or their evidence, I would choose the paper towel.

When Trump was out of office, their zeal only intensified. New York Attorney General Letitia James campaigned on a promise to “get” Trump, weaponizing her office to pursue civil fraud cases built on shaky grounds. Special Counsel Jack Smith, appointed by the Biden Department of Justice, went after Trump with indictments over classified documents and January 6 cases that many legal scholars argued were more about politics than justice.

The left’s mantra was clear: Trump, his supporters, and anyone who dared challenge their narrative must be held accountable, no matter how flimsy the charges or how selective the enforcement.

Democrats might want to rethink making Kilmar Abrego-Garcia the face of their movement if newly released body cam footage is any indication of where things are headed. And to be clear, that’s rhetorical, because it’s absolutely an indication of where things are headed.

For those unfamiliar with the Abrego-Garcia saga, the illegal immigrant was recently deported back to his home country of El Salvador. Because he was sent to CECOT, the Central American nation’s gang prison (mostly made up of MS-13 members), controversy broke out about whether sufficient due process was given. Multiple judges have been involved, and the Trump administration has been ordered to “facilitate” Abrego-Garcia’s return to the United States.

There’s just one problem: El Salvador said no, and since he’s their citizen, the United States has no ability to undo his deportation. That’s left the two sides of the issue in a stalemate.

A California Democratic representative told reporters Wednesday that she counted illegal immigrants as some of her constituents.

Democratic California Rep. Norma Torres made the remark at a press conference promoting her Fairness to Freedom Act — a bill seeking to give people who cannot afford to pay their legal fees the right to government-funded legal representation while undergoing specific immigration proceedings, such as removal and immigration bond hearings. Torres introduced the bill in 2023.

“Everyone living in my district is my constituent, and I am there to serve and to be a public servant for them. Everyone who pays taxes is a constituent of all members of Congress, including immigrants that have filed for a tax ID and are denied any benefits,” Torres told reporters.

Torres made the comment in response to a question from Daily Signal journalism fellow George Caldwell.

The Trump administration is now offering $1,000 and flight assistance to any illegal migrant that leaves the United States of their own volition.

An illegal migrant who uses the Trump administration’s CBP Home app to self-deport will receive a $1,000 stipend from the U.S. government, the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) announced in a Monday press release. The “historic opportunity” provides financial and travel assistance to those who leave on their own accord, freeing up resources for immigration authorities stretched thin with the current pace of detentions and deportations.

Colorado Democrats are moving forward with immigration bills, despite a lawsuit from the Department of Justice over sanctuary laws in the state and the city of Denver.

On Saturday, the state House of Representatives passed a bill limiting how local law enforcement can interact with federal immigration authorities.

Senate Bill 25-276 passed on a party-line vote, with Democrats in favor. The Senate, which approved it in April, needs to sign off on changes made in the House before the bill heads to Gov. Jared Polis’ desk. […]

The bill would prohibit local government officials and employees from sharing personal identifying information about immigration status with ICE and would also limit where ICE can go within a public school, child care facility, hospital and library without a warrant signed by a judge. A House amendment removed the inclusion of “surrounding areas” to those banned spaces.

Public officials who intentionally violate that data sharing provision would be liable for a $50,000 civil fine, which would go to the state’s immigration legal defense fund.

The bill would also prevent local sheriffs from delaying a person’s release from jail for the purpose of immigration enforcement, get rid of certain affidavit requirements for immigrants seeking in-state tuition or a drivers license, and allow immigrant defendants to ask that a guilty plea is overturned if they were not aware of immigration consequences of that plea when they made it.

“This bill does not provide immigrants with more rights than citizens, but it ensures equal treatment under the law,” bill sponsor Rep. Elizabeth Velasco, a Glenwood Springs Democrat, said. (Real Vail)

Liberals will tell you that all illegal immigrants are just good-hearted people who want to work as maids, gardeners, crop pickers, and do the “jobs that Americans don’t want to do.” We always knew that sounded kind of racist and wasn’t true, but Donald Trump has fully exposed the lies of the Biden administration by proving that—despite Ole Joe’s assertion that he couldn’t stop the human tsunami—it could actually be done relatively quickly.

