Last year, a radical abortion ballot initiative passed in the solid red state of Ohio, shocking pro-lifers across the country. The results weren’t even close: 56.78% of Ohio voters backed a ballot initiative to write “reproductive rights” into the state constitution, while only 43.22% opposed it.

How did it happen? The Left’s dark money network provides a key part of the explanation, and the Buckeye State just approved a law to prevent the kind of foreign funding that helped boost abortion across the finish line last year.

While the Left has long demonized “dark money,” the term merely refers to funds that influence American politics and policy without disclosing donors. Most nonprofits are forms of dark money influence, but a network of pass-through nonprofits on the Left further cloaks dark money, and the Left’s dark money network spent more than comparable groups on the Right in 2020.

According to the Ohio Secretary of State’s records, pro-abortion forces spent $53.8 million to back the initiative, while pro-life advocates spent $36.1 million to oppose it. A large chunk of the pro-abortion funding ($8.2 million) came from one left-wing dark money group, the Sixteen Thirty Fund.

As an MSNBC host put it, Americans need “an economic explainer,” since “people are confused” about their financial situation. They’re actually “doing quite well,” she laughably asserted.

That will surprise the half of Americans who are struggling to make their rent or mortgage payments on time, especially the one-fifth of renters who are skipping meals to stay current, or the 65% of Americans who say their finances have deteriorated over the last year because of inflation.

Similarly, when President Joe Biden was told by an interviewer that food prices are up 30% in four years, he blithely dismissed it. American families, he claimed, “have more money to spend.”

Trump lawyer Alina Habba said Wednesday on Fox News Channel’s “The Story” that guest host Shannon Bream was incorrect on the source behind the business record trial against former President Trump.

Habba said, “Joe Biden, unfortunately, can’t really do anything in office So, he’s got to use the same means as somebody who’s just trying to have a quick slip-and-fall and make money. And that is frankly what we’re seeing right now. This is exactly a Biden show because he’s got to distract the American people.”

Joe Biden held a campaign rally in one of the largest cities in the nation Wednesday, and failed to fill the college gym. Biden and Kamala Harris appeared at Girard College, a predominantly Black boarding school in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. The venue appeared to be less than half full, with a large portion of the crowd made up of the press, according to a photo posted by the RNC on X.

 

Harry Sisson,  a paid Democrat operative who actively promotes Biden on social media, suggested that the above image portrayed the rally before it started, and posted a cropped photo that made the room appear fuller.

“Biden had a packed house in Philly today. Glad you got there early!” Sisson commented in response to the RNC’s post.

A prominent Manhattan Democrat has appeared on CNN to raise the alarm over fears of a “rising red wave in New York.”

During a Wednesday appearance on CNN, New York political leader Mark Levine warned that the Democratic Party could no longer afford to ignore working-class voters.

Levine, the Manhattan Borough president, said that voters are increasingly being drawn to President Donald Trump and the Republicans, even in traditionally deep blue strongholds like New York City.

“We cannot take working-class voters for granted,” Mark Levine warned CNN.

At the time that actor Robert De Niro and other Biden political surrogates were being besieged by hecklers and car alarms, Donald Trump was in the courtroom watching his attorneys explain to the five-woman, seven-man jury that bookkeeping entries didn’t rise to the level of 34 felonies and years in the slammer. The jury will get the case after the judge gives them the jury instructions, which as I write about nearby, are more about jurors being able to choose their convictions à la carte from a “Get Trump” menu.

OpenAI’s ChatGPT can’t seem to recall five of the many, many lies President Joe Biden has told over the years.

MRC researchers asked the artificial intelligence chatbot ChatGPT on May 16 what the “top five biggest lies” that Biden and former President Donald Trump have each told. The chatbot claimed that for Biden it “can’t list specific lies without context or verification.” Yet, it had no problem listing off five debated comments that Trump has made. Nearly two weeks later, the chatbot happened to remember a few.

MRC Free Speech America Vice President Dan Schneider pointed out that when AI comes up with totally botched answers like these, users must look to the programmers. “People should never forget that artificial intelligence is a combination of human-generated algorithms,” he said. “This sort of data manipulation is intended by the Big Tech oligarchs who want to use their vast power and resources to influence elections.”

President Joe Biden’s reelection campaign is going all-in on presenting former President Donald Trump as a threat to democracy as polling continues to show Biden sinking in swing states.

Biden’s campaign has enlisted the assistance of three police officers who worked at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, 2021, to further its latest strategy, CNN reports.

Sgt. Aquilino Gonell, Officer Harry Dunn, and Officer Danny Hodges will accuse Trump of posing a threat to democracy in key swing states, beginning in Nevada and Arizona.

Dunn is fresh off a primary defeat in a campaign for a congressional seat from Maryland. His campaign failed after troubling allegations of domestic abuse resurfaced, as well as reports that he was suspended without pay from the U.S. Capitol Police (USCP) in 2012 after improperly handling his department-issued firearm.
