Drones are increasingly violating American airspace. We know that tens of thousands of drone sightings on our southern border are connected with the Mexican drug and human trafficking cartels. But dozens of other drone sightings at sensitive military installations suggest hostile nation-state actors, most likely China.
As drone operations in Russia’s war on Ukraine show, the threat is no longer hypothetical — it is active and escalating. Unfortunately, a dangerous combination of bureaucratic inertia and misplaced priorities has left our borders and military installations vulnerable.
The Mexican state of Jalisco will remain under a “code red” Monday, with public transport and schools remaining closed, its governor said Sunday. The announcement follows a day of violence in the coastal city of Puerto Vallarta in the wake of a government announcement that the head of one of the country’s most powerful crime groups was dead.
Smoke from burning vehicles blackened the sky in Puerto Vallarta, a popular tourist destination on the Pacific coast. Similar scenes played out in Guadalajara, the capital of Jalisco, and across several states on Sunday morning.
President Claudia Sheinbaum urged Mexicans to remain calm and stay well-informed after a federal operation targeting Jalisco New Generation Cartel (CJNG) leader Nemesio “El Mencho” Oseguera Cervantes triggered a violent response from cartel henchmen.
The federal Defense Ministry said that Oseguera died while being transported by air to Mexico City after he was wounded by federal forces during an operation on Sunday morning in the municipality of Tapalpa, Jalisco.

An immigration judge in the United States has ruled against an attempt under President Donald Trump to deport Mohsen Mahdawi, a Columbia University student arrested last year for his protests against Israel’s genocide in Gaza.
The decision, issued on February 13, became public as part of court filings on Tuesday from Mahdawi’s lawyers.
Border Czar Tom Homan announced, “With that, and success that has been made arresting public safety threats and other priorities since this surge operation began, as well as the unprecedented levels of coordination we have obtained from state officials and local law enforcement, I have proposed, and President Trump has concurred, that this surge operation conclude. A significant drawdown has already been underway this week and will continue through the next week.”
“I’m very pleased to report that this surge operation and our work here with state and local officials to improve coordination and achieve mutual goals, as well as our efforts to address issues of concern here on the ground, have yielded the successful results we… came here for… Overall, we made a lot of progress through extensive engagement, meeting with them and other key stakeholders, and it is expected that those engagements and discussions will continue, going forward, to enhance exchange of information and more coordination.”
He also announced the rescue of more than 3,000 lost immigrant children during the course of the operation, which was marred from day one by an alleged DNC-foreign-funded insurrectionist operation intended to interfere with the lawful execution of a Presidential order.

Border Czar Tom Homan made a huge announcement in Minneapolis on Thursday morning: The federal immigration surge in Minnesota is over.
“With that, and success that has been made arresting public safety threats and other priorities since this surge operation began, as well as the unprecedented levels of coordination we have obtained from state officials and local law enforcement, I have proposed, and President Trump has concurred, that this surge operation conclude,” Homan said. “A significant drawdown has already been underway this week and will continue through the next week.”
According to U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy, the FAA had to avert a serious cartel drone attack on U.S. soil. The FAA shut down airspace around El Paso immediately to allow for a military response to the attack. The Secretary said “The FAA and DOW acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion. The threat has been neutralized, and there is no danger to commercial travel in the region. The restrictions have been lifted and normal flights are resuming.”
Did a Mexican cartel just try to attack El Paso? – mexiconewsdaily.com
The airspace over El Paso, Texas, was closed late Tuesday after Mexican cartel drones breached the airspace, according to reports by the Associated Press and CNN that cited U.S. government sources.
U.S. Secretary of Transportation Sean Duffy subsequently said on social media that the U.S. Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) and the Department of War (DOW) “acted swiftly to address a cartel drone incursion.”

“The threat has been neutralized, and there is no danger to commercial travel in the region,” he wrote on X Wednesday morning.
Earlier on Wednesday, the FAA announced on social media that the “temporary closure” of airspace over El Paso had been lifted, just hours after it said in a Notice to Airmen that aircraft could not fly above El Paso for 10 days, from Feb. 11 to Feb. 21, for “Special Security Reasons.”
“The Department of War took action to disable the drones,” the unnamed official told CNN.
“The FAA and DOW have determined there is no threat to commercial travel.”
AP said that the official it spoke to didn’t say how many drones breached the airspace above El Paso — located opposite Ciudad Juárez, Chihuahua — or explain what specifically was done to disable the unmanned aerial vehicles.
