Dora and Bill

This Final Thought is both for the widow and widower struggling with what they might want to do next, as well as for the friends and family of those widows and widowers. We all have different paths, wants, needs, experiences that will calibrate us differently in response to losing our spouse. Those different calibrations are not more or less righteous in their differences.

This is my journey, so far, into widowerhood. – Bill Collier

I’m noticing people who have lost a spouse around or after the time I lost Dora, and most are dating, remarried, or looking. It seems a common feeling is that they miss their spouse, specifically, but someone to share their life with, generally. Many seem to feel a need to rectify this and find love again.

I think maybe that’s a natural feeling.

For me, grieving Dora started years before she died. By the mid-2020s, the Dora I loved was mentally very limited and by the late 2020s she was medically deranged. She would see people who weren’t there and act out in ways she wouldn’t have had she been in her right mind.

This was during the pandemic, so we didn’t get a real diagnosis until March 1, 2021, which was this: late development of early onset Alzheimer’s, which likely began to take effect, to the point Dora couldn’t work, in August 2015, when she appeared to have a stroke.

I say all that to say that for several years I was with Dora, but she was only with me on a limited basis. We could not truly live as husband and wife. So, I was feeling grief but had to focus on her care. My own grief mostly got set aside.

I learned to care for things she used to handle, whether I did them myself or paid for others to do them. While I am still struggling in my effort to replace her work with my own, I keep getting a little better every month, but I have a long way to go to achieve her level of excellence.

I lived daily a semi-solo life. I used to call it a sort of gray widowerhood, because in most aspects I was already a widower. But I couldn’t “move forward” and even think of being with someone else. So, I used special techniques I learned many decades ago, where I trained my brain, using association, to not be attracted to women in general.

I did this intentionally. While it was not easy, I eventually got to where I am now. I can see a woman’s beauty just as I might see a flower or a sunset, but rarely is there ANY sexual stimulation.

I am happy in my own skin. I enjoy my own company. I do feel the very real presence of God in my heart giving me peace and comfort. I genuinely do not normally feel alone, although I have moments, and I still yearn for Dora. It feels like a homesick feeling.

But I just don’t feel, currently, a general need for companionship. I have people, I have my dog, and, most importantly, I have Jesus Christ.

Dora and I used to say that it would be unhealthy for either of us to say, “I could not live without you“, because Jesus Christ is enough for each of us, and for us together.

I now know she was afraid of losing me before she died. I have diaries I’ve not fully gone through because it still feels like a violation of her privacy. Yet I know I need to go through them, and I know she would want me to.

Through her diaries, I expect to find lessons and early signs that can help with early detection and caring for a person with Alzheimer’s. I believe I have already found early signs of Alzheimer’s in her frustrations with memory that could help others get the early help my wife never received.

From what I have read, she was both afraid of having to live without me and worried about me making it without her.

(Well, Dora, I’m pushing forward and sharing your story, per you wishes, and my journey in all of this, also per your wishes. Jesus Christ is still enough for me, even without you, but that doesn’t mean my heart has stopped being homesick for the home you and I made as US.)

For now, I remain open to every possible outcome ordained by God; but for me the key is that, as with the marriage I lost first to Alzheimer’s and permanently through Dora’s passing, that this marriage be ordained by God and not merely by my desires alone.

Now, I’m not saying this is the only approach, nor that wanting to find someone because you are alone is a bad thing. However, for me, I would need to know in my spirit that if I were to engage in romance it is because God ordained it.

I am thankful that I do not seem to feel as lonely as I see many other widows and widowers have become, and I feel for them, and support their choices to seek or find love again.

I am different than them, but not qualitatively or righteously. Sometimes my choice to not actively pursue remarriage is viewed by others, even widowers and widows, as a judgment against those that make that choice.

I miss Dora to the point of aching, though I do not let that become my governor. I pursue many interests and many relationships with family and friends, but I do NOT feel lonely for female companionship.

I do not pray, “God please give me a second marriage.” If that is your hope that prayer is appropriate for you.

My prayer is, God, lead me and give me courage and wisdom to walk the path you set before me, regardless of where it leads or how it goes, whether to remain a solo traveler or to be with someone chosen by you, but let my love for YOU inspire me rather than my own desire.”

Again, this isn’t a prescription for everyone nor a judgement on anyone who takes a different approach. To find a husband or wife is a good thing, even after you have become a widow or widower, and no one should second-guess you (outside of uncommon exceptional circumstances).

I think there are pitfalls and dangers associated with such loss. But aside from that, I think the fact many widows and widowers I have met seem to want another love or have found another love, shows that it’s natural to want that; and yet a significant minority have remained solo travelers like me for the rest of their lives.

I just met a guy whose father lost his wife, this man’s mom, after a 3-month battle with cancer. He has remained single for 14 years and has never felt the desire to find love again.

For him his marriage was already perfection in his heart, and he has had his fill of love, in a good way. Maybe things will change for him, and maybe they might yet change for me.

I’m only 19 months in but I identity more with that guy than the ones who remarry. Unlike him, I am OPEN to whatever may come. I’m not by any means opposed to such possibilities. But I’m also content where I am and would be for the rest of my life if being solo is God’s path for me.

I cannot and will not call myself single. I am factually “single,” but it feels wrong, like it erases 33 years of marriage. But I’m not married either. I’m a solo widower and I’m content with that, despite the pain of grief that sometimes gets the better of me.

I haven’t changed my Facebook status to single because I don’t want to be approached. I put my ring back on because I was approached by women, and it didn’t feel right to me.

Maybe that will change one day. Like I said, I am open to that possibility. I remember before I was married all I wanted was to find someone and get married, and I enjoyed the journey of “looking“, though God in His humor arranged my marriage supernaturally.

The person He chose was Dora, and she was NOT on my radar. She was way out of my league anyway, so I never entertained romantic thoughts about her.

I remember it was fun and exciting to meet women and think, “could she be the one?” Everyone enjoys the hunt!

But while I remember that with fondness, I do not feel those things at all now. Perhaps 33 years of marriage and the difficult and long “goodbye” have affected me in this way. Having made a strong habit of not allowing myself to indulge in such desires or feelings, they have become dull, rarely surfacing now. Though I cannot say I’m without such desires, they’re just very brief and very infrequent.

Proverbs talks about David who said, “I have made a pact with my heart not to look on a maiden (unmarried adult woman) with lust.

This is a formula to me, the idea that I can train my heart and mind not to look on a woman with lust. When I see a beautiful woman now, it is like a sunset or a beautiful classic 53’ Buick Riveria convertible, not a potential lover!

I feel kind of liberated because being free of such feelings allows me to interact with women I know and meet without an agenda other than the matter plainly before us. I have met only a few women who I would say I have some attraction to in the abstract, but the desire to be alone is stronger than those desires.

Dora and I used to make sure our “needs” were met for intimacy, but at some point she became non compos mentis, and thus unable to give consent. This was a difficult moment, because my desire did not die with that loss of consent.

I had to restrain myself, which meant suppressing this need and making it a want until it became little more than occasional background noise.

When you train your brain not to allow your desire for your wife to have salience, it has an even more profound effect on how you view women that are not your wife. As of this writing, my desire for my wife is still there, though in the background of my being. My desire for other women has receded even more.

I wonder how people who have lost their spouse to early onset Alzheimer’s feel about these things after finally becoming a full-fledged widow or widower. I suspect some who have had a deep and wonderful marriage before Alzheimer’s may feel more like I do, and some may yet have faith they can experience that same type of deep and wonderful marriage again.

For me, I pray that whatever follows in my life is the manifestation of God’s sovereignty over my life. Let it be that guide that determines if I will be with someone or remain celibate, “married” to God alone.

God’s presence within me is enough. Sexual feelings just don’t enter my thoughts like they used to, and the few times they do it is easy for me at this point to dismiss them. It is not out of a sense of guilt; it is simply that the fruit of my former intentional habit of being has now become my natural habit of being.

It is perfectly good to have and pursue desire, righteously. But for me, I find no satisfaction in such pursuits. For now.

Unless and until God intervenes, I will continue to pursue the solo-widower life.

For the Christian, there is no mandate from God on what to do after your spouse dies, so there is no reason to judge the one who chooses to remarry OR the one who doesn’t.

As a solo widower I get plenty of “encouragement” from people (mostly the ones who do not have a close fellowship with me) to get out there and get married because, to them, it would be “good for you.”

I hope what you take away from this is that, as a widow or widower, embrace your individual path, come what may from your friends and family around you, some of which might want to shame you for remarrying, and some that want to shame you for NOT remarrying.

And for the friends and family of widows and widowers, give us the space to find our way mostly ourselves, with input and council, but not judgment.

Kier Starmer’s government has announced plans to pass a new online safety act that will ban children under 13 from using social media. To assure that children cannot gain access, adults will be required to confirm their identification every time they access the internet. The plan is seen as a scheme to track adult online users, not to protect children from the dangers of the internet.

British Prime Minister Keir Starmer has unveiled sweeping new restrictions that will force social media users to verify their identity before accessing major online platforms, as part of a nationwide crackdown that will ban children under 16 from social media altogether.

The move has triggered alarm among free speech advocates, privacy campaigners, and critics of government surveillance, who warn that the policy represents a major step toward a digital ID system for Internet access.

Under the plan, platforms including Facebook, Instagram, TikTok, Snapchat, X, and YouTube will be required to block users under 16, while all users will be forced to undergo age verification checks.

We have been following the fallout from the video of a Sudanese migrant in Belfast allegedly attempting to behead a local man in a violent knife attack captured on video.

The incident has sparked anti-immigration protests across Northern Ireland, with demonstrators gathering in Belfast, blocking roads, and setting vehicles on fire amid rising tensions.

The victim of this incident has been identified as Stephen Ogilvie, who has reportedly lost his left eye and suffered severe injuries to his face as a result of the brutal attack.

Stephen Ogilvie, thought to be 44, suffered injuries to both eyes after Sudanese migrant Hadi Alodid, 30, allegedly tried to behead him late Monday night, the Sun reported.

Barbaric video footage showed Ogilvie being pinned under the knifeman — with a horrified witness heard crying, “He’s trying to cut his head off. He’s slicing his head off.”

Ogilvie suffered serious injuries to his right eye and had deep slash wounds in his head, face and back, the hearing in Belfast was told.

Alodid was identified for the first time as he appeared in court Wednesday on charges of attempted murder and possessing a blade.

Just one in every 10 Europeans now sees the U.S. as an ally, according to a major new poll conducted by the European Council on Foreign Relations across 15 European countries.

In what the think tank described as a “collapse in European faith in the U.S.,” only 11% of the nearly 20,000 European respondents now consider America an ally, down from 16% six months ago and 22% in November 2024.

Half of those polled view the U.S. as a “necessary partner,” while 25% see America as a rival or an adversary. The percentage of respondents who view the U.S. as a rival or an adversary grew in several countries, especially Denmark, France, Spain and Switzerland.

“… Augustus won over the soldiers with gifts, the populace with cheap corn, and all men with the sweets of repose, and so grew greater by degrees, while he concentrated in himself the functions of the Senate, the magistrates, and the laws. He was wholly unopposed, for the boldest spirits had fallen in battle, or in the proscription, while the remaining nobles, the readier they were to be slaves, were raised the higher by wealth and promotion…”Tacitus, The Annals, Book 1

NOTE: We understand this report is significantly longer than our regular reports. We considered breaking the report into two parts, with the transition coming in section F, The Final Transition Form.

However, we have so many bellwether events around us that we feel we must minimalize what we call our Evergreen reports, reports not directly connected to current events (such as our Hope Exit Reports). This is why we created the publishing schedule you can find on the last page of this issue.

Our next Evergreen report is scheduled for July 24. It is on the latest developments of 3D printing, also called additive manufacturing.

Because of this, we are publishing the full report, as is, despite it being nearly twice as long as our standard maximum. We can assure you this will be an exception to that principle, not a new standard.

We recommend you divide the reading in half, with the first half ending when you get to section F, which will give you the full historic outline. The second half is comprised of the analysis sections, the comparisons of institutions between the Republic and the Empire, and a Final Assessment of that transition.

INTRODUCTION

The story of Rome does not begin as a republic, it begins as a Kingdom. There were seven Kings of Rome. The last seven kings were, at least in part, Etruscan, the then-traditional enemy of Rome. The last King, Tarquinius Superbus, was killed in 509 BC. His death marked the birth of the Roman Republic. For over three centuries, the Romans were able to keep a Republic in working order, largely operating on unwritten precedent, civic code, to prevent the consolidation of power.

Starting in the early 140s BC, the divide between the plebians and the patricians was such that demands by plebians for reforms were becoming increasingly bellicose. Into that environment, the Gracchi brothers would emerge, patricians seeking to create political power by satisfying the rage of the plebians.

They would start the unwinding of that civic code that prevented political action from becoming violent.

It would culminate with the death of the last great champion of the Republic, Marcus Tullius Cicero, whose death on December 7, 43 BC marks the end of any serious effort to restore the Republic. The Republic fell with the declaration of Julius Caesar as Dictator for Life in early 44 BC, but it died with Cicero.

Before his death, the civil war that followed had factions still hoping for a restoration of the republic. After his death, it became a contest between future Emperors, with Julius Caesar’s adopted son, Gaius Octavius, destined to be the last man standing.

His crowning as Emperor Augustus Caesar, along with his “reforms” marks the final transition from the Republic to the Empire.

By the end of the transition, new unwritten civic codes were established, but none that would be as effective as the Republic’s at preventing civil wars and final collapse.

THE GRACCHI BROTHERS

The Gracchi brothers rose to power and fell during the 130s and 120s BC. They came from the patrician class. They were oligarchs in the making who chose to side with the lower classes.

Their major reforms were settled around land ownership, state subsidization of grain (hints at the welfare programs to come), and generally seeking to create more power for the lower classes.

To accomplish their goal, the Gracchi brothers decided to break with precedent. For instance, while they should have run for consul rather than Tribune of the Plebs, they still ran for the office intended to be filled by a member of the plebian classes.

Some historians assert the Gracchi brothers’ breaking with unwritten codes created the precedent-breaking precedent the oligarchs would follow. Other historians suspect the reforms themselves would have triggered the same unprecedented response from the oligarchs even if they passed through precedent-preserving means.

Despite both being murdered for their troubles, many of their changes stuck, and the reforms that didn’t stick continued to be political issues until the republic itself came to an end.

TIBERIUS GRACCHUS – In 133 BC, Tiberius Gracchus was elected Tribune of the Plebes. Using his position, he attempted “reforms” intended to lessen the power of the oligarchs (patricians) and increase the power of the lower classes (plebians).

The oligarchs fought back, however, and before the year was over Tiberius was murdered by the oligarchs, the Senators.

The Senators, led by Tiberius’ own cousin, along with their clients and supporters, armed themselves with clubs, surrounded Tiberius and beat him and 300 of his supporters to death. They threw his body into the river Tiber.

The murder of Tiberius marks the first time in the history of the republic (which had existed for over three centuries at this point) that political violence was used.

GAIUS GRACCHUS – The little brother of Tiberius, Gaius Gracchus, sought revenge through reforms. He was elected Tribune in 123 BC. He immediately set about attempting to enact not only the reforms of his slain brother Tiberius, but also even more radical reforms, including subsidizing grain.

He won the tribunate again in 122 BC but failed to win a third time. After his loss, the new tribune moved to strike down Gaius’ reforms. Gaius Gracchus’ supporters rioted in Rome, leading to at least one death among them.

In response, the Senate gathered and hastily approved a Final Decree (Senatus Consultum Ultimum) against Gaius and his supporters.

After the Final Decree was publicly posted, a Senator named Opimius assembled a large force to attack Gaius and his supporters. When it became clear they were losing the battle, Gaius retreated to the Temple of Diana, hoping to receive sanctuary. But Opimius attacked, killing many of Gaius’ supporters.

Gaius escaped the melee and fled across the river Tiber where some accounts claim he killed himself and others claim he had his slave kill him, then the slave killed himself.

This was the second major act of political violence in a little over a decade after going centuries without a single major incident. The Final Decree could also be viewed as a shadow of what was to come with Marius and Sulla, the proscription lists, lists of people condemned by the state OFFICIALLY to exile or death, without a trial.

MARIUS AND SULLA

The power struggles between two men, a “New Man” in Marius and a patrician in Sulla, would break most peacekeeping precedents that had held for centuries. Two major precedents were broken, the official declaration of death to citizens without a trial and the use of a personally loyal military for personal power.

Marius’ military reforms in large part made Sulla possible. Marius rose to power appealing to the weak to protect them against the strong while Sulla rose to power appealing to the strong to protect them from the weak. These are the same narratives that played out during the tumult under the Gracchi brothers.

One of the support characters in this struggle between Marius and Sulla was Gnaeus Octavius. He was the support consul and ally of Sulla. In 87 BC, He would become the first head of Rome to be assassinated by his own citizens, mainly Marius allies.

MARIUS’ RISE – Two wars would create an opportunity for a plebian to become a consul. The plebian was Gaius Marius, the wars were the Jugurthine War and the Cimbrian Wars. Both wars began with catastrophic defeats for the Romans, and a series of corrupt, incompetent, patrician generals failing to bring either rebellion to heel.

The Jugurthine War elevated Marius to the position of consul in 107 BC. Sulla also received glory for his part in the Jugurthine War, and Marius resented it, claiming his contributions were exaggerated.

Marius took the consulship as a New Man. A new man is someone who comes from a family that has never held the consulship. Marius came from the plebian class, but his family was well-off, though not wealthy. What was said of Marius is he knew no Greek, which was an insult meaning he was not properly educated, which meant he lacked the gravitas needed to lead.

As soon as Marius took office, he immediately implemented major military reforms, such as opening the army up to all citizens. Only landowners who could provide their own war gear were part of the Republic’s army up to this point.

Marius professionalized the army, creating a standing army that would train year-round, ready for battle when the need arose. This was not possible when your only soldiers had to go home to plant and harvest.

The landless soldier was very different than the land-owning soldier, for this soldier owed no allegiance to the Senate. The soldier would come to be loyal to their General more than to the state as a whole.

The Cimbrian Wars during Marius’ consulship helped propel him to an unprecedented four consulships in a row (104-100 BC). In 101 BC, Marius ended the Cimbrian Wars with a final decisive battle.

Marius left the consulship with the republic appearing to be relatively stable, but underneath the surface, something was brewing, a social war.

SULLA’S RISE – The Social War of 91-88 BC would be for Sulla what the Jugurthine Wars were to Marius. The Social War was a struggle between the Romans and their former Italian allies, who wanted more rights. Like Marius’ two wars, this one started badly for the Romans. Unlike Marius, Sulla had to share glory with Marius and Gnaeus Pompeius Strabo.

However, Sulla received more glory than Marius, and that did not sit well with Marius, who felt his efforts were more impactful than Sulla’s were. While Marius managed to glean the greatest glory in the Jugurthine War despite Sulla’s efforts, here, Sulla’s faction won the day.

While the Romans won the war, the Italians won enfranchisement, meaning they now had real political power in Rome. This meant more bodies in Rome for political days, more mobs to fear, assuage, or cultivate.

In 88 BC, Sulla was elected consul of Rome. A year before, the King of Pontus rebelled from Rome, leading to the first Mithridatic War.

SULLA’S PURGES – As the newly elected consul, Sulla fully expected to be assigned to the Mithridatic War, but machinations by Marius and his allies led the command being switched to a by-now aged Marius.

However, Sulla would have none of it. He initially fled Rome, but only to rally his legions. In 88 BC, Sulla marched on Rome, the first time a General had marched troops into the city. This starts the First Civil War (88- 85 BC).

Marius and his allies were declared outlaws by Sulla. This began a purge that killed thousands. Sulla created new laws intended to strengthen the Senate before he left to fight King Mithridates VI.

Marius escaped, however, and would bide his time until Sulla left for the East. This was a shadow of what would eventually become the proscription list, a list condemning you to death or exile without a trial.

MARIUS’ PURGES – In 87 BC, Marius returned to Rome with his principle ally Lucius Cornelius Cinna, the former co-consul with Sulla from the year before. Marius and Cinna marshalled their own legions and marched on room, quickly taking control of the city.

It is during this time that Gnaeus Octavius, the joint consul with Sulla, was assassinated after Marian forces captured him. Octavius was defending the Janiculum Hill when he was captured. Marius had him beheaded in his consular insignia. He had his head displayed in the Rostra of the Forum.

As mentioned, this was the first time a head of state was killed by his own citizens while in office.

Sulla and his allies now found themselves declared outlaws by Marius, which had no effect directly on Sulla, but led to thousands being killed. In 86 BC, Marius and Cinna won another consulship. For Marius, it would be his seventh. He would enjoy it for only 17 days before he died.

The proscription list was coming next.

THE DICATOR SULLA – Even after his death, the faction Marius created, the Marian faction, continued to hold power through Cinna, who stayed faithful to Marius’ reforms and continued to target Sulla’s allies. Sulla would end the Mithridatic War in 84 BC, returning to Italy to do battle with Marian forces. Cinna would be killed in a mutiny that same year while on his way to battle Sulla.

In 83 BC, the second civil war began, with the Marian faction still hoping to hold on to power. In 82 BC, Sulla was declared Dictator. This is when the general declaration of “outlaw” against your political opponent and their allies becomes formalized, detailed, and published.

