The Supreme Court on Monday turned down a request from a former Colorado county clerk to halt her upcoming trial on charges stemming from her alleged involvement in an apparent security breach at the county’s election offices in 2021.

Justice Neil Gorsuch denied the request from Tina Peters, the former clerk of Mesa County, Colorado, and a prominent 2020 election denier, without comment.

The order came from Gorsuch because he oversees matters arising from the appeals court that rejected Peters’ efforts to throw out the criminal case.

The former clerk has pleaded not guilty to 10 state charges, including several felony counts, stemming from the apparent security breach in Mesa County’s elections office in May 2021.

The criminal investigation into the clerk’s office began after Colorado Secretary of State Jena Griswold, a Democrat, accused Peters and her deputies of facilitating the breach.

On Sunday, July 21, 2024, at 1:46PM ET, Joe Biden let the world know he was bowing out of the Presidential race for “the good of the country and the good of the party.” He let the world know through X. This followed an announcement earlier that week he was diagnosed with having Covid-19.

Within two days of the announcement being made, Democrat delegates quickly rallied around Biden’s endorsement, Vice President Kamala Harris, the new presumptive nominee of the Democrat Party. Biden disappeared for four days before emerging Tuesday, July 23, in a video showing him weakly walking across a tar mac and up a small flight of stairs into Air Force One.

Early polls are mixed, with some showing Kamala taking an early, though small, lead, while others show Trump extended the lead he had over Biden.

Without earning a single vote cast by the American public, Vice President Kamala Harris won enough support from Democratic delegates to secure her party’s presidential nomination less than 48 hours after her octogenarian boss dropped out of the race.

Over 2,660 delegates said they back the former California attorney general, pushing her way over the 1,976 votes needed to clinch the nomination, an Associated Press survey found. No other potential candidates were named in the survey as an alternative to Harris.

Since Biden dropped out of the race and endorsed Harris, his VP has gained support from other notable congressional Democrats and party leaders, including former House speaker Nancy Pelosi, Biden ally Rep. Jim Clyburn (D., S.C.), former president Bill Clinton, and his wife, former secretary of state Hillary Clinton, who ran to be the first female president against Donald Trump in 2016. George Clooney, who wrote an op-ed in the New York Times that called on Biden to leave the race, also endorsed Harris.

Democratic delegates immediately began gathering support for the vice president following Biden’s announcement. Just hours after Biden ended his reelection campaign, Democratic National Committee members circulated a letter pushing their support for Harris as the next presidential nominee.

Although we’re still in the early stages of the so-called “Kamala Harris campaign,” initial polling would suggest President Trump does as well, if not better, in a head-to-head contest against the vice president as he did against Joe Biden.

As it stands, Kamala Harris’ poll numbers are abysmal.  She currently polls as the most unpopular vice president since the advent of modern polling.  Her 32 percent net favorability (compared with a 49% unfavorability rating) is lower than both Dan Quayle and Dick Cheney, the architect of the universally despised Iraq War.

A recent poll by HarrisX/Forbes gives President Trump a nine-point lead over Harris, 50% to 41%, higher than the lead that same poll gave him over Biden, 48% to 40%.  When broken down by demographic group, the 45th President’s numbers look even more promising: HarrisX/Forbes gives President Trump a +15-point advantage over Harris among Independents, 48% to 33%, and a staggering +19-point lead, 58% to 39%, among voters between the ages of 18 and 34.

Kamala Harris is still actively raising money for Minnesota Freedom Fund, an organization that bails out violent criminals, especially ones burning down cities and looting stores in the name of “racial” and/or “LGBTQ+” JUSTICE!  Harris’ tweet from June 1, 2020, declared “If you’re able to, chip in now to the @MNFreedomFund to help post bail for those protesting on the ground in Minnesota.”

The fund’s own director at the time, identified as Lewin, revealed the principles of the fund, saying “I often don’t even look at a charge when I bail someone out. I will see it after I pay the bill because it is not the point. The point is the system we are fighting.”

Minnesota Freedom Fund posted bail for rapists and other violent criminals

Vice President Kamala Harris is actively raising money for a bail fund that busts violent criminals from jail as her nascent presidential campaign signals her candidacy will lean heavily on her roots as a tough-on-crime former prosecutor.