NBC News and ABC News also reported that they were told by a Trump administration official that Mexican cartel drones had breached U.S. airspace, but the DOW disabled them.
The Texas Tribune acknowledged that the U.S. government “says the unusual closure was triggered by Mexican cartel drones breaching U.S. airspace,” but said that information contradicted “an industry source who said it was because of an impasse with the Department of Defense [as the DOW was previously known] over the use of unmanned military aircraft.”
“An industry official, who had been briefed on the matter by the FAA in a morning call and asked not to be identified, told the Tribune that the Defense Department has been operating unmanned aircraft, or drones, against drug cartel operations from a base near El Paso’s airport without sharing information with the FAA,” the Tribune reported.
“It has to do with the FAA’s inability to predict where [unmanned aircraft systems] might be flying,” the official told the Tribune. “They have been operating outside the normal flight paths.”
For its part, The New York Times reported that officials “offered conflicting explanations for a temporary closure of airspace over El Paso.”
It noted that Duffy and other U.S. government officials attributed the closure to a breach of U.S. airspace by Mexican cartel drones, but added that “two people briefed by Trump administration officials said the shutdown was prompted by the Defense Department’s use of new counter-drone technology and concerns about the risks it could pose to other aircraft in the area.”

Mexican cartel drones have previously breached U.S. airspace, according to a senior Trump administration official.
Last July, Steven Willoughby, a high-ranking official with the U.S. Department of Homeland Security, said that “nearly every day, transnational criminal organizations use drones to convey illicit narcotics and contraband across U.S. borders and to conduct hostile surveillance of law enforcement.”
He asserted that it was “only a matter of time” before Mexican criminal organizations carried out drone attacks against U.S. citizens and law enforcement authorities.
In recent months, the Trump administration has ramped up its fight against drug trafficking, launching numerous attacks on alleged drug boats in the Caribbean Sea and the Pacific Ocean, and capturing Venezuelan President Nicolás Maduro, who is accused of leading a drug-trafficking organization.
A recent Axios’ headline suggests that crime fell at historic levels in major U.S. cities “despite” Trump’s “crackdown,” not because of it. The headline was designed to protect the criminal press’ narrative that ICE agents are unconstitutional paramilitary Nazis destroying the nation.
To protect that libelous narrative, Americans are being gaslit to believe that somehow ICE agents are still sources of violence, not preventers of it. The readers reacted so overwhelmingly that even the criminal terror outfit Axios had to retreat from its mask-off moment. This is our first documented incident of the Insurrectionist press being brought to heel by its own readership.
News Outlet Forced To Delete Anti-Trump Headline After Furious Backlash – trendingpoliticsnews.com
Axios was forced to delete a social media post after readers erupted over a headline suggesting violent crime fell “despite” President Trump’s crackdown rhetoric, even as new data showed crime dropping sharply across major U.S. cities.
The outlet’s framing triggered swift backlash online, where critics accused Axios of downplaying the possibility that tougher enforcement and rhetoric may have contributed to the decline.
President Trump has spent months hammering Democratic-led cities over lawlessness while defending aggressive federal intervention.
“Chicago is a hellhole right now. Baltimore is a hellhole right now,” Trump said in September. “We have the right to [call in the National Guard] because I have an obligation to protect this country.”
The criminal use of the Department of Homeland Security’s parole authority to broadly allow mass undocumented invasion by foreigners has been struck down by Federal Judge T. Kent Wetherell. The judge oversaw a settlement with the State of Florida that bans the Biden loophole from being allowed to be used again by any administration within 15 years of the signing of the agreement.
Revival of Biden’s Mass-Migrant Parole Program Blocked for 15 Years – slaynews.com
The Trump administration has secured a federal consent decree declaring one of former President Joe Biden’s mass-migrant parole programs unlawful and preventing any future administration from reviving a similar system for the next 15 years.
The settlement, approved by Judge T. Kent Wetherell in federal court in northern Florida, emerged from a lawsuit filed by the state of Florida in 2023 and places strict limits on how the federal government may use the Department of Homeland Security’s parole authority under Section 1182(d)(5).
Under the agreement, the federal government cannot use parole authority to create categorical processing pathways at the border designed to ease detention capacity or improve operational efficiency.
Despite his position as a Hollywood elite, ABC’s Jimmy Kimmel likes to think of himself as a man of the people who cares for the little guy, but on his Tuesday show, Kimmel made the strange claim that illegal immigrants are “raising your children.”