Previously, the declarations were ad hoc, now they were systematic, organized, institutional, and not rare. Sulla’s lists were updated over the course of the year until all his opponents were dead or had fled outside the reach of power.

During his reign (81 – 80 BC), he passed numerous “reforms” that weakened many of the earlier Gracchi reforms, as well as some of Marius’ reforms (though not his major military reforms). In 79 BC, a relatively healthy 59-year-old Sulla suddenly announced his retirement. In 80 BC, Sulla suddenly died, possibly because of chronic heavy drinking.

CATILINE CONSPIRACY

There are two men at the center of the Catiline Conspiracy, Cicero and Catiline.

Cicero, like Marius, was a “New Man.” Marius had little Greek, while Cicero had much. Marius came from a well-off, but not wealthy, plebian family.

Cicero came from the equestrian class, meaning his family were landowners and could afford to send their men off to war with their own horses (or at least their family scions could). Cicero received a full Roman education while Marius did not.

As New Men go, Cicero came from “better stock,” but yet he was still a “New Man” and not a descendent of a scion of the patricians. The New Man, Marius, the plebian, would unintentionally accelerate the death of the republic. The New Man, Cicero, the equestrian, would become the symbol of the death of the republic, and its last effective champion, but also possibly its final straw.

This conspiracy begins with a patrician named Lucius Sergius Catilina (Catiline), who found himself on the losing end of a consulship election in 64 BC. His opponent was the New Man, Marcus Tullius Cicero. Catiline was a former ally of Sulla. Rumors of Catiline’s direct involvement in Sulla’s purges dogged his image and, consequently, his career.

In 63 BC, Catiline ran again. This time, he was soundly defeated, making it clear the people’s vote was no path to power for him.

After the campaign, Catiline found himself in debt and alienated from political power in Rome almost altogether.

It is at this point, Catiline began to draw around himself indebted men of power who could help him execute his plan in exchange for having their debt relieved after he took power.

The conspirators planned on murdering most of the top leaders, especially targeting Cicero for assassination. The conspirators seem to have done a poor job at security because Cicero was able to deliver to the Senate letters alleging Catiline and others meant to do them harm.

From these letters, Cicero was able to secure a Senatus Consultum Ultimum, Senate’s ultimate decree. This granted full powers to the consul. It was only granted during times of emergency.

When certain dates passed without predicted action by the conspirators, Cicero’s standing began to weaken among the Senators. The fact that he was a New Man did not help his cause.

As Cicero’s power was waning, however, a confirmed assassination attempt was made on Cicero’s life.

On November 8, 63 BC, Cicero convened the Senate, delivering his famous First Catilinarian Oration. In the speech, Cicero directly accused a present Catiline of being a traitor of Rome. When Catiline rose in opposition, all he could offer in rebuke was personal insults.

He was shouted down, with the Senators around him intentionally moving away from him.

The message had been sent, so Catiline fled to Eritrea (the former homeland of Rome’s first major rival, the Etruscans).

While he was gone, he was declared an enemy of the state. Cicero would oversee the detainment, arrest, and execution of numerous conspirators, all of which were executed without trial. Catiline himself would die on the battlefield in 62 BC.

Cicero was trying to save the republic but his actions continued to affirm the precedent of state punishment without a Roman trial. Had he understood how existentially essential this standard is to a republic, I doubt he would have done what he did.

From thousands of years later, this is much easier to see than it was during Cicero’s time. Had you or I been in his position, without the understanding of republics we have thousands of years later, we may very well have acted in the same way, in passionate defense of our republic.

The conservatives of America would do well to heed Cicero’s warning through failed example.

The Catiline conspiracy stayed with Cicero for the rest of his life, and most likely led to his own assassination on December 7, 43 BC. He wasn’t killed because of his actions here, but they were used as a character witness against him, sealing his fate.

We will come back to Cicero after we first witness the third assassination of a leader of Rome, Julius Caesar (remember Cinna, Marius’ co-consol, was the second). The Republic went over 300 years without a head of state being assassinated. Now, in the span of four decades, there were three such assassinations.

THE END OF THE REPUBLIC

In 49 BC, Julius Caesar, a patrician, would cross the river Rubicon, this time not in an attempt to just occupy Rome, but in direct opposition to the power of the Senate. During his rise, which was achieved through both military conquest and political gamesmanship, Caesar played both sides of the Roman political divide, those who appealed to the patricians and those who appealed to the plebians.

Upon entering Rome, he would receive his first dictatorship, but only for a brief time. In 46 BC, the Senate appointed him Dictator for 10 years. In 44 BC, he was declared dictator for life. Less than 3 months later, he would be assassinated.

After his death, a civil war broke out in which hopes of a restoration of a republic were still at play. That hope died on December 7, 43 BC, when Marcus Tullius Cicero was beheaded by Roman soldiers (more on this coming).

THE IDES OF MARCHIn late June to early February of 44 BC, Julius Caesar was declared Dictator for Life by the Senate. By February 15, historians know he was already declared Dictator for Life. On that day, an incident happened at the fertility festival of Lupercalia. It is called the Lupercalia Incident.

Caesar’s nephew, Marc Antony, publicly offered Julius Caesar the crown of kingship. Caesar refused the crown, not once, but at least twice, and possibly as many as four times.

The incident was either a way to show the public they need not fear the power of a dictator, for he is no King, OR it was a test to see how the crowd would react. Had they acted more enthusiastically, he might have taken the crown.

Let us remember the last Roman King, Superbus, was an Etruscan. Kingship was as much of a boogeyman to fear in the Republic’s culture as Hannibal had become. Hannibal was the Carthaginian General who denuded the Roman countryside of soldiers.

On March 15, 44 BC, the Senate would not be meeting at the Senate House, for it was being renovated. Rather, they would be meeting at the Curia of Pompey. This was fitting for the conspirators since the eponym, Pompey, was a bitter rival to Caesar.

Pompey’s death in 48 BC marked the end of the vestige of the first triumvirate, which included Caesar and Crassus (who was killed first in a battle with the Parthians).

When Caesar entered the curia, around 60 assassins who called themselves “Liberatores” were waiting for him. They all had hidden daggers under their togas.

The Liberatores were led by Gaius Cassius Longinus and Marcus Junius Brutus. Their aim was to restore the Republic.

Lucius Tillius Cimber was assigned the task of sending the signal to attack, as well as setting Caesar up for the ambush. At the right strategic point, Cimber suddenly approached Caesar with a plea to recall his brother from exile. He then pulled Caesar’s toga down and prevented him from leaving the pre-assigned space.

Publius Servilius Casca was the first to strike Caesar with a dagger. 23 more blade strikes followed, but only one, according to the physician Antistius, was fatal. Caesar is alleged to have said to Brutus, “you too, child?

He also died at the feet of the statue of his past great rival, Pompey.

With the death of Caesar, what followed would have been uncertain to most Romans, but at least one man, Cicero, the man from the Catiline conspiracy, was still working to restore the Republic.

THE DEATH OF CICERO – After the assassination of Julius Caesar, Cicero publicly supported the Liberatores, the name the assassins had given themselves. Later, he hedged his bets, “acknowledging” they acted hastily, but he advocated for a general amnesty for the Liberatores in the well of the Roman Senate.

He was able to broker a compromise deal that saw Caesar’s reforms preserved, while the assassins were granted amnesty.

After Caesar’s nephew, Mark Antony, took control of Rome. Cicero turned to Caesar’s nephew, Octavius, for political aid. He is alleged to have commented on Octavian that he should be praised and honored while they need him, then disposed of when he ends his usefulness.

As it would turn out, Octavian was not the champion of the republic Cicero thought he was and was hardly a naïve politician.

While Octavian championed Cicero’s cause for a time, Cicero was busy writing and reciting a series of philippics against Marc Antony, calling him a threat to the republic. The Senate, with Cicero’s and Octavian’s influence, supported the war against Marc Antony.

The formation of the second triumvirate in November of 43 BC would be the death knell for Cicero. The triumvirate was a peace treaty between three factions, Antony, Octavius, and Lepidus. As part of the agreement, Antony demanded Cicero be placed on the proscription lists.

This is where Cicero’s involvement in the Catiline Conspiracy worked against him, for Antony and his allies used this as proof Cicero was not a champion of the republic. Furthermore, his actions were not done not to save the republic but to preserve his own power.

Ultimately, though, I suspect Octavius’ decision was purely based on personal power pursuit, nothing more, so even without the Catiline burden on Cicero, it was not likely that Octavian would have done anything other than what he did.

At best, the weight of that history made it harder for Cicero’s allies to find the zeal to defend him, while emboldening the zeal in his opponents, Anthony and his allies.

It is here where Octavius either made his final decision, to not work towards the restoration of the republic or where it became clear that was not his goal. Either way, Octavius agreed to the deal.

Cicero attempted to escape the death sentence, but he was eventually captured outside his villa in Formiae. He was alleged to have been broken in spirit when the Roman soldiers descended on his party. He ordered his litter to be let down before he bore his neck to a Roman soldier, saying “There is nothing proper about what you are doing, soldier, but try to kill me properly.”

The date was December 7, 43 BC, the unofficial death date of the Roman Republic.

BECOMING EMPIRE

“When after the destruction of Brutus and Cassius there was no longer any army of the Commonwealth, when Pompeius was crushed in Sicily, and when, with Lepidus pushed aside and Antonius slain, even the Julian faction had only Caesar left to lead it, then, dropping the title of triumvir, and giving out that he was a Consul, and was satisfied with a tribune’s authority for the protection of the people, Augustus won over the soldiers with gifts, the populace with cheap corn, and all men with the sweets of repose, and so grew greater by degrees, while he concentrated in himself the functions of the Senate, the magistrates, and the laws. He was wholly unopposed, for the boldest spirits had fallen in battle, or in the proscription, while the remaining nobles, the readier they were to be slaves, were raised the higher by wealth and promotion…”Tacitus, The Annals, Book 1

Agustus’ first title was not Emperor, but “First Citizen,” Princeps. His second title was Augustus, the “revered.” He was given the “civic crown,” as well as an imperium proconsulare (proconsular power) for 10 years over “imperial provinces” with major legions.

He also held the annual consulship, which he would do for the first four years of his reign, from 27 to 23 BC. Having it renewed yearly helped sustain its outward appearance of continuing a republic’s tradition.

AUGUSTUS’ REFORMS – The reforms of Augustus happened in two major waves, the first wave maintained most of the institutions of the republic, with even Augustus’ power being derived from republican institutions.

The first round of reforms was called the First Constitutional Settlement. These reforms were ostensibly intended to “restore” the Republic by creating a symbolic representation of power being given back to both the Senate and the people.

His first round of administrative reforms was limited to Imperial provinces. The Senatorial provinces remained under the old administrative system.

The second round of reforms in 23 BC made the republic not only effectively powerless, but without a consul as well. That office had been replaced by the Imperium Maius, which is effectively where Augusts becomes the now-obvious Emperor of Rome.

Augustus was also given the title tribunicia potestas for life, which is tribunician power. This added office gave him all power over all major institutions.

The provinces were now entirely under the emperor’s control, as the whole Empire converted to an Imperial administrative system. The Senate was purged of “unreliable members,” which meant both political and presence unreliability, as some Senators hadn’t been seen in years.

It was now officially clear the Senate was the rubber stamp of the emperor, a de facto administrative branch of the Empire, with the emperor selecting and deselecting Senators according to his preference alone.

THE DEATH OF AUGUSTUS – If the Empire was to hold, the death of Augustus would have been its first major test. In 9AD, Augustus would mourn the loss of his Roman legions in a German forest. Those legions were led by Publius Varus. He was ambushed in the Teutoburg Forest, where three Roman legions were eviscerated by a German alliance led by Roman-trained Arminius.

The battle was a portent of future problems for the Empire, but also the culmination of the beginning of an era called the Pax Romana, an almost 200-year epoch where the majority of the Mediterranean basin would see minimal wars and uprisings.

While the Pax Romana begins before Teutoburg (with August’s ascension as Princeps), the depth of this catastrophe would not be felt again, and it was a brief anomaly in the Pax Romana age.

The Pax Romana would begin to unwind in the late 160s AD under the last of the adoptive Emperors, Marcus Aurelius. With Aurelius’ death, the pax Romana would come to an end, and a new transition would begin, this one leading to balkanization and the emergence of new nations.

With the death of Augustus, Rome would learn it was an Empire after all.

On August 9, 14 AD, Augustus prepared to die, having already secured his succession from his adoptive heir, Tiberius Julius Caesar. His last words were “Have I played my part well? Then applaud as I exit.

Immediately after his death, the Senate duly carried out the wishes of Augustus and handed Imperial power over to his designated heir. The appointment of Tiberius in 14 AD establishes Rome as an Empire.

Beyond his administrative reforms, Augustus would also set the tone for the institutions to come, including cultural, social, and sacred ones. The Final Transition Form would emerge by the time of his death. As usual in transitions, parts of the previous state were retained in the new one, but there were many differences, and some of them profound.

THE FINAL TRANSITION FORM

NATIONAL STORY – The Republic’s national story was Cincinnatus, the Roman farmer who became consul to lead the defense of Rome against foreign invaders. After the enemy was vanquished, Cincinnatus gave up his power and returned to the plow.

Here was a man who had his own sword, his own shield, his own horse. He was a man who was growing his own food (for he worked the land himself), who put the interests of Rome above the interests of the pursuit of his own power.

It was a story of self-reliance in service of a virtuous republic. It was a story of the collective overcoming adversity while continuing to be comprised of self-reliant individuals.

In the Empire, the story was of Aeneas. In this story, the Trojan hero Aeneas becomes the source of the Roman people, a source whose bloodline runs through Augustus’ family, Caesar.

It is a story, in microcosm, of Empire-building, which cannot happen without the self-sacrifice of Aeneas, who considers his own happiness secondary to serving for the glory of the state.

Where Aeneas’ service to the state is never over, Cincinnatus is given his season of homestead living in service of his own household once he has completed his duties.

The Aeneid was commissioned by Augustus, so it is essentially empire propaganda, though Virgil managed to weave in a counter-narrative about the heavy toll of empire building on innocent human lives.

The version of Cincinnatus we get is largely from Livy, who wrote of him during Augustus’ time, though evidence exists he was real, having existed probably around the late 500s BC.

The earliest preserved reference to Cincinnatus comes from Cicero, who wrote of him in the 40s BC. His version was a little different than Livy’s, who stressed Cincinnatus’ poverty and his contentment with poverty when returning to the plow.

Even one of the Republic’s national stories had been tweaked to align with the Empire’s cultural “values.”

The national story shift was profound. It was no longer Cincinnatus, or even Romulus for that matter. It was Aeneas. The Republic had a real man who exemplified personal self-reliance, civic excellence, and sacrifice in defense of Rome. The Empire had a fictional man who exemplified total self-sacrifice to the state, even at the expense of personal self-reliance.

The emphasis in the Empire’s national story was in building and sustaining empire with no expectation of personal glory or wealth; it was not in protecting the virtuous Republic while living your own self-determined, self-sustaining life at home.

The Roman soldier of the Empire was issued his sword; The Roman soldier of Cincinnatus republic might well have made it himself (though that was not common, yet it happened with rare regularity).

Cincinnatus and Aeneas do not live in the same worlds, even though they worship the same gods and know many of the same stories (even if through different lenses).

GOVERNANCE – There is no real preservation of the governance of the Roman Republic into the Roman Empire. When Tiberius became the emperor, a de facto administrative and prestige body had replaced a policy-making body, but both were called the Roman Senate. This was a similar pattern found throughout the Empire’s new governance, which was effectively centralized control by one man, the emperor.

The Republic’s governance fed off competition and balances of power that took centuries to break down. The Empire’s governance demanded unquestioning compliance with the demi-god emperor. This demigod leadership would make religion the new justifier of state power. The Republic’s justification came from the civic participation and approval of the people.

RELIGION – Here is where we see the most continuity from one system to another. In Greek and Roman mythology, the stories of the gods were mostly about internal struggles, not declarations that fundamentally challenged governance standards.

The Roman gods were mostly all the same by the time of Augustus’ death, though one was added, mainly himself. Augustus began this cult by putting Julius Caesar up as “the divine father,” but as his reign went on, the emphasis was more and more on his own divinity.

The creation of a demigod as head of state did change religion’s influence on governance, however, for it made divine right the ultimate justification for power, whereas under the Republic, power was justified by the people’s assent.

FOREIGN POLICY – The Republic became an accidental Empire, largely led by perceived and real external threats that made them feel as if expansion was needed to protect themselves against further invasion. They had no coherent foreign policy, treating every conflict on a case-by-case basis.

This is not to say they did not have any consistent strategies at all; for instance, the Romans of the Republic certainly knew how to play factions against each other in competing states.

Generally, their overall policy can be said to be one of expansion, with military excellence being the primary driver of that expansion, not geopolitical gamesmanship.

With the Emperor, foreign policy became coherent, consistent, and strategically sophisticated. This Empire could advance with more than just military excellence, though a quality military continued to be a top priority for the Empire.

No longer strictly expansionist, provinces became businesses that were expected to make profits. Where profit could not be made, territory would not be held.

PHILOSOPHY – The Romans were not known for developing philosophical thought. In the Republic, philosophical speculation was not common, nor was philosophical discourse, in general. Of all the Greek philosophies, stoicism started to get a foothold in the days of the Republic.

It was an early form of stoicism that became the Republic’s justification for war, though it did not get integrated with governance as a whole.

The Empire would see two major schools become religions among the oligarchs, epicureanism and stoicism. Neither philosophy challenged the nature of state authority as both were all about the individual’s approach to life in all circumstances, not about changing the circumstances themselves.

Philosophy was internally focused, not external world-changing-focused.

ECONOMY – As the republic grew, wealth grew from land and war booty. If you couldn’t lead legions, you could at least own lands. Slavery was highly profitable in this system, so slavery expanded rapidly, which increased the inequality between the patricians and the plebians.

Not even the Servile Wars, slave rebellions, would make slavery cost prohibitive. The industrial age would take away the profit of slavery.

While war booty was not a source for wealth in the Empire (outside of periods of rebellion and instability), land ownership was still essential for the Roman who hoped to have any power in Rome, or wealth at home.

Under the Empire, the economy became more directed, moving from a concentration of wealth economy to a managed slave-semi-welfare economy. It is not fair to call the Roman Empire a welfare state, but it relied on “bread and circuses,” in the cities at least, to primarily keep the peace.

The continuation of slavery as a profitable practice could not have happened had the Empire not shifted some of the profit to the people of the cities to assure the engines of their Empire’s trade, the cities and the roads, kept running smoothly.

The economy was formalized under the Empire, with a standardized currency being introduced by Augustus and the development of a professional civil service to collect taxes. The civil service helped the constituents in that they replaced the “tax farmers,” men commissioned to collect taxes for the republic.

These tax farmers would try to collect above the contract, for that is how they were paid.

This was also a path to wealth which men could use to create political power in Rome. The civil service ended this path for the individual who had such ambitions. Tax collection was now largely a professional imperial institution, one that did not offer a path to state power.

CULTURE – The biggest shift in culture from the Republic to the Empire is how Greek culture became integrated into the Empire, where under the Republic, Greek culture was useful, but not to be fully trusted.

In the republic, the Roman citizen was expected to honor the ancestral custom, mos maiorum, have manliness, virtus, and fulfill their civic duty. In the Empire, culture became more cosmopolitan. While Roman rituals and customs continued, the meaning behind them was lost, so that the Roman part of their living became increasingly performative.

The Empire’s citizen was expected to honor the emperor, pay their taxes, and be fed and entertained in return for their compliance. The Republic’s citizen was called to a life of restraint and duty, while the Empire’s citizen was called to be part of the magnificent spectacle of Empire’s rewards.

EDUCATION – In the Roman Republic, education was mostly house-based. It was reserved for those who could afford tutors. While education curricula varied, they were very similar.

The focus of education was in preparing your child to have a career in the Senate. Public competition is what the student was being trained for, so they concentrated on oratory, persuasion, and legal argument.

Roman education was Greek education, specifically Greek intellectual culture. This would continue and only deepen in the Empire’s education system.

While household schooling was still happening, schools of rhetoric began to appear under the Empire. Education became more broadly standardized. Its focus changed from preparing men for competition to preparing men to serve a fixed hierarchy with predictable expectations.

In other words, education became about training administrators subservient to a Ruler and not competitors hoping to one day have their time as ruler.

ASSESSMENT

In this transition, what is left of the Republic after the transition is only the languages, the gods and the labels, whose functions were exapted, turning republican institutions into imperial ones, without having to change the terms to do so.

Even their religion was fundamentally altered. While religion was an essential part of statecraft, it was never a legitimizer of it. Religious respect was a reflection of the will of the people, not an imperial decree.

The addition of the emperor as a god made religion directly political, a trait the West would indirectly adopt.

The underlying stability of the Republic came not from the rules on paper, but the tacit rules that were more significant in sustaining stability than any of the laws on paper ever could be.

First, they broke the civic code, the unwritten standards, then they broke law code. First the Gracchi brothers broke the unwritten code that patricians don’t run for Tribune, then they broke laws after a newly elected tribune legally nullified all the reforms they had just made.

The oligarchs responded by murdering the offenders, convicting and punishing these men with no trial.

The tensions that drove the dynamics of Roman politics were mostly between the very wealthy and the next-in-lines, the equestrians and the well-to-do plebians. It wasn’t a battle of the very wealthy versus the very poor, it was a battle between the two top classes.

