Joe Biden and the Democrats (as well as their media lapdogs) keep trying to gaslight us all into thinking he is “fixing” the economy, but the truth is that the U.S. misery index has soared over his horrid four years in office.

The misery index was lower under Trump than it had been for a long time, but under Biden it has risen to new heights (or depths, if you will).

The only year it was up during Trump’s term was in 2020 when the scamdemic hit the nation. And then it was at 9.35. But before that, it was well under seven. and the lowest was the 5.44 seen in 2019. This was evidence that what Trump was doing was reversing the mess Obama had made.

New York has essentially been a blue state for the past two decades, however in recent weeks it has become clear that this election season, it is in play for Republicans. Four years after Joe Biden bested Donald Trump there by 23 points in polling, polls have shown that the gap is narrowing following Biden’s miserable debate performanc.

Many Democratic allies of the president in the state have voiced their concerns about the possibility their party may lose ground. Few, however, have called on Biden to step down, with the most prominent politicians making it clear they still plan on backing him come November.

As Politico reports, a number of Democratic Party officials past and present have called on Biden to accept that New York is not as secure as it was during the last election, and spend more of his time and money there. While Biden was recently in the Hamptons for a private fundraiser, he has been urged to try and connect with everyday voters, as Trump did when he held a massive rally in the Bronx. On the night Trump attended a wake for a fallen NYPD officer, Biden partied at a tony, celeb-studded fundraiser at Radio City Music Hall.

Billionaire and top Democrat donor Reid Hoffman, co-founder of LinkedIn, has been revealed to be funding a lawsuit to silence election reporting. Hoffman is the same Democrat donor who funded a “Russian-style” disinformation campaign in 2017, financially backed E. Jean Carroll’s suspicious lawsuit against Donald Trump, and visited pedophile Jeffrey Epstein’s private island.

Hoffman is investing millions in Smartmatic, the electronic tabulator company suing Fox News and Newsmax for defamation following the 2020 election, according to The Washington Post. Hoffman said he intends to help keep the company afloat, as it has been pursuing expensive legal retribution against the outlets for their election reporting.

In a statement to The Washington Post, Hoffman claimed “Smartmatic became a target of the defamatory campaign to overturn [Trump’s] defeat.”

Fox and Newsmax hosted commentators who aired concerns that tabulators were not secure, were vulnerable to voter fraud, and had possibly changed Trump votes to Biden votes. Smartmatic alleges that hosting these discussions constituted defamation. Fox settled a suit with Dominion Voting last year over similar allegations.

New polling in Arizona’s hotly contested U.S. Senate race is showing a path to victory for firebrand conservative Kari Lake after she remained mired on the losing side of the numbers for months.

Lake, who ran for governor in 2022 with President Trump’s endorsement, now leads her likely Democratic rival, Rep. Ruben Gallego (D-AZ) by two percent, according to an analysis conducted by The Hill. As the outlet notes, early polling gave a leg up to Gallego, but Lake for months has been hammering home the message that the uncontrollable flood of migrants across the state’s southern border is the result of his enabling of President Biden’s immigration policies. The state went for President Trump by 3.5% in 2016 and was narrowly carried by President Joe Biden by 0.3% four years later.

Former Speaker Nancy Pelosi was non-committal Wednesday morning when asked if she supported President Joe Biden continuing his reelection bid — something the incumbent has repeatedly told Hill Democrats he would do.

“It’s up to the president to decide if he is going to run,” Pelosi said on MSNBC’s “Morning Joe.” “We’re all encouraging him to make that decision, because time is running short.”

When pressed on her answer, as Biden has told Hill Democrats, donors and voters that he plans to stay in the race, Pelosi still demurred: “I want him to do whatever he decides to do.”

The morning appearance highlights the simmering Capitol Hill concerns about Biden’s viability against former President Donald Trump.

Pelosi, for her part, urged a hold on such discussions until after the president finishes hosting the NATO summit this week. Biden will have a press conference on Thursday.

President Joe Biden’s campaign staff is scrambling to excuse the candidate from a golf contest against his 2024 opponent, former President Donald Trump.

The two presidential candidates clashed at their first debate of the cycle on June 27, where their skill at the gentleman’s sport became a point of contention.

“I just won two club championships, not even senior, two regular club championships,” Trump said on the debate stage in response to a question about his age and fitness. “To do that, you have to be quite smart, and you have to be able to hit the ball a long way. And I do it. He doesn’t do it.

“He can’t hit a ball 50 yards,” the former president continued. “He challenged me to a golf match. He can’t hit a ball 50 yards.”

