Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson appeared to take a swipe at Mayor Katie Wilson this week by reposting journalist Ari Hoffman’s blistering account of her response to the July 27 mass shooting at the Bite of Seattle food festival.

Hoffman reported that Wilson refused to speak or turn on her camera during an emergency Zoom call hastily arranged for Washington leaders after the shooting.
When Hoffman filed a Freedom of Information Act request seeking records of the call, Ferguson’s office said it did not have a recording.
The Democratic governor’s account then shared Hoffman’s post targeting Wilson, an unexpected move that caught the conservative journalist by surprise.
Hoffman wrote on X that the repost “wasn’t on my bingo card for today.”