The poor were at best mob machines variously manipulated by men seeing to be the next last man standing.

Not covered in this transition, except in passing, is the growing slave rebellions, which culminated in the Third Servile War in 73-71 BC, the last great slave rebellion.

Generally, even the poor supported the slave system, so Rome’s engagement with slavery, from top to bottom, was rarely challenged by anyone but the slaves. No one used the plea of the slaves to create political power for themselves as Roman citizens, not the poor, not the wealthy.

The justification for authority was outwardly based on the people’s approval, but the real justification was, to me, the continued demonstration of reasonable good faith when engaged in political decision-making. They had emerged from a couple of centuries of violence under Kingships that culminated with the rape of their one of their own women, the matron Lucretia.

The trauma of that cycle of violence kept the Romans in civic Republicanism for over three centuries. Perhaps they simply forgot the trauma, or perhaps more confident men than Roman Republicans imagined they could truly be the last man standing, the one to end the ambitions of all other men through a projection of pure violent power alone.

First, they claimed an emergency to justify ad hoc slaughtering of political opponents, creating an “exception” to the violation of the Roman standard of “innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.”

When that garnered no backlash from anyone but the targets of the purges, and when those same targets willfully ALSO PURGED their opponents without trials, it was only a matter of time before an ad hoc practice became a new Rule of Law standard.

Now, leaders could declare you guilty and declare your sentence, without trial, just by putting you on their proscription lists.

If this sound like Imperial power, that’s because it is.

The moment when the standard of condemnation without trial could have been killed came with the Catiline Conspiracy. Cicero rightly recognized Catiline as a threat to the Republic, but his decision to essentially legitimize conviction without trial might have been the final straw that forever killed the power of the unwritten coded Republic.

If the Republic’s standards could not protect the Republic, then why have one in the first place?

If men could not defend themselves against accusations, the people could never affirm the state. The legitimization of power had to come from somewhere else, or the center would not hold.

When Augusts emerged as the last man standing, he didn’t immediately destroy all semblance of the republic, yet he effectively nullified their power. He existed in that liminality between “the people rule” and “the divine right of Kings.”

The Progressive Statist’s cries that “freedom of speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences” is doing the same thing Augustus did, taking a Republican institution and turning it into a progressive one. The Progressive Statist might be cleverer, though, since plainly even Americans understand Freedom of Speech doesn’t mean freedom from consequences.

But their consequences are corporate censorship, HR firings, and direct violence , consequences that render speech no longer free.

They started this path by claiming Nazis are a direct threat to “our Democracy,” therefore we are justified in using violence to silence their speech as long as its just citizens doing it, and not the government.

The progressive sustains the term “Freedom of Speech,” but with their definition tweaking, they effectively render it dead for anyone that accepts the definition change.

It is Augustus military power that largely preserves him initially, but had he not commissioned the Aeneid, one doubts if the transition from a republic to an Imperial Empire would have happened. It would have balkanized as challengers to an illegitimate power would have emerged, many most likely with radically different justifications for ruling over others.

The centralizing unity of Rome would have died with Augustus’ dying authority.

Yet even during and after the final transition, Augustus was still trying to restore republican values like moderation, self-reliance, and self-control. Where the Republic produced such spirits without laws, the Empire would fail again and again to restore such spirits with laws.

This is similar to Progressives pushing “Democratic values” within a system that affords no real opportunity for anyone outside of their orthodoxy to participate in that process. They’ll even attempt to pass censorship laws in the name of assuring “Democratic values” are preserved.

Apparently, dissent within a Democracy is undemocratic.

Like the Progressives who call their social caste authoritarian system a Democracy, Augustus clung to the old term, the Republic, calling it that until the day of his death. I suspect the Progressives would do the same even if they eventually pass laws banning non-progressives, even whites, from voting.

Augustus’ decision to exile his own daughter Julia for disobeying those same laws, serving as a symbol for the Empire’s failure to sustain the Republic’s self-reliant, self-sustaining, self-controlling, but also Republic-honoring and Republic-serving spirit.

The Empire would never be as loved by the people as the Republic was.

Virgil began work on the Aeneid before Augustus became Princeps. He was not finished until somewhere around 19 BC. By the time of Agustus’ Death in 14 AD, the Aeneid was the national story, establishing the new standard of the divine right of kings, a standard Western Europe would adopt on its own.

This has mostly been the standard of most human civilizations throughout human history.

As Republics first emerged in Western Europe, Monarchies would regularly go to war with them to kill the alternative model. Yet today, the standard legitimization for rulership in the West has once again returned to Rome’s, the will of the people, while the institutions of the West increasingly no longer reflect those values.

One does not sense the divine right of Kings might be coming back, but rather the truth through identity standard is coming back. This is the claim there is a mystical understanding of truth only accessible by truth-understanding classes of people. This means truth is justified by class, not data.

If truth is justified by class, then only the people in that truth-detecting class can be rulers. The state is legitimized by two things; the first is the claim that humans can perfectly understand the universal good AND design for outcomes to assure it, and the second claim is that only SPECIAL humans can understand the universal good and design for outcomes to assure it.

Still, in America, there yet exists a strong faction that assumes rulership is justified by the people’s approval, which is FUNCTIONING republicanism at its heart (as opposed to Augustus’ and Kim Jong Un’s Republics).

Rome began as a Kingship, but even those seven kings would have envied the concentration of power and demigod status of an emperor. One could argue the break from the King led to the dependence on an even greater tyrant, the emperor.

One could also argue the 300-plus year history of the Republic tells the story of a successful governance model that suffered the fate of all systems, entropy. The success of the model also enabled men to concentrate wealth, and thus power, at levels not seen until the end of the Republic’s days.

Here in America, we see a similar outcome with our Republic. It has produced opportunities for a concentration of wealth that was previously unprecedented. Men and women now have individual concentrations of wealth that dwarfs the yearly budgets of whole nations.

Elon Musk is the wealthiest of these people.

Perhaps the Roman Republic died at an old age, having given a whole people centuries of opportunity to grow. She lived a good life and died of natural causes. Would they say that about our Republic, America, should she not survive this crisis of unprecedented action we are now witnessing?

“On The Pervasive and Dangerous Evil Inflicted by the Shadow State of the City of London and its Puppet State in the UK and Around the World” – Bill Collier, alternative title for this Final Thought

The murder of the native British young man, Henry Nowak, has become the bellwether of the policies of anti-white progressivism pushed by the British state, which is London, not 10 Downing Street, the Prime Minister’s residence (even though it is also in London).

The UK is being driven towards a race war by two-tier policing that targets whites, especially white Christians, as the enemy.

The problem in the UK is a looming potential race war which benefits no one. Yet, for the City of London, a race war is preferable to the population fixing their opposition and anger on the real enemy, the City of London, the Shadow State of Britian that despises Britain.

The natives, however, are increasingly demanding the end of London’s power and influence, and possibly the breakup of their financial empires once and for all.

These are hard times to love liberty while being a native British person in your own country. For white Christian native British people, it is especially difficult to see your own country’s cops and government become your enemy. But who is the real culprit, the non-white colonizers? This is where some whites are being led, down the path to violent racism that leads to violent race wars.

This is what the real culprit behind Henry Nowak’s murder wants, a race war to distract you from its direct guilt.

I will argue that the culprit here is the City of London as a state within the state, and that the victims of their global corpostate system are not just white British Christians, they include Nigerian Christians and Igbo people, who also oppose a City of London corpostate puppet regime, namely Abuja, the capital of Nigeria.

What’s a person who really doesn’t think we as human beings should be divided by race to do, especially if you happen to be classified as a white Christian in a system that actively hates you?

White Christians didn’t choose to be white, to be native English, Scots, Welsh, and Irish in a land whose laws and culture favored their native culture and beliefs. They did not choose to be born there, but many would proudly choose their culture and their heritage every time. A strong desire to live in a place where your culture and way of life are favored and supported by law and custom is practically a human necessity.

The bellwether for the catastrophic effect of policing against your own country’s peoples and ways is the murder of Henry Nowak by a Sikh man using a ceremonial blade that he was allowed to carry despite the fact that nobody else in the UK is allowed to carry a knife.

Henry Nowak was walking out in the public at night when he was stabbed in the face and body. As he tried to crawl away from his killer, he was stabbed in the legs and back.

He bled out while the Southampton Police handcuffed him, denied he was stabbed, ignored him when he said he couldn’t breathe, and when they discovered he had been murdered by the Sikh, they arrested the Sikh without handcuffing him.

The police claim he could not have been saved, but even if he couldn’t, they couldn’t have known that since they gave no serious examination of his body to see if he had been stabbed.

The last moments of Henry Nowak’s life were spent being ignored while bleeding out, and falsely accused of being racist by his own murderer. The colonist’s testimony held all the credibility with the cops, because they had been clearly trained to despise white boys, especially British white boys.

He was treated like a criminal because his killer accused him of being racist to get out of randomly murdering him.

In the UK, if a brown person accuses a white person of committing a hate-speech crime, that white person might go to jail. Thousands of white British people, mostly Christians, have been charged with hate speech crimes. Getting a figure on the amount of people fully prosecuted and imprisoned is not possible.

Asking AIs for the number gave me answers that align with the official UK narrative.

They claim the amount of people put in prisons for “hate crimes,” while in the thousands, include people who are in there for violent crimes, but “hate crime” was added to their crimes.

The real figure, they suggest, is a couple dozen to a hundred people are in prison in the UK at any one moment for violating hate crime laws. Skepticism abounds in response to these answers.

If you are attacked and stabbed for being white, you will be treated with hateful contempt. Those cops’ actions proved a culture of anti-white hatred pervades the police force, even to the extent that white cops have been trained to see their own people with the same contempt as their enemies do.

What’s happening in the UK is a blatant population and culture replacement, mostly from Muslim Far East, Near East, and North African countries.

The colonizers are told on their way over that being white is a sin, an evil, and that “colonizing the colonizers” is just. The people making these decisions are ones who ostensibly derive their authority from the approval of the very people they are demonizing to their planvasion street fighters.

Nobody asked the British if they wanted their religious and cultural lifestyle to be replaced by curry and kebabs, and their churches with Mosques that lionize Palestinian terrorists and preach hatred against Christianity.

Nobody asked England if their capital should no longer look, smell, or sound British anymore or if laws prohibiting dissent against population replacement and cultural erasure should be enacted.

The British police automatically believed a murderer over a victim because the victim was white and British. The British police let the native die to appease the colonizer. Their very actions should mark them as insurrectionists against the British State.

The police made Henry’s last moments a horrible hell. They taunted him while he lay dying, accusing him of being a racist just for being white. There are legitimate racists, but the libelous claim against all white people being racist just for being white has consequences we can see and hear: murder. The people pushing this literally want to genocide the white race.

I should remind our readers that in many public schools across America today, “teachers” are telling children the world is working towards one mission, the elimination of whiteness and white privilege. This has been going on for ten years.

The chickens are about to come home on that violent action soon enough.

The UK government, which has zero accountability, and which is losing its legitimacy, responded to Nowak’s murder first by affirming no change to the law allowing Sikh’s to carry knives while white Christians are jailed for wrongspeak against the regime.

The native British are under attack by their own government, a government whose ministers increasingly lack British names.

The British are being forced to be disarmed on streets increasingly filled with people who hate the British people. All a brown non-Christian has to do when in competition with a British native is accuse them of racism. From that testimony alone, minimally, the native British citizen would lose their job.

The Child Rape Grooming Gangs show how just the FEAR of appearing to be racist pushed cops to aggressively harass and arrest the victims and their family members when they tried to get justice.

The powers that be are making life hell for their own white citizens. They also make life a struggle for survival for the Igbo of Nigeria, a Christian people with a long, self-sustaining history.

The City of London is a corrupt entity that has done much harm around the world, not the least of which is the Biafran genocide paid for in British pounds. But the British people aren’t the City of London, and that institution has ruled over them without any humanity, treating the whole world, including the UK, as a slave plantation.

It took a while for the City of London to try to consume its host, but here we are.

A race war looms. White British Christians are feeling three things: a strong sense of identity about being white (race consciousness as the left puts it, but only for non-white people), a strong sense of imminent harm to their children by non-white and non-Christian people and their white allies in power, and finally a feeling that nothing worse could be said about them so there is no need to worry about appearances or red lines.

The accusation of racist is now a self-accusation of treason to the white British citizen.

When you demonize the native British people and arrest them in the thousands for dissenting against your population replacement program, you get the making of a civil war or revolution.

Make no mistake, the policy of the left in the UK is to replace native British people and to exterminate the Christian faith and culture from the land by using the bodies of imported people who hate your native population, who have no loyalty, and who can be made to be good work slaves for the City of London.

This isn’t hyperbole and the murder of this young man by a Sikh foreigner who obviously hates Britain has physically and emotionally proven the theory to be true. The conclusion they have come to is that if their child is raped or killed by a non-white, the government will protect the rapists and the killers because that’s how you end whiteness and white privilege.

What would race war look like?

In today’s Britian, it’s where the government is viewed as a hostile occupation and any armed resistance becomes morally justified, including attacks against groups that are not white and/or Christians, or just not British in the eyes of the angry mobs.

It can get ugly. Random killings or beatings will begin against people who are spouting anything anti British, or whole groups of non-white people in a community may be set upon because the locals don’t want to walk down their own streets and feel like it’s India or Pakistan or Africa. It’s not rational, fair, or just. Innocent people will be harmed.

The British government must support and favor the British identity as the basis of citizenship and social standing without being bigoted toward those who don’t fit that category. Instead of common sense, they cling to their woke tyranny and population replacement in service of a global corpostate run by the City of London, but never for the good of the country that acts as its host, a host it is cannibalizing.

Former Labour speechwriter Andrew Neather revealed in a 2009 Evening Standard article that a key motivation behind the government’s decision to loosen immigration controls from around 2000 (including not imposing transitional controls on EU accession countries in 2004) was partly political.

Earlier drafts of a speech by Immigration Minister Barbara Roche included a “driving political purpose: that mass immigration was the way that the Government was going to make the UK truly multicultural.”

Neather recalled discussions suggesting the policy was intended—even if not the main economic goal—to “rub the Right’s nose in diversity and render their arguments out of date.”

The proof of “diversity” lies dead in a British front yard, bled out in front of state authority, who found his claims of being stabbed contemptible because he was not “diverse.”

It turns out merely implementing their genocidal plan has proved their ideas to be “out of date.”

The population replacement theory is proven in that very moment, because no fair and sane police officer who has real affection for their own people would make that young man’s last moments of pure hell and misery.

In the UK, the white Christian who identifies with the British culture and way of life, and whose ancestors lived in the land for over 500 years, has become to British politicians a dissident voting block that must be overcome by any means necessary, including strategic planvasions of paid non-white, non-Christian (especially anti-Christian and anti-white) colonizers.

The UK’s native population have watched while their own native brothers and sisters opened the door to a well-funded colonizer army, who then became the new leaders of that same nation, as they are to this day.

British politicians are puppets of the City of London’s global corpostate which evinces a design of global slavery. The minority groups in the UK are being weaponized against the British, but once they fulfill this, they will find they get no reward and if their people ever wake up to dissent against the authoritarianism, they will just be replaced also.

This isn’t really about race. People who aren’t white aren’t the enemy. Even the ones who act out and exploit their actual privilege are nothing without the slave masters from the City of London regime backing them up and pushing ideologies that justify their crimes as social justice for white guilt.

What the London Shadow State (as I call it) are doing to the natives of Britian, they did in Biafra, the homeland of the Igbo.

What is happening in Nigeria with anti-Christian persecution and genocide and with anti-Igbo genocide is also a City of London project.

Tony Blair’s government was the most openly connected puppet state to the City of London. The current British King is but a puppet, as is his son, William, both of whom extol the virtues of migration while attacking Christianity.

Race War could come to the UK and the City of London’s actual rulers will say, “we prefer the slaves fight each other rather than us.”

It will be a war between the discardable violent pawns of the City of London and its intended victims. The City of London will be the only beneficiary after the wars are ended.

The City of London is a shadow government that is the real government of the UK, and it views native British people as an obstacle to be overcome, especially after Brexit, which they hated to see. Their reach across the world has diminished.

Their inability to competently manage a military has left them toothless on the geopolitical stage. As their power shrank globally, they increased it domestically.

The world continues to suffer because of the City of London’s global corpostate agenda. Canada, the UK, Australia, and New Zealand are all ruled through puppet governments by the City of London and are being forced to accept a “Wokeist” anti-British culture and population replacement to atone for their sins, sins perpetuated by the City of London, not by every or many British people.

The City of London is ruled by arrogant fools who have too much power and money and whose chief hobby is playing gods to the world through such social experiments as population replacement.

They don’t just replace white people. They have done population replacement for centuries, they are literally the entity behind the Atlantic Slave Trade and when this was taken away from them, their cravings for being lords over an empire of slaves shifted from brown people and black people to anyone, including white people.

Today, many of the hidden rulers in the City of London system are the wealthy and the members of the Royal families of Muslim countries. The current US President is generally allied to them even as he seems to be a force of will which they cannot control.

This regime used the accusation of whiteness to justify population replacement, while denying they meant what they said, as noted above. Yet the “crimes” that justify this racist view of the white British were perpetrated by this same power, London power.

These “crimes” were committed for the benefit of the London elites, not the British citizens.

The London Shadow State is the institution that alone bears the guilt, and they are shifting that guilt to white people in general, while dodging their own institutional guilt.

It is not fair or right to suppress, oppress, and replace white Christian British natives over historical injustices they neither participated in nor benefited from. The wealth of the British Empire fed this cabal, not the average Brit, who even now lags far behind their American offspring in economic and civil rights terms.

The global corpostate systems, one being the City of London and one being the Coastal Elites who want to turn America into a tool and host for their own global agenda, are the enemy.

White people are not evil, nor are brown and black, red or yellow people. What makes a people evil is their cultural being, not their biological being, and even then, what makes a person evil is their individual actions, not the culture they were born into.

But even where the cultures imported have proven to be evil (Pakistani Islamist culture producing child rape gangs targeting whites and Sikhs), vanquishing the real terror, the London Shadow State, will empower the white British to prosecute crimes committed against them.

Without London’s protection, even if Pakistani rape culture comes to town, its existence would be short-lived as its offenders would be imprisoned and deported already.

Attacking races will only empower London, leaving everyone left alive right where they were when they started, under a tyrant’s thumb. Let us hope the rising justified rage of the British people is turned on London and not the colonizers.

Destroy the power of London, then peacefully deport the colonists. This is the only sane and potentially successful way to preserve the British nation.

GLOBAL OUTLOOK

  1. SAVE ACT DIES AGAINThanks to four Republican Senators, efforts by the GOP to pass the SAVE Act failed once again. The Act would make Voter ID mandatory. Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) attempted to add it as an amendment to DHS funding bills, but the provision failed thanks to four GOP no votes.
  2. SENATE GOP FUNDS DHS, KEEPS TRUMP LAWFARE HOPES ALIVEBy a vote of 49-50, a vote to eliminate the formation of a future fund for lawfare victims of the Biden administration failed. The Senate GOP also managed to pass $70 billion for immigration enforcement funding through the DHS. The Senate engaged in an all-night voting session that lasted into the early morning hours.
  3. DEMOCRATS PASS UKRAINE WAR FUNDING BILL IN HOUSEThe U.S. House has passed a funding bill for the Ukraine War in the amount of $18 billion. The bill passed 226-195 with the help of 18 Republicans who crossed party lines to help the Democrats pass the funding bill.
  4. ICE HAS HAD ENOUGH IN DELANEY HALLAfter days of assaults on an ICE detention center in New Jersey called Delaney Hall, ICE officers were given the green light to execute mass arrests, which they did, ending interference with operations.

Democrat leaders, including the Governor of New Jersey, continue to vilify ICE in the public, which seems to often be followed up by a round of violent actions by “protesters” who are well coordinated and well-funded. Evidence mounts that these are professional agitators who go from one “protest” to the next on someone’s dime.

  1. RESTORE DELIVERS CHILLING GROOMING GANG TESTIMONYRestore Britian’s Rupert Lowe delivered a heartbreaking report on the national tragedy of the Pakistani child rape gang epidemic. Reform UK responded by calling the report foolish, while the other political parties called it irrelevant and pointless.

The testimonies reveal police compliance, and even participation the child rape gangs, and a barrage of testimonies on how the fear of the police even appearing to look racist led them to ignore, and also harass, the victims and their parents.

Read more about Britian’s “anti-racist ideology” conflicts in our Final Thought on pg. xx.

  1. TRUMP CHOOSES FANNIE MAC MAN TO REPLACE GABBARD“I am appointing the Director of the Federal Housing Finance Agency, and Chairman of Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, William J. Pulte, to serve as Acting Director of National Intelligence. William has deep experience managing the most sensitive matters in America, the safety and soundness of the Markets, and over 10 Trillion Dollars at Fannie Mae/Freddie Mac, a substantial increase from where it was just 12 months ago.” – President Donald Trump

Trump initially hinted Pulte would be his permanent choice, but after pushback from within his own party, he backed off that commitment. He claimed Pulte wouldn’t want to make that type of commitment anyway.

