The Democratic Socialists of America are becoming a problem for progressive Democrats who continue to hope nudging America towards progressivism is a better strategy than ripping the American band-aide off.

With the rise of Democratic Socialists within their own party, the Democrats are allowing Americans a clear choice between America and the Progressive state. So far, the DSA is causing some formerly strong DNC seats to become leans Democrat, but the voting population has yet to abandon these openly anti-American insurrectionist candidates.

Wisconsin is now finding out that when you’re dealing with modern Democrats, oftentimes there simply are no sane candidates.

Rep. Francesca Hong (WI-76), the “old white people” hating socialist, was widely expected to win the Badger State Democratic gubernatorial primary, but in a neck-and-neck finish earlier this August, Milwaukee County Executive David Crowley pulled out the win.

Good news, right? Sanity prevailed, and the more “moderate” candidate was chosen. Except, not so much. Turns out Crowley is a far-left extremist too, just maybe slightly less so than Hong.

He “embraced racial-equity budgeting,” expanded the county’s equity bureaucracy, and adopted climate plans that threaten even higher costs on Wisconsinites.

All while raising taxes on working families.

He calls himself a moderate, but Crowley is just another radical Democrat.

David Crowley, the Milwaukee County executive who defeated Hong after being cast as the more moderate choice, has overseen racial-equity budgeting, expanded the county’s equity bureaucracy and urged the Wisconsin attorney general to sue fossil fuel companies for environmental-related damages. Meanwhile, Crowley has also shared ground with Hong on taxing millionaires and ambitious carbon-neutrality goals.

“Milwaukee County is known for its beer and brats, but unfortunately it’s also the epicenter of David Crowley’s budgetary boondoggles. Under Crowley’s failed leadership, residents received their largest property tax hike in 15 years, paid higher sales taxes for everyday purchases, and saw millions of their hard-earned tax dollars set up to finance Crowley’s Green New Deal ‘Net Zero’ scam for the county,” Wisconsin native and Republican consultant Mark Bednar told Fox News Digital.

In a discussion with PragerU Executive Director Allen Estrin, Prager broke down a new CBS News/YouGov poll showing that 58% of Democrats view socialism favorably, while only 32% favor capitalism. This is a subject about which Prager, whose field of study in graduate school was communism, is qualified to speak. But who cares about that credential when “socialism, much less democratic socialism, is not communism,” as CNN Chief White House Correspondent Kaitlan Collins has said, right?

Prager wasted little time dispelling that argument with a brief history lesson:

The record of socialism in terms of human suffering, human death, human enslavement is the worst record in recorded history. In one—I won’t even say a century—inside of about 50 years, 100 million, 100 million people were murdered by socialists, by socialist/communist regimes. A coalition of far-left agitators is planning to protest the 2026 Republican Midterm Convention in Dallas, next month, sparking concerns about security.

The Dallas Against the Trump Agenda coalition includes the National Alliance Against Racist and Political Repression (NAARPR), the DFW Anti-War Committee, El Movimiento and the Freedom Road Socialist Organization (FRSO). The agitators are seeking permits, lining up legal support, organizing training, and making signs, according to the Dallas Morning News.

There is also a strong Antifa presence in the Dallas area, but they may be on their heels after eight members of a North Texas Antifa cell were recently hit with maximum or near-maximum federal prison terms amounting to a combined 450 years in prison.

Organizers of the protest reportedly say they want the GOP’s convention to include voices beyond those of “politicians, billionaires and Republican Party officials.”

Washington Gov. Bob Ferguson appeared to take a swipe at Mayor Katie Wilson this week by reposting journalist Ari Hoffman’s blistering account of her response to the July 27 mass shooting at the Bite of Seattle food festival.

Three people were killed in the bloodshed.

Hoffman reported that Wilson refused to speak or turn on her camera during an emergency Zoom call hastily arranged for Washington leaders after the shooting.

She explained that privately owned stores that are in trouble will be able to apply for grants from the city, which is only going to make things worse, and far more expensive.

To recap, taxpayers pay for city-owned grocery stores and then, when those stores threaten privately owned stores, taxpayers will fund grants for those stores. The taxpayers just keep paying and paying, no matter what happens.

In other words, New York City may use taxpayer money to undercut local businesses, then use more taxpayer money to compensate them for the damage they caused.