Harris urged her followers to donate to the Minnesota Freedom Fund in June 2020 as Black Lives Matter rioters wreaked havoc in Minneapolis in the days following George Floyd’s death. Harris’s fundraising efforts helped the fund raise more than $41 million in 2020, but the group only used a small fraction of that bounty—$210,000—to bail rioters out of jail. The remaining funds helped post bail for violent criminals such as Christopher Boswell, a twice-convicted rapist who was freed from jail in 2020 pending kidnapping and sexual assault charges after the Minnesota Freedom Fund paid $350,000 for his release.

“The last time we were down there, the clerk said, ‘we hate it when you bail out these sex offenders, that is what they said,’” former Minnesota Freedom Fund interim executive director Greg Lewin told Fox9 in August 2020.

The Minnesota Freedom Fund continues to reap dividends from Harris’s fundraising efforts well into 2024. The vice president’s fundraising page for the group, which contains a photo of a triumphant Harris before a crowd of supporters alongside her 2020 campaign logo, is active and accepted a contribution from this reporter on Monday morning.

Both GOP and Democratic student leaders tell The College Fix young people across the spectrum concerned about making a living in today’s economy

Students and young voters across party lines agree that economic concerns take priority over social issues, according to a new Young America’s Foundation poll.

Nearly half of the 1,600 young people surveyed — 48 percent of high school students and 44 percent of college students — named the economy as a top concern.

Angst over the economy outpaced the results for any other topic, such as health care, school safety, the environment and race relations among those surveyed, one in three of whom identified themselves as moderate. The rest ran the gamut, from conservative to liberal.

Among college students polled, only 14 percent named race relations among their top three concerns, and only 15 percent listed LGBTQ-rights as a priority.

Back in 2020, Joe Biden made it a point to pick a black woman to be his running mate. In 2024, now that Vice President Kamala Harris is running for president in her own right, MSNBC’s Andrea Mitchell declared it “clearly racist” on Tuesday for Republicans to point this out.

Addressing former RNC chairman Michael Steele, Mitchell whined, “It took only a day for the Republicans to attack Vice President Harris in clearly racist terms. Republican Congressman Tim Burchett of Tennessee says the vice president is a diversity hire. I mean, here’s a former senator, attorney general of California, our largest state. Take a listen.”

Vice President Kamala Harris was rated as the second most liberal senator in the 116th Congress, behind only Independent Vermont Sen. Bernie Sanders, according to GovTrack.

The analysis aims to rank how partisan different senators are based on “whether they sponsor and cosponsor overlapping sets of bills and resolutions with other Members of Congress,” said GovTrack — a non-partisan organization that tracks lawmakers and their voting records. Based on this method, Harris was ranked the second most liberal member of the 116th Congress, which ran from January 3, 2019 to January 3, 2021.

One metric, which compared how many bipartisan bills each senator co-sponsored relative to how many bills they co-sponsored overall, found just 14.4% of the bills she co-sponsored were bipartisan, putting her at 97th out of all 100 senators. Moreover, during the 116th Congress, Harris had just one legislative bill she proposed be enacted into law, making her tied for 87th in that category.

Harris’ GovTrack rating runs counter to reporting that characterizes her as a middle of the road politician, with The New York Times once describing her as a “pragmatic moderate” in August 2020.

Democrat mega-donor Alex Soros was quick to throw his weight behind Vice President Kamala Harris after Joe Biden announced his withdrawal from the 2024 presidential race.

Soros, who took the helm of the Open Society Foundations (OSF) last year from his father, 93-year-old Hungarian billionaire activist George Soros, immediately signalled on Sunday that his family’s vast fortune will be firmly behind Kamala Harris as the potential Democrat nominee against former President Donald Trump in November.

Taking to X, Soros wrote: “It’s time for us all to unite around Kamala Harris and beat Donald Trump. She is the best and most qualified candidate we have. Long live the American Dream! #Harris2024”

The endorsement from the mega-donor came in the wake of President Joe Biden announcing his withdrawal from the 2024 race after facing pressure from within the Democrat Party, the grass roots, and the donor class to step aside as his support continued to slide after a disastrous debate with President Trump last month.

WASHINGTON — President Biden is ending his bid for a second term in office and backing Vice President Kamala Harris to take the nomination, he announced Sunday. While Harris shares similar views as Biden on many issues, she is to the left of the president on health care.