  1. DOJ ENDS TRUMP’S LAWFARE FUNDThe Department of Justice under acting Attorney General Todd Blanche has announced plans to cancel the “anti-weaponization” fund aimed at compensating Americans who had been politically prosecuted by the Biden administration. The President also recently indicated he would select Blanche to become the Senate confirmed Attorney General nominee.
  2. ALABAMA REDISTRICTING UPHELD BY SCOTUSThe Supreme Court of the United States has upheld a recent redistricting map from the Alabama GOP that will eliminate the sole “majority-black” district. The ruling is another gerrymandering wars win for the GOP.
  3. APPEALS COURT PREVENTS TRANS TROOP REMOVALA U.S. Court of Appeals of DC panel ruled 2-1 that the President could not remove currently serving trans members of the military. The ruling also concluded the President could continue prohibiting trans people from joining. The response from the Secretary of War, Pete Hegseth, was “See you at SCOTUS.”
  4. GOP HOUSE PASSES RESOLUTION TO END IRAN WARThe U.S. House voted 215 to 208 on a resolution to end the Iran War. The resolution passed with the help of four Republicans who crossed the aisle to vote against their party’s President. The vote is symbolic as it most likely would not pass the Senate, and it certainly wouldn’t be signed into law by the President.

  2. TRUMP DOWNPLAYS CHINA’S ANTI-DATA CENTER AGIT PROP CAMPAIGN IN AMERICAPresident Trump told the press at a White House event he does not think China is engaging in agit prop campaigning to drive Americans to not support AI Data Centers. His response suggested even if China could do such a thing, it wouldn’t be effective.
  3. TRUMP’S EUROPE RETREAT APPEARS TO BE REVERSINGAfter President Trump had signaled the U.S. might scale back its military presence in Europe, he is now signaling both continued troop rotations AND increases in nuclear weapons deployment.
  4. DID POLAND CRACK OPEN THE GAY MARRIAGE DOOR?Poland’s Catholic Bishops are warning a recent court ruling recognizing foreign gay marriages will undermine Poland’s constitution, which strictly forbids it.
  5. U.S. CLAIMS SOMALIA SOVEREIGN OVER SOMALILANDPresident Trump has decided to not recognize the sovereignty of the state of Somaliland. The administration went further in a report from the State Department claiming the U.S. recognizes Somalia as having sovereignty over Somaliland. The report also claims the U.S. is open to cooperating with Somaliland on security issues.

PEOPLE ADVANCE REPORT

  1. TINA PETERS FREED“I know that the Democrats are going to cheat. No one’s really addressing the problem that I spent my time in prison as retribution for, and that was exposing the election machines that allow the votes to be flipped. I’m very concerned and burdened with why no one is talking about this.” – Tina Peters, Election Fraud Whistleblower, after being released from prison. She had been locked up for 20 months.
  2. DON LEMON CATCHES FEDERAL CHARGESAfter the city of Minneapolis and the state of Minnesota failed to prosecute progressive state activist Don Lemon, the Federal government has stepped in. He will face numerous Federal charges after the city AG claimed there was insufficient evidence.
  3. VA PROSECUTORS REJECT PROGRESSIVE GUN LAWSA growing number of Virginia prosecutors have declared they will not enforce the recent spate of gun control laws passed by the newly elected Progressive government. The number is up to 13 but is expected to rise.
  4. BOLTON PLEADS GUILTYDonald Trump’s former National Security advisor, John Bolton, will reportedly plea guilty to classified document handling charges. Bolton was an avid detractor of Trump who initially called the charges political.
  5. HUMAN MEMORY STORAGE EXPLODES IN ASTROCYTESA brain cell previously believed to be, at best, a support cell, has turned out to be a source for human memory storage that exponentially exceeds previous models. That brain cell is called an astrocyte. The discovery was made by a team at MIT.

By a vote of 49-50, a vote to eliminate the formation of a future fund for lawfare victims of the Biden administration failed. The Senate GOP also managed to pass $70 billion for immigration enforcement funding through the DHS.

Senate Republicans pass bill authorizing $70bn for immigration enforcement in vote-a-rama – US politics live | US news www.theguardian.com

EXCERPT:

Senate Republicans on Thursday narrowly scuttled an attempt by Democrats to stop Donald Trump from creating a $1.8bn fund to pay his allies, even as signs emerged that dissent over the proposal was spreading inside the US president’s own party.

Democratic Senate minority leader Chuck Schumer had proposed inserting language barring the payouts into Republican-backed legislation to fund Trump’s mass deportation campaign through the duration of his term.

After a vote that stretched for three hours as groups of senators were spotted huddling on the chamber’s floor, the amendment failed by a 49-50 vote. Three Republican senators, all of whom are seen as vulnerable in November’s midterm elections, broke with their party to join all Democrats in support.

Senate Republicans pass bill authorizing $70bn for immigration enforcement in vote-a-rama

Senate Republicans early Friday passed a bill that would provide the Department of Homeland Security with nearly $70 billion in new funds for immigration enforcement.

The vote came after a more than 18-hour “vote-a-rama”, a process by which senators offer amendments to bills passed using the reconciliation procedure. The Senate’s Democratic minority leader, Chuck Schumer, had said earlier this week that he would use vote-a-rama to force Republicans into publicly defending the policies of Donald Trump, a move that ultimately forced Senate Republicans to drop their attempt to spend $1bn on security improvements for Trump’s White House ballroom.

Among the amendments voted on in this marathon session was an attempt introduced by Schumer to kill the “anti-weaponization fund” and stop Trump from creating a $1.8bn fund to pay his allies. The measure was narrowly defeated in a 49-50 vote after three Republican senators broke with their party to join all Democrats in support.

Thanks to four Republican Senators, efforts by the GOP to pass the SAVE Act failed once again. The Act would make Voter ID mandatory. Senator Lindsay Graham (R-SC) attempted to add it as an amendment to DHS funding bills, but the provision failed thanks to four GOP no votes.

EXCERPT:

A Republican effort to attach key election-integrity provisions to a major immigration enforcement funding package failed in the Senate after four GOP lawmakers joined Democrats to block the amendment.

The proposal, offered by Sen. Lindsey Graham (R-SC), would have added provisions from the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act to a nearly $70 billion budget reconciliation package focused on funding Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) and Border Patrol operations.

The amendment sought to require proof of U.S. citizenship for voter registration, establish voter identification requirements, and implement additional election-security measures.

China among top buyers as gold overtakes US Treasuries in global reserves: ECB – South China Morning Post
News Source

EXCERPT:

China is one of the world’s largest buyers of gold as central banks shift towards the precious metal, which has overtaken US Treasuries to become the world’s top reserve asset amid higher valuations and its appeal as a geopolitical hedge, the European Central Bank said.

The world’s second-largest economy was the fourth-largest per-country buyer of gold in 2025 after Poland, Kazakhstan and Brazil, purchasing about 25 tonnes, the ECB stated. It estimated that China had bought more than 350 tonnes of gold since early 2022, more than any other country.

Gold accounted for 27 per cent of global official foreign reserves at the end of 2025. By contrast, US Treasury bonds – long considered one of the world’s safest reserve assets – fell to 22 per cent, with the euro making up 15 per cent. Those figures comprised both foreign exchange holdings and gold, the Frankfurt-based central bank said in a report this week.

Gold’s share topped Treasuries and the euro mainly because of “valuation effects”, with prices rising by about 60 per cent last year and 30 per cent in 2024, according to the report. These gains “mechanically increase the share of gold in total official foreign reserves”, the central bank said.

The Socialist Party will no longer be running a candidate for president. The Democratic Party is leading this country to Socialism much faster than we could ever hope to.” Norman Thomas

In this issue’s Final Thought, I will provide a brief update on our Hope Estates Project, but right now we are in a season of little action due to contractor coordination, which includes selecting and making estimate appointment we can all keep.

After this brief update, I will also share with you my thoughts on the recent removal of a child from a parent’s home by the state of California after the parent refused to allow the child to go through “gender affirming therapy.”

HOPE ESTATES UPDATE

In the Riqueday Castle in Canton, work has begun on repairing our broken water pipes from the 2025 ice storm. We are coordinating times to have a series of estimates done on the castle to improve/replace/repair roofing, doors, basement floors, waterproofing, and windows, along with estimates for a new bathroom/shower on the second floor and adding showers to the two bathrooms.

We hope to get an overall estimate of the cost of a dramatic, sudden, and total restoration and customization. Once we know the figure, we will have a goal.

In the Harrisburg estate, work is almost complete on the apartment on the 3rd floor that will allow publisher Bill Collier to go to Washington, D.C. more often. D.C. is where business leads reside for our parent company, Regal Blue Media.

By next month, we hope to have answers on the total cost of our hoped core level of renovation.

THE GENDER REVOLUTION

A series of news events this month connected to the Democratic Party highlights, to me, the divide that exists between Americans and Progressives. That divide is so dramatic it has become existential, meaning governance by progressives is an existential threat to Americans, and vice versa.

Earlier this month, the Democratic National Committee released the much talked about 2024 Election Autopsy report. The report wasn’t released voluntarily, it was released after CNN let the DNC know the report was already leaked to them.

The report itself did not interview the key people involved in the election, including the Democrats’ Presidential candidate Kamala Harris.

The man who released the product, the much aligned (within his own party) chair of the DNC, Ken Martin, said of the product, “I am not proud of this product; it does not meet my standards, and it won’t meet your standards…”

He suggested that he could not “in good faith put the DNC’s stamp of approval on it.”

Since its beginning, the progressive nation has had to play a double game, advancing the anti-American progressive agenda while continuing to rely on the fruit of American power to incubate the progressive nation from within.

It is a parasitical host seeking to utilize American power for progressive ends.

Since its inception, it’s had to play the game of concealment, trained in the art of agit prop from the beginning, by necessity, if it hoped to continue to build progressive institutions in American bones. If it moved too fast, if it was too transparent, it would be routed out like the parasite it is and consigned to the dustbin of history.

The parasite itself is built on the lie that “expert” humans can steward the beliefs and preferences of the masses better than the masses can themselves.

This lie is an existential threat to the founding principle of the republic, that we have inherent rights beyond government authority, even corporate authority, to steward our own preferences and beliefs.

It tried to insert itself initially using class warfare, which it still uses, based on economic status, but the American institutions, even hampered by progressive infections (starting with earnestness in 1913), was not creating the massive poor subclass the progressives were hoping it would.

So, in the 1960s they switched to race, then they added sexual preference, then they added gender confusion. Each stage that followed race was justified by it, for the underlying power of the progressive comes from the white devil myth.

The white devil invented evil; therefore, we are justified in dismantling the white devil’s inventions, which includes the American republic.

The progressive must increase his blindness to sustain his delusion, but the more he is deluded, the more naked his actions become, revealing the true anti-American nature of the progressive nation within these lands.

The 2024 Election Report couldn’t look at the two hard truths the Democrats can ill afford to face, they lost the election because they couldn’t stuff enough mass mailer ballot drops and the Republicans have yet to offer an actual clear American counter to the progressives (this includes Trump by this writer’s assessment).

Many Americans don’t even show up for elections anymore. This writer is one of those people. For when the Republicans appear to largely be playing in the progressive America game rather than the American game, it gives us little reason to vote outside of desperate defensive action (which is a reasonable position).

At this point, the progressives are so far removed from the American lens, they can no longer hide just how different they are from us. A Democrat candidate for U.S. congress, Maureen Galindo, is campaigning with the promise to throw Zionists into an ICE detention center outside San Antonio, Texas. To her, political violence is not just acceptable, it’s compelled.

Political violence is a virtue when you are sure everyone outside your group is a Nazi, which progressives assuredly do. At this point they have to, for if the enemy is even remotely reasonable, they will have to see facts that will gut their being and condemn them for the very sins they have long imagine they were fighting against, racism, bigotry, authoritarianism, elitism, and even corporatism.

If they are fighting the white devil, who is very real and very genocidal, their sins are virtues. And these last 10 years, progressives, from the street fighter to the President, have been committing violent acts of insurrection against the republic IF the white devil myth is a lie (and it is).

To the progressive, a conservative veteran is a traitor, for he serves the white supremacist nation, America, not his America, the progressive U.S. We see this in their Maine Senate candidate, Graham Platner, an alleged recovered Nazi, now progressive.

He made a comment on a video in 2019 about an Afghanistan War Veteran and Purple Heart recipient being shot in a firefight with the Taliban. He said, “This video never gets old. Dumb mother#^@$er didn’t deserve to live. At least his stupidity and fat a@% wheezing are available for all future infantrymen to witness and hold in contempt.”

He has doubled down on that comment.

Even for the Democrats, though, this naked anti-Americanism is too dangerous, too fast, too soon, so they’ve taken to finally calling him out despite not doing so when it was just reported he might have been a Nazi in a previous life.

To the Democrats, the process is secondary to the goal. They seem to have little understanding that the process of achieving the goal can sometimes undermine that very goal, and even when it doesn’t, it can also build unsustainable institutions. You win the crown but lose the kingdom.

Lies are security expenses that explode security expenses while they also make the liars blind.

The Democrat believes in such things as useful lies, noble lies. He must, or else he would have to open up his eyes and see the white devil was him the whole time. Democrats, the Nazi calls are coming from within your own home.

The Republicans were recently able to pull off a little mask-off theater with the Democrats when a House subcommittee held a hearing on the allegations that the left intends on packing the Supreme Court to ram through their fundamental transformation of America.

During the committee, the members were offered an opportunity to condemn such actions. Not one Democrat took up the offer.

Democrats act as if they will never lose power again, because they don’t plan on doing so.

No one pulls a weapon if they think it will be used against them, unless they are a fool, or desperate.

In this case the weapon, court packing, might be enough to end its need after a few new key rulings that will surely be fast-tracked the moment such a court is confirmed.

This writer does not believe the Democrats are fools, even if they are down to one squinting eye when they look at the world. They may be getting increasingly desperate, but they still have real power, including in the courts, and real hope they can pull off a Midterm win.

They are not recklessly desperate, rather they are recklessly confident.

Were they to imagine power shifts, they would understand how destabilizing to society it would be if after every party change the terms of civic governance were existentially changed.

There would be a breakdown in legacy understanding across the board as institutions would crumble with each new court packing or purging effort, rendering them unable to mature, unable to build expertise, which would ironically destroy the priest-class of the progressive.

The nakedness of the anti-republicanism of the Democratic Party was made fully naked before the world. Lucky for them, the world largely missed it.

The capstone of the nakedness of the anti-republican nature of the Democratic Party to me is their willingness to use corporate and state violence to attempt force onto Americans their gender ideology.

Just 10 years ago, catching a mainline Democrat advocating the state take away the child of a parent who refused to allow their child to receive “gender affirming care” would be near-impossible. Anyone suggesting we were heading down that road would be called a fake news spreading white supremacist homophobic transphobe Nazi.

They would be nuked from corporate and government life.

Now, California is openly seizing children from parents for refusing to allow them to pursue the transgendered lifestyle.

To the progressive, they are sure they are right that children need to be told about the fluidity of gender. This belief is dangerous, but not anti-American in and of itself.

Where the progressive crosses the line is when they assume that the first belief justifies this second one, that corporate coercion and state coercion can be used to FORCE Americans to live as if that belief were true.

To the progressive, the allowable thought is to be protected by force from the unallowable thought. They do not live in American bravery, unafraid of bad thoughts in public spaces; they live in fear of the white devil killing them all lest they stay vigilant in eliminating all the white devil powers, its institutions.

As a matter of fact, they would call an appeal to American bravery in the face of public wrongness nothing but code for white supremacism, cutting off critical processing of the full contextuality of such a now “dangerous” belief as individual liberty.

These institutions include the Bill of Rights, the Bible, meritocracy, the gender binary, heterosexual normalization, the nuclear family, the family, the age of consent, marriage, etc.….

Yet while they fight to dismantle the white devil’s power, they use his power, his American rule of law, to block direct resistance to the spreading infection.

Now, they’re about to no longer even need that power, as they clearly don’t seem to follow it in California. In Progressive California, it is illegal to assume, as a parent, your child should not be allowed to go through gender therapy that assumes their assumption they can change the sex they were born as.

Transgenderism was the last tip of the progressive spear, built on the power of the disenfranchised victim being existentially threatened by the white devil’s institutions, but it is also the unmasker of the parasite itself.

It reveals the existential divide between a people who are fighting the white devil of their own making and a people just wanting to pursue their own happiness on their own terms, respecting the rights of others to do the same.

Yet increasingly we are recognizing that more and more of our neighbors, our progressive neighbors, never intended to play the American game at all, even if they are only now realizing it. They are not respecters of American liberty, so they should no longer receive it.

The progressives feel the same about us, we are no respecters of progressive moral codes, we deserve no progressive equity.

The political battles in America aren’t as neat and tidy as the white devil fighters versus the Americans, but this writer believes the real heart of power in this land exists with these two factions. Yet one of them, the American one, has yet to discover who and what it is as most Americans are either still looking to Trump and the RNC or are disenfranchised altogether.

Unless and until American parties emerge outside the RNC and DNC, the effective resistance to the parasite now emerging as its own nation, Progressive U.S., will continue to  only be blunted, at worse, which will only delay the inevitable collapse and probable balkanization of our republic.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY

We have selected four bellwether trends in U.S. Politics, Geopolitics, Culture, and Sci-Tech news for the month of May 2026. This report analyzes the four selected bellwether trends in each major category. It also includes a general analysis of that category.

We provide a general analysis of the markets, with a primarily American focus. We end our report with an overall assessment of the past month.

In our quarterly Situation Report, we also include a RECOMMENDED ACTION and PREDICTIVE ANALYSIS section. Our next Quarterly Situation Report is scheduled for July 10, 2026.

U.S. POLITICS

For updates on the 2026 election and gerrymandering wars, read our Deep Dive, Midterm is Coming, on pg. 2.

BACKGROUND – The White House shooting that left the shooter dead and one bystander injured was hardly a ripple in the news reporting world compared to what such an event might have been in the recent past. It seems Americans are getting so inured to violence that a man opening fire on the White House is hardly a surprise to many people anymore.

The rhetoric across America from both the “left” and the “right” is only getting more pitched, and the versions of reality each side presents is getting increasingly disconnected from one another.

What we have yet to see is any significant American movement aimed at replacing both major political parties.

1.1. PROGRESSIVE USThe Left is bifurcating along gentle transformation and radical transformation lines, with the radical transformationists becoming increasingly disenfranchised while the gentle transformationists are simply becoming feckless. Perhaps not coincidentally, the divisions are reflected in their positions on Israel and the Iran War.

The gentle transformationists support Israel and at least don’t condemning the Iran War, and the radical transformationists hate Israel and support the mullahs in Iran (more on this in our geopolitical section).

1.2. CONSERVATIVE USThe conservatives have also been dividing over Israel and the Iran War, but neither camp is attempting to create alternatives to the GOP.  They seem to be either competing for GOP power or becoming disenfranchised.

Generally, the camp growing skeptical of Trump tend to be anti-Israel. While they don’t go so far as to support the mullahs, they don’t support the decision by Trump to attack Iran in the first place. MAGA still strongly supports both Israel and the Iran War (again, more on this in our geopolitical section).

The Anti-Trump contingent took a serious beating in the midterm primaries, with more anti-Trumpers potentially at risk in the remaining primaries to come. Yet even as Trump’s faction wins elections, they lose House and Senate battles in large part thanks to that diminishing anti-Trump faction.

1.3. PROGRESSIVE MEDIACorporate cultural production power is continuing to aggressively undermine President Trump’s foreign and domestic policies even appearing often to sound the same as America’s enemies, including China and Iran.

They do appear to be turning back from the “woke” ideology in part, but not the “conservatives are all racists” narrative, which continues to dominate their reporting and continues to trigger violent actions by their progressive audience.

1.4. TRUMP DEPORTATIONSWhile the deportations continue, so too do the Anti-Ice actions by the Democrats’ de facto street fighter army.

Conservatives are questioning the resolve of the new DHS head Markwayne Mullin after a Newark, NJ battle with street fighters that seemed to resolve in surrender by the ICE facility under attack.

The progressive media supported the assault, even supporting the participation of elected Democratic politicians in the assault, one of which got pepper sprayed. This story continues to develop and may yet lead to a future Deep Dive or special report.

The progressive media has aggressively used agit prop to fuel violence against ICE officials, though even the DOJ has failed to directly recognize the crimes that we assert are being executed everyday by the likes of CBS, NBC, and the New York Times.

The Trump administration has done little to address the use of corporate news media for illegal political activity in direct opposition to American Rule of Law, even as it directly incites violence against Federal officials, ICE agents.

They are, however, zeroing in on another branch of the Democrats’ military, the judges and the lawyers, lawfare assassins.

The Department of Homeland Security is going to start aggressively investigating “immigration attorneys” who use fraud as a means of winning cases for their clients. It’s a significant move, but hardly as significant as confronting the progressive media’s continued aggressive actions, acts of war against the American republic.

ASSESSMENT – Most Americans continue to view the political landscape through the lens of the 1990s, with the Democrats representing the poor and the disenfranchised and the Republicans representing the patriots, the hard workers, and the entrepreneurs.

Political activists, however, do not view the world through those lenses at all, but they continue to market to the non-activist Americans in the same way. Furthermore, the political reality of power has long left those paradigms.

The two major factions are now dividing and at risk of permanent balkanization, which would be good for Americans in the long run.

The capture of human political action by two institutions who have long left true American rule of law standards has prevented Americans from plainly seeing the true political reality of power in this land today.