While talking about Commerce Secretary Howard Lutnick’s congressional testimony where he was questioned about his appearance in the Epstein files, Kimmel sarcastically declared, “But this was encouraging. Congressman Lisa McClain, a Republican from Michigan, is speaking out and loudly against Epstein’s co-conspirators.”
After a clip of GOP Rep. Lisa McClain at a press conference lamenting, “And you know what the Democrats want to do? Let’s release them into your communities. And let’s celebrate the criminals. Let’s villainize the ICE agents and celebrate the people who are raping your children,”… pic.twitter.com/jP9SbPxxtV
A federal court has sided with the Trump administration after a lengthy legal battle to end the Temporary Protected Status designation for Nepal, Honduras, and Nicaragua
The Department of Homeland Security lashed out at an “absurd” report claiming that a majority of the illegal aliens being deported by the administration were nonviolent cases.
The CBS News report cites an internal DHS document it obtained that showed only 14% of nearly 400,000 immigrants arrested in the first year of the Trump administration had charges or convictions for violent criminal offenses.

A bombshell undercover recording has exposed what critics are calling a deliberate federal cover-up of massive Somali daycare fraud in Minnesota, with an FBI agent admitting that no one will ever be arrested despite billions in taxpayer dollars being looted.
On Tuesday, the O’Keefe Media Group (OMG) released undercover footage showing FBI agent Justin Devine telling a covert reporter that investigations into Somali-run daycare fraud schemes in Minnesota will quietly die without charges.
“I don’t think anybody [daycare fraud criminals] would ever go to prison,” Devine said, referring directly to investigative reporting by independent journalist Nick Shirley, whose work has exposed widespread fraud across Minneapolis.
Border czar Tom Homan has announced that the Trump administration will immediately reduce the number of federal immigration agents in Minnesota by roughly 26%, citing “unprecedented cooperation” from local officials.
Homan held a press conference in Minneapolis on Wednesday morning to provide an update on Operation Metro Surge, which has been met with unrest from some community members, leading to numerous anti-immigration enforcement protests.
According to the Democrats’ standards, “Democracy” is America’s central value. As such, news that Americans OVERWHELMINGLY support deporting illegal aliens (61 to 34 percent according to a Cygnal poll) is sure to cause the Democrats to stop calling for ICE agents to be terrorized by their insurgent army.
New Poll Vindicates Trump, Shows Huge Majority Backing Mass Deportations – trendingpoliticsnews.com
A new national survey is dealing a major blow to the Democratic Party’s immigration messaging and reinforcing President Donald Trump’s long-held position on border enforcement and deportations.
The poll, released by Cygnal, finds overwhelming public support for enforcing immigration law, deporting those in the country illegally, and allowing Immigration and Customs Enforcement to do its job. The results directly contradict years of media and Democratic claims that deportation is unpopular or extreme.
According to the survey, nearly three-quarters of voters, 73 percent, say entering the United States without legal permission is breaking the law. By a two-to-one margin, 61 percent to 34 percent, voters support deporting those who are in the country illegally. A majority, 54 percent, want ICE actively enforcing federal immigration laws and removing illegal immigrants, while 58 percent oppose defunding ICE.
Those numbers cut across party lines, with Independents and swing voters siding far closer to Republicans than Democrats on nearly every question related to immigration enforcement. The political consequences for Democrats become even more severe when voters are told the party supports defunding ICE or shutting down the federal government to stop deportations.
Cygnal’s polling shows the generic congressional ballot flips dramatically under those scenarios. Democrats’ four-point advantage disappears entirely when voters learn Democrats oppose ICE enforcement. If Democrats push for a government shutdown to defund ICE, Republicans gain a two-point lead nationally, representing a six-point swing away from Democrats. Among swing voters, the shift is a staggering 16 points toward Republicans.
New York City, New York, United States of America – October 22 2025: Anti-ICE protest in New York City after Canal Street ICE Deportation Raid
The survey also shows how isolated Democrats are on the broader issue of illegal immigration. Sixty-four percent of likely midterm voters say illegal immigration is a serious problem in the United States, including 71 percent of swing voters. Nearly all Republicans agree, along with a solid majority of Independents. Democrats are the only group where most respondents claim illegal immigration is not a problem.