A new poll shows Vice President Kamala Harris has a better shot than President Joe Biden at defeating Donald Trump in the 2024 election. The survey, conducted by the Democratic firm Bendixen & Amandi, shows Biden slightly behind Trump, 42 to 43 per cent, with Harris inching past the former president 42 to 41 per cent.

The eyes of the world are on Biden as he hosts the Nato summit in Washington DC amid concerns about his fitness to contest the election and serve another term in office and fresh calls for him to quit the 2024 race.

Meanwhile, Trump’s recent denial that he knows anything about Project 2025, a 900-page proposal by the Heritage Foundation think-tank for a radical reconfiguring of the US federal government to suit hard-line conservatives, has been ridiculed by former adviser to Mike Pence, Olivia Troye, who named ex-Trump administration figures involved and said she sat in on those policy meetings.

An FBI Agent who also served as a Twitter lawyer and a liaison between the government and Twitter in their joint venture to interfere with the 2020 election has been selected to be part of an Election Integrity Board. Jim Baker was selected to be part of the National Task Force for Election Crisis, most likely to help create it, not prevent it.

An FBI agent and Twitter lawyer who previously worked to censor election-related free speech has now joined a national election task force—just in time for the 2024 presidential election.

Former FBI agent Jim Baker, whose bio appears on the National Task Force for Election Crises, might be engaging in more election interference.

The National Task Force for Election Crises claims to work on securing elections and preventing fraud, including by rapid censorship of supposed disinformation. Baker’s tie to the group is particularly concerning because Baker previously helped coordinate the censorship industrial complex built up between federal government agencies and Big Tech companies like Twitter.

Baker’s Task Force bio brags about his career, including roles as the FBI’s general counsel and the Justice Department’s senior staffer and associate deputy attorney general.

During his time at the FBI, Baker helped initiatethe bureau’s investigation of former President Donald Trump’s supposed ties with Russia. What the profile does not mention is Baker’s role at Twitter, where he was allegedly complicitin election interfering censorship.

Before being fired by Twitter (now X) owner Elon Musk, Baker was still reviewing the Twitter Files and even complicated the release of information on how Twitter censored the 2020 Hunter Biden laptop scandal.

(The Center Square) – Former President Donald Trump appears to be chipping away at President Joe Biden’s northeastern blue wall with gains in New Hampshire, Virginia and now New Jersey, according to recent polls.

Amid mounting pressure from fellow Democrats for Biden to exit the presidential race, the latest polling from some key blue states may not be the news the Biden campaign longs to hear.

A recent poll of likely New Jersey voters shows Trump leading Biden 41%-40%, with Robert F. Kennedy Jr. at 7%. The poll, conducted by co/efficient, a market research company, surveyed over 800 likely voters June 26-27 right before the presidential debate.

Traditionally a solid Democratic stronghold, the Garden State hasn’t voted for a Republican in a presidential election since 1988. There are 14 electoral college votes at stake.

A poll conducted in late March by Emerson College shows that New Jersey voters may have started drifting away from the president earlier, with Trump only trailing Biden by 5% (41%-36%) and Kennedy at 8%.

Good morning, US politics blog readers. Today we’ll be continuing to keep an eye on Congress, where lawmakers are mulling how – or if – to deal with the question of whether to call on Joe Biden to halt his re-election campaign after a devastating debate performance that raised questions about his age and ability to win in November. Biden has scored the surprising and weighty endorsement of the progressive congresswoman Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (AOC), who has in the past clashed with Biden over policy. Biden’s meeting with the Congressional Black Caucus also went well for the president, with members of the caucus reportedly presenting unified support for Biden. That kind of institutional support on the Hill will help Biden, but it hasn’t quelled anxieties about his re-election bid – and more members of Congress could rally around his ouster still.

One new report said there are two names in contention to be former President Donald Trump’s vice presidential candidate, while other reports added a third name and others said anything could happen.

According to the New York Post, the stretch run in the veepstakes is between Sen. J.D. Vance of Ohio and North Dakota Gov. Doug Burgum.

The Post gave Sen. Marco Rubio of Florida an “outside shot” and — in a report full of sources it did not name — said neither Sen. Tim Scott of South Carolina or former Housing and Urban Development Secretary Dr. Ben Carson were likely. Trump is scheduled to unveil his pick on Monday, July 15.

One speculating source said the pick would be “J.D., Marco or Burgum” and that the source  did not “see a scenario where one of those three doesn’t end up getting it.”