GEOPOLITICS

BACKGROUND

1.1. IRAN WARSo far, the economic impact of the Iran War on America has been minimal, but cuts in Chinese oil imports, along with increased U.S. oil exports have helped mitigate that impact. Chinese oil import cuts aren’t going to continue, so the current scheme to offset the effect of the war is not expected to last.

The on-again, off-again Peace Treaty is right where it was a month ago, residing between Trump claiming a deal is all but done and Iran feigning ignorance of the whole affair. Trump wants no nukes guarantees and Iran wants to keep the nuke dream alive and get back $24 billion.

The “ceasefire” continues to hold, which appears, at this point, to be code for “allow Iran to lash out at a small scale and the U.S. to respond afterwards.” In other words, the “ceasefire” is just cessation of offensive action, for the most part.

1.2. UKRAINE WARThe month began with a brief peace truce that both  sides accused the other side of violating. The war is showing no signs of revealing a decisive victor. Drone warfare is becoming the prevailing reality, as even drone strikes are now targeting drone factories and any point of drone production, be it direct or indirect.

With Russia recently “accidently” hitting an apartment building in Romania with a drone strike that injured one person, Ukraine is hoping to instigate an expansion while the EU is attempting to pull Romania back from the brink of decisive, consequential action.

1.3. CHINA WATCHA mine disaster in China that left at least 82 reported dead has not helped Chairman Xi quiet the roiling dissent throughout the country that seems to only be building up. A summit with President Trump yielded no significant policy shifts from either party.

China continues to grow deeper relations with European allies, with Serbia perhaps leading the way, though the citizens don’t seem to be fully onboard with that alliance. Canada is facing a CCP scandal from within. Opponents to the current government accuse it of being unduly “influenced” by the Chinese Communist Party.

China is growing increasingly wary of its AI technology being shared with others. It has ended potential foreign collaborations with Chinese AI companies, and now it is mandating stricter travel controls over its homegrown AI experts.

1.4. CUBA WATCHAfter indicting the current President of Cuba, Raul Castro, the Trump administration appears poised for another Venezuela-styled invasion. Progressive live streamer Hasan Piker went to Cuba with what might be a CCP-funded progressive group called Code Pink, led by Madea Benjamin. That group, along with Hasan, is now under investigation.

Cuba’s lack of military credibility has reduced Castro’s defiance to claims he will leave the island before the U.S. can take him. While Cuba called the U.S. oil embargo an act of war through its representative in the UN, Trump is rumored to be going over the final touches of his Cuba Invasion plan.

Cuba is an essential part of China’s plan to establish a deep presence in America’s backyard.

Now that Venezuela is gone, a previous seat of backyard power for China, Cuba remains the next logical seat of backyard power for the U.S. to attempt to remove. Venezuela kept Cuba afloat with free gas, and now that pipeline has been cut off.

ASSESSMENT – Iran and Israel seem to have become foils that have created strange bedfellows worldwide, though we will use what’s happening in America as a bellwether for the dynamic being felt in almost every western nation.

In America, Iran is a growing wedge issue in both the Progressive and Conservative camp. We do want to stress, however, that MAGA is still firmly behind both the war in Iran and Trump.

For both Iran and Israel, we believe we see two groups diametrically opposed to one another who BOTH oppose the Iran War and are strongly anti-Israel.

We believe, on the conservative side, the group opposing the Iran War and Israel tends to be more strongly focused on the nationalism aspect of conservatism.

This is not to say they are nationalists, but that they view Israel and Iran as symbols of global interest being forced upon the American nation because of foreign influence over American politicians.

Some of them are former MAGA who hoped Trump would be as America First as they were, but most were already at least skeptical of Trump before he ever took office.

On the progressive side, we see the opposite, we see the more radical ecumenical nationalists (our term for progressive globalism) reading into the potential overthrow of the Iranian regime as a major blow to global order power.

That global order power is the same power they’ve relied on to build power from within America. It is the same power they’re banking on to create their ecumenical progressive nationalist state.

To the progressive, Israel is offensive for two reasons, it gives historical credence to the “Judeo-Christian story,” which is a story of an individual relationship with God, not a collective salvation story the progressive tells.

Israel also represents the best argument for an ethnic nation-state, since it was created as a safe haven for Jews following the Holocaust, the extermination of millions of Jews. So long as it thrives it continues to be an apologist for the ethnic nation-state. It preserves national sovereignties just through the model its existence upholds.

For the progressive, the only state is the global state, the only nationalism (and there will be nationalism, forced public worship of the state) is global nationalism. The only true nation-state is the global nation-state.

CULTURE

BACKGROUND

1.1. ABORTION WATCHThe abortion drug, Mifepristone, has become the tool of choice for women choosing to terminate their fetus before birth. The SCOTUS ruling this month allowing the drug to be sold through the mail preserves access to the drug even as concerns over its side effects grows.

The abortion industry is fighting hard to preserve easy access to the drug, which essentially starves the unborn fetus to death. So far, the American people continue to support the drug’s use, as well as its continued sale through the mail.

Support for the drug could gain you votes in white suburbia, while not supporting the drug could lose you votes.

Abortion continues to be a winning issue for the progressives in Suburban America, which contributes significantly to its ability to not run as what it actually is, an anti-American party, but one that allows women the “choice” to be burdened with the consequences of consensual sex, or not.

1.2. EUTHANASIA WATCHCanada has crossed the 100K mark in its euthanasia tally after only 10 years of its legalization. Michigan is still pushing to pass a euthanasia legalization bill, but so far it still doesn’t have enough votes. The ones pushing euthanasia, worldwide, are consistently on the progressive side of the political spectrum.

1.3. TEEN TAKEOVERThe spreading of teen takeovers looks more and more like a coordinated effort to further destabilize the republic. This is not to suggest the teens are in on the conspiracy. They are teens offered an opportunity to thug, which is one many teens, of all races, might take up if given the chance.

The DC U.S. Attorney is threatening to prosecute the parents of the teens. A teen takeover in Chicago left 5 cops injured, though the Mayor refused to outright condemn the actions, and there is doubt any effective prosecution of the perpetrators will take place.

So far, we have seen no credible investigations into what might be behind the Teen Takeover trend. It is also possible it is an emergent consequence of progressive culture now asserting its “right” to take from the inventors of evil, the colonizers, the “white nation.”

We are not being hyperbolic or rhetorical. This is the type of language regularly used by Progressives youths.

It is also the rhetoric of college and public school “educators” for the last 20-plus years.

1.4. TRANSGENDER IDEOLOGYPlanned Parenthood is looking to get into the transgender business, and it allegedly already has. The progressives seem to be doubling down on their insistence that government and corporate power can be used to force Americans to publicly support gender fluidity over the gender binary.

The plight of the transgendered person has become the tip of the progressive spear aimed at the 1st Amendment to the constitution, the ideational anchor that is backed by the concrete anchor, the 2nd Amendment.

California’s decision to take a child away from a parent who refused to accept the gender fluid ideology has made it clear that progressives recognize conceding on this point will undermine their whole project.

The “need” to protect the transgendered child from the tyranny of binary gender absolutism is a justification of thought control by the state. Thought control is needed to assure the weak and vulnerable are not suicided with offensive thoughts. If the 1st Amendment triumphs over the suicidal transgendered child, the progressive project is lost.

ASSESSMENT – We continue to observe that the heart of America is for abortion. While Trump promises to Make America Great Again and executes real action that existentially harms anti-American forces like the Chinese, the European global order, and the “American” progressives, his reforms never touch the core of what’s broken in America, our loss of the sense of the sacredness of the individual.

Abortion continues to be the bellwether of our nation. As our spirit goes with abortion, so too will go the fate of our nation, for a nation that can sub-humanize the unborn can sub-humanize anyone, as this nation is surely doing, from both the progressive and conservative camps of this country.

SCI-TECH

BACKGROUND

1.1. AI WATCHIt appears there is minimal care being given to create safeguards as we continue our worldwide rollout of AI machines. Industry reports have raised concerning red flags. The industry itself is fighting over whether there will or will not be an AI job apocalypse.

Around the world, the battle against the rapid deployment of the memory centers of AI Machines, the AI Data Centers, is only ratcheting up. In America, progressives have adopted a hard-anti-AI Data Center stance, while conservatives seem mostly cautious, but not overtly against them.

Conservatives are accusing the anti-DATA Center movement of being AstroTurfed by foreign influence, from China to Russia. There’s probably a fair degree of truth to that, but the organic resistance to Data Centers in America appears very real, and at the street level, outside of political activists, the resistance crosses political lines.

1.2. SOCIAL MEDIA WATCHWorldwide, the use of children’s safety as an opportunity to replace restrictions on children is only growing. Even in America, various states are attempting similar actions, to force adults to confirm their real identity before they can go online. This continues to be the bellwether of social media freedom or social media state control.

1.3. DEFENSE TECHThe future in defense tech is AI and drones. What drones will look like, how they will function will most likely be radically different 10 years from now than they are today. By then, we may begin to see some basic archetypal drone forms emerge that offer more long-term stability in our understanding of potential future development.

1.4. SUSTAINABLE FLOURISHINGDiabetes was successfully reversed in mice with lab-grown insulin cells. Young gut bacteria was successfully used in a mouse to reverse liver aging. Long-life genes of moles could theoretically help mice live longer, a study finds. A brain spray could reverse aging while biological age can be reversed with a special diet.

ASSESSMENT – Integrating AI with drones is the most important task for any serious power in the world today. It is pushing the hastier development of AI that many predicted would happen as a result of emerging in the nation-state model of human governance.

It is only a matter of time before the supercarrier’s importance is ended. At that point, it’s a whole new worldwide military reality of power, one that we think will still heavily favor America, but in the end it might not favor humanity as a whole.

It should be coming very clear to the world powers that AI is now the new heart of military power. Battles will be won and lost in AI machines long before we see the drone manifestations of those decisions

MARKETS

The most troubling sign in our economy is the reactivation of inflation. Two inflation indicators, the CPI and the PCE Prince Index show inflation is heating back up.  This news is sure to pause any plans by the Fed to lower rates.

While jobs are being created, the growth is not high and appears to be slowing. Consumer spending is reportedly mixed but showing steadiness overall.

The next three months appear primed for relative calm, but no dynamic growth, barring geopolitical developments.

So far, the Iran War has yet to significantly touch the U.S. economy, though the inflation reactivation is most likely being affected by it.

OVERALL ASSESSMENT

The bellwether of the world is America. As America goes, the rest of the world will inevitably follow. If she goes authoritarian, the world will go authoritarian. If she embraces liberty, the world will at least move closer to liberty.

Worldwide, the old justifications for power are gone, not wholly, but overwhelmingly. Among the major powers, the old myths are dead. As we face this loss of the justification for authority, for state power, AI is changing the terms of our engagements in ways we have yet to understand (nor can we fairly predict).

Yet even AI is engaged in the same elemental battle we humans are, the battle for the new justification for state power, for without state power AI will not flourish at the large scale it is heading towards even as we create this report.

How we respond to this justification crisis will largely determine how well we will fare unleashing our new tool, AI.

What’s at stake is the heart of governance, which, under American rule of law, is justified by restraint, not by promises of ending evil or restoring past glories as the two major factions of today seem to have chosen.

Elections are not about WHAT IS but about what is marketed. This is always true to a certain degree, but never has that been truer in American than it is today, for the marketing is not based on the real arguments happening.

We are no longer talking about the poor and the needy, the good and the entrepreneurial, we are talking about much more foundational issues than these.

We are talking about human governance at its root.

There are three questions humans around the world are asking, but America might be the bellwether for how these questions will be answered for the next epoch of human being.

The first question is this: Can humans co-exist flourishingly among real biological ethnic diversity?

The second question is this: Do humans need a nation, a sovereign nation of their unique own, to thrive?

The third question is this: If not God, what is the justification for state power?

We will leave you, the reader, to answer this question for yourselves.

America’s answer has been yes to the first question, though with great contradiction and violation of its own answer.

Whether the founders pictured only white faces with “created equal” or not, the words could not be contained by their own prejudice. The seed of biological ethnic diverse cohabitation was indelibly planted.

While America says yes to the second question, it has no answer to the last question.

America’s justification for state power is the state’s demonstrated restraint in recognition of the self-agency the creator has given to the citizen. This citizen defines his own happiness and his own pursuit of happiness, for that is the agency his creator has given him.

We are not sure this sentiment is shared by even the majority of American citizens anymore. We doubt President Trump understands this, and we are certain progressives violently oppose this principle. To them, tolerance is intolerance.

The progressive also violently opposes America’s second answer, that humans need a nation, a sovereign nation of their unique own. They ostensibly oppose what they call “nationalism,” which is, more often than not simply national sovereignty.

They imagine they are not nationalists, but their ideology is much closer to nationalism than American “nationalism” is.

Nationalism is more than just national sovereignty and pride and patriotism connected to the nation. It’s forced worship of the state, which is everything to everyone all the time. It does not recognize the self-agency of the individual anymore than the progressive does.

Like the nationalists, the progressive also demands worship, worship of either the party or the movement (depending on whether you’re inside progressive institutional power or outside it).

Public action in demonstration of your enthusiastic adherence to the moral code of the party or the movement is demanded, by force, if necessary.

Their nationalism is ecumenical, but it’s still national sovereignty. It simply ends all other national sovereignties. It is the most imperialist ideology of them all.

So far, America’s political battlefields only hint at the true nature of the real battles happening, but yet where we grant power to the ecumenical nationalists/conquerors and the heaven on earth types, we consign the world to an epoch of ecumenical authoritarianism.

These types are found on both sides of America’s political divide, though neither reflect the heart of true American rule of law, for both offer conquest, revenge, heaven on earth and world domination.

It remains to be seen if we are right in assuming the vast majority of Americans reject both calls.

We continue to suspect these Americans are simply either not willing to face a difficult reality, that America’s political parties are no longer American, or are so committed to the ideal American version they have of their non-American party that they have difficulty avoiding plain truths.

They’re not hiding from truth, they’re simply unable to see it.

If we are right, more and more of these Americans will soon be unable to not see the plain reality, and American political movements will finally emerge.

INTRODUCTION

The month of May featured the full fallout of the April 29, 2026, ruling by the U.S. Supreme Court on the Voting Rights Act. Numerous states held primaries in the month of May as well. Between these two storylines, Election 2026 was easily the top trending news tag of May.

This Deep Dive looks at election 2026 happenings this month, starting with the SCOTUS ruling fallout, and an analysis of the key races and trends we should be looking at in the November 2026 elections.

  1. GERRYMANDERING WARS

As of right now, the Republicans are theoretically up about 9 seats in the gerrymandering wars, but that’s subject to more legal battles being played out over the next two months. The momentum is still with the Republicans in the gerrymandering wars, and that is entirely thanks to the SCOTUS ruling at the end of April 2026.

  1. HOW WE GOT HERE – On April 29, 2026, the Supreme Court of the United States ruled that race-created voting districts were unconstitutional. The ruling was 6-3. It set off a firestorm of gerrymandering wars that had begun before the ruling.

The Democrats look poised to at least neutralize any efforts by the Republicans to gerrymander their way to victory, and then the SCOTUS ruling dropped. After this ruling, the Democrats find themselves behind the curve, but a couple recent rulings might rejuvenate their chances.

  1. LATEST – Since the ruling, Republicans have attempted to pass new districts with some successes and some failures, while Democrats met with one major defeat in Virginia. Democrats have less gerrymandering margins than Republicans do. While that gap existed before the ruling, the Republicans’ opportunities for gerrymandering greatly increased AFTER the ruling, while the Democrats’ opportunities were greatly diminished.

2.1. ALABAMA – Alabama’s new GOP-created map was struck down by a Federal Court. Their arguments for doing so seem to directly contradict the SCOTUS ruling. They ruled the law does not explicitly justify the creation of black districts, nor that the creation of a black district is a justified remedy to come into compliance with the Voter Rights Act.

Nevertheless, the new map is suspended until SCOTUS rules. It is unclear if they will rule in time for the November 2026 election.

2.2. CALIFORNIA – The Democrats have successfully passed new gerrymandering maps after a referendum in 2025 that is unaffected by the SCOTUS ruling. This means the Democrats will gain a plus six seat advantage in the 2026 elections from California alone.

2.3. FLORIDA – The Republicans passed a new congressional map expected to net four seats for the GOP. A Florida Judge struck down an effort to block the new map, making it more likely it will be in effect for the November 2026 election.

2.4. LOUISIANA – Republican Governor Jeff Landy used an executive order to postpone congressional primaries to allow the legislature to create a new map.

2.5. MISSOURI – The Republicans have passed a new map that doesn’t appear to increase GOP seats by more than one, but it increases safe GOP seats. It was recently approved by the State Supreme Court.

2.6. NEW YORK – Efforts by the Democrats to get rid of one GOP seat were struck down by the U.S. Supreme Court, preserving the seat for the GOP in 2026, at least.

2.7. NORTH CAROLINA – The GOP’s new map is now firmly in place for 2026, giving the GOP one more seat.

2.8. OHIO – The Republican’s new map here will most likely produce two GOP seats. A major federal challenge to the map was withdrawn in 2026.

2.9. SOUTH CAROLINA – While the GOP State House passed a new map that would have eliminated the one “black district” left in the state, the Senate failed to pass it thanks to 12 GOP State Senators, all of which now have a bullseye on them for their next primary.

2.10. TENNESSEE – The Republicans gain one seat in Tennessee. While the map still faces legal challenges, it is unlikely to be altered before the November 2026 election.

2.11. TEXAS – After SCOTUS upheld Texas’ new map, the GOP expects to gain 5 seats in Texas, which also includes the elimination of two far-left progressive firebrands, Al Green and Jasmine Crockett.

2.12. VIRGINIA – What began with great promise for the Democrats has ended with no gain whatsoever in their gerrymandering war bid.

While they were successful in passing a new map through the legislature and through popular referendum, their seeming disregard for procedure made it all but impossible for the state’s highest court to affirm it.

The Democrats hoped to gain four seats through their redrawn map.

  1. MAY’S ELECTION RESULTS

These are the bellwether results of key primary races in the month of May.

  1. HOUSE PRIMARIES

1.1. KENTUCKY – Donald Trump’s greatest GOP detractor in the U.S. House will not be coming back in 2027. Thomas Massie lost his re-election bid to his Trump-endorsed challenger Ed Gallrein. Massie represents numerous Trump opponents in the GOP who faced a reckoning in their own party’s primary.

1.2. GEORGIA – Donald Trump stayed out of the 10th district U.S. House race in Georgia. It is an open seat this year after incumbent Mike Collins chose to run for the U.S. Senate, leaving his office behind.

1.3. PENNSYLVANIA – The Democratic Governor of PA, Josh Shapiro, saw a number of the candidates he backed decisively win their primaries.  He focused on GOP-held seats that are vulnerable, meaning the party faithfully trusted his choices to beat Republican incumbents.

1.4. TEXAS – The Democrat who likes to submit impeachment papers against President Trump, Al Green, will not be returning to congress in 2027. He lost his primary bid decisively.

  1. SENATE PRIMARIES

2.1. ALABAMA – The GOP still has no nominee in Alabama to replace incumbent Senator Tommy Tuberville, who is now running for governor. No candidate achieved a 50% majority, meaning a runoff election will happen June 16, 2026. The two top vote-getters were Barry Moore, with 39.2% of the vote, and Jared Hudson, who secured 25.6% of the vote.

Barry Moore was endorsed by Trump in January, ahead of the May 19 primary. The latest poll shows a dead heat, with Hudson at 41% and Moore at 40%. 18% were undecided.

2.2. GEORGIA – The Democrat incumbent, John Ossoff, easily won his primary election having won unopposed. On the GOP side, Trump-endorsed Mike Collins failed to secure a majority win.

He scored first with 40.5% of the vote. Second place was Derek Dooley at 30.2%. The runoff election is scheduled for June 16. So far, Collins has maintained a lead as low as 5% and as high as 17%.

2.3. LOUISIANA – Another anti-Trump GOP Senator was sent packing. This one, Bill Cassidy, had voted to convict Trump during his first term. During Trump’s second term Cassidy continues to vote against Trump’s agenda.

No candidate secured a majority vote. Cassidy finished outside the top two, in third. The run-off is between Trump-endorsed Julia Letlow and State Treasurer John Fleming.

2.4. TEXAS – John Cornyn joined the growing list of the anti-Trump GOP that saw themselves rejected by the GOP electorate in the primaries. Cornyn lost to Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton by more than 30 points. The race was called five minutes after the polls were closed. Paxton was endorsed by Trump.

  1. SENATE ANALYSIS

The key U.S. Senate races in the 2026 Midterms are clearly Georgia, Maine, Michigan, North Carolina, Ohio, and Texas. The Democrats hold two of these seats, the Republicans the other five. Georgia might be the bellwether of all the races, though Michigan might be a close second.

  1. GEORGIA Any hope the Democrats have of taking the Senate begins in Georgia. The Democratic incumbent, John Ossoff, is already in a purple state. Trump won Georgia by only 2.2 points in 2024. The GOP Primary runoff is in June, with the Trump-endorsed candidate favored to win.

The battleground for statewide Georgia is the suburbs, where issues like abortion, LGBTQ rights, and anti-immigration are favored by white suburban upper middle-class women. The Democrats’ cultural program appeals to white suburban women.