“Voters see illegal immigration as a simple question of law and order,” said Brent Buchanan, Cygnal’s CEO and founder. “The data leaves no wiggle room. Americans want the law enforced, they want illegal immigrants removed, and they punish politicians who try to block ICE from doing its job.”
Reports this week indicate a sharp escalation in immigration enforcement across the United States as the Trump administration continues to push forward with large-scale deportation operations. Federal authorities have expanded ICE activity beyond traditional border areas, triggering high-profile arrests, accelerated removals, and the rapid transfer of detainees to newly expanded holding facilities.
The enforcement surge has sparked widespread protests in major cities including New York, Minneapolis, and Los Angeles, where demonstrators accuse the administration of conducting mass deportations and overreaching federal authority.
For Republicans and President Trump, the findings validate a core issue that has defined his political brand since 2016. Rather than costing the GOP politically, strong support for deportations and ICE enforcement appears to be a net winner, especially with Independents and voters who decide close elections.
Nearly two-thirds of likely 2026 midterm election voters support deporting illegal aliens from the United States, a new poll released Monday shows.
In its latest survey of 1,004 likely 2026 voters, the political polling firm Cygnal found that respondents support removing illegal aliens from America and sending them back to their country of origin by a nearly 2:1 margin (61 to 34 percent). The poll also found strong support for ICE enforcement of federal immigration laws and agreement that illegally entering the United States is a violation of such laws.
Most Americans would assume that federal judges — ostensibly some of the most important arbiters in the U.S. judiciary system — would have a pretty good grasp of the basic facts.
Things like who, what, when, where, and why are all rather important topics when presiding over any tenuous legal matter.
Alas, every once in a while, judges can apparently get those very important factoids wrong, too.
A growing number of Democrat rogue judges are waging open war on the rule of law, substituting ideology for statute and personal politics for public safety. By blocking deportations, freeing violent offenders, and nullifying duly enacted laws, these judges are not “checking power,” they are seizing it, overriding the will of voters and lawmakers alike. The result is predictable: communities put at risk, law enforcement undermined, and a justice system that rewards contempt for the law while punishing those tasked with enforcing it. This is not judicial independence; it is judicial sabotage—an assault on law and order and on the American way of life itself, which depends on equal application of the law, not rule by robe.
The man accused of attacking Rep. Ilhan Omar with a mystery liquid at a Minnesota town hall allegedly warned a neighbor in advance that he “might get arrested” at the event, a comment that now reads as a chilling prelude to Tuesday night’s disruption.
Anthony Kazmierczak, 55, is accused of rushing the Democratic congresswoman as she stood at the podium addressing constituents and calling for abolishing ICE, spraying an amber-colored, foul-smelling liquid from a syringe in her direction.
The incident unfolded Tuesday night as Omar was speaking at a town hall in Minnesota’s 5th Congressional District. Video footage shows a man in a black jacket lunging toward the podium and discharging the liquid. Omar appeared startled but was not reported to have been injured.
Ilhan Omar was giving a speech at Minneapolis when a white man in his 50s approached her and doused her with juice. While the incident was called fake by some, including President Trump, there has been no clear evidence so far to confirm that accusation. The attack comes as news was breaking of a suspicious company Omar owns.
The suspect business is a winery in California that appears to have no infrastructure yet her husband’s stake in the company went from $15k last year to $1-5 million in only one year. Omar’s worth has ballooned from near zero when she took office to over $6 million (or more) today. Her finances are being investigated by the U.S. House Oversight Committee under James Comer (R-KY).
Omar’s 2024 disclosure lists her spouse Tim Mynett’s eStCru LLC stake in Santa Rosa, California, valued between $1 million and $5 million, up sharply from $15,001-$50,000 the year before. The winery shows signs of inactivity—no working phone, empty parking lot, dormant social media—while Mynett faced a settled investor fraud lawsuit and a separate debt claim. House Oversight Chairman James Comer launched a review of her wealth rise from near-zero to $6-30 million, tying it to Minnesota fraud reports, as Trump called for DOJ scrutiny; Omar calls the claims misreadings of broad disclosure ranges.
Tuesday’s CBS Mornings sought to give viewers a look at “how things turn[ed] chaotic” in Minneapolis with correspondent Lilia Luciano, but she muddied the waters by blaming conservative journalist Nick Shirley for the deadly chaos and refused to acknowledge Customs and Border Protection (CBP) and Immigration Customs and Enforcement (ICE) had removed dangerous criminals from the Twin Cities.