“I would give Burgum and J.D. a little more of an edge than Marco,” the source said, adding  that “Marco still has a shot” and that “Burgum and J.D. have an equal shot.”

The Republican National Committee (RNC) released the party’s official 2024 platform on Monday, July 8, 2024. The platform focused on the economy, restoring election integrity, dealing with illegal immigration, and restoring a strong pro-American foreign policy. It noticeably de-emphasized the pro-life statement of the 2020 platform, leading some Pro-Life groups concerned.

The platform seems designed to capture as broad a base as possibly, potentially serving independents first and foremost by addressing economic and security needs over cultural ones (such as gay marriage and abortion, though the platform does include a pledge to end wokeness in all federally funded institutions).

On Monday the RNC’s Platform Committee adopted Donald Trump’s platform as the Republican Party platform for 2024 – and it’s been slimmed down from 66 pages to 20 bullet points.

Trump’s major themes of securing the border and ending the migrant crime epidemic, requiring voter ID and proof of citizenship to vote, strengthening the military, bringing the manufacturing industry back to the United States, and ending the weaponization of government are featured prominently. The platform also opposes any cuts to Social Security and Medicare, including opposition to raising the retirement age, and proposes middle class tax cuts and the “no tax on tips” point that Trump’s repeatedly brought up at rallies. It also emphasizes rebuilding America’s cities and making them “safe and clean” again.

As has been anticipated, the platform is silent on abortion and gay marriage, though the ongoing battle against radical gender ideology and sexualization of children is addressed in two bullet points:

CUT FEDERAL FUNDING FOR ANY SCHOOL PUSHING CRITICAL RACE THEORY, RADICAL GENDER IDEOLOGY, AND OTHER INAPPROPRIATE RACIAL, SEXUAL, OR POLITICAL CONTENT ON OUR CHILDREN

KEEP MEN OUT OF WOMEN’S SPORTS

With just a week until the Republican National Convention in Milwaukee where former President Donald Trump is expected to be renominated as the Republican presidential candidate, the GOP has officially adopted a new platform that reinforces Trump’s deep influence on the party.

Today, the Republican National Committee (RNC) Platform Committee announced the approval of the 2024 Republican Party Platform, a robust agenda that starkly contrasts with the “record of weakness, failure, and dishonesty” of the current administration under Joe Biden. The platform outlined Trump’s blueprint for his potential second term, with a return to his “America First” policies.

The platform accuses past politicians of selling out American interests through unfavorable trade deals and neglecting national security, contributing to a broad range of domestic issues. Trump’s 2024 platform is reminiscent of his 2016 campaign promises, focusing heavily on economic growth, job creation, and a revival of American manufacturing. Trump also blamed the Biden administration for a host of woes including “raging inflation, open borders, rampant crime,” and a decline in global stability.

Key promises in the 2024 GOP Platform included:

  • Sealing the border and halting the “migrant invasion.”
  • Carrying out the largest deportation operation in U.S. history.
  • Ending inflation and enhancing affordability for Americans.
  • Reclaiming the title as the top global energy producer.
  • Transforming the U.S. into a manufacturing superpower, curtailing outsourcing.
  • Implementing significant tax cuts for workers and eliminating taxes on tips.
  • Defending constitutional rights including freedom of speech, religion, and gun ownership.
  • Aiming to prevent global conflicts and promising to build a comprehensive missile defense system.
  • Overhauling federal educational funding to exclude schools that promote what the GOP considers radical ideologies.
  • Ensuring election security through measures like voter ID laws and same-day voting.

After the debate debacle caused doubts about President Biden’s competency, he was rushed to do interviews to show he is perfectly fine. One of those interviews was with Philadelphia radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders, who exposed afterwards that she was given 8 questions ahead of time she should select from.

After her disclosure, she resigned after being encouraged to do so from her position at WURD radio, with the president and CEO of the radio station, Sara Lomax, saying “The interview featured pre-determined questions provided by the White House, which violates our practice of remaining an independent media outlet accountable to our listeners. As a result, Ms. Lawful-Sanders and WURD Radio have mutually agreed to part ways, effective immediately.”

President Joe Biden’s media campaign is under fire after a radio host revealed damning information that doesn’t help his case.

CNN reporter Victor Blackwell pointed out that two separate radio hosts in two different states asked almost identical questions during their interview with Biden.

Philadelphia radio host Andrea Lawful-Sanders revealed that Biden’s media team provided a list of questions to approve prior to the interview. She said she picked four pre-written questions from a list of eight submitted to her by the White House.

“Okay, so, the White House sent the questions to you ahead of the interview?” Blackwell asked.