“I believe it is in the best interest of my party and the country for me to stand down and focus solely on fulfilling my duties as president for the remainder of my term,” the president wrote in a letter shared to social media.

The announcement comes after weeks of speculation about his physical health and cognitive abilities following a stumbling performance in the June 27 debate against former president Donald Trump, where among other gaffes and inaccuracies, Biden incorrectly said “we beat Medicare.”

His announcement leaves the Democratic Party with weeks before its late-August convention to secure a presidential nominee and restart the 2024 campaign. Biden in his letter thanked Harris “for being an extraordinary partner in all this work” and in a later post to X said he was endorsing her for the party’s nomination.

In her first campaign address since President Joe Biden dropped out of the 2024 race, Vice President Kamala Harris emphasized her support for new gun restrictions.

On Monday, Harris rallied with Democratic campaign staff in Wilmington, Delaware. She laid out her vision for her own potential presidency, which included a number of new gun-control laws. She described herself and the campaign staffers as “we who believe in the freedom to live safe from gun violence.” Then, she made specific policy promises.

“That’s why we will work to pass universal background checks, Red Flag laws, and an assault weapons ban,” Harris said.

Harris’s speech and promises come after a whirlwind 24 hours where President Biden announced he would no longer seek reelection and endorsed her to take over his campaign. Nearly every prominent Democrat has since lined up behind Harris, and no major challengers to her taking the nomination have yet appeared. Her Monday speech indicates she plans to pursue a very similar gun policy path for the 2024 election that President Biden has been laying out since earlier this year.

Vice President Kamala Harris has been coasting toward the Democrat Party nomination in the wake of President Joe Biden dropping from the race, earning enough delegates to shore up support.

Biden exited the race on Sunday and immediately endorsed Harris, which prompted waves of support and endorsements from top Democrat officials and fundraisers. According to an Associated Press (AP) survey, several delegations met late on Monday to “confirm their support for Harris, including Texas and her home state of California.”

“By Monday night, Harris had the support of at least 2,471 delegates, according to the AP tally of delegates, more than the 1,976 delegates she’ll need to win on a first ballot. No other candidate was named by a delegate contacted by the AP,” noted the outlet.

Harris told campaign staff in Delaware on Monday that she has confidence her new team will perform well, adding that it is her “intention to go out and earn this nomination and to win,” promising to “unite our Democratic Party, to unite our nation, and to win this election.”

Cosmic justice sometimes comes with a dose of irony.

Black Lives Matter, the insidious Marxist organization Democrats used to foment violence during the race-mongering madness of 2020, has issued a public objection to party leaders’ swift coronation of Vice President Kamala Harris as their 2024 presidential nominee.

“Following the primary where millions of black voters weighed in, after one poor debate performance, the DNC Party elites and billionaire donors bullied Joe Biden out of the race,” BLM said in a statement to Reuters.

Sunday on the social media platform X, President Joe Biden announced that he would withdraw from the 2024 presidential race.

President Joe Biden forfeited his reelection bid, now making former President Donald Trump the oldest presidential nominee of a major political party, and now Democrats expect Vice President Kamala Harris to attack his age.

Prior to Biden dropping out, his campaign team worked to sooth voters’ concerns that the 81-year-old president was too old, too frail, and too weak to run the country for another four years.

Even before his disastrous debacle at the first presidential debate, which prompted calls for him to end his reelection bid, Biden released an ad in March that looked to prove that all he had accomplished shouldn’t be negated by his age.

A new poll from the Associated Press shows that a staggering majority of Democratic voters want Joe Biden to drop out of the 2024 election in favor of a younger, more mentally competent candidate.

As reported by Axios, the AP-NORC poll, released on Wednesday, saw 65% of Democratic respondents support the notion that Biden should withdraw ahead of the November election. Among overall respondents, 70% supported a Biden withdrawal, while just 57% believe President Donald Trump should withdraw.

But along party lines, President Trump has much stronger and more unified support among his base, with 73% of Republicans supporting his candidacy while a mere 26% want him to drop out. By contrast, only 35% of Democrats want Biden to stay in.

A similar poll from ABC News saw 67% of voters in favor of Biden dropping out, due in large part to most voters no longer viewing Biden as a “mentally sharp” candidate.