“I think ultimately the goals of these locations, not just here in East Harlem, but you know, any borough location is to be complementary to the neighborhood,” Neer said. “And really, you know, rising tides, right? We can we can all cooperate and work together in a meaningful way. ”

Lawyers for accused Charlie Kirk assassin Tyler Robinson are arguing that prosecutors haven’t established a case for the potential death penalty in a new court filing made public Tuesday night.

“The facts and the law require this Court to strike the sole aggravating factor,” defense attorneys Kathy Nester, Michael Burt, Richard Novak and Staci Visser wrote in a 41-page brief.

After a weeklong preliminary hearing in early July, Judge Tony Graf Jr. gave both sides in the case time to file briefs before he makes a decision on whether there is enough probable cause to send the case to trial — which he is expected to announce on Sept. 1.

Robinson, 23, is accused of shooting the 31-year-old Kirk at Utah Valley University on Sept. 10, 2025, during a Turning Point USA event. Kirk had founded the group to promote conservatism on campuses around the country and was speaking in front of a crowd of more than 2,000 in the courtyard when he was struck and killed by a single bullet.

Robinson’s defense argued in Tuesday’s filing that prosecutors didn’t establish probable cause concerning the aggravating factor — that the shooting created a high probability of death to someone other than Kirk and that Robinson knew of that “high probability.”

Without the aggravator, the potential death penalty would be taken off the table.

“The State had over ten months to investigate the shooting death of Charlie Kirk and to develop legally sufficient evidence that Mr. Robinson ‘knowingly created a great risk of death to another other than Charlie Kirk and the defendant,’ the sole aggravator alleged in the Information which in theory exposes Mr. Robinson to the potential punishment of death,” Robinson’s attorneys wrote. “The State’s presentation of its evidence as to this alleged circumstance in aggravation at the preliminary hearing in July 2026 wholly fails to carry its burden of proof.”

A Trump-appointed federal judge green-lit a legal maneuver that could shield President Donald Trump’s financial records from disclosure.

U.S. District Judge Roy K. Altman of the Southern District of Florida issued the ruling in Trump’s $10 billion defamation lawsuit against the BBC.

The ruling came one day before a court-ordered deadline that would have forced Trump’s trust to hand over tax returns, financial statements, and ownership records for roughly 400 business entities, according to court documents.

According to Forbes, the subpoena covered individual Trump properties, Trump Media & Technology Group, the Trump Organization, crypto company World Liberty Financial, intellectual property, and personal assets including jewelry and art.

Trump’s trust filed an emergency motion the day before the deadline, asking Altman to block enforcement of the order, according to court filings.

The deadline Trump’s team was racing to beat had been set by U.S. Magistrate Judge Enjoliqué Lett, who issued a written order July 27 compelling the Trust to produce the records because Trump’s own lawsuit put his finances directly at issue.

“All of President Trump’s brand, properties, and businesses are impugned…and result in both economic and reputational damage, all of that is now at issue in the case,” Lett said at the July 27 discovery hearing, according to court transcripts.

Abdul El-Sayed, the Democratic nominee for U.S. Senate in Michigan, appeared on CNN’s “State of the Union” on Sunday and outlined plans contingent on Democrats securing a Senate majority after the November elections. In the interview with Jake Tapper, El-Sayed stated that reigniting partisan investigations into the Trump Administration would be a priority if he wins his race and Democrats take control of the chamber.

The Smithsonian Museum of American History has suffered a complete “ideological takeover,” warned Hillsdale professor Dr. Matthew Spaulding on “Washington Watch.” “There’s really nothing there about America.”

Instead, the museum in America’s capital that should tell America’s story has replaced that story with one “based on absolute relativism and nihilism, and [the notion that] politics is merely an assertion of power. In this case: ‘history is an assertion of power, and so we’re going to rearrange it.’”

Spaulding’s assessment aligns with a 162-page report released by the White House on July 4, which found the same concerning departure from America’s heritage. “Our central finding is not that the Museum has simply added overlooked stories, corrected perceived errors, or broadened its historical scope,” the report summarized.

“Rather, it is that Museum leadership has explicitly adopted an ideological framework that no longer treats the American story as a shared national inheritance to be taught or celebrated, but as a political instrument to divide, dispirit, and discourage our citizens.”