“Yes, and I got several questions, eight of them. And the four that were chosen were the ones that I approved,” Lawful-Sanders confirmed.

After receiving backlash, the Biden media team announced it would no longer provide pre-approved questions to interviewers.

“While interview hosts have always been free to ask whatever questions they please, moving forward we will refrain from offering suggested questions,” Biden’s booking operation for media outlets said.

However, despite already knowing, and I’m sure rehearsing answers to the pre-approved questions, Biden still stumbled over his words.

During his interview with Lawful-Sanders, Biden claimed he was the “first black woman to serve with a black president.”

No wonder 72 percent of Americans think Biden is too old to serve in office another four years.

It is not uncommon for the 81-year-old president to rely on help during public appearances. Biden has been known to use cheat sheets and teleprompters throughout his entire presidency. The president has also been caught using notecards with a list of approved reporters to call on during press conferences.

U.S. Judge Aileen Cannon has granted numerous delays in the Classified Documents case against former President Donald Trump. The delays are expected to push the prosecution of this case until after the election. The delays were the result of the Supreme Court Ruling granting immunity to a President when executing “official” acts of the office.

On Saturday, the judge overseeing the classified documents case against former President Donald Trump ruled that several deadlines can be pushed back further, in another victory for the former president and his team.

Axios reports that the ruling by Judge Aileen Cannon grants a temporary stay on expert disclosures which were originally set for July 8th, as well as the reciprocal discovery by the defense originally scheduled for July 10th. Judge Cannon also set a new deadline of July 18th for Special Counsel Jack Smith and his team to respond to the Trump team’s motion to stay, as well as a request for a supplemental briefing; she gave both sides a deadline of July 21st to respond.

Judge Cannon’s ruling follows a historic ruling by the Supreme Court in late June which reaffirmed that President Trump has sweeping immunity from prosecution over his conduct while in office. The 6-3 ruling by the court’s conservative majority determined that he has absolute immunity for actions that fall within his “conclusive and preclusive” constitutional authority, as well as presumptive immunity for other official acts.

The Supreme Court’s ruling makes it nearly impossible for Special Counsel Smith, as well as Fulton County District Attorney Fani Willis, to prosecute Trump in their respective cases in Washington D.C., Florida, and Atlanta, Georgia. It also ensures that the cases will not go to trial before the November election, in which Trump is set to face Joe Biden in a rematch of the 2020 election.

President Trump and his team have also successfully delayed his sentencing in his Manhattan conviction; originally scheduled for July 11th, just days before the Republican National Convention, District Attorney Alvin Bragg and Judge Juan Merchan have agreed to reschedule the hearing for September 18th.

The evidence is now clear that while 51 former intelligence officials signed a letter stating the Hunter Biden laptop was not real, that it was a Russian disinformation campaign, they all knew they were lying, lying to advance the coup that was the 2020 Mass Mailer Election (which is no election at all).

The House Judiciary Committee released a statement on their findings, claiming, “High ranking CIA officials, up to and including then-CIA Director Gina Haspel, were made aware of the Hunter Biden statement prior to its approval and publication. Because several former senior intelligence officials signed the statement, the PCRB sent the draft statement to the CIA’s then-Chief Operating Officer (COO) Andrew Makridis, who said he subsequently informed then-Director Haspel or then Deputy Director Vaughn Frederick Bishop that the statement would be published soon. Senior CIA leadership had an opportunity at that time to slow down the CIA’s process for reviewing publication submissions and ensure that such an extraordinary statement was properly vetted.”

The House Judiciary Committee disclosed on Tuesday that CIA contractors collaborated with the Biden campaign in 2020 to undermine the credibility of Hunter Biden’s laptop.

In October 2020, just days before the presidential election, 51 former intelligence officials signed and released a letter alleging without evidence that the contents of Hunter Biden’s controversial laptop bore “all the hallmarks of a Russian disinformation campaign.”

This falsehood was known to be untrue by all involved. Despite this, the mainstream media still propagated the story and even used it during the debate to criticize President Trump.

In a victory within a defeat, the Michigan GOP was able to secure a win from a Michigan judge that would prevent a secret order by far-left anti-Americanist activist and Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson from taking effect. That order would allow election ballot counters to disregard the legally required process of signature verification before they do so.

The ruling, however, does nothing to touch the voter disenfranchising tactic of mass mailer “voting” in the first place. It merely makes it slightly harder for the Democrats of the fallen state of Michigan to count the votes they need to win, no matter how the American people actually voted.