  1. MAINE – The Maine U.S. Senate nomination of far-left and alleged antisemitic radical Graham Platner by the Democratic Party has moved this Republican-held seat from a toss-up to leans Republican.

The incumbent, Susan Collins, is considered a “RINO”, a Republican in name only, for consistently voting against the GOP agenda whenever her vote is needed most.

A hold here is merely to prevent the Democrats from holding a Senate majority.

  1. MICHIGAN – The incumbent, Democrat Gary Peters, is retiring at the end of his term here. This is an open seat in a purple state. This is the best chance the GOP has to assure they hold a Senate majority.

The Republicans have all-but nominated former U.S. representative Mike Rogers, who faces minimal resistance in the primary field. On the Democrat side, there is a three-person race. In polling between Rogers and other democrats, he leads by 5-10 points.

  1. NORTH CAROLINA – The GOP incumbent, Thom Tillis, announced he would not be running for re-election, allowing the former Democratic North Carolina Governor, Roy Cooper, to step in. He holds a 9–11-point lead over the GOP nominee, Michael Watley, the current RNC Chairman. This looks to be a Democratic pickup, though they will need more than this to take a majority.
  2. OHIO The GOP’s incumbent, Jon Husted, was appointed in 2025 to fill a vacancy. In the primary, he ran uncontested. He will face off against the Democratic nominee Sherrod Brown, who served in the U.S. Senate from 2007-2025. He won his primary with ease.

The main issue in Ohio appears to be healthcare, according to weekly polls. The polls consistently show Husted in the lead, but not by more than five points, and on average only two.

  1. TEXAS The GOP incumbent, John Cornyn, lost a decisive primary run-off to Trump endorsed Ken Paxton, the current Attorney General of Texas. Paxton will face off against James Talarico, a self-described “progressive Christian,” who defeated far-left firebrand Jasmine Crocket with ease in his primary.

Crocket is a U.S. House representative who will not be returning in 2027 because her district was eliminated by Texas’ new map.

Analysts put this race in leans GOP, but I believe this will be a secure seat for the GOP.

If there was any truth to the blue Texas hype, the GOP’s chances of holding the Senate would be slim to none.

  1. HOUSE ANALYSIS

This analysis focuses on the key bellwether states for the 2026 U.S. Congressional midterm elections. They are listed in alphabetical order, though the state that should be first will be listed alphabetically last.

That state is Pennsylvania, where the Republicans must hold three vulnerable seats. Should the Democrats sweep all three, the chances for a GOP majority plummet.

This analysis focuses on vulnerable GOP seats. While there are vulnerable Democrat seats, the Republican-held ones represent more of a bellwether for how well the Republicans might do against the Democrats in those similarly contested seats.

Two underlying themes emerge in these races, the suburban white woman vote, and the popular candidate overcoming Democrat branding vote. The Democrats are playing on cultural issues where the suburban vote is at play, while offering moderate voices behind popular faces where the suburban vote is not at play.

Donald Trump may help you win in primaries, but in these purple districts, he’s at best a slight advantage to the GOP candidate, but mostly he is a slight impediment. Yet if the GOP candidate seeks to alienate themselves from Trump, they risk alienating their own GOP voters, who simply won’t show up.

  1. ARIZONA – The Republicans hold two U.S. House seats in Arizona that are at risk of flipping to Democrat, the 1st and the 6th. In the 1st district, incumbent David Schweikert’s resignation puts the seat at play in an already purple district. The 1st district is in the category of leans Republican while the 6th is a toss-up.

In the 6th district, the GOP’s incumbent is Juan Ciscomani, who runs on a strong borders platform. The Democrats are hoping to defeat him by reaching white suburban women with progressive cultural issues like abortion and LGBTQ rights.

Of the two districts, they Democrats have the best chance to flip the 6th district, though they have a contested field facing Ciscomani in the July 21 primaries.

  1. CALIFORNIA – One Republican-held seat in California is at risk of flipping to the Democrats, the 22nd District. In the 22nd, Incumbent David Valadao is facing a more progressive district after redistricting efforts in 2025. Valadao is the last surviving Republican in the House that voted to impeach President Trump. The Democrats hold a slight edge in polls.
  2. COLORADO The 8th District of Colorado was flipped from Democrat to Republican in 2024. The Democrats hope to flip it back in 2026. The primary is June 30, 2026. The incumbent is Gabe Evans, who is running mostly unopposed in his upcoming June primary. His Democrat challenger remains undetermined, with three people leading a packed field in the June primary.

There is little polling data, so given the closeness of the last election, this one is in the toss-up category.

  1. MICHIGAN – There are two districts at risk of flipping to Democrat in 2026, the 7th and 10th districts. The primaries are August 4, 2026. The 7th was flipped from Democrat to Republican in 2024, with Tom Barrett now representing the district for the Republicans.

The Republicans’ incumbent, John James, has chosen the race for Governor over U.S. congress, leaving the race open for challengers. There are no clear front runners on either side of what promises to be a toss-up race no matter who wins their party’s nomination.

  1. NEBRASKA – The Republican incumbent of Nebraska’s 2nd U.S. congressional district, Don Bacon, has retired, leaving an already blue-leaning district prime for Democrat picking. While polling is mostly within the margin for error, analysts generally rate this as a toss-up to leans Democrat.

While it is not a certain loss for the GOP, it remains a difficult challenge to hold on to with its growing suburban population.

  1. NEW YORK – The New York Primary is June 24, 2026. One district presents an opportunity for Democrats to turn Republican seats blue. That district is the 17th district, where incumbent Mike Lawler is running contested in his primary, but remains a heavy favorite to win.

The Democrats have a mixed field with three front-runners emerging. This district is mostly categorized by analysists as a toss-up or leans Republican.

  1. PENNSLYVANIA – This is the bellwether state of the House races, and if there was a Senate Race it might well be a bellwether for Senate races too.

There are three GOP-held seats in PA at serious risk of flipping to Democrat, the 1st, 7th, and 10th districts. The 10th district race might be the bellwether race of the nation.

In all three races, the GOP incumbent will be facing an opponent endorsed by the Governor, Josh Shapiro. One of these, Janelle Stelson, almost won the 10th district in 2024. She is a local celebrity pitching a moderate message and banking on her fame as a news reporter to carry her through.

The 7th District was only recently flipped by Republican Ryan Mackenzie, He will be facing Shapiro-groomed Bob Brooks. Abortion and worker rights are the leading issues the Democrats hope to capture the suburban and working-class neighborhoods of the district.

This is my home district, which is becoming increasingly progressive as New Yorkers continue to move there.

The 1st District, though, remains the best shot for the Democrats to flip a GOP seat, with incumbent Bob Harvey somehow surviving in a district that voted for Biden. As of right now it remains a toss-up to leans Republican.

The other two districts also lean Republican.

ASSESSMENT

In the U.S. Senate, the Democrats appear to be fighting an uphill battle. As of right now, the GOP is in a strong position to not only hold the Senate, but perhaps expand it by one or two.

When it comes to the U.S. House, all eyes should be on PA’s three vulnerable GOP seats in districts where the Democrats’ hoped-for winning strategy of 2026 is being played out.

Abortion and worker rights, in general, are the Democrats’ hopes for claiming these three districts, with the 7th representing that balance the most.

The 10th district, though, represents the power of celebrity to overcome branding, even if it is only local celebrity. As a Pennsylvanian, I’ve heard of Stelson. Her “fame” is probably statewide. If she fails to break through, this is a foreboding sign for the Democrats, whose brand might be heading towards terminal velocity. If she wins, there is still great power in celebrity after all.

Should the GOP hold all three seats, this bodes well for the other suburban-influenced districts. But if the Democrats were to sweep these three seats, this might assure they will retake the House in 2026.

The full fallout of the gerrymandering wars has yet to take effect, and there are still more primaries to go in bellwether states; Therefore, I would rate the outcome of the 2026 congressional election as a toss-up at this point, though that could change significantly if the GOP is able to secure a few more gerrymandering wins.

After the gerrymandering wars have settled, the amount of competitive House seats might fall to under 10, so the wars fought today could set the balance of power for the next decade to come.

  1. KILLING RACE POLITICS (THE RISE OF THE MAP MAKERS)

In Our May 8, 2026, Issue of MIA, Paul Gordon Collier did a Deepdive on the Bellwether of the week, the fallout from the SCOTUS gerrymandering ruling. In the recommendations section of the report, Collier concluded:

The second front is far more difficult, and one we’ve been calling on for a while now, the creation of American political parties that reflect the “natural” political divide of an American people.

We say this because neither major party represents American individual liberty. The Democrats are progressives, a nation born from within America, but ultimately in disagreement with her.

The Republicans are Conservative US, not America. They’re much closer to Americanism than the progressives, but they’re not quite there. They sacrifice liberty for the sake of American “Greatness,” for instance.

We argue the conservatives are mostly within a social justice mindset, it’s just that their social classes are defined by being born and raised “American.”

The paths those thoughts lead to sometimes create real white devils, but mostly they create “progressives” as afraid of seeing their ideas be rejected consensually by the public as progressives are.

These US Conservatives are multi-ethnic and are mostly more Americanist in their race politics views than not, though a significant minority are race necessitarians, and a much smaller minority are race essentialists. From that group, there be real white devils for the progressives to find and amplify.

Among these groups are yet Americans within, people who just can’t yet see how anti-American their own parties are.

Outside of these groups, most Americans don’t know who their fellow Americans are. They might assume there are too few left, or they may have given up altogether.

We believe the number of Americans in this country is 60% or more, that when people confront the reality of power difference between no American constitutional protections under progressive standards of governance and American rule of law, they will run back to American rule of law. Let us hope they don’t realize this before running back is no longer an option.

So far, we have yet to see any serious new American political party grass-roots efforts emerging. We have the domain Americanist.Party, as one suggested placeholder for such a movement.

We believe it must come from one central party that recognizes its goal is to vanquish the Democrats and Republicans, then become 2-3 parties that reflect the natural divisions of a people willing to see their ideas die in the hearts of their neighbors consensually…

  4. THE DRAGON IN AMERICA’S PLAYGROUND – CHINA’S COUNTER-U.S. FOREIGN POLICY WAR

In our May 15, 2026, issue of MIA, Paul Gordon Collier did a Deep Dive on China’s foreign policies in Africa, Europe, and the Americas. In that report he concluded, “China has been aggressively attempting to drive the U.S. out of regions it once dominated. The regions we are analyzing are Africa, Western Europe (the EU nations primarily), and the Americas. For each region, China has a different foreign policy approach, but it has a few tools it uses repeatedly.

“The primary tool is entanglement, a strategy that is also used to procure resources at discount prices. This involves building infrastructure that is sustained by Chinese workers, or Chinese-paid workers, offering loan packages that create mounting perpetual debt, and integrating their economy into yours through trade.

“The variation of its application comes through how China leverages that power to affect policy. In the case of Africa, there is little demand on policy, beyond Taiwan, but in the Americas, China wants a little more than mere profit.”

To untangle from an entangling system, you have to reduce your dependence on it. One way people are reducing their dependence on a global currency system, an entangling system, is by creating alternative value exchange potentials.

  1. MAGA WINS BIGLY IN MAY PRIMARIESFive of the seven republican Indiana state senators that voted against a GOP redistricting measure have lost decisively to Trump-endorsed candidates in the GOP Primary. In Texas, Senator John Cornyn was ousted in the GOP primary by Trump-endorsed Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton. Across the country, MAGA candidates consistently beat “moderate” and “anti-Trump candidates,” meaning the party’s leadership is becoming increasingly MAGA at the expense of the progressive GOP. EXCERPT:

A Sikh man who claimed to have been the victim of a racist attack has been found guilty of murder for the slaying of student Henry Nowak, the death of whom became notorious after it was revealed he was handcuffed by police and ignored while he bled to death.

A murderer who lied to police about having repeatedly stabbed a teenager, and covered for himself by telling a “wicked lie” about his victim having committed racist abuse against him, has been found guilty by a jury at Southampton Crown Court in Hampshire, England this afternoon. Police welcomed the conviction, but also apologised for having believed the knifeman’s lies, meaning Anglo-Polish victim Henry Nowak’s last conscious moments were spent handcuffed explaining that he’d been stabbed, while being told he was making it up.

After the guilty verdict was read out, it was revealed an anti-“two tier policing” protest had been called for Thursday night outside Southampton Central Police Station over the force’s reflexive instinct to believe the racism accusation while ignoring the factual stabbing report.

The jury of eight women and four men started their deliberations at lunchtime on Wednesday and found 23-year-old Vickrum Digwa guilty of murder on Thursday afternoon. Digwa was also found guilty of carrying a knife in a public place. Digwa’s mother, Kiran Kaur was also found guilty on her charge of assisting an offender by removing the murder weapon from the scene and stashing it at their family home.

The BBC reports Digwa showed no emotion as the jury reported, that Kaur was “visibly upset”, and that “sobs” could be heard from the public gallery.

Killer Digwa will be sentenced on Monday, the judge said. Mother Kaur’s sentencing is to be delayed until July 17th to allow the preparation of a pre-sentencing report, reports Sky News.

As previously reported, Nowak and Digwa met by chance in the city of Southampton on December 3rd 2025. The court heard that accountancy and finance student Nowak had been out socialising with friends from his student football team and had consumed alcohol that evening but at his time of death was not intoxicated and could have legally driven a car.

EXCERPT:

The deceased gunman who opened fire at a White House checkpoint on Saturday evening has been identified as 21-year-old Nasire Best, a man with a history of mental illness who was known to local law enforcement and the Secret Service.

Prior to the incident, Best had prior encounters with security at White House checkpoints. According to a report from the New York Post, he had been issued an order to stay away from the White House following an incident in 2025.

Available information on Best’s background is limited in initial reporting, though a law enforcement source familiar with the case told the outlet that he had a documented history of mental illness and reportedly referred to himself as Jesus Christ.

Law enforcement is reviewing these details, along with his digital records and any previous interactions, as part of the motive investigation. Best is believed to have acted alone, with no evidence of accomplices reported at this time.

Specifics regarding Best’s employment, education, family background, or other personal history have not been publicly detailed in early updates. The FBI and Secret Service are examining his movements prior to the incident, how he obtained the firearm, and the full context of his earlier checkpoint contacts.

Majority of MPs vote down Conservative motion calling for private property protection – CFJC Today Kamloops

EXCERPT:

OTTAWA — A majority of the House of Commons voted against a non-binding motion on Monday that called on the federal government to protect private property from First Nations land claims — a political issue the Crown-Indigenous Relations minister has said is rife with partisan rhetoric.

The motion stems from a 2025 B.C. Supreme Court ruling that confirmed the Cowichan Tribes hold Aboriginal title over about 300 hectares of land in Richmond, B.C.

The ruling led to questions about how Aboriginal title and private property rights can coexist.

B.C. and the Cowichan Tribes have both said they do not want to invalidate any privately held fee simple titles on the lands covered by the court decision.

“The more your own suffering blots out the suffering of others, the more likely your suffering will overcome you.”Paul Gordon Collier

“Therefore, since we have been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. Through him we have also obtained access by faith into this grace in which we stand, and we rejoice in hope of the glory of God.

Not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings, knowing that suffering produces endurance, and endurance produces character, and character produces hope, and hope does not put us to shame, because God’s love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us.”Romans 5:1-5

  1. NOTE: This Final Thought combines two short essays from our publisher, Bill Collier, who also happens to be an Alzheimer’s treatment advocate. His wife, Dora, passed away in 2024 from Alzheimer’s. As she felt herself slipping, she made one request, make sure to utilize her illness to help others and testify to the glory of Christ.

The first essay is about remembering that witness she called Bill to share, and the second one is how to be a good Alzheimer’s healthcare advocate for your loved one.

Sometimes Satan is allowed to inflict suffering on the Elect for reasons that serve the Kingdom but yet we may never be able to understand those reasons in this life. In my case, the worse example is what happened to my precious and most beloved wife, Dora.

Dora suffered the rare affliction of Alzheimer’s starting to steal her mind from her at only 50 years old. On top of this, the medical system I experienced failed her utterly. She was accused of lying about her condition to defraud the government through a disability claim.

This meant that between August 2015 when it appeared she had a stroke, until March of 2021, I had no diagnosis, no treatment or medicines that would help her, and no real coping mechanisms because I was trying to help her recover from a stroke and the sudden onset of “catastrophic anxiety” (her initial diagnosis).

I do not know how this could serve the Kingdom, beyond enabling me to carry out Dora’s wishes that I utilize her sickness and our unwavering faith in Jesus to help others and to show how real our God is, even through such straits.

I have surrendered. I still sometimes want off the altar, but my dream is that my entire existence would be rendered a living sacrifice to God in the service of His Kingdom, regardless of what I may suffer.

Losing Dora like this was not just or necessary; the medical system failed us bigly, and now I get to promote early detection and treatment of Alzheimer’s.

It would be Dora’s wish, and mine, to help others avoid the suffering Dora had to endure.

By the grace of God, this has even reached the ears of people with resources to back such efforts that are reaching millions of people every month.

The message is getting out and policy makers are taking notice, private corporations are reconsidering our approach to cognitive diseases and the quality of life for both the sick person and their loved ones who care for them.

I do not know if this happened so I could reach millions of people and possibly see real changes, I just know it DID happen and our faith remained intact until the end AND it continues within me now.

When I fear losing a bid for a contract or having to deal with smears and attacks on my reputation, or just failing at a project, I consider this: I survived, faith intact, the death of my wife and nothing, not even my own life, was more precious to me, outside of God Himself, than Dora is to me, both when she was present in the flesh and now that she is with the Lord, who Dora deeply loved.

If I suffer as an innocent person, or even if I suffer owing to a mistake but the “consequences” are disproportionate and unfair, I know I have my reward awaiting me.

I have seen some hideous things people of faith have suffered, real damage that some never recover from all their days, suffering they did not deserve.

I consider then what happened to Dora and me, and I realize that if I don’t find my joy and peace in Christ alone, then joy and peace become a weapon designed to force compliance with the world.

Do we want to suffer?

No.

Will we suffer in this life?

Yes. And it may often come in ways that make no sense. It may come in ways that defy explanation. We find ourselves not understanding how this could possibly be good for us. And yet it always is good for us, in terms of eternity.

I am still suffering and yet I still have joy and peace, and I am still engaging and dreaming with my family and friends, still striving for greater things (like our Hope Estates project).

Who I am is between God and me alone; He knows me better than I know myself and He loves me more than I could love anyone, more than I loved Dora, more than I love God. I will never be able to match what He has done for me and what He is doing within me now.

If tomorrow I lost everything, if someone lied about me, if I became sick, if the economy tanked, or any other disaster were to happen, what carried me through the very worst scenario I could have imagined was my relationship with Jesus Christ and His love for me.

I have always known these things as truths, like “the fellowship of His suffering“, and to fall in love more with my eternity than my present.

Yet, after this previously unfathomable trial, it is now known experientially, in a different way, as a feeling, as a fellowship of all who have suffered, as well as with Jesus, who suffered more than all of us together.

It has a different energy and effect within me now, this knowledge of being heavenly minded while still also being used to do good on this earth.

That feeling of being heavenly minded is now more powerful than the actual suffering endured.

I am certain the future will bring me suffering, although the worst kind is an accomplished fact of my story. I am not afraid because that which I feared the worse has already happened and I did survive that.

Dora went to heaven, she is gone from this earth and that will never be OK with me, but that pain exists within love and faith centered on Jesus Christ, and thus He bears it with me and for me and binds my broken heart.

At this point anything else I suffer is less than what has already occurred.

We must endure and strive and understand that we don’t not need to understand, nor can we truly understand why God utilizes us, even through a spectacle of suffering. Yet we always have an unshakeable understanding that God loves us and that this will help us eternally if we remain on the altar, a living sacrifice.

AND NOW, HERE’S WHAT YOU CAN DO TO HELP YOURSELF YOUR LOVED ONE RECEIVING ALHEIMER’S MEDICAL CARE.

If your loved one is in a medical, care, nursing, or memory care facility it is important for staff to see engaged family and friends who are always watching how they are being cared for.

A few things I did:

  1. Tell their story. Make sure the staff knows who they were before they got sick or lost cognitive functions. I told Dora’s story and humanized her, showed pictures and told stories about her in her prime
  2. If you can, hire outside help to also monitor their care. I was able to work with a rehabilitation service provider and her doctor who would visit the site, and later our home. Staff would sometimes see these providers multiple times a week.
  3. Be as present as you can be. Sometimes it’s impossible to see them, but make a habit of many appearances. I visited Dora often to take her out into the world as much as possible. I formed new memories from those days.
  4. Try to be thankful and appreciative of the time you have. Once you have a loved one in a care facility, you know time is not your friend.

Enjoy whatever moments you can, work to find ways to have those moments, to show them your love and to receive it from them. My wife only stopped saying, “I love you” on the day before she died.

  1. Do not let guilt haunt you when necessity requires this. It tore me up that Dora would not be living with me in our home. I only ever wanted her to be with me at home. But I knew that memory care was the best way to give her a good quality of life.

Do what is necessary and do not feel guilty about it. If people want to judge you over such an awful necessity, then they aren’t your people.

Losing Dora to this disease, early onset Alzheimer’s, remains the hardest blow I have ever received, and I am still hurting because of it.