Still floored by how ridiculous this segment was on Tuesday’s ‘CBS Mornings’ that downplayed the notion that CBP and ICE have removed dangerous illegal aliens (refusing to name a single one), blamed Nick Shirley for the chaos in Minneapolis, and commiserated with a hipster coffee… pic.twitter.com/NyOcTexL1O
Featured co-host Vladimir Duthiers had a similarly biased lead-in, including downplaying the reality of criminals taken off the streets:
Many Americans have been shocked by the images and stories coming out of Minneapolis these last few weeks. The White House says the surge in Homeland Security agents to the area was about combating fraud along with deporting criminal undocumented immigrants. But here’s the thing, many arrested people have no criminal record. Some say they were stopped at random. So, how did things turn chaotic?
A new swing block in the 2024 election, the Hispanic vote only figures to be an even bigger one in the coming elections, which is good news for Trump. A Rasmussen Reports poll shows President Trump’s approval rating among Hispanics is plus nine, with 54% approving and 45% disapproving. This poll shows the narrative of ICE raids being anti-Hispanic or “brown” is a myth. Not even Hispanic Americans want illegals here, it would seem.
Polling Shows Massive Pro-Trump Swing Among Hispanics – townhall.com
This news has to make the Democratic Party very unhappy this morning. They’ve spent the past year attacking the Trump administration as racist, bigoted, xenophobic, and Nazi-like over its immigration policy, accusing ICE and Border Patrol of rounding up “brown people” indiscriminately for deportation.
Despite that, President Trump’s approval rating among Hispanics is skyrocketing, according to Rasmussen.
BREAKING: President Trump’s approval rating among Hispanics now at +9, per Rasmussen.
President Donald Trump is not a man of nuance, and so as a result, many fall into the trap of concluding he can’t see the big picture. The most common mistaken assumption about him is that people think he’s reactionary, when the opposite is true. You don’t get the peace agreements he’s gotten, the concessions he’s won on his tariff strategy, or so many other things he’s accomplished if you wing it.
Consider all of this and how uncharacteristically quiet the president has been on the anti-ICE movement in Minneapolis in recent weeks. While he hasn’t avoided the topic, he hasn’t allowed it to dominate his narrative and the media coverage of the White House.
More importantly, while there has been a good deal of noise coming out of Minneapolis, and even more confusion by design coming from the Minnesota governor, Democrat politicians, and the left, in the wake of the Michael Pretti shooting, the very measured response coming from the White House may have been overlooked.
Armed attackers stormed a soccer field in central Mexico on Sunday, killing 11 people and wounding six others in a shooting authorities called part of a broader crime wave gripping the region.
The gunmen pulled up in at least three vehicles around 5:30 p.m. local time at a field in the Loma de Flores neighborhood of Salamanca, Guanajuato state, according to Mexican outlet Milenio. Investigators collected over 100 shell casings from high-caliber firearms at the scene.
Ten victims died at the scene and one later died at a hospital, Salamanca Mayor César Prieto Gallardo said. A woman and a minor child were among the six injured, with six still under medical observation, according to Mexican outlet Infobae, citing the Guanajuato Attorney General’s Office.
Are we shocked about this? If you’re here illegally, you’re going. If you’re here illegally and are committing crimes, you’re definitely being shipped out. Somali-led fraud is a nationwide epidemic. Minnesota is the epicenter due to excellent reporting from Nick Shirley and the shooting of Renee Nicole Good, who was killed after she tried to ram an ICE agent in Minneapolis. But Washington State, Ohio, and Maine also have fraud issues, and now ICE is heading north (via NYT):
The Trump administration has started an immigration enforcement operation in Maine, targeting Somali immigrants in the state, according to two U.S. officials with knowledge of the plans.
The decision comes weeks after a similar operation in Minnesota incited protests and raised questions about the tactics used by Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Thousands of officers and agents from the Department of Homeland Security were deployed there, and ICE’s actions have come under significant scrutiny in the wake of the shooting of Renee Good in Minneapolis this month by an ICE officer.
A number of asylum seekers from African countries who arrived in the United States during the Biden administration have settled in Maine, joining a Somali population that started arriving there in the early 2000s, when refugees from the country began settling in Lewiston. Yet Maine remains an overwhelmingly white state, with one of the oldest populations in the country. Some employers have begun looking to immigrants to fill labor gaps, as native-born employees have either left the work force or retired.
The U.S. attorney’s office in Maine telegraphed the upcoming operation in a statement on Monday advising people to protest peacefully.