It’s unclear if many on the left realize the point of running for office is to represent the American people and not foreign nationals, but actions speak louder than words.

Several Democrats have arrived in El Salvador with the intent of bringing back alleged MS-13 gang member Kilmar Abrego Garcia.

It’s factually incorrect to claim that deporting an alleged gang member is a threat to Americans in the United States, but it’s not like these people are working with facts here. And LOL to the “illegally abducted” term, as the man was sent back to his home country after breaking federal immigration laws. Additionally, she has got some nerve claiming Trump does not respect the branches of government when all he’s trying to do is enforce the rule of law, but what do you expect from the most lawless political party in American history?

“Both the Executive and the Judiciary have an obligation to follow the law.”

Those thirteen words, penned by Justice Samuel Alito on Holy Saturday, represent the first admission by the judiciary that courts too can wrongly flout the law.

Justice Alito’s stark acknowledgement concluded his bullet-point evisceration of the Supreme Court’s “unprecedented” command that President Trump not remove a “putative class of detainees” under the Alien Enemies Act. The Supreme Court had entered that order shortly after midnight after the American Civil Liberties Union (“ACLU”) filed an emergency application asking alternatively for an emergency injunction, an immediate administrative injunction, a writ of mandamus, or a stay of removal, to prevent the Trump Administration from removing Venezuelans to El Salvador pursuant to the Alien Enemies Act.

The ACLU’s scattershot request for relief from the Supreme Court came a mere two days after they sued the Trump Administration in a federal court in Texas — and before that court or the Fifth Circuit Court of Appeals had an opportunity to rule on the request for an injunction barring the removal of any more aliens to El Salvador.

Democratic Sen. Chris Van Hollen was unanimously rebuked by a group of Maryland residents who were disgusted after learning of his taxpayer-funded boondoggle to bring back an illegal alien who had been deported by the Trump administration.

As a reminder, Van Hollen has become a national laughingstock after flying to El Salvador last week in a clownish attempt to bring illegal alien Kilmar Abrego Garcia back to the United States after the alleged MS-13 gang member was deported due to a clerical error.

Van Hollen — a senator from Maryland — has been widely criticized for ignoring his own constituents and wasting tax money to fly to El Salvador in a bid to retrieve a foreign national.

On Monday, a group of Maryland residents torched their senator — and the Democratic Party — for wasting taxpayer resources by prioritizing an illegal alien over American citizens.

The unanimous condemnation occurred during a “man on the street interview” conducted by Johnny Belisario, a producer with “Jesse Watters Primetime.”

New York State Supreme Court Judge Mary V. Rosado (Democrat) issued a temporary restraining order Monday blocking Mayor Eric Adams and his administration from moving forward with a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) that would have allowed federal immigration agents access to Rikers Island – the city’s most notorious jail complex.

At the heart of the case is Executive Order No. 50, issued by Mayor Adams, which aimed to facilitate cooperation between the New York City Department of Correction and federal law enforcement, including U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE).

The agreement was designed to identify and remove dangerous illegal aliens charged with violent crimes – including repeat offenders and gang members – from city custody and turn them over to federal authorities.

But that common-sense initiative has now been derailed by a politically motivated lawsuit filed by the New York City Council, which outrageously argues that allowing ICE to perform its lawful duties violates the city’s sanctuary policies.

A federal appeals court has stepped in and put a temporary halt on contempt proceedings initiated by a Democrat-aligned activist judge against President Donald Trump’s administration.

U.S. District Judge James Boasberg, a Barack Obama appointee, is attempting to hold Trump in contempt concerning deportation flights to El Salvador, The Hill reported.

The divided ruling from the U.S. Court of Appeals for the D.C. Circuit does not address the merits of the administration’s appeal.

However, it stalls Judge Boasberg’s efforts to hold government officials in contempt over the March 15 deportation flights.

Judges Gregory Katsas and Neomi Rao, both appointed by Trump, supported the stay.

Meanwhile, Judge Cornelia Pillard, appointed by Obama, dissented.