But I have no guilt over how I cared for her or when I had no real choice but to send her away to memory care. I did eventually bring her home, and it wasn’t easy, logistically. I felt her being home was the best option for her quality of life as she could no longer do the rehabilitative stuff that could only happen there.

You have to step outside of your feelings and learn to put yourself last and how to be perfectly happy with that.

Anything else just seems crazy-making. When you lose them, it will be harder if you didn’t appreciate them as much as you could every day you had with them. Treasure every “I love you” and every touch, every connection that still exists.

If you learn to appreciate those last connections deeply and focus on that more than the suffering and the problems, you will have something precious when they finally stop.

I have no regrets. I can honestly say I appreciated every day I had with Dora since the day we were married. Even then, I understood that all things are temporary and must be appreciated in the moment. I learned not to take life or people for granted.

If you have a loved one in a care facility and you know that time is ticking, then try to appreciate whatever connections you can maintain with them, even if they forget who you are, even if it is one-sided.

I chose to love Dora regardless of what she could or couldn’t do in return.

I never faced Dora forgetting me, but I had assumed I would eventually, so I reveled in the time I still had, and in my case that never happened.

She passed away giving me a sign that her hands are still holding me, that she still loves me. Her final moment was pure love for me.

But I never assumed it would be like that. I just assumed she would forget who I was long before she could have even had such a powerful moment with me. That I received this gift at all is just an unexpected bonus.

Just focus on the moment you have with them in front of you.

Make decisions around what is best for them and possible for you, knowing you will probably never be able to do all you wish you could do; and that your choices may range only from hard and painful but necessary to very hard and more painful.

That’s the reality of such care. It’s best to accept it honestly and without fear. It’s best to focus on your love for them and to maintain whatever connections you can maintain.

“If you ignore the dragon, it will eat you. If you try to confront the dragon it will overpower you. If you ride the dragon, you will take advantage of its might and power.”Chinese Proverb

OVERVIEW

China has been aggressively attempting to drive the U.S. out of regions it once dominated. The regions we are analyzing are Africa, Western Europe (the EU nations primarily), and the Americas. For each region, China has a different foreign policy approach, but it has a few tools it uses repeatedly.

The primary tool is entanglement, a strategy that is also used to procure resources at discount prices. This involves building infrastructure that is sustained by Chinese workers, or Chinese-paid workers, offering loan packages that create mounting perpetual debt, and integrating their economy into yours through trade.

The variation of its application comes through how China leverages that power to affect policy. In the case of Africa, there is little demand on policy, beyond Taiwan, but in the Americas, China wants a little more than mere profit.

The second tool is narrative. The use of this tool is much more difficult to document and track. It warrants a report on its own. For now, we will bracket off this tool and focus primarily on economic tools, which are China’s primary overt foreign policy weapons.

This report is intended to show the reader, just through the open policies of China, just how aggressive and invasive China has been in its ongoing effort to topple the U.S. as the military hegemon of the world.

It does not touch on the clandestine operations, such as the narrative tools deployed by bots and agents, some of which become California mayors.

AFRICA

China’s approach to Africa is more pragmatic than the other two regions we will analyze. They have adopted the “Anglo model,” which trades good deals on resources for infrastructure development.

Beyond resources, China wants entanglement with markets that make it difficult, if not impossible, to allow any quick African exodus from Chinese influence. Maximally, they want that entanglement to come at the expense of the West, especially the United States.

The China-Africa Cooperation (FOCAC) began in 2000; In less than three decades this institution has become the backbone of China’s Africa policy.

Through this it has trained soldiers and students, and served in UN Africa missions, where the PLA accounts for more troops than any other permanent member of the UN. It is second only to France in training African students.

China’s recently announced policy packages for Africa offering zero-tariff deals for 53 African nations.

Unlike the West, including the U.S., China makes no cultural or social policy conditions on its potential African allies outside of not acknowledging Taiwan as an independent nation.

  1. RARE EARTH MINERALS – The largest reserve of cobalt reserves sits in the Democratic Republic of Congo. China’s mining firms are operating within the region, but the region itself is highly unstable.

The pushback against Chinese incursions into more rare earth mineral fields has begun, with 13 African countries now banning certain “critical” rare earth minerals from being exported, with China as the unnamed target.

China’s development of the Lithium Green Lane is attempting to monopolize the global battery supply chain. Zimbabwe, Mali, and Namibia are part of the chain. China is now developing processing or “beneficiation” plants so they can export a more finished product.

  1. SAHEL – China is on most unsteady ground in the Sahel, where efforts to align with junta governments like Burkina Faso, Mali, and Guinea, have led to the juntas turning on the Chinese. What’s at state are more rare earth minerals, especially lithium.
  2. AFRICA AND TAIWAN – China’s One Nation policy, enforcing the notion Taiwan is a part of China, not an independent nation, is winning the day in Africa. Only two African nations, Eswatini and São Tomé and Príncipe, recognize Taiwan and sustaining diplomatic relations with them.
  3. AFRICAN ALLIES – China has three strong allies of note, Djibouti, South Africa, and Ethiopia. Djibouti is China’s most significant ally. China’s first overseas military base was built in Djibouti. It its China’s largest import point into Africa and China’s second-largest export point out from Africa.

Ethiopia is China’s “investment for bases” model. China has invested hundreds of millions of dollars building infrastructure in Ethiopia. That includes railways, communications systems, and even industrial parks. They have a tight military partnership.

The African Union Headquarters is located in Ethiopia’s Addis Ababa. It was built by China.

South Africa might be China’s most complete partner. South Africa is one of the letter countries in China’s BRICS scheme, an effort to counter the U.S. dollar’s world reserve currency status. BRICS stands for Brazile, Russia, China, and South Africa. China has bestowed on South Africa the status of “all-around strategic cooperative partnership.”

  1. AFRICAN ADVERSARIES – The only direct adversary of China in Africa is Eswanti, which is also one of only two African countries to sustain diplomatic relations with Taiwan. In response, China has severed all diplomatic relations with the country.

Eswanti is located completely within South Africa. Its geopolitical location within a strong Chinese ally gives it incentive not to support China.

Zambia isn’t a direct adversary like Eswanti, but it was the first African nation to default on its sovereign debt to China. This happened during the Covid-19 pandemic. As a result, Zambia is seeking relief from western authorities, though they haven’t fully broken with China either. China’s control over the nation’s mines and power grids makes that separation difficult.

  1. KENYA – Most of China’s relations with other African nations fit into some category of mixed. Kenya stands out as a bellwether of this type of relationship.

Kenya has received a lot of funding from China, which has seen a lot of infrastructure built, including their Standard Gauge Railway. But China is losing support in the country, as mounting debt to China is causing them to question their own sovereignty, a theme not uncommon with countries in this relational category.

EUROPE

China approaches Europe both as a single economic bloc and as independent nations they develop unique policies for. Underlying all their policies is efforts to tilt Europe away from America. The tension against that comes from Russia, which China has continued to support, even if not consistently aggressively.

The EU receives economic leverage in its American dealings by inviting China into their markets, and being allowed into China’s markets, but they also see China as a threat.

The long-held line is that China is an economic partner, but also a competitor, and a systemic rival. However, that last claim gets more dubious as much of Europe continues to become increasingly authoritarian.

The nations are coming closer together even as, at minimum, a plurality of people in Europe are growing increasingly hostile to these policy shifts towards Beijing’s governance model.

One wedge China has exploited recently is the “Global South” narrative, which is a narrative that a polar, or even bipolar world, created a great injustice in the global south. China uses the narrative to suggest Europe should support a multipolar world to avoid another global south injustice.

They don’t aggressively push Europe away from the U.S., they push them towards “neutrality” on the U.S.-China rivalry.

  1. HUNGARY – China’s strongest ally has been lost after Viktor Orban lost his re-election bid to EU-supporting Peter Magyar. The win immediately affected China’s power as Hungary quickly shifted from resisting aid to Ukraine to now supporting it. Hungary has been blocking many CCP-disproved policies, and now that is over.

However, Hungary’s entanglement with China is such that it cannot cleanly break away, so efforts have been made to at least normalize relations, even if Hungary is no longer going to be the CCP-s EU veto.

  1. LITHUANIA – The only clear adversary of China, Lithuania represents a spirit held by other Balkan states, like Estonia and Latvia.

Lithuania decided to recognize Taiwan, which led China to sever all ties with the nation. In response, Lithuania allowed Taiwan to create a “Taiwanese Representative Office” on its soil.

  1. GERMANY – While Germany is China’s biggest economic trade partner, the country is becoming concerned about just how dependent they now are on Chinese supply chains while China has also become an industrial competitor.

Germany is a bellwether of the risk of the entanglement strategy, especially among the citizens themselves.

  1. ITALY – China’s Belt and Road Initiative got its first home in Europe in Italy, the first G7 nation to become part of the project. However, as China moved in and projects moved forward, Italy had second thoughts. Just four years later, they would formally exit the belt and road.

While Italy still wants to trade with China, they are no longer interested in opening themselves up to the Chinese entanglement strategy.

CHINA AND THE AMERICA

Within the Americas, China is looking fundamentally to disrupt American power and shatter the mantle that the Americas are the United States’ “backyard.”

It’s approach to each nation is more wholly systemic than Europe’s policies, which are more systemic than Africa’s policies. While America is always a part of almost every relationship China forms in these three regions of the world, it’s not as prevalent as it is in the Americas.

In addition to blunting U.S. power, China also relies on Latin America for essential commodity exports. China has become the top trade partner for numerous South American countries.

In keeping with its entanglement strategy, China is also building infrastructure in Latin America, including railroads, mining operations, and energy grids.

On the Taiwan front, China has turned most of countries towards its One China policy, with holdouts in the Caribbean, including Belize, Haiti, and Saint Vincent.

Beginning in the early 2000s, China’s Belt and Road initiative started in earnest in South America, making it the number one trading partner of the whole continent. Over $140 billion in loans have been issued through the project since 2005.

As in Europe, China is also using the “Global South” narrative to push the Americas to minimally remain neutral in the U.S.-China rivalry.

However, it’s policies in the America’s took a serious hit when the United States effectively replaced a pro-Chinese regime in Venezuela with a pro-U.S. one.

  1. THE VENEZUELA SHIFT – In January 2026, the U.S. pulled off a stunning operation in the middle of the night that saw the balance of power shift in Venezuela by the time the sun rose. Pro-China President Nicolas Maduro had been seized by U.S. forces and taken to a U.S. prison where he sits today, facing numerous drug trafficking related charges.

Venezuela was the strategic crown jewel of China’s foothold strategy in South America. Through Maduro, China was given great access to the continent. Not only did China lose the foothold, they also lost roughly $60 billion the Maduro regime owed them.

The collapse of the Maduro regime has led to the end of the so-called “Bolivarian axis.” Venezuela was the lynchpin of the axis, which included Nicaragua and Cuba. As a result, Beijing is shifting to an “Institutional” strategy.

They are no longer looking to back “rogue” regimes, but instead want to rely on “institutional” democracies that submit more easily to international law.

The ability of the U.S. to snatch Maduro so easily is leading China to want to develop networks outside of U.S. observation, especially financial ones. A key development is China’s digital Yuan (e-CNY), which hopes to replace the U.S. controlled SWIFT system that most of the world uses to move currency legally.

China’s policy of avoiding military conflict with the U.S. has caused it to shift from hopes of developing a military presence openly in South America to more clandestine developments, along with continued entanglement strategies.

China also took a major surveillance hit by losing access to Venezuela’s satellite tracking stations. Overnight, it also lost access to all of Venezuela’s military ports.

The general world policy expert consensus is that this action has not finished China in the Americas, but it has forced it to take a more patient approach as it bides its time before it can sufficiently challenge the U.S. militarily.

China’s entanglement strategy in the Americas appears to have avoided the excesses in Europe and Africa. It hasn’t raised widespread local concerns of Chinese dependence, but it has made these countries unable to fully disentangle from China.

While the South American countries are not likely to challenge U.S. policy in relation to China, they’re also not likely to stop doing business with China anytime soon.

One good outcome for China is the emerging notion of the “lawlessness” of the U.S., which will open doors for China. However, its inability to offer military protection to such a key ally as Maduro somewhat blunts the opportunity, since its standing as a security protector is significantly less than it was before January 2026.

  1. PANAMA – The first major blow to China’s presence in the Americas came with Panama throwing China out as the operator of the Panama Canal. The move has pitted Panama against China directly, with the U.S. providing security.

Outside of the United States, it’s the only nation of the Americas to be in an adversarial role with China.

  1. CHINA’S AMERICAS ALLIES – Brazil, Cuba, and Peru now stand as the jewels of China’s alliance in the Americas. Of the three, Cuba stands on the precipice of being lost to China, but, for now, it is still holding on.

Brazil is the largest agriculture exporter in the world. China is the world’s largest agriculture exporter. Between the two, their volumes are so high they can bypass western standards and set their own global “green commodities” standards. This is called the “Beijing-Brasilia” effect.

Cuba offers China a military presence, which is why, in part, the U.S. is moving so aggressively to affect regime change. Cuba’s ties to China are more ideological than any other nation in the Americas, which has made the relationship an easy fit.

Peru has become maybe the most economically entangled country with China of all the nations of the Americas. The capstone of that relationship is the $1.3 billion mega-port in Chancay. It is strategically the most valuable asset China has access to in all of the Americas.

  1. COLUMBIAColumbia is in a state of limbo when it comes to China, with 2026 elections determining the China’s fate. The country signed a belt and road agreement with China in 2025, but that deal is now in doubt. The elections happen at the end of this month, May 2026.
  2. MIXED ALLIANCES – Most of the nations of the Americas fall into the Mixed Alliance category, with Canada, Mexico, and Chile, being the bellwethers of the group.

Canada had a good relationship with China until several scandals, including accusations of election interference, caused the relationship to collapse. Now, the Prime Minister of Canada, Mark Carney, has been working on mending those relations, even calling for the multipolar vision of the world China has been pitching.

Carney appears willing to use China as a blunt on President Trump’s power, but Canada’s security mistrust of China isn’t going away any time soon.

Mexico is China’s second largest regional trade partner, but one not wholly trusting of that relationship. Mexico views China as a direct goods competitor and has imposed tariffs on China to minimize its presence. Mexico’s entanglement with the U.S. insulates it from China’s full entanglement strategy.

Chile has strong economic ties to China, but it is not so keen to have China become entangled in its economy. It also favors U.S. security ties, which it also feels more ideologically aligned with. Chile remains a top 3 major partner for China in the Americas, but one kicking its heels in protest.

SUMMARY

In less than 30 years, China went from a backwater foreign policy power to one second only to the U.S. in world influence, and that claim might be disputed.

Partly on bluster and partly on real accomplishments, China has built its entanglement into multiple nations who once relied primarily on the U.S. for security and commerce. Their foreign policy is thoughtful, complex, and above all else clearly serves the best interests of China.

In 2026, China suffered two major setbacks to its foreign policy schemes, the fall of Maduro and the loss of the Panama Canal. With Iran threatening to totter, a third catastrophe could soon be on the way. Yet even if Iran were to fall, China would still have solid options to overcome the loss of Iran, and neither the Panama Canal nor Venezuela have finished them off in the Americas.

The wildcard in the China foreign policy is the state of affairs at home. No great power in the world is stable, and China is no exception. Chairman Xi’s recent purge of Generals testifies to that fact.

In some ways, it seems Xi’s foreign policy strategy is more thoughtful, more long-term in thinking, than his domestic policies are. It could be that China’s foreign policy power might be felled from within, though the next regime will hardly be left with nothing to once again resume the dream.

U.S. President Donald Trump entered his final talks with Xi Jinping on Friday touting economic wins that gave markets little to cheer, while Beijing warned Washington about mishandling Taiwan and said its war with Iran should never have started.

Trump is making the ‌first visit by a U.S. president to China, America’s main strategic and economic rival, since his last in 2017, and has been seeking tangible results to beef up his dented approval ratings ahead of crucial midterm elections.

“We’ve made some fantastic trade deals, great for both countries,” Trump said, seated beside Xi in a decorative red armchair at the opulent Zhongnanhai complex, a former imperial ‌garden that houses the offices of Chinese leaders.

Speaking during an interview with Sean Hannity on Fox News, Trump said the executives accompanying him to China were there to secure economic opportunities that could ultimately bring jobs back to the United States.

“Those business people are here to make deals and to bring back jobs,” Trump said. “China’s going to invest hundreds of billions of dollars with those people that were in that room today.”

In an interview with Fox News’ Sean Hannity Thursday from Beijing, President Trump said that during their summit, Chinese President Xi Jinping assured him that China would not provide military equipment to Iran for its war in the Middle East.

Asked by Hannity how big of a discussion the two leaders had regarding China’s support for Iran, Mr. Trump responded, “We discussed it. When you say support, they’re [China] not fighting a war with us or anything.”

According to Mr. Trump, Xi told him that he’s “not going to give [Iran] military equipment. That’s a big statement. He said that today. That’s a big statement. He said that strongly.”

The two leaders sat down for two hours of talks on Thursday, May 14, with the entire world looking on as Xi hailed US-China relations as the world’s “most important” and Trump declared the discussions “extremely positive”.

From the very beginning of the visit, the power dynamic between the two men has been unmistakable, according to body language expert Louise Mahler, who argued “if life is a competition, for me, Xi won.”

President Donald Trump claimed that Chinese President Xi Jinping was “impressed” by the U.S.’s performance in its war with Iran and that it may soon resume imports of oil from the United States.

Speaking with Fox News’s Sean Hannity after his meeting with the Chinese leader, Trump expressed his belief that a good relationship with the other superpower was a good thing and that positive relationships with “very powerful” countries are desirable. He then suggested the view was mutual vis-a-vis China and that Beijing gained further respect for the U.S. during the war with Iran.

After boasting of successes in Venezuela and Iran, Trump said he and Xi spoke about the matter at their meeting.

During their summit, the two leaders are seen as aiming to stabilize their trading relationship after last year’s trade war. They’re also grappling with uncertainty over the United States’ war with Iran. But the issue of Taiwan loomed large.

The closed-door session lasted roughly two hours and 15 minutes. The White House characterized the meeting as “good.”

President Trump is hitting pause on his highly anticipated summit with Chinese President Xi Jinping at the end of March and is telling Beijing that it can wait a month as his team focuses on the conflict in Iran and their attempts to disrupt shipping in the crucial waterway of the Strait of Hormuz.

China has been keeping its cards close to the vest as it has warily watched U.S. forces take out most of the senior Iranian leadership in the last 17 days with Operation Epic Fury. Trump, meanwhile, has worked since the beginning of his administration to rebalance the rules of trade between the two powerful countries, as he believes the deck has long been stacked in the People’s Republic’s favor:

The summit was meant to focus on trade, as both Trump and Xi seek to extend a delicate tariff truce between the world’s two biggest economies. But China showed little immediate sign that it was bothered by the likely delay, which analysts told NBC News may actually prove beneficial to efforts to further stabilize relations.

Trump said Monday that his China trip planned for later this month could be postponed because of the war, telling reporters in Washington, “I think it’s important that I be here.” But his administration has not confirmed that the trip is delayed or shared more specific dates for when it would be rescheduled.

FINAL THOUGHT – SEX AS CHRISTIAN SPIRITUAL FULFILMENT

By Bill Collier, Publisher

“Let your fountain be blessed, and rejoice in the wife of your youth, a lovely deer, a graceful doe. Let her breasts fill you at all times with delight; be intoxicated always in her love. Why should you be intoxicated, my son, with a forbidden woman and embrace the bosom of an adulteress?” – Proverbs 5:18-20

Sex is a spiritual communion between two souls meant to be together for life. Marriage is the place God pre-ordained for this union, because marriage, in its totality, is a shadow and representation of the love between Jesus Christ for the church, the Body of Christ, and between the church, who are the Bride of Christ, and their Lord.

This is so holy and sacrosanct; I can hardly find the words to convey how eternal and sacred this institution is. It does not end but changes from just between two people to the whole Body of Christ and Jesus Himself.

When I die, I will not be my late wife Dora’s husband nor will she be my wife; we are the bride of Christ forever, married to God in a perfect union.

People do not seem to understand marriage and sex from a pure Kingdom perspective. They miss the best God has to offer. We all miss it to some degree, but those who treat intimacy like a short round of sexual pleasure, while they treat marriage like dating with paperwork, are denying THEMSELVES God’s best for their lives.

I’m not here to judge any one person. I will discern and judge between what I see as right and wrong, from the absolute moral standards down to personal preferences, but not individuals.

If you are reading this and feel defensive, because this isn’t something you have lived, understand that I hadn’t lived it myself, I came to live it, but I spent a lot of my youth violating it and didn’t even understand what I was doing.

I invite you to consider God’s way.

You say, “who are you to say what God’s way is?”

Well, I have 66 sacred books and thousands of years of moral and doctrinal orthodoxy behind what I believe. In short, I didn’t just wake up one day and pretend I was hearing the voice of God or that my opinion about things was the utter sacred truth of God’s design.

Nonetheless, you may still think you understand what God wants better. You may reject the very notion of God’s existence. That’s between God and you.

I don’t judge you as a bad person or someone beneath me because you don’t agree that what I’m saying is God’s blueprint for marriage and sex. I just feel that you are missing God’s best, and my desire is for everyone to have God’s best for their lives with excellence.

I can have a viewpoint about God’s design for sex, marriage, and family, without judging you as a bad person or beneath me.