The alarm bells at the Biden-Harris headquarters are going off after a new poll of both swing states and the nation shows former President Donald Trump growing his healthy lead over President Joe Biden 109 days before the election.

Emerson College on Thursday released results showing President Trump leading the Democrat incumbent 44% to 38% national, the largest lead he has held all year in the first poll conducted since he was nearly killed in an assassination attempt on Saturday. An initial outpouring of sympathy for Trump appears to have catalyzed the shift in greater support despite pausing a slew of headlines about concern around President Biden’s age. Those results were even more pronounced in eight swing states certain to determine the outcome of the November election.

Mark Zuckerberg has decided to remove all the restriction on President Donald J Trump’s Facebook and Instagram accounts, which were restored two years ago to limited status after they had been banned on January 6, 2021.

The move came just before the assassination attempt on Trump, but no doubt Facebook’s decision to follow the DNC party narrative that January 6 was an insurrection led by President Trump in an effort to overthrow the election (as opposed to legally challenging the results, which is what the President was doing) helped contribute significantly to the climate that has created such violent action in the first place.

Facebook and Instagram parent company, Meta, is moving to remove restrictions on former President Donald Trump’s accounts, according to a report that was published Friday.

The limitations were imposed after the end of a two-year ban linked to the Jan. 6, 2021, assault on the US Capitol by Trump’s supporters. But a Facebook spokesperson told the Axios news website that it is reversing course to ensure fairness between candidates heading into November’s White House race.

The limitations on Trump’s account included stricter penalties if he violated the company’s rules.

“In assessing our responsibility to allow political expression, we believe that the American people should be able to hear from the nominees for president on the same basis,” Meta’s President of Global Affairs Nick Clegg said in a statement.

The Democratic National Committee is reportedly preparing to use some dirty tricks to get Biden over the line.

According to Axios, the DNC is planning to “run out the clock” on his nomination in a bid to quell the growing calls for him to step aside because of his declining mental and physical health.

The report states:

The Democratic National Committee is quietly steaming ahead with plans to technically nominate President Biden weeks before the party’s convention next month, Axios has learned.

It’s the latest effort by Biden’s team to stamp out the Democratic rebellion that’s been pushing for the president to step aside since his bad performance in the June 27 debate.

Donald J Trump chose Senator J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his running mate on the first day of the Republican National Convention, July 15, 2024. Vance was once a virulent critic of Trump but had changed his tune, becoming one of Trump’s staunchest supporters. Vance is 39, a stark contrast to the age of his running mate, Trump, as well as Biden.

MILWAUKEE — Anticipation around former President Donald Trump tapping Sen. J.D. Vance (R-OH) as his vice presidential nominee not only concerned the next four months before the 2024 election and the next four years, should he and Vance win in November.

But Trump’s decision on Monday, announced during the opening day of the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee, could also define the GOP for the four or eight years after that should Vance become the party’s prohibitive favorite in 2028.

In tapping Vance, 39, the youngest vice president since eventual President Richard Nixon, Trump has provided his Make America Great Again movement and America First policy platform with an opportunity to continue after his second and last term, instead of picking a more centrist, compromise candidate as an appeal to more establishment Republicans.

Trump, a legacy-minded real estate mogul and marketing expert who rose to national prominence before The Apprentice TV series because of his branded buildings, has anointed an heir apparent in tapping Vance, according to Republican strategist Cesar Conda.

The U.S. House of Representatives has passed legislation that would expand on and enforce proof-of-citizenship requirements in federal elections. President Biden has vowed to veto the legislation if it is passed in the Senate, however, while Democrats have slammed the bill as “racist” and “xenophobic.”

The Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act passed through the House by a vote of 221-198 on Wednesday, with five Democrats voting in favor of the Republican-led bill.

If enacted, the legislation will require state election officials to ask about citizenship before providing voter registration forms. There is currently no requirement to provide proof of citizenship in order to receive federal voting forms. According to a recent report from the New York Post, this has led to non-citizens receiving voting forms in 49 states.

The SAVE Act would also allow state officials to accept a wide variety of documents that will make it easy for citizens to register to vote in federal elections, provide states with access to federal agency databases so they can remove noncitizens from voter rolls and confirm citizenship for individuals lacking proof of citizenship, and direct the Department of Homeland Security to determine whether to conduct removal proceedings if a noncitizen has been identified as having registered to vote in federal elections.