… I’m happy to report that with the removal of Karamo months ago and the election of Pete Hoekstra, the party statewide is now positioning itself to be competitive. The more blue states that Biden has to compete in, like Michigan, Pennsylvania, and Wisconsin, the better it is for Donald Trump come election day.

This press release below shows that a number of Republican organizations are working together to ding the current Democrat Secretary of State here in Michigan, Jocelyn Benson, for her sloppy attention to detail with voter signatures.

Here is said RNC Press Release:

The RNC, Michigan GOP, and NRCC have won a major victory to protect mail ballots in Michigan. We discovered that Secretary of State Jocelyn Benson issued secret instructions to election officials to disregard signature verification requirements and instead “presume the validity” of signatures. We filed suit to protect these important safeguards. The court agreed with us, holding that the Secretary’s instructions are unlawful and that officials cannot presume the validity of signatures.

RNC Chairman Michael Whatley stated: “This RNC legal victory confirms the importance of mail ballot safeguards in Michigan’s Constitution. The Secretary of State’s covert attempts to sidestep these rules were rightfully rejected by the court, exposing that her attacks on election integrity have no substance. This win is just the latest development in our ongoing fight to promote fair and transparent elections in the Great Lakes State.”

Biden and Trump agree rules for first election debate of 2024

WASHINGTON: President Joe Biden and Donald Trump will face off in a 90-minute debate with mutable microphones, broadcaster CNN said Saturday (Jun 15), as it laid ground rules for the first in-person clash between the pair ahead of November’s election.

The rules for the Jun 27 debate, which will have two hosts and no studio audience, were agreed by the Biden and Trump campaigns, according to CNN.

“Both candidates agreed to appear at a uniform podium, and their podium positions will be determined by a coin flip,” the channel said, adding that microphones “will be muted throughout the debate except for the candidate whose turn it is to speak.”

No props or notes will be allowed on stage, with candidates only given a pen, pad of paper and a bottle of water, CNN said.

It said the debate, hosted in Atlanta, Georgia, will last 90 minutes with two commercial breaks – during which campaign staff cannot interact with their candidate.

Speaker Mike Johnson’s meeting with former President Donald Trump on Monday ended with a thumbs up and a photo op — the latest sign of bonhomie between the party’s top leaders.

“Our Party is united, and working together, I am confident we will send President Trump back to the White House, win back the Senate, and grow our House Republican majority!” Johnson wrote on social media.

Johnson and his party’s House campaign chief, Rep. Richard Hudson (R-N.C.), met with Trump at his Mar-a-Lago estate to discuss the party’s election strategy.

Trump has already played kingmaker in many GOP contests this year. But this sit-down — the speaker’s second meeting with the president in a week — shows party leaders are working toward further collaboration as November approaches.

President Biden and former President Obama appeared on stage together Saturday night in Los Angeles with late-night host Jimmy Kimmel — a conversation that included poking fun at former President Trump, touting the Democratic incumbent’s policy achievements and trying to motivate voters to head to the polls in November.

“I could have done nothing and done better than him,” Biden replied when asked about the former GOP president, whom Kimmel referred to as “Orange Julius Caesar,” before noting the strength of the nation’s economy, the low unemployment rate and other accomplishments. “We’re trying to give ordinary people a chance, just a chance.”

Obama added that Biden had built upon their policies when he was president and Biden was vice president, such as expanding access to the Affordable Care Act and increasing funding for efforts to stop climate change.

Governor Greg Abbott has declared that “voter fraud is real” after a Texas judge ordered a new election in Houston.

In May, a judge ordered a new election in Harris County’s November 2022 180th District Court judicial race following the finding that more than 1,400 vote cast were illegal and that it was impossible to determine which candidate received them.

Republican candidate Tami Pierce lost by just under 450 votes to Democrat DaSean Jones, who is currently a Texas district court judge, at the time.

Now, Abbott has taken to X, formerly Twitter, to share his view on the ruling. “Voter fraud is real. Especially in Houston,” he wrote.

President Joe Biden had the perfect answer for why former President Donald Trump is “ranting on Truth Social at 3 in the morning,” saying Trump has a “guilty conscience” in a video showing him answering questions that “Trump can’t.”

Biden’s words came weeks after Trump became the first former president to be convicted of felony crimes. A New York jury last month found him guilty on all 34 counts of falsifying business records to conceal hush money payments to porn star Stormy Daniels to corruptly influence the 2016 election. His sentencing is set for July 11.

In a clever campaign video dropped on Wednesday, Biden was asked a series of this or that questions, which are no-brainers for Biden but would be tough calls for Trump.