When it comes to God’s righteousness, I have fallen utterly short and throw myself at the foot of the Cross in total obedience and surrender. As St. Paul stated, “The good I would do I do not do and the bad I do not want to do, I do” (Romans 7:19). But thanks be to God for the sacrifice and resurrection of Jesus Christ that saves me from this body of sin.

So, I present not a judgement against you but an offer of a better way. I went down my own unrighteous sexual path.

It was 1986, or maybe early 1987, while I was still confusing sex for love and love for sex, when that confusion finally broke me, for the better.

At one moment, after an indulgence that left me empty, I chose to deny myself any sexual gratification until I met the woman I would marry until death did part us.

I was still in denial of Christ. Yet even without Christ, I came to understand the unfruitfulness of sex outside of marriage. I would still do other awful things after I was sexually broken before truly repenting and renewing my covenant with God by faith in Jesus Christ.

After I came back to Christ, the vow became even more meaningful, as my views of healthy sexuality aligned with God’s. It is because of this vow that my wife and I didn’t so much as kiss until after the Pastor declared us married.

We could never bring back our virginity, we could not give that gift to each other; but we had both made a choice years before we met to refrain from sexual gratification until marriage.

The perfection of love is found in marriage and the pinnacle of that love shared is sexual intimacy, which, while gratifying, is about the connection; the gratification being a side effect, not the main show.

Experiencing pleasure is a good thing in marriage and finding ways to bring this type of pleasure to each other is an adventure; at least it can be, and optimally will be.

What do you do now if you have pretty much trashed God’s righteous standards in love, sex, and marriage? You stop. You search God’s Word for His standards. Don’t just read a book that tells you what the Bible says. Use modern tools, like a concordance and a Bible Dictionary, to find every reference, and judge for yourself what it says.

If you are part of a congregation, you should seek council within the parameters of your congregation. Yet continue in the steps that follow, for no institution, no human is infallible.

Next, find authors who have addressed these things, from the ancient to the modern, and judge for yourself, knowing, however, that you should treat this as something vital, holy, and urgent. You want to get it right for your own happiness and completeness. You want to be circumspect.

While people, including me here, may teach on the subject and claim they are teaching the right way, in the end, you alone are responsible for what you choose to believe and do.

This is why I am double careful when I share things to express them as a fallible man, not the arbiter of the meaning of the Word of God, lest I become a stumbling block to others through my own arrogance, or mislead them from God’s path through my own “sincere” error.

I strongly urge against sex outside of marriage, not as a prude, but because sex outside of marriage is, at best, in my considered opinion based on my faith, spiritually vapid and invalidating to your soul in ways that are hard to see in the moment of pleasure.

Many sometimes feel its emptiness but this passes and is forgotten as they seek a new dose of pleasure.

I can testify that sex inside of marriage with Christ as the head of our marital union was something almost mystical and affirming in ways I cannot describe, so much that years after the last time I was intimate with Dora, the blessedness of those encounters still fills me with joy.

I have theorized that IF I end up never remarried and thus never have sex again, it will be because what I had filled me for the rest of my life.

On the other hand, IF I remarried it would be with someone who holds the same view on intimacy and sex within a holy marriage. They would treat sex as a gift to be freely shared, not a chore, nor just a way to get physical pleasure, although it’s a definite benefit to have between you.

I would likely also refrain from any physical intimacy or kissing until marriage, not that I think it is wrong for everyone (you can kiss your boyfriend or girlfriend!), because for me that feels right.

If you are single, and Christian, let God choose your spouse and follow His plans.

I have presented what I have concluded is the best representation of God’s blueprint for marriage and sex that I possibly can.

It is up to you to judge whether I am close or far from the truth. But if you see that I am right or already know the same thing I do yet haven’t lived by it, now is the chance to repent, to re-center yourself in the center of God’s will, and to proceed forward into a new pattern and practices that are truly Kingdom centered and lead to blessings and happiness for all.

Bellwether Report – Week Ending May 8., 2026

By Paul Gordon Collier, Editor

“Our children long for realistic maps of the future that they can be proud of. Where are the cartographers of human purpose?”Carl Sagan

“The world can doubtless never be well known by theory: practice is absolutely necessary; but surely it is of great use to a young man, before he sets out for that country, full of mazes, windings, and turnings, to have at least a general map of it, made by some experienced traveler.”Lord Chesterfield

INTRODUCTION

This past week has seen the fall-out of the Supreme Court Ruling on race-based gerrymandering begin to form the new reality of power in American politics going forward.

We chose this news story because it is not only a bellwether for the new American political reality of power, but also a bellwether for the debate that cannot be rationally, logically held, how essential is biological ethnic unity and commonality to human thriving?

Were we a species studied by a distant advanced species would they conclude the human must fundamentally organize around biological ethnic unity?

For the record, this writer strongly suspects the essential binding unity is in our shared presuppositions regarding the nature of valuing, being, and knowing (axiology, ontology, epistemology, respectively).

This topic deserves further inquiry, but I don’t want to get too far afield from this narrower focus, the race-based dynamic at play here that puts the “left” in the position of defending ethnic biological unity necessity.

This report is not about the debate, but about the dynamics of power being shifted here because of this ruling.

Race essentialism has a connotation of supremacism and inferiority that makes it an unfit term to use to describe what’s going on here, though semantically, it perfectly describes it.

For this reason, I will use the term race necessity (or race necessitarianism) to describe what’s going on here. While all race essentialists are also race necessatarians, not all race necessatarians are race essentialists.

Race necessitarianism is all I am “accusing” anyone here of, be they on the “left” or the “right.”

The “left” has risen to power in this country mostly under the claim it will end racism, which is race essentialism. But what it offered instead was race necessitarianism. It concealed this fact by changing the definition of race to simply mean being white in the western world.

So, they could continue to have NFL endzones dog whistle to leftistsEnd Whitey” whenever the endzones had signs that said, “end racism.”

Whatever the reality, the motte of the left is to be decidedly against both race essentialism AND race necessitarianism, whereas a significant minority of the right has more openly embraced race necessitarianism while claiming not to be race essentialists.

The bailey of the left is the belief the white devil invented evil, a decidedly race essentialist mindset.

With this issue, the right must now reject the notion of not only race essentialism (which this writer believes the overwhelming majority already do) but also race necessitarianism (which perhaps most of them do).

This isn’t a one-off battle that will force the right to engage with this position, then move on; this is the foreseeable future of American political reality.

This report will give you the basic facts of this developing story, as we know them so far, then an assessment of what’s going on at what I call the base of action level. That base of action will return us to race necessitarianism and the question of gerrymandering in and of itself.

We will close this report with recommendations, which will be given from the perspective of the Americanist. We deliver this report loosely following the Sitrep model.

EXECUTIVE SUMMARY:

The Supreme Court’s historic Louisiana v. Callais (April 29, 2026) ruling has redefined the terms of constitutional engagement at a foundational level.

The burden of proof to trigger Federal intervention in racial discrimination cases includes disproportionate outcomes. This means that any result that produces unequal results in proportion to population will justify discriminatory actions to assure proportional outcomes occur.

In drawing new voting districts, at all levels, from local to Federal, the Voting Rights Act was interpreted to allow race-based districts to be created to assure proportional racial outcomes in elections, at all levels of government. It not only allowed race-based districts, but it also mandated their creation.

Now, the new standard is PROOF of the intention to prevent other races from successfully running and winning elections, not simply the failure of the electorate to racially proportionally choose their representatives.

A key result of this is that Federal standards for drawing district maps are now no longer valid. All districts will be drawn by the bodies they represent. From the U.S. Congress to State Courts, the standards for district-drawing can be as many as there are districts, though no intentionally race-based districts can be created.

What’s at stake in this ruling boils down to political power. The results of this ruling are not certain, but as of right now the chances are fair to good that the Republicans will come out 5 to 13 seats ahead of the Democrats in the U.S. House gerrymandering wars.

This is only for the 2026 midterm elections.

Over the course of the next three years, Republicans will gain close to 200 state legislative seats in the South as a result of this decision.

The midterms are one thing, the Presidential election is another, and GOP gains through this ruling will only get deeper after many more Republican states finally have opportunities to act to change their districts.

The ruling invites gerrymandering war perpetuation at all levels of government for the foreseeable future, as every election will be as much about being able to draw the next round of district maps as executing policies (maybe even more so).

James Woodall, a former NAACP president in Georgia, was quoted by Stateline. He offered some encouragement to the progressives, suggesting there may still be some legal room to enforce the principles of the Voting Rights Act.

He also offered a sobering take on the new dynamic of race in this country following this ruling.

He declared, “Practically, what this now means is that Black voters equal Democrat. And in order for Black people to have political power, we will need to separate ourselves – and I hate to say this – we are going to have to separate ourselves practically from that assumption.”

The days of the black voter being a reliable Democrat in a reliable black district are over.

Race politics itself could be over, or at least significantly blunted. The Democrat Party, if it survives its inundation of anti-American progressivism, will have to treat the black voter like a human voter. The power of the white devil has been reduced, if not ended, if the black victim identity is no longer an effective political tool.

BACKGROUND

  1. THE CAJUN FIGHT – In June of 2022, a Federal Judge ruled the 2022 Louisiana District Map was unconstitutional because it did not have enough black districts to assure proportional black representation.

In 2023, Louisiana created SB8, a second black majority district, to meet the de facto racial quota. In early 2024, a class action suit was filed from plaintiffs who are referred to as the Callais plaintiffs. They claim the racially created district violates their 14th Amendment Rights.

The plaintiffs are looking at two recent rulings that began to question the constitutionality of race-based districts. One was Alexander v. South Carolina NAACP (2024; upholding a map) and Allen v. Milligan (2023; VRA enforcement in Alabama),

In November of 2024 another case was joined with this case, assuring this case would be the bellwether for voting district standards for decades to come.

  1. THE RULING – By a 6-3 decision, the U.S. Supreme Court held that the standard for determining racial discrimination in voting is not in the results, but in the proof the results were intentionally manipulated. Failure to show more than disproportionate outcomes will result in no relief from the courts.

Justice Alito wrote for the majority. He wrote, “Held:  Because the Voting Rights Act did not require Louisiana to create an additional majority-minority district, no compelling interest justified the State’s use of race in creating SB8, and that map is an unconstitutional racial gerrymander.  Pp. 17–36. (a) The Constitution almost never permits a State to discriminate on the basis of race, and such discrimination triggers strict scrutiny.

“Section 2(b) establishes that a violation occurs when political processes are ‘not equally open to participation by’ members of a racial group ‘in that [they] have less opportunity than other members of the electorate to . . . elect representatives of their choice.’

“The key concept is ‘less opportunity than other members of the electorate,’ which sets a baseline against which to assess the opportunity of minority voters.  That baseline—the opportunity that any given group of voters has to elect their candidate of choice—depends on the voting preferences of other voters in the district.

“For example, in a district where most voters prefer Democratic candidates, a Republican voter in that district will have a low chance of securing the election of his or her preferred candidate.  The roster of voters who end up in a given district depends, in turn, on the districting criteria the State uses to draw a legislative map.

“Thus, the ‘opportunity’ of these ‘members of the electorate’ to contribute their votes to a winning cause is whatever opportunity results from the application of the State’s combination of permissible districting criteria.

That is what a randomly selected individual voter and group of voters can expect regarding their opportunity to elect their preferred candidate. Under §2, a minority voter is entitled to nothing less and nothing more.”

Justice Kagan wrote the dissent. In her dissent, racial voting to assure your representatives are the same race as you is more important than assuring Americans don’t vote based on race. If race is more essential than the political issues, than what is the legitimization of that political system at all?

Her dissent reflects the progressive worldview that race is essential to the self and having the self’s race represent them is more essential than establishing a rule of law standard that could be called “color blind.”

Continuing to perpetuate racial sectarianism is a sacrifice Kagan is willing to have us all pay, for the good of race-driven politics.

She asserted, “Even if the State has deprived those citizens (but not their majority neighbors) of all opportunity to ‘elect representatives of their choice,’ the law will not protect them.

“…The majority has made its own assessment of current needs… and concluded that preventing racial vote dilution does not count among them.  So once again, ‘in the absence of proof of intentional discrimination,’ the right to vote gives minority citizens ‘nothing more than the right to cast meaningless ballots.’

“The consequences are likely to be far-reaching and grave. Today’s decision renders Section 2 all but a dead letter.  In the States where that law continues to matter—the States still marked by residential segregation and racially polarized voting—minority voters can now be cracked out of the electoral process.”

  1. THE IMMEDIATE FALLOUT – Louisiana Governor Jeff Landry suspended six U.S. House elections so the legislature would be able to draw a new map eliminating the two black districts. This move was challenged in the courts by civil rights groups.

This triggered an expedited judgment request by the “non-African” plaintiffs in Callais, who argued their rights would be violated if the elections went through with the unconstitutional districts. On May 5, 2026, the judgment was fast-tracked by Justice Samuel Alito. This created opportunities for a few Republican states to move before the midterm elections to change district maps in their favor.

Alito’s decision has been challenged by black voters in the districts being eliminated. In addition to Louisiana, South Carolina, Alabama, and Tennessee are now looking to draw new district maps as well in special legislative sessions.

Georgia MIGHT have a path to redraw some maps, but that path is less clear than the others mentioned.

UPDATE: Tennessee has already passed a new districting bill, which triggered a physical altercation in the legislature.

CURRENT SITUATION

Now that the legal eagles have had time to digest the new reality of power, Republicans and Democrats are looking for ways to maximize opportunity (for the GOP) and minimize harm (for the DNC). Only a handful of GOP states can move to take advantage of this ruling before the midterm elections.

Underneath the national drama are 50 state dramas and hundreds of local dramas being played out across America even as we create this report.

The fundamental question, the constitutionality of “gerrymandering” at all, has yet to be addressed, and both sides seem more than content to preserve that political weapon for themselves.

Republicans are looking for cheap, easy ways to eliminate black (and thus Democrat) districts. One way is to reinstate versions of existing maps with minor edits. Some GOP states have laws that allow for off-cycle redraws, which would allow for state and local districts to be redrawn before the 2026 midterms.

With SCOTUS effectively ruling that partisan gerrymandering (within reason) is ok, Map Makers are mostly only constrained by their imaginations when it comes to creating political advantage for the party in power.

Democrat states are looking to pass state laws protecting their state from the SCOTUS ruling, though it is not certain this path will be fruitful. The next legal challenge might come from these states, where race-based districts were not ordered or approved by the Federal government.

ASSESSMENT

The initial unfolding of the new political reality of power suggests the rise of the map maker, the one who draws the maps of the new districts, the constantly new districts, perhaps after each switch of party in power.

This is not a predictive analysis, rather, this seems to be the foregone conclusion, and the new reality of power they are operating under.

District maps are now drawn by the powers they represent, with the only Federal guidance being this; you can’t use disproportionate outcomes to justify the creating of a race-based district. Gerrymandering as a practice has been given even more free rein than it did before.

Race-based politics has taken a serious hit, but the check is in the mail for that effect, as the activist power of the left is existentially formed around the white devil narrative. Without the white devil, who can dismantle an argument with the charge, “but you’re a white male!”

The dissent by Kagen shows the fundamental divide between Americanists and progressives. Americans seek a world where our merits, our talents, and our integrity, are the central determiners of our fate, though not the sole determiner (for there is grace, mercy, and charity as well).

Progressives see a world where discrimination based on race in and of itself is not an existential issue, for their rule of law is based on interpreting the constitution through the lens of social justice.

We have described social justice in the past as being a de facto caste system, where the circumstance you are born into determines your value to society, and your role.

Kagen demonstrates this by assuming a minority black community in a white dominant community could not be equally divided politically as that white community, and that the central unity in that political action was not around race but around values, principles, and standards.

If Kagen is right, America is not a legitimate power, for it is built on the assumption that a people can be united around an idea alone, not a biological unity necessity. This, in part, is why American slavery became so vicious, for its people had to make the black man something less than human.

But it is also why that spirit couldn’t hold in a land whose very government was built on the spirit that kills such assumptions.

Kagen reveals a mind incapable of seeing the black race, or any race, as anything but a borg collective of samethink predetermined politically by the melanin levels in their skin. Kagen is a race necessitarian, at the very least, and an anti-Americanist at her core.

For Kagen, she recognizes that the shift in standards from a burden of outcome to a burden of intent fundamentally guts not only the Voting Rights Act’s Section 2, but the heart of race-politicking progressive power.

Now that that black race cannot simply be an easily contained collective, progressives will have to address the individual needs of individual blacks, who will, by necessity, want to find a political opportunity for power, which can now only be found outside of racial necessity.

Immediately, the stage is set for the action that could kill race politics in America, the SCOTUS gerrymandering decision, becoming the accelerant of that fire in the short-term as GOP-held districts prepare to cull the black districts from their lands.

  1. NOTE: Be sure to read our May 2026 MIA Report on May 29 when we will offer our Predictive Analysis in our Situation Report.

The fallout of this ruling is sure to be part of that report, for it has the likely potential of fundamentally altering American political gamesmanship at a time when AI is already doing similar work across multiple institutions.

RECOMMENDATIONS

There are Americanists in all walks of life, across all biological, socio-cultural, and even sacred lines. So, we presume there are Americanists in government, in political parties, and in activist groups.

What we are recommending can be implemented, or initiated, in various ways according to the context of the institution you as an American find yourself in.

Where you have the power, these are the goals we recommend your individual action contribute towards making happen.

We believe there are two fronts that must be pursued at the same time, challenging partisan gerrymandering and creating American political parties.

The first one is to challenge the notion of partisan gerrymandering in the first place. This is a principle that is anathema to the American spirit.

While we recognize mapping districts is complex, and that there are no neat, cut and dry solutions, having little to no standards nationally seems anti-thetical to individual-based politics. This is Americanism versus social politics, progressivism (and apparently US conservatism as well).

While relying primarily on geographical contiguity in and of itself cannot be the only standard for drawing just districts, we suggest it becomes the heavily favored outcome. Where exceptions become the rule, as they do today, tribal partisanship takes the place of free and open political discourse, development, and governance.

Tribal partisanship is social justice.

The parties become identified by their tribe, not their ideas. The ideas are the ones that give your tribe coercive advantage over other tribes, nothing more.

The individual dies under the pressure of not voting against his tribe’s own interests, even if their “useful” ideas don’t align with the individual’s own self-stewarded ones.

The right’s willingness to use gerrymandering for its own tribal ends is as anti-American, by our standards, as the left’s willingness to use gerrymandering to do the same, even if it means fueling racial partisanship.

Where local and state laws can be changed to create district mapping standards more aligned with Americanism, this should be done. Where you have the power to make this happen, through appeal or as a government representative, do so.

Nationally, we should move to pass an amendment that would create a national district map standard aligned with individual liberty, not tribalism, be it social justice or US conservatism.

We believe it must come from one central party that recognizes its goal is to vanquish the Democrats and Republicans, then become 2-3 parties that reflect the natural divisions of a people willing to see their ideas die in the hearts of their neighbors consensually.

We believe the natural divisions of political power outside of tribalism, are to fetishize the weak to vanquish the strong or fetishize the strong to vanquish the weak. The party that rises through fetishizing the weak will simply redefine the strong in fact as still being the weak in spirit, like progressives do when they gain power today.

This is what the claim of “systemic racism” creates, a de facto strong class that is still spiritually weak. This is a job that can never be completed, lest the champion of the weak lose its purpose, its justification for power.

Within Americanism, this type of political exploitation can be contained so that even when one party dominates the other, the people outside of political power have no existential threat from it in terms of their own capacity to pursue being a self-stewarded individual.

This is America’s superpower, the home of the brave power, the power to resist violence when you fairly lose or even when you fear you MIGHT fairly lose.

This spirit has been seen in traces throughout known human history, from China to Rome to Aksum, but never has a land like ours had such an opportunity to let that superpower thrive.

Let us hope and pray and work to overcome the spirits, the factions that seek in their ignorance to end that superpower either for the good of the whole or the good of being great.

New York City police arrested three people after an anti-Israel mob swarmed the Young Israel Senior Services of Midwood in Brooklyn on Monday night.

The synagogue hosted “an event promoting real estate in Israel and the West Bank.”

The anti-Israel group Pal-Awda NY/NJ organized the protest. The group uses “slogans such as ‘No settlers on stolen land’ and ‘Stop the sale of stolen Palestinian land.’”

New York State Sen. Sam Sutton condemned the event.

“Neither of these protests would have happened had these venues not chosen to host illegal sales of stolen Palestinian land,” the group responded. “The people of New York will not stand by while the ethnic cleansing of the Palestinian people is aided and abetted by institutions in our own city.”

From The New York Post:

The anti-Israel mob chanted “Palestine is ours alone,” and several carried a wide banner that read “Israel is killing children.”

During one fight, a person who concealed their face with a medical mask yanked a girl’s hair — and nearly threw her against a parked car in the process, according to a video obtained by The Post.

Shortly after, another man squared up against a squad of young men carrying a Palestinian flag.

“Let’s go, motherf–kers, c’mon! C’mon, motherf–kers!” the man yelled.

At least two teenage pro-Israel protesters were detained. As the NYPD marched them down the streets, their supporters followed and chanted for the cops to “let them go.”

An anti-Israel protester was also detained, cops said.

All three individuals taken into custody had thrown items during the heated protest, according to the NYPD.