Pollster Nate Silver described Vice President Kamala Harris as “mediocre at best” and said former President Donald Trump would likely defeat her in the upcoming presidential election if she replaces President Joe Biden during a podcast posted to YouTube on Wednesday.

Many Americans, including Trump, have speculated that Harris will or should take Biden’s place at the top of the Democratic ticket in the wake of his disastrous June debate performance against the former president. Silver on the “Risky Business” podcast said that even if Harris is a lackluster politician, she is preferable to Biden as she is mentally competent, even though he thought that she would likely lose in a matchup against Trump.

A few days ago, there were reports that some of Biden’s biggest donors were holding back, waiting to see how the Biden soap opera would play out. At that time, the Biden campaign was reporting that small-dollar donations (less than $200) were as strong as ever.

Six Democratic advisors and operatives who work with major donors told Politico that the money is beginning to dry up as the trickle of donors calling for Biden to step aside has become a wave.

“This is a massive, massive problem,” one of the operatives who work with major donors said. “Right now, we should be scaling up, doubling, and tripling our goals as we head into the fall. But we’re cratering.”

Some fundraisers have been canceled. Some donors have “threatened to withhold donations until the president drops out,” according to Politico’s sources, who were granted anonymity to discuss the issue.

A deep red state governor is backtracking on his pledge to support former President Donald Trump’s reelection bid, a shocking change of mind after announcing his support during the Republican primary season.

A Cook Political Report shows that the freefall President Joe Biden was in before the debate is only accelerating post-debate, as most of the battleground state are leaning Trump, with only three now in toss-up status. This follows news that both New Jersey and New York State are now considered contestable, though they still mostly lead Biden (with one New Jersey poll showing Trump slightly ahead).

For months now, analysts have considered the 2024 presidential election between Donald Trump and Joe Biden a toss-up because national polling has generally shown the race to be within a couple of points. As it stands right now, Trump has a 3.3-point lead in the RealClearPolitics national average.

The Electoral College, however, is a different story. While Trump generally had the lead in the battleground states, his lead was sometimes razor-thin. For example, Trump and Biden were tied in Wisconsin before the debate. Now, Trump has a 2.2-point lead in the RCP average for the state — his highest lead during the campaign. Biden’s position has become worse all around, and a new update from the Cook Political Report is absolutely devastating for Biden.

“The notion that the presidential [race] is a Toss Up was a stretch even before the debate,” Dave Wasserman of the Cook Political Report wrote in a post on X/Twitter. “Today, Trump has a clear advantage over Biden and a much more plausible path to 270 Electoral votes.”

President Joe Biden appears committed to blocking the Safeguard American Voter Eligibility (SAVE) Act, which would mandate proof of American citizenship for voter registration in federal elections.

There’s a key reason why Sen. Marco Rubio (R-FL) could be a tantalizing pick for former President Donald Trump’s running mate: GOP megadonor Ken Griffin.

According to The Daily Mail, longtime Trump adviser Corey Lewandowski says that “If Sen. Rubio is the choice there are plenty of donors I’m sure will come along – including Ken Griffin, allegedly.”

Griffin, a hedge fund tycoon estimated to be worth $37 billion, backed Florida Gov. Ron DeSantis over Trump in the primary, who went on to flame out with a botched campaign. He was outspoken against Trump in 2022, calling him a “three-time loser” and saying the GOP should “move on” from him.

Rubio being on the ticket, however, could reportedly sway Griffin, who moved his company, Citadel, from Chicago to Miami in recent years, unlocking a deep source of campaign funding for GOP PACs.

A new poll spells doom for Democrats as they try to smear President Donald Trump with a “convicted felon” label ahead of the critical November elections.

As Trump prepares for a rematch against President Joe Biden, the new poll from the Associated Press (AP) shows that Americans are more concerned about the Democrats’ weaponization of government.

The AP poll shows that Americans are against jailing Trump.

However, the majority of respondents do approve of Hunter Biden serving prison time for felony gun crimes.

Biden and the Democrats have relentlessly attacked Trump as a “convicted felon” since he became the first U.S. president to be found guilty of a crime in May.
